Abram walked over to his newly captured Ekans (who he officially named Kol, pronounced Coil) and released the snake Pokémon to the world. It was about time that he finally took his journey and actually captured his first Pokémon. "Here." he spoke. The wounds healed quickly. He smiled and spoke, "Kol. Let's find some wild Pokémon to battle." with that, his new relation with his Ekans has began.

The ambitious trainer just wanted to train, if it was a battle he was going to make Kol do. He seemed a little headstrong but Abram was willing to mold and shape the Ekans to a powerful fighter. "Kol. Listen to me, you're going to attack the Nidoran. Use a Leer attack and Poison Sting." He smirked and watched the snake spring into action.
The Ekans was quick and subtle with his movements moving through the grass using his eyes to lower the Nidoran's defense. From a distance Ekans readied his attack, coiling up and leaping into the air he shot a flurry of white needles known as poison sting straight at the Nidoran.

As strong as the Nidoran had been, the power of Ekans intimidate ability did essentially lower the attack of the Nidoran. Abram kept his cool and watched the fight unravel, something about the opponent wasn't essentially right but he had enough faith in Col to succeed in this battle that he wasn't worried at this point. "Take the Peck attack and use Bite!" Abram commanded to his Ekans waiting to see how this would unfold.
Kol gave a sinister-like smile as he waited coiled up like the typical snake ready to lunge forward and attack. As Nidoran used peck Kol did cringe in pain, but he knew his goal. He leapt forward and attempted a nice powerful bite attack on his opponent hoping to cling onto the Nidoran for dear life.

Nidoran wondered why the Ekans made no attempt to dodge the sharp impact of his horn, but soon gathered why when the Ekans' teeth clamped around his leg, making him yelp in pain and try to shake it off for dear life. Hopefully some of the poison on his body would go into the Ekans' through this attack thanks to his Poison Point Ability and he could prepare to launch another Peck attack. But.... what was this? His body had frozen up in fear! His breath caught in his throat. No no no, this couldn't happen now! He still had something to prove against this snake! But there was nothing he could do now. He was trapped in place for these critical few seconds. It would cost him. He knew it. ::nidoranm:: Nidoran flinched.

This wouldn't stop Ekans from trying his best to defeating the fellow male, he took a deep breath as his entire body was soiled with poison slowly sapping away from his health. This wasn't a problem though, in a few turns it would most definetly not be an issue they would have to worry about anymore. Abram winced before commanding his pokemon, "Poison Sting. Once More!" he roared with a fury like no other trainer had.
The Ekans looked at the wincing pokemon and attacked quickly sending a barrage of white needles straight towards the foe with no mercy.

The Ekans was rather merciless as the Nidoran was barraged with white poisonous needles, the poison spreading through it's small body rapidly. The poison started to be so strong that if the Nidoran had some mithdrate it would probably not remove half of the poison within his body now. The Nidoran was definitely poisoned and as a response he tried his very best to poke the Ekans hard with his horn, but it was not as easy as he thought. Hit by Poison Sting, Poisoned.Using Peck.

Luckily for the Ekans, his ability called Shed Skin would've got rid of the poison if he wasn't already a poison-type Pokémon. The Ekans although very weak and a new Pokémon battler, it already showed extreme promise as a core member of Abram's team. "Kol. Wait for the Peck to hit, then use Wrap and Leer!" Abram had forgotten one of the most important rules, poison Pokémon can't get poisoned so there was really no use at all in using Poison Sting. Abram cringed as he clutched his hands awaiting for his Pokémon to execute his strategy.
Kol smirked and winced as the peck attack was used, his eyes enlarged as he used a leer attack trying to lower his opponent's defense attack. The Ekans then attempted to wrap himself around the Nidoran trying to suffocate the fellow poison type.

The Nidoran scowled as the Wrap came his way. The Leer making him think twice about attacking made him stay put a second. He didn't have a chance to dodge the incoming Wrap. The Ekan's body wrapped around his small body and he let out a cry of pain. He struggled to get out but it seem like it was no use. Instead of letting his chance go to waste he decided to use the close range to get a good Peck on the Ekans. His small horn on his head glowed slightly as he tilted it and intended to Peck the Ekans into letting him go.

It was pretty obvious that Kol was getting tired and quickly, "Use a Bite! again. I have faith in you." Abram was often clenching his fists almost worrying that his Ekans was going to lose. He needed to give his Ekans some time to rest and after this battle was over, he would, it would be a new pokemon's turn to try it's best to defeat some random pokemon. Kol used its tail to absorb the peck attack and retaliated with a strong bite attack hoping that this battle would be over soon enough.

