Abram had an eager look on his face as he clutched his only great ball, a blue pokeball device that held his first start pokemon, a quick rub of the sides and a toss onto the floor released the large rock snake beast into the first route. Abe smiled as he greeted his newest Pokémon with a hearty "Hello. You ready?" The large gray beast shrugged and kind of grunted, almost as if he was better then this new aspiring trainer. But Abram would quickly show him something different once the first wild Pokémon appeared. Abram was currently just on the route looking through the grass hoping for some sort of visit from the pokemon, just wanting to train up his newest pokemon for now and make a few new partners.

There was a hiss from somewhere nearby; and the wild grass seemed to sway. As the young man spoke to his sizable rock Pokemon, a Purple snake Pokemon slithered onto the scene. The first thing it did when it saw the trainer and the giant rock snake, is try to make a U-turn and slither on away, but it was slow going, as it was a good few feet past the grass when it realized the two were here. ::Ekans:: Wild Ekans Appeared. Battle? Y/N.

"Ooh baby." he began to talk to the Ekans, this would be quick and easy (hopefully). Abram smirked before he cleared his hoarse voice and decided to let his new partner do some damage onto the Ekans. "Hey Rek. Rollout!" egg move to destroy all others. The rock pokemon began to spin creating a large circle form his body aimed straight for the wild snake pokemon.

Feeling the ground tremble beneath his lithe body, Ekans let out a panicked hiss and tried to slither faster, which was definitely difficult due to the many rocks and misshapen clumps of grass in his way. All he knew for sure was that he didn't want that giant... rock... thing coming anywhere near him, especially not if it was going to like, eat him, or something, and so he pushed his limits in order to escape.
And failed.
Though the breath was driven from him as he was plowed into the ground by the bulk of the attack, it didn't do as much damage as he thought it would. Not familiar with the attack, Ekans didn't realize that it would increase with power each turn, provided that it didn't miss, and then squash him flat.
No, instead, he took it to mean that his opponent was weak. Regaining his confidence, the Ekans hissed a challenge at the lumbering creature, swiveling around and baring sharp fangs in it's directions. <Nice try,> he taunted, clearly having no idea what sort of battle might be in store for him.
All the same, it was his turn now. Not closing his mouth, he reared back and then spat poison at the Onix, in the form of small barbs.
::ekans:: Hit by Rollout! Ekans used Poison Sting on Rek! [

The one thing Abram knew for sure was that poison attacks did such a miniscule amount of damage to ground/rock types that he had nothing to worry about, at all. ”You got this. Roll Out again!” he said with a dashing smile watching his newest pokemon use his moves to attempt to take down the snake.
The large rock snake curled up into a tighter ball and aimed straight for the Ekans hoping to hit it and take some of its health this time.

The purple and gold snake stood it's ground, in the wild pokemon that didn't stand their ground ended up other Pokemon's food; at least sometimes. And this giant rock snake would try to eat an Ekans, wouldn't it? Just look at it, of course it would! The snake pokemon tried to stand it's ground; hoping it could dodge or sidestep this rolling rock snake. This rock snake wasn't as strong as it seemed to be, obviously! But Onix rolled towards the snake a lot quicker than it had expected, and as the purple and gold snake tried to slither away, it was once again launched forward from the girth of the rock snake slamming into it with roll out; this time into midair a bit and skidding into the dirt, even further from the grass and safety. That certainly hurt more than the attack before. The snake Pokemon wasn't sure what to do, could it try to fight these beast, honestly? It wasn't sure- and tried to run away. ::Ekans:: Is trying to Flee.

No no no. This just wasn't going to happen. Abram had decided that he would catch the Ekans and make it be his first permanent starter. He cleared his throat and made the Onix rush after it. "EKANS. I know you can hear me. If you join my pokemon team I will stop attacking you, if you continue to flee. well. Sorry." he spoke in a cocky tone with his Onix right on its tail, ready to use another Roll Out if necessary.

Like the Snake was going to listen to a threat! Ekans knew better than that, his momma had taught him better! If he allowed himself to be enslaved by this human, from such a threat, what was going to stop the human from attacking him again and again? Ekans wouldn't be taken down so easily, no no no! It continued it's fleeing, it'd bring the battle to the Onix, Rollout or not, there were ways to beat every goliath! It rocketed into the grass, heading towards a small looking tree. ::Ekans:: Is Still Fleeing.

This is how it was going to be then, Abram shook his head and looked at Rek his strong reliant Pokémon. "Catch up and use Bind.Don't let it get away." Abram nodded and stopped walking to find the Ekans. He crossed his hands and waited as Rek rushed over trying to catch up with the Onix. He was smart, a strategist this Onix was and with his roll out he attempted to hit the tree attempting to break it or at least cause it to stumble. If his trainer wanted this Ekans, he would get this Ekans.

