Quil left from the electric city, finding all the people rushing to the PokeCenter's aid to be strangely infuriating. Plus the soft murrmers among them about Team Death, Quil often heard the question floating around on who or what Team Death was. He wanted to whip out his Pokémon and show them all who Team Death really was. They would soon be sorry.
But, of course, that would be reckless. Quil might be an angered person, but he wasn't putting his position at risk for a bunch of newbie trainers. With these ponderings, he had soon lost track of how far he had walked, but soon he realized the bridge was right in front of him. Quil hmmed, a fishing pole would be nice, to catch some of those rare Pokémon for Team Death. Too bad he didn't have one. Oh well, he could fix that.
Quil spotted a larger set man sitting on a bucket fishing, it looked like a serious Fisherman. That means he has a good pole, Quil assumed. How should he go about doing this? Politely ask if he can borrow it for a moment? Yeah no.
Quil grabbed a pokeball off his belt and tossed it in his hand, considering ideas. Finally he just released his Electrabuzz, knowing he was intimadating with his electric prowess and his size. Z let out a roar, pleased he was finally out of his confinement and looked around, a crazed look in his eye. Quil marched towards the fisherman, and yelled, "HEY! YOU! Give me that pole!"
Quil shook his head as he rid himself from that strange daydream. It was a good one, but it's not like there were any fishmen convientently located around here. Instead of carrying out his master plan, foiled by some spirits in the air, because there was no fishermen around. Even more sullen that a great idea would go to waste, Quil continued along the path.

A Goldeen rested at the side of the pond, her body half exposed and half sunk within the water. She sighed in a content manner, pleased with the dream she was having with that hunk of a Bidoof that lived nearby. Her tail flickered from side to side, covering her body like a blanket before slithering back into the water.
Her droopy eyes began to slightly part, giving her blurry vision to the world before her. With a sigh, she realized that her body had become quite dry from her nap. She slipped back underwater with her orange and golden colors glittering beneath the water's surface. When her face emerged once more, she let out a thick spray of water up above her.
In fact, anyone in the area would've been hit by her Water Sport. Now the weather would've fit her preferred humidity, at least for a while. This dry, cold late autumn weather was hardly in her tastes.

Even in his dreamy stupor Quil heard a faint splashing noise off to his left, and with great haste, turned to confront the noise. He was quick enough to catch a shimmer of gold and orange, and stood quietly, seeing if the Pokémon would reveal itself. Hopefully it wasn't a Magikarp. The waves from the splash lapped at the bridge, and Quil placed his hand in his pocket, and wrapped his hand around the orb that rested there. It was similar to a draw off between two cowboys, except for the fact that it was Quil and a Pokémon.
Suddenly, a Goldeen popped up nearby, and before Quil had time to react, a Water Sport covered the area, making Quil considerably wet. The young man, stood, albeit stunned at what just happened, his socks were now squishing in his shoes. In a fuming silence, Quil pulled out the orb he had held in his hand, and with a click of the button, released the Electabuzz that had been hiding inside.
"Thunderbolt."
The Pokémon let out a crazed roar, certainly alerting the Goldeen to its presence, and with the command, released a great bolt of shining electricity into the lake, making it shimmer with the electricity conducting throughout it, it would be almost impossible for any Pokémon within the radius of the attack to not be hit.

Goldeen Hit by Thunderbolt WeakeningUses Supersonic + Horn Attack
<War? Why, it looks like it.> She commented to herself, feeling a bit like a narrator in her own world of bubbles and laughter. The raging yellow lightning bolt started to charge with something every water type feared-- electricity. Why, that cheap loser. Spouting such a difficult attack to avoid into the water. She made an attempt to splash herself to freedom, but the yellow blast struck her at once.
It went through her body, like millions off needles stabbed themselves within her, and her heart was stopping and starting repeatedly. She could only let out a pained moan as she dropped helplessly back into the water, dazed and in tremendous pain.
Um. Um. What should she do? Attack, right? Defend her honor? She let out a high pitched squeal to try and confuse the electric type. Once she successfully let that attack out, she splashed out of the water to aim a Horn Attack at the Electabuzz's side.

