The Shallow Know Themselves
Because of her personality you'd think that Blythe would be a rather nondescript little girl, however she tends to stand out a lot more than you'd think she would. First of all, she had the strangest mix of hair colors: though it looks more platinum blonde, it can also look a grayish blue color depending on the lighting. However, the true color of her hair is that white of platinum blonde . It's not a color you see very often, and it occasionally draws the eye. She wears her hair short, about shoulder length, and naturally it stays pretty straight. However, it can tend to stick up at odd angles on some occasions.
The curtains don't really match the windows in this case: compared to her white (or rather, colorless) hair, her eyes are a deep, striking blue. They tend to be filled with either indifference or just straight up annoyance and hate, brow furrowed into a scowl. . . . She definitely never really looks "happy."
Body-wise, Blythe is. . . a little on the short side. Or rather, a lot on the short side. She stands at a whopping five feet tall and weighs just a little under one hundred pounds. It's sometimes hard to believe that such a small package could hold such a large amount of anti-social behaivor and dislike for the majority of the population. . . . Her skin is kinda pale from the lack of being outside (in fact she looks a bit like a ghost with her white hair and pale skin) but that'll probably change on her journey.
Clothes-wise, she's actually pretty simple. A short dress that comes to just above her knees with sleeves longer than her arms, thigh-high stalkings, simple, comfortable loafers, and little to no accessories. Most of her outfits are all blue and white in color, though she does have a few others that are different, muted colors. It all just completes her ghostly appearance. She carries a messenger bag around with her, but it despite what it looks like, it can hold quite a bit.

Seriousness is the only refuge
Blythe could be called "reserved" if you're feeling generous. She doesn't talk much – if at all – and can easily come off as introverted and kind of cold. Blythe tends to respond to people, though, if they initiate some sort of contact. She is all about the reaction, not the action. Meaning, if you ever wanted to talk to her, you might as well come up and talk to her first because it’s not going to happen if you’re waiting for her to show up and strike up a conversation. Blythe sees conversations as uninteresting and pointless, but she normally responds to keep people from getting angry and to avoid confrontation.
Distant and perhaps a little oblivious is another good way to describe the way she acts. Sometimes she’ll just stare at one spot seemingly forever, her thoughts an enigma to everyone else around her. However, the things she think about tend to be either nothing – she’s just staring at the wall and appreciating the way it had been painted so evenly – or she’ll just be thinking about whatever people are talking about around her. She reacts to people in her mind, but she rarely ever speaks her thoughts out loud unless she is being spoken to.
The girl hardly ever gets any references to society, culture, or even just jokes that people are telling her. She is completely literal, so sarcasm fails on her – or normally just upsets her even though most of the time people don’t even mean what they say. She’s not the most observant person in the world, either. If you distract her while she’s walking, she’ll run into walls or trip over something – normally just air – and ends up hurting herself. She doesn’t really respond to pain like most people do, though. She feels it, she just doesn’t react by crying, wincing, or even really acknowledging it.
Blythe harbors a deep anger and is prone to semi-violent outbursts if you don’t get the hint and leave her alone sooner rather than later. Though she hides it and tolerates people, Blythe tends to avoid them the best she can. Going out and seeing the world had been her parents’ idea to get her to open up, but it doesn’t seem to be working. She doesn’t want to get along with people, she doesn’t want to make friends, she just wants to be left alone and if you irritate her enough, she will have very unkind things to say to you, and she might even shove you. Of course, she's not exactly the strongest person in the world and so more often that not her anger becomes akin to a furious kitten. She's just as cold and uncaring toward Pokemon, too.
A sure-fire way to piss her off, however, is to touch her without her consent or out of the blue. Blythe absolutely hates being touched and she will often strike anyone who touches her, regardless of who they are and how well she knows them, or even how much older they are than her. It could be a stranger, a friend, and adult, or even a small child. . . . It’s an instinct she’s always had and she will simply just hit you if you touch her for any reason – to get her attention, to lead her somewhere else, maybe even to hit her back – and she won’t feel sorry for it.

Shallow Loves Live On
Blythe was given up at birth by her biological parents. Both had been teens when her mom had gotten pregnant, and neither of them were willing to give up their lives quite yet, so they gave their daughter up for adoption. They were opted for an open adoption, but both parents decided that it would be better off for their nameless baby if she didn't know anything other than her adoptive parents. It would be easier on her, and it would be easier on them. They swore up and down that they'd never want to meet their daughter, and so far they've held true to that.
Blythe was born a little earlier than expected on March 3rd in the early morning hours around five seventeen, as it says on her birth certificate. The birth had definitely not changed either of the parent's minds about giving her up, and the two would most likely be a lot safer from that moment on when it came to baby-making actions.
Savannah and Peyton already had two daughters, and though they wanted a third child, things weren't going so well for them. Blythe's parents hand-picked this couple out of a catalog of others because of the fact that they had raised two daughters of their own already and they wanted an experienced couple. The pair was extremely happy, and when they saw their new addition to the family, they named her Blythe.
They loved her like she was their own, and Lennox and Elette accepted their new sister with no problems. However, she was terribly coddled growing up. Blythe grew up sickly and weak, so her new parents didn't have the heart to tell her she was adopted, and they practically held her in the house all the time for fear of her life ending miserably. She was always getting hurt when she was younger, and it made her parents keep her around and always in their sights, even though the other two siblings were allowed to do whatever they wanted.
After a couple years, what they had been trying to accomplish finally happened: The Lockhearts were pregnant again. This time they brought a little baby boy into the world. Despite Blythe being practically held hostage in her home, she seemed to be happy enough with her family. Sometimes, though, it was so hard to tell that her parents weren't really sure.
Doctors decided that what Blythe needed to help build her health back up was to get some exercise. When she was seven, she was enrolled in some gymnastic classes, ans she really took off. It was exactly as she needed: the way her parents had been coddling her had been worsening her condition. Getting outside and doing stuff made her health improve and her body got stronger. The fresh air and sunlight was really good for her, and she was no longer moping around at home, wishing she could be out.
Not that she ever actually did.
However, now that she was allowed out with the rest of the boys and girls, she was constantly teased for being so small compared to everyone else. Even though Blythe was just as good as the other girls in her classes, she was always teased and left out of doing group activities outside of the practices. She stayed with the gymnastics, as she really loved it, but she stopped trying to reach out to people.
When she turned eleven, her parents had really started to get worried about her introverted nature, unaware that the reason for her worsened social condition was because she overheard her parents talking to each other about whether or not to tell her she was adopted. This sent her into mini-spiral that she kept inside, wondering why her parents had ditched her, and if that explained why she felt so strange around the other siblings sometimes. They were nothing like her.
Finally her parents decided to convince her to take a Pokemon journey. They thought getting her involved in something very social would be good for her, so they practically forced her to start. Blythe's doctor agreed that it was a good idea for her to get involved with Pokemon, seeing how it was a rather social endeavor. Blythe didn't contend, glad to just get away from the family for a little bit.