Nidoran tried to avoid the incoming bite, with a gnashing of teeth and a cry of pain, his side was trapped in the Nidoran's inescapable jaws, and he squealed in pain as he tried to wrest himself free. Eventually wriggling free, leaving behind a significant amount of blood on the Ekans' lips, he tried to attack, but once again, his body was freezing up. And there couldn't have been a worse time for it, because all of these attacks were starting to get to him. Staggering forward, trying desperately to muster the energy for one last attack on the weakening Ekans, his horn glowed weakly as Nidoran began to start a Peck attack. But it was much too late for that, and his body had already seized up. Before he knew it, his horn had faded back to its original pink. ::nidoranm:: Nidoran is weakening. Nidoran flinched. [/B]

That was extremely lucky, the Nidoran flinched and this would be the perfect time to finish it off. "Use a Poison Sting from a distance! You don't want it to get close and attack you!" he yelled at Kol as the Ekans was overly excited by finally finishing his first true battle. From his mouth white needles began to emerge from his lips and was aimed straight for the Male Nidoran.

The poison sting knocked the poor thing over, he was too weak to even withstand an attack like that. It made the topple over seem so long; mind still reeling from that berry he had awhile ago. The nidoran felt so disoriented, and he passed out flatly on the spot. He hoped, at least, that maybe this trainer would spare him. He felt so stupid, if only he hadn't had that berry he wouldn't be in this stupid mess.
::NidoranM:: Nidoran Male has fainted, the ekans gains 1 level! Capture or move on?

Abram was in relief when the Nidoran fainted, this happened right when Ekans was on the floor almost about to pass out. Abe took out his Ekans' pokeball and returned it back into its pokeball. "Goodjob Kol. Go Tyr." he released his Cyndaquil onto the scene. "Hey Tyr. You ready? Let's go find some pokemon." he told to his Cyndaquil as they left the Nidoran Male on the floor not trying to capture it at all. Abram was a strict trainer and usually never overloaded his party (like he did recently) but he trimmed the fat and would only focus on Cyndaquil for now.

::Oddish::
An oddish was bopping up and down in a nearby grass pile, it was playing hide and seek with itself. Don't ask how it worked, but it did. He was glad that it was all bushy and such or it would be a very sad day for him. He was talking to himself, too.
<"Boo! I found you! Haha! You're it now!"> He cheerfully proclaimed before continuing to play games alone. He just really wanted some friends. He pretended it wasn't lonely playing alone, but he had to keep playing! He'd rather play games alone than be bored by himself.
::Oddish:: Mood: Happy The oddish is playing hide and seek! He doesn't notice your presence, interfere?

Abram wasn't heartless at all he just really felt the need to train his Cyndaquil, it was the only pokemon he had now and because of this he needed to really train up his pokemon before he went anywhere on his route. After being on this route for at least an hour or so he finally decided what he wanted, the lad had decided he was searching for a glameow and wouldn't stop until he found one. "Oh Look Tyr. It's Oddish. I'd feel kind of bad to battle it but let's just do it. Quick. Ember at the Oddish." he said with a small smile. Tyr felt slightly bad but he did need to listen to the trainer.
<"I apologize."> the Cyndaquil spoke to the Oddish quickly before he released a large barrage of flames straight at the grass pokemon.

It's an Oddish World { Oddish } Hit by Ember (Super Effective) Is Getting Weaker from Level 10 Ember Uses Sweet Scent + Absorb
As the Oddish was practicing finding himself within the big grassy foliage, he couldn't help but sigh from time to time. He did have a friend once, but he was told that he was a bad influence, and he couldn't be friends with that nice Starly.
He didn't entirely get the don't play with your food' lesson that parents liked to talk about, because food was fun. His mother would always tell him to stop using Oran Berries as a ball, but she never told him why. The look in her eyes would always be enough of the scare to tell him to not ask questions and accept it as law.
If his little Starly friend was here right now, he knew he could be happily flying up in the sky. A bit distraught, he stared up into the great blue, wishing so bad he could be free up there instead of being doomed to land. It looked so much more exciting up there, and after getting one small taste of the sky, it was unbearable being denied from it now.
But apparently he was food? His friend would never see him as food, he knew it. They ate similar things. And no friend of his was a killer. No friend at all. Yet the last time he saw his Starly friend, he was being flown off to the south with his mother, apparently getting some training as a hunter. When, or if he ever came back...he would still be his friend, right?
<...Starly?!> He exclaimed, hearing a small voice behind him. Tears were in his eyes with excitement, prepared to embrace his friend with the best Oddish hug he could manage, but he froze, seeing a humble Cyndaquil instead. He could only freeze, no thought racing through his mind as he tried to register what was going on. Then, Embers shot him right down to the ground.
He was...under attack? It was all so hot. It hurt. A lot. He weakly let out a Sweet Scent in order to try and attract other Pokemon into the area, but no one seemed to come upon using it. Realizing that he was by himself, he got right back up, teary faced at the Cyndaquil. If he wanted to play rough, then he could match him! A weak Absorb was used on the fire type, hinting at his low level.

All Abram could really do was yawn as he waited for his Cyndaquil to beat the Oddish. "Ember once more." he spoke with confidence as the Cyndaquil had his evasiveness lowered as well as a small amount of health from the absorb. The fire pokemon released more flames from his face straight to the Oddish.
Abram clutched onto the egg that he found rubbing it slowly attempting to heat it up, this would be a long road to getting his egg to hatch.
::egg:: Incubated for 1 post. [/center]