Quil nodded his head, letting his Electabuzz that he was pleased with the outcome. The Goldeen seemed rather stunned, and Quil could easily see why. That much voltage in the water must be excruciatingly painful. Quil waited for a long moment, without any movement from the Goldeen.
...Did he knock it out already?
However as soon as that question was asked, a high pitched squeal came from the pokemon, causing Quil to wince and a throbbing headache start. Stupid Pokemon, he turned to Electrabuzz to give him an order, only to find him sitting on the bridge, looking around him, dazed.
Oh crap. No. Quil groaned, was his pokemon really confused? Before he had any time to react, the Goldeen leaped out of the water and stabbed his electric type multiple times with her horn. Electabuzz lay on the bridge, confused and in pain. Luckly, it wasn't very effective, but Quil still wanted to end this battle soon.
"Z! Leer! Then Thundershock!"
The Electabuzz, in his stupor managed to locate the Goldeen and Leer at it, but when he stood to attempt the Thundershock, the electricity shot up into the air. Quil groaned.
Z is confused. Horn Attack hit. Z used Leer. Thundershock missed.

Goldeen smiled softly, her heavily lidded eyes closing a little as she relaxed. This Pokemon was rather easily confused. perhaps her earlier panic had been an overreaction. Electricity was powerful, yes. But in incompetent hands, it was as useless as it would be against a Ground Type. Goldeen prided herself on being one of the strongest of her kind on the Route, and knew a few tricks that not every Goldeen that settled here learnt in its lifetime. It was her trump card, and if it hit the perplexed Electrabuzz, it would hurt. Opening her mouth, blue streams of water began to surge from the lake that was her home and into her mouth. The streams fused together to become a large, powerful sphere, approximately the size of a football. With a grunt of exertion, Goldeen fired the ball of water from her mouth at the Electrabuzz's chest, aiming to wind it long enough that she could perform a follow up attack on the Electric Type. ::goldeen:: Goldeen used Water Pulse. Quil let out an inaudible sigh as he watched his Electabuzz get pummeled with a Water Pulse. The trainer was frustrated at the fact that he wasn't able to do anything, while his Pokémon stared unfocused at the clear water surrounded him.
Z looked around confused, how had so much water gotten on him. His head was throbbing and he felt felt like he was going to possibly fall over, but it was a moment of clarity, the moment he needed to stand and hopefully make an successful attack.
As Z looked at his trainer, he received a relieved nod. Quil had just been ready to pull out another pokemon, it had been too painful watching his Electabuzz get pummeled, especially after such a strong start.
"Thunderbolt at the Goldeen." he ordered.
Z obeyed and shot a bolt of golden energy at the pokemon, hovering in the water, preparing to counter attack. It was super effective, so Quil knew it wouldn't be too long until it was knocked out hopefully. Even if the Goldeen managed to dodge the attack directly, the bolt would still come into contact with the lake, giving her a shock nonetheless.

::goldeen:: Pokemon battle ! Goldeen's calm face exuded panic for a brief moment at the sight of sparks erupting from her foe, knowing what attack he was going to repeat next. Well, she couldn't let herself be troubled. Instead, she would calmly think about her next movement. Looking around, she spied a rock jutting out of the water. Swiftly, before she could think any more, she swam over to the stone just before Electabuzz fired the bolt into the water behind her tail.
Luckily for her, she got to the safe surface of the rock, and through this she managed to avoid the worst of the zap. Her fins, however, became a tad more worn from stray bolts. Once the water calmed down again, the Goldeen swished her way towards Electabuzz again and fired off another Water Pulse at him.

[[ hi draagon!!! ^-^ ]]
At the sight of the Goldeen leaping upon the nearby rock, Quil was irritated. That attack should have have been powerful. The counter attack, was another Water Pulse that made the electric type, stumble back with the continous force of it. Drenched and in pain, the pokemon looked up with anger towards the pesky water type. His focus was clear again, and he only had the remains of a throbbing headache to prove that he had been confused. He was ready to go, and Leered at the Goldeen to lower her defense.
Quil had another plan in mind, besides attacking again and grabbed another pokeball, pressing the button to reveal his Aerodactyl. She wouldn't get involved in the battle, but Quil wanted a small problem to be taken care of.
"Mater. Wing Attack to smash all the rocks. Z, Thunderbolt again."
Mater located the rock that the Goldeen had just been perched on and focuses his attack towards it, his strong wings would hopefully smash the rock into smithereens. Meanwhile, Z powered up another crackling bolt of electricity and sent it flashing towards the Goldeen.

