Stan was shaking in his metaphorical boots. He sure wasn't expecting to be thrown into a raging battle of good versus evil. He kind of wished he was happily munching on Berries like when he was a wee Wurmple. But as fate would have it, his trainer's other Pokemon were still worn out and he also had quite a level advantage. Still, the Silcoon's trainer had high hopes. "Stan, cover that Bellsprout while he's charging up! Use some brute force on Nidoran!" He only wished she was kidding, but she seemed to take a liking to this lone samurai. <Yanno, it takes about half my strength just to blink my eye... I don't know how she expects me to launch myself at-- aahhh!>Waru had run over and grabbed him in mid-thought, and did the launching for him. As the Silcoon tumbled toward the enemy, he gathered himself and prepared a Tackle. ::silcoon:: used Tackle on Nidoran female.

OOC: Battle music for this fight. The nidoran female was extremely flustered by all of this, the bellsprout had been fighting her and now some random silicoon was attacking her! She'd show him! She dodged the tackle from the silicoon, making her way for the bellsprout. He tackled her, sending her flying a bit. She teched mid-air like any ninja, catching her hind legs on a tree. She used it to propel herself foward in a Tackle. She'd avenge her master, this bellsprout's master had killed her master! She'd avenge him for sure! Her determination fueled her rage to kill this lowly peon. ::NidoranF:: Mood: Angry Nidoran dodged Tackle but was hit by another Tackle! Nidoran used Tackle on Bellsprout!::Bellsprout:: Mood: Surprised Bellsprout is hit by Tackle and does nothing!

(OOC: love that music. ovo ) This battle was proceeding too fast for the cocoon Pokemon. That's what the problem was! Sending in an immobile bug against a martial arts student wasn't one of Waru's better ideas. However, this bug was the only choice she had. She'd just have to make the playing field even. "Stan! Fire another String Shot! Then even you might be able to touch that Nidoran... " She'd said that last bit under a hushed voice, though Stan got the message. With an exhasperated sigh (which came out as more of a muffled Pokespeak), the cocoon Pokemon spat out another string of goop at the Nidoran and mustered all of his strength into catapulting himself into her. ::silcoon:: used String Shot, then Tackle on Nidoran female

Jingle Jangle Jingle Jangle. The Bells they ring. Jingle Jangle Jingle Jangle. Santa's helpers, presents they bring. Jingle Jangle Jangle Jingle. It's a busy night for Chris Kringle. The air became chilly- as if the winds of change and uncertainty had rolled in. Snow flurried- snow rushed forward, it was a white night- and there were Pokémon all about it; all through it. A swarm of little red and white knights of Kringle rushed forward: to what? Were they were really at the task of delivering presents to all good little Pokémon? They were questions to be left unanswered for now. “Delidelidelibiiiiiiird!” the red and white delivery birds cawed out as they poured over the route; and one did more than that. <To work to work to work, we go we skip we hop!> for those that understood Pokespeech. <Jingle Jangle Jingle Jangle! Its a special night!> they called. <Tsk tsk, fighting on this day!> The little red and white bird shook its head at the battle that was going on, and at the Pokémon there- at the trainer watching its Pokémon battle. It let forth a giggle or the closest thing it could quack out to a giggle, and threw a present towards the Silcoon. Used Present on Silcoon. Please read the OOC note. The Bellsprout, however- was not fazed by the arrival of the red and white bird. He didn't believe in Santa Claws anyways, who ever heard of a giant Linoone dressed like a Delibird giving out presents to children and good Pokémon? Preposterous! The Nidoran female, however- was not so lucky. Her ninja upbringing had made her believe in all the kami- and that included Santa Claws. So of course when one of the mighty red and white ninja Linoone's minions came about, she'd be distracted, afraid. So prone to paying attention to it, that she didn't even notice the tackle slamming into her from the Silcoon- or the Vine Whip twap coming at her from the Bellsprout! Hit twice, how unfair. But a shinobi-nin endured! so she focused as she slammed her body forward in a counter tackle to rid herself of this pestering dogooder, this Silcoon! Used Vine Whip On NidoranF!Hit by Tackle, Vinewhip! Somewhat Hurt! ooc; Please use the Die Roller on Invisible Castle to roll a D4, and link it back in your next post. If it's a 1, the present is minor attack. If it's a 2, it is moderate attack. A 3, it's a strong attack. A 4, and Silcoon is healed. <3 ]