Ekans hissed as the massive rock snake drew closer, and tried to slither away into the nearby shrubbery, but he never got that far before he felt the Onix pick him up. Lifted away with his natural habitat, Ekans struggled vainly against the physically superior creature as he was lifted up and squeezed tightly, crying out in pain and the lament of lost freedom. >Let me go, you fiend!< hissed Ekans, panic making his voice more high pitched than normal. Not that he actually expected to be obeyed. Opening his mouth, he sent a barrage of venomous white needles at the Onix. ::ekans:: Hurt by Wrap. Ekans uses Poison Sting. [/B]

It wouldn't work, it just wouldn't. Poison attacks hardly did anything to the Onix. Really, all the Onix could do was to continue to use his bind squeezing every last ounce of health away from the Ekans before trying to capture it. Abram was getting really eager to how close he was to his catch, he clutched one of his five empty pokeballs waiting for the perfect time to throw it. "Keep going Onix! I have faith in you!" a little support never hurt and in honesty, this was the start to a budding relationship between pokemon and partner.

Ekans was growing desperate now, trying to writhe out of the Bind but the Onix seemed to have provided no means of escape. Ekans could definitely feel his energy draining as his struggles began to grow weaker and his breath starting to get shorter. Ekans tried to calm down and think through the situation, but the continous squeeze around his middle was proving to be a distraction. Ekans launched a fierce glare at the Onix, using his Leer attack to weaken the Rock Pokemon's defense. However, right when the Snake Pokemon's slitted eyes met the giant rock Pokemon, an idea sprung into his mind. Wasting no time, the Ekans spat poisonous needles at the Onix, this time aiming for the Rock Pokemon's eyes, which seemed to be the only weak spot. Losing health by BideUsed Leer then Poison Sting

Abram was over-confident, perhaps to much seeing how he was basically clutching the pokeball as if he was about to capture the Ekans. The battle hadn't been over yet and he was 'counting his chickens before they even hatched'. The Onix was a superior fighter and that wasn't the problem, what was wrong was that the brute strength of his pokemon didn't trump the cunningness and strategic ways of the Ekans. As the leer hit, Rek was also hit by the poison sting right into his eyes. "GREAT! NOOO." Abram shrieking as Onix lost all eye sight and was temporarily blinded. "Swing your tail. Attempt to hit the Ekans." It wasn't a legitimate move but he would try, Rek placed his tail all the ground and rotated it into a 360 degree angle hoping to at least hit the opponent but he was aiming blind, he had no idea and neither did Abram.

The purple and gold snake hissed at the swing of motion, and was thrown off from it and the lack of constraint, falling the several feet from the rock snake to the ground. Ekans landed face first, and then fell onto it's back, trying to slither through the grass, and away from the Ekans. It had broke its bide by trying to use it's tail like that, and Ekans hoped to never experience that rock snake's bide again, his body hurt with every slither. ::Ekans:: Is trying to escape.

"No. No No No." Abram began his thought process, he wanted this Ekans really badly. "Use Mud Sport to try and slow down the Ekans." he commanded his Onix and he released a large amount of mud trying to slow down the wild Pokémon.
He waited and cringed hoping for the best.

The mud sport worked magnificently, and the mud shot at the Ekans slowed it immensely, it slithered and slithered and slithered some more, but was moving at a pace of about 10 centimeters a minute from the fact he couldn't get a grip on the dirt below him as it had turned into mud. The beast grumbled like a demon upon hallow ground, giving curses that momma arbok would've tailslapped him for saying. It was so frustrating; but he wouldn't give up! He leered at the young trainer. ::Ekans:: Used Leer on Abram.

As Abram was getting leered at Rek was finally unblinded and was able to attack. "Perfect ! Use Rollout Rek!" he roared as he cringed by the leer attack. Rek smirked and clutched himself into a ball and rolled straight for the Ekans hoping that this would hopefully be it.

The Earth-shaking Rock Snake rolled too quickly for the purple and gold snake to make a move. The combination of Mudsport and Rollout. It was close to tears as the rock snake came closer to Ekans, and when it hit, it was out like a light. What it thought was its life flashing before it hit as it drifted into unconsciousness; its marriage to the Paras he so favored on the hallowed ground of his family's mating tree- something that hadn't happened... he was missing what could be. The snake struggled against unconsciousness, but fell from the weight of that rock Pokemon pressing against him and knocking him to the ground. Now was the chance for Abram to add the snake to his team. ::Ekans:: Ekans has fainted. Attempt to catch? Y/N.

Excited Abram was overly ecsatic as he looked at his Onix with a grin, he returned his large rock snake pokemon and threw a pokeball over to the fainted Ekans hoping that it would stay in its pokeball. For Abram's first battle, this one surely was hectic and he could have only hoped that the rest of his battles wouldn't be this hard and it would get easier in time.

The Pokeball spiraled through the air, before rolling and landing upon the Ekans. It opened up as the button was hit by the unconscious body of the purple and gold snake, and then the ball shot a beam of energy out, swallowing up the Ekans, and twirling in the direction of Abram by a few centimeters. The ball rocked back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. Inside, the unconscious Ekans was trying with all his might to escape the ball- but his unconsciousness was too concise. The pokemon had been caught, and would be saying 'hallow!' to none of his friends anymore. ::Ekans:: Level: 4 Abilities: { Intimidate + Shed skin } Attacks: Wrap, Leer, Poison Sting Gender: Male Personality: Has horrible direction sense. The rest you decide. Rek gains 1 level.