Oh, goodness. There went her method of avoiding lightning attacks. At least she was fortuitous enough to have left the boulder’s protection before the large flying-type’s attacks smashed them apart. And, indeed, the Aerodactyl’s attacks were doing their job. The stones were large, but the wing attack was strong enough to break them up enough to remove any chance of the Goldeen escaping future attacks.
An entirely unsavory flavor filling her mouth, she turned her attention to the Electabuzz all too late. Already stunned a bit by Z’s glares, she was unable to even try to avoid the next Thunderbolt attack. She was down in almost a heartbeat, completely drained of all energy from the quick succession of electrical surges that had rushed through her body.
Before her brain shut down into unconsciousness, she wondered vaguely if her Bidoof love interest would find her before a predator would. And then, her mind was blank and she floated limply along the surface of the water.
Has fainted. Z gains a level. Has fainted.

Quil nodded, pleased with the outcome. That had been a fairly swift battle, and he felt like the rest of the way would be fairly easy too if he continued to encounter water-type pokemon. Considering they were on a bridge, surrounded by water, it seemed like water-types would be dominant in Route Two. The Goldeen floated limply in the water, and Quil paused for a moment. Was it worth it to catch her? He wanted nothing to do with it, but you could never have too many pokemon. Who knows when it would come in handy?
"Mater, grab the Goldeen out of the water." he commanded, he didn't want to lose the pokeball in the depths. Once this was successful, Quil touched the pokeball to the Goldeen hanging limply in the flying pokemon's talons.
Quil patted the Electabuzz's head, and waited to see the outcome of the orb.

The pokeball sucked the fainted Goldeen into it's confines with a beam of red light. The sphere shook in Quil's hand, almost as if the pokemon inside someone found the will to fight again. It would be several more shakes later before the ball stopped and the button glowed a soft ember red.
The Goldeen was caught, no longer wild and free, no longer roaming the waterways for secret meetings with her Bidoof lover. How sad. ::Goldeen:: Goldeen|17| Peck, Tail Whip, Water Sport, Supersonic, Water Pulse, Horn Attack
Farther down stream, having heard the battle and see the strikes of lightning, came a male Bidoof. It had larger than normal front teeth but that could be overlooked... Kinda.
Looking at Quil and his pokemon with a raised brow the beaver like pokemon dared to step forward if only to ask a question. <You haven't by chance seen a female Goldeen... Have you?> Hopefully they'd point him in the right direction to his mistress and he'd be off. ::Bidoof:: Bidoof|

Quil plucked up the pokeball, and shoved it into his pocket with distaste. He was about to walk away, when he heard a pokemon behind him. He turns to see a Bidoof talking to the group, and gives the pokemon a raised brow. Really? This.. thing wanted to talk to him?
Z, the electabuzz, looked down at the normal type and growled, enjoying the reaction of the pokemon. < Yeah, I have, but you won't be seeing her anymore. I knocked her out and now we have her. Sucks to be you weakling.> he retorted. <What are you going to do about it?>

The Bidoof was stopped, frozen in place by the look the electric pokemon gave him. He... He had Goldeen? That... That was impossible! Goldeen was his! Gulping down the lump in his throat the "weakling" as he was so called he rolled into a ball, up-ing his defense before rolling forward at a rather fast speed in a roll out. He'd fight to save his darling Goldeen! ::Bidoof:: Bidoof| Used defense curl and roll out on Z.