(OOC: Here's the roll~ invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2815405/ ) As if this day couldn't get any more confusing, another stroke of bad luck hit the playing field as the flock of Delibirds swooped by. This Silcoon's new trainer must be a magnet for attention! Of course, one of the festive bird Pokemon had to join in on the merry action. He hurled the Present at the Silcoon, though it only impacted with a "squeak" and small damage. <Oh great, now I'm being pestered by stocking-stuffers... do all traded Pokemon go through this?>However, his trainer, Waru, was all sorts of excited over the newcomer. "Stan, is this not the coolest thing ever!? It's a... a... Santa bird! We HAVE to catch this!" The Silcoon sighed in resignation... Whatever makes his trainer happy, he concluded. But on the bright side, this would let the other two ninja Pokemon have their honorable battle. With Waru's orders, he Hardened his body in case this snarky bird had any more tricks up his sleeve, then spat out a sharp Poison Sting. Though, attacking the Santa of Pokemon may land him coal this season... ::silcoon:: diverts his attention to Delibird, uses Harden, and Poison Sting on it.

Bellsprout grinned, satisfied that he was overcoming the Nidoran F with the help of the intruding Silcoon's attacks. Without another second to lose, the Bellsprout thrust the stick once more at Nidoran, emitting vines that curled around the stick and added to the blow. A shriek left the Nidoran's lips, but although she was becoming quite tired, she was not out for the count. The purple dino leapt at Bellsprout once more for another Tackle, hitting him square in his roots.
Delibird gave a squawk of surprise as the Poison Sting lodged itself in his feathery behind, reaching down and rubbing it rather unjoyously. <Hey! Mean Pokémon get put on the naughty list, you know~!> Squawked the bird. In counterattack, the bird tossed another Present at the Silcoon.
Hit by Vine Whip. Used Tackle on Bellsprout. Weak.
Used Vine Whip on Nidoranf. Hit by Tackle.
Hit by Poison Sting. Used Present on Silcoon.

<Aah!> The Silcoon braced himself for the hurled Present then did a double-take as the gift made no painful impact. In fact, some mysterious force inside it re-energized him! Perhaps the Delibird grabbed the wrong present? The trainer Waru, on the sidelines, gave the Bellsprout genuine encouragement. It seemed their battle wasn't going to last much longer with the Nidoran's weaked condition. She only hoped that she was rooting for the right side... it was tough seeing any Pokemon get hurt. However, she quickly remembered that her own Pokemon was fighting the good fight. She still couldn't believe all those Delibird passing by, and right here was her chance to capture one of her own! "Stan, fire another Poison Sting! He didn't seem to enjoy that last time." The Silcoon jumped, if only a few inches from the ground, and let loose another attack on the Delibird. Even he was starting to gain confidence thanks to his opponent's clumsy Present-throwing. ::silcoon:: was healed by Delibird's Present, uses Poison Sting on Delibird.

The Bellsprout Bushi was inspired by this trainer's words even as the poison pin pokemon gone ninja threw another tackle. The girl's words made it feel more mentally strong as the tackle came, again aimed to knock it off its roots. The Bushi waited, waited, waited, and as the tackle came, ran forward, hopping upon the Nidoran female's back, and swinging a Vinewhip from that place at her. The Delibird squawked angrily at the attack from Silcoon, trying to dodge the attack with a roll, but hit in the stomach by the volley of poison stings instead, and squawking even louder! This Silcoon was a bad boy, bad bad bad! <You are definitely on the naughty list! Have some Gyarados Poo!> The red and white Delivery Bird Pokemon hurled another present Silcoon's way. ::Bellsprout:: Dodged Tackle, used Vine Whip.
::Nidoranf:: Used Tackle, hit by Vinewhip. Weakening!
::Delibird:: Hit by Poison Sting! Angry! Used Present on Silcoon!

(OOC~ invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2818724/ omg another heal. ) Waru was keeping an eye on both skirmishes. The bushi and ninja were nearing the end of their battle, and it was clear that the ninja was about to be knocked into next week. She was afraid the Bellsprout might go on his seperate way while this sudden bird-catching was going on. However, she was ready to accept that... besides, this Delibird would bring her team some nice holiday cheer. The Silcoon dared not imagine what horrors this Gyarados Poo might entail. All he could do was brace himself for the impact. Bonk~There was no noxious smell, no pain. He had gotten another health boost! <This Delibird may be the odd one of the flock...>The trainer scratched her chin. "This is one... interesting Pokemon. He must be playing mind games, then he'll take us all by surprise. Stan, slow him down with String Shot and go for another Poison Sting! This bird can't fool us!" <I'm not so certain he knows what he's doing, either...> The Silcoon sprayed some sticky goop at the Delibird, then fired another volley. ::silcoon:: Healed by Delibird's Present, used String Shot and Poison Sting on Delibird.

So Many Pokémon! { Nidoran } Fainted.
{ Bellsprout } Winnar. Attempts to leave. Stop?
{ Delibird } (Speed -1) Hit by Poison Sting Poisoned Uses Present
The final Vine Whip from the Bellsprout brought this noble battle between different regions to an end. The Bellsprout gave a confident bow, despite his weakness from the fight. He was still kind enough to display respect to his opponent, after all. That was his way, after all. With the battle done, at the most he could give the trainer and her Cascoon a wave of his leaf before departing into the foilage. Only the fainted Nidoran remained in the path, body resting in the snow until she could wake up from her slumber.
<Ugh! So naughty!> The Delibird huffed with distaste as the String Shot lightly coated his vibrant red feathers. He nearly looked all white at this point, as his body seemed to blend in with the softly falling snow around him. Raising a wing to pull out another present from his bag, the Poison Sting shot him in the chest. Infecting him. Poisoning him.
It stung each time he breathed, and made the battle extremely uncomfortable to deal with. As he backed up to regain some of his posture, he tossed the rainbow colored sphere at the Cascoon, really hoping it wouldn't heal it this time.

Waru had witnessed the epic battle's end and bowed her own respect to the fallen adversary. Though when she looked back up and saw the Bellsprout take his leave, panic struck. This lone warrior was just too cool to pass up! "Hey, wait! Brave warrior Bellsprout!" She only hoped that he understood, or even had enough interest to join this wayward team of newbies. After all, up to this point he needed no support. Stan the Silcoon winced a bit as the next Present landed. It stung a little, like back when he was a Wurmple and played Poison Sting tag with his woodland buddies. He looked back to his trainer for further command, but found her attention dwelling elsewhere. <Oh good, my trainer's looking away again... and I'm left with an angry bird. I need to defend myself somehow!>Delibird was oh-so-furious on top of feeling icky from the poison. Stan had to do something. He gathered his strength and pushed himself forward into a Tackle. It was times like these that he wished he was out of his cocoon stage already! Hit by Present for light damage, used Tackle on Delibird. invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2823301/

[ooc; As I know you drew the picture, just wanted to say. <3 Totally totally awesome.~ ]The Bellsprout was experienced enough in the forms of human communication and attitudes to realize this girl wanted him for something, and she and her vassal had helped him slightly in his battle against the ninja whom hated he and his master so. So it stood there, looking at the girl for a moment, before giving her a gentle bow, using it's stick as if it was apart of its body as it did, the former limb of a tree or bush moving against him like a Samurai's daisho. <I appreciate your help, miss, but do not know why you tarry my travels.> it waxed to her in Pokespeak, the words coming out more like 'Bell, beeeelll, sprout! Belbelbelsprout! Belsprout!' to the human ears. He looked at her with a serene level of calmness. --- The Delibird which was in battle with Stan glared at the cocoon Pokemon intensely, calculating the right second to attempt a dodge of the rocketing tackle it was sending it's way, and moving to jump upon it's powerful little flipper like feet. It waited and waited, trying to launch a point blank Present at the Silcoon while it tried to dodge his tackle, but distracted as the important moment happened, thanks to the poisoned status he had been inflicted with. The tackle hit him and knocked him back; making it so that the Delibird could barely toss his prepared present at the Silcoon. ::Delibird:: Hit by Tackle. Hurt by Poison. Slighty hurt. Used Present on Silcoon.

(OOC: Die Roll - this Delibird has horrible luck... xD; ) Waru was thrilled that the Bellsprout had understood her, though soon became flustered as he spouted words in his own language. His tone of voice didn't sound threatening, however, so she took that as a notion to explain herself. "Bellsprout-kun, you fought valiantly out there. The way you move is swift and sure. My Pokémon are kinda busy at the moment, but would you take them as your students and help them learn the ways of the just?" The plant Pokemon's beady eyes were impossible to read... perhaps he was deep in thought, or he wasn't interested at all? --- The Delibird's next thrown Present had only stung the Silcoon for light damage again. He was feeling a bit shaken, though probably not as badly as his opponent. Still, Tackling was a tiring ordeal. <I know this will probably land me coal on Christmas for the rest of my life, but... > Stan took a sharp breath and spat out another barrage of poisonous thorns at the Delibird. Hit by Present for light damage, used Poison Sting on Delibird.

Route 1 - I hear birds...
The Bellsprout was quite surprised at the Trainer's request. He wanted him to instruct his Pokémon on the ways of the just? He had never thought of a teaching position before but it certainly would put his skills to use and for a productive reason as well! He closed his eyes and stroked the invisible beard on his bottom lip with a leaf. He felt like he could just meld into his surroundings the way he was feeling right now.
<"A teaching position? You honor me with such a request. However, I am at a loss as to how to respond. It would be a nice change from simply wandering about,"> said the Bellsprout. He kept his distance from the Trainer as if they were having an encounter. There was a strange sound of a gong being rung as well. Where in the hell did that come from...? Oh well, it's best not to ask questions.
The Delibird was very angry with himself; he was throwing all the good presents at the Silcoon! What a terrible waste! Not only that but he was now poisoned from those blasted little barbs. He had to keep going, though. This little Cocoon Pokémon was ticking him off with his bravado!! He reached into his bag and threw out another Present at his opponent without another word. He felt a burning sensation inside his body from the poison but paid it no heed. He was far too angry to care.
- Bellsprout is contemplating your request. Continue to try to persuade?
- Delibird used Present on Silcoon!
- Delibird was hurt by poison!