[[Don't even worry about it. My muse is not inspired right now either. ]]
The Electrabuzz snarled, and grinned in pleasure as the Bidoof seemed to be frozen in place, the words he had snapped were now sinking into the thick head of the Pokémon. Suddendly the attitude of the Pokémon seemed to change, and the electric type knew an attack was coming. He tensed and prepared himself and at the sign of the Defense Curl, he leaped into the air, only to realize that it wasn't an actualy attack.
A pit grew in his stomach as he saw the roll out attack coming straight for him and he was still trapped mid-air, falling to the ground at the same time the attack was coming at him. He would have no time to react. As the Electrabuzz touched the ground, he was swiftly knocked off his feet again by the roll out. With an exasperated grunt, he stood and Leered at the Pokémon again.
Quil watched the proceeds with interest. Guess they had a new opponent. "Z. Thundershock." he ordered.
The Electrabuzz began to gather up electricity, and while he was doing so, growled, <You're going to be sorry you did that. You'll lose and you'll stay here all by yourself.> The crackling electricity was sent at the Bidoof.

The glare of the Electrabuzz intimidated Bidoof, and thanks to his ability, Simple, his Defense was reduced to its normal level once again. Only now he couldn't bolster it up again thanks to Rollout. As he rolled towards the Electrabuzz again, his furry body was singed by the incoming electric attack. He winced in pain, closing his eyes and soldiering on as a powerful rolling ball of Bidoofic awesomeness. He would save his darling Goldeen or die trying! He didn't want to live in a world without his darling Goldeen in it. ::bidoof:: Defense reverts to normal thanks to Simple Bidoof used Rollout.

The Bidoof wasn't the only one with an ability, the Electabuzz had one too. Static each time the Bidoof touched him, he had a 30% chance of getting paralyzed. Quil hoped it would happen soon, it would make for an easy level and an easy battle.
"Dodge." Quil snapped, quickly, hoping that the electric type would leap out of the way in time. The electabuzz was powerful, but not the swiftest pokemon, so the Rollout that powered through his attack, hit him with a powerful punch. Z slid backwards with the force of the attack, and through his deep breaths, winced in pain. He was tired from the battle before.
"Thunderbolt now." he commanded once again.
The Electabuzz once again summoned a voltage of electricity to him, stronger than the attack before and shot it out at the Bidoof once again, with a great speed, hoping to get the Pokémon just as he prepared to attack again.

What a bonanza of misfortune this was! All his debonair courting of his beautiful Goldeen was going to waste! They were going to... hallow their love before long, and if he kept losing, that was never going to happen! It seemed heuristic that he was going to lose. He was only thankful that he wasn't a water type, or there would be no mithridate for this losing situation. The electric shock ran over his body, making him cry out in pain as he stumbled back, wiry fur standing up on end. But his Rollout was getting more powerful. He would win soon eno- What was this? His body... was rooted to the ground. He could feel the static shock that was the Electrabuzz's energy washing over him. He... couldn't move! With no way to retaliate against the next attack, his eyes wide with fear as his breathing became frantic and wheezy, he could do nothing but watch. ::bidoof:: Bidoof is fully paralyzed.

Quil watched as the bolt of crackling electricity stabbed into the Bidoof, nodding in pleasure. He also tilted his head in mild confusion when the pokemon remained frozen, not attacking the Electabuzz with another more powerful Roll-out like he expected. He noticed small sparks of static cracking from the pokemons fur and raised his eyebrows.
Oh. The Bidoof was paralyzed. Interesting. Well, on with the battle. It should be pretty easy from now on. "Z, keep attacking the Bidoof with Thunderbolt until it passes out or becomes un-paralyzed!" he ordered.
The Electabuzz gave a sharp nod, and allowed a mighty roar to enamiate from his mouth, before lauching a Thunderbolt, at the pokemon. He would continue doing this until the Bidoof arose. How many turns that was, he had no idea, whether the Bidoof became unparalyzed after this attack or after the next twelve was all up to chance.

The bidoof was struck almost dead by the thundershock. The charges ran through his body like water, and he jirated around like sort of rave dancer! However, he had to win! For his mistress! After missing, he could use another move now. He curled himself up, prompting his defense up twice as much thanks to Simple. He then began to rush Z, Rollout's power boosted doubly thanks to Defense Curl.