(OOC: Present Roll - light damage (this is horrible, horrible luck xD)) || contemplation... A gong rang from an unknown direction. The girl looked up and around, wrought with confusion... However, much stranger things were happening at the moment. She knew her words struck something in the Bellsprout, though it would take a little more convincing for a martial arts master such as himself. This moment was actually quite intimidating for the trainer. "With all respect, Bellsprout-kun, the Nidoran you conquered was not your only enemy? Maybe if we join forces, we could restore peace to this region?" By this point, Waru was talking way too big... a newbie group taking on the forces of evil? Well, you have to start somewhere. --- The next hurled Present imbued with comtempt still only lightly stung the Silcoon. This was becoming a very one-sided battle. <Here I am, facing off against my worst fear-- a bird-- and I'm... winning?>The cocoon Pokémon shook with excitement at this revelation. Gone were the days of cowering in fear of every opponent! No more stalling with Harden for this born-again Pokémon! Stan took another leap of faith and Tackled the Delbird with his newfound strength. Bravado, however, can be one's worst mistake-- for this Delibird's Presents could blow you away! [/center] --- ::silcoon:: Hit by Present for light damage, used Tackle on Delibird.

Pokemon encounter ! Bellsprout nodded as he listened to the human's reasoning. He disagreed that the Nidoqueen he'd just fought was his enemy - they were lone warriors, often sparring to train one another, and it wasn't technically correct to call each other evil. But he didn't bring it up. Rather, the idea of bringing peace to the land appealed to his sense of balance. <You are correct. There has been too much evil to balance the good,> He replied knowingly, rubbing his chin with a leaf. <Very well. I accept your offer.> The Bellsprout said finally, nodding at the trainer.
Meanwhile, the Delibird was in dire condition. The poison had been sapping at his health for a while, and the contending insect was stronger than him to begin with. As the tackle connected, he felt his vision blacken, his conscious thought leaving him as he collapsed onto the white, crunched snow.
::bellsprout:: Accepts your offer. ::delibird:: Fainted. Stan gains 1 level. It is possible to attempt capture.

(OOC: OH PFFF, I forgot about the snow when drawing that last image~)"Heeee!" Waru clapped her hands together but quickly composed herself, "Er, thank you for extending your hand-- er, leaf-- to this wayward caravan." Instead of disrespectfully chucking a Pokeball at the Bellsprout, the trainer kneeled in front of him and clicked the front button of the ball, which enveloped him in a vacuum of red light. The Pokeball wobbled as it processed the capture. <Ahem!>The Silcoon's call for attention sounded more like a gritty spouting of his name. Waru turned sharply at the sound to find her Pokemon motioning with his eye at the fainted Delibird. "OH STAN, good job!" The trainer leaped over and fumbled about for another Pokeball. "Well Delibird, at least you can quit your day job now." She dropped the Pokeball and watched as the bird Pokemon got sucked in and wobbled about as well. Suddenly, the girl felt something tickle her shoulder. She yelped and jumped away as she learned it was the feeler of the colorful butterfly Pokemon hovering over her. Confused, she looked over for her Silcoon... then she put two and two together. "Whooooa Stan, you went and evolved on me! You're such a manly-looking butterfly." (OOC: Sorry for the lag, I've been busy... @_@)Waru always loved snow, but only if she was playing in it. Now she was responsible for the care of five Pokemon, all which seemed to join her in a flash. They were currently snug in their Pokeballs inside her backpack, away from the cold. The trainer wiped her face drenched of snow with her gloves and looked ahead with squinted eyes. She reckoned the first town shouldn't be too far ahead, though another patch of tall grass stood in her way. Waru trudged inside, coat pulled up to her face | Entering tall grass...

In the grass, which was surprisingly tall enough to have been visible above the few inches of snow, was occupied by quite a number of hibernating Pokémon. It was like walking into a landmine; one could easily kick a slumbering rattata or zigzagoon without even noticing they were there.
A trio of Buneary were huddled together for warmth in Waru's path, snoring quietly as they slept through the snowy day at a perfectly comfortable temperature. Waru's boots came in contact with one of them, but she was so soundly asleep that she only turned over, continuing to lie asleep.
Wake 'em up?
