It was her first time being in Verona and what better way to spend her brief time here by visiting the Park. It was everything she had heard of plus some. Even though the area was empty of wild pokemon, it still held the beauty that only nature could possess. She couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by it.
"He's got to see this," Audrey said, referencing her Spiritomb. She reached to grab his pokeball but paused mid way. "I better not," she muttered under her breath. There was always the possibility of running into someone who had a strong fear of ghosts and the sight of Spiritomb could possibly send them into a state of pure panic. Of course, that was the worst case scenario but still possible.
"That's right," she thought. Audrey nearly forgot about the stray pokeball she picked up from that equipment malfunction in that trading room. She never got around to actually seeing what it contained and left it tucked away in her bag. She took of her bag and set it on a nearby bench. After rummaging around for a few moments, she managed to dig out the pokeball.
She tossed it in front of her to stimulate it to open and release its contents. To her surprise, it was occupied and by a pokemon she was familiar with. "A male nidoran," she said almost somberly. The little purple pokemon looked around the park surrounding it, nearly oblivious to Audrey who seemed a little standoffish. Although she may have seemed unhappy in her new pokemon, she was the complete opposite. It reminded her of her childhood years having been spent around her mother's Nidoqueen who watched over her and her brother.
It made her feel homesick and made her long to see her sitters again, both Nidoqueen and Venomoth. She thought of how ironic it would have been if it was a female nidoran instead of a male. She wanted to reach out and pet the pokemon but couldn't bring herself to do it. Audrey quickly returned the nidoran to its ball before it knew what happened and took a seat on the bench beside her bag. She kept the pokeball in her hand, turning it occasionally and lightly stroking its sides with her thumb. She breathed in deeply to help her regain her composure. She wasn't one for expressing her feelings opening such as crying and yelling, but after having those fond childhood memories flood back to her, she wasn't sure if she could hold it in any longer.

::Bulbasaur:: Her moment of gloom and worry was interrupted by a loud and obnoxious Bulbasaur. >AHA! A POISON POKEMON!< It roared, though Audrey would just hear 'BULBA BULBA BULBASAAAUR!'. The little rugged creature stopped in front of her and glared at her. >Now where'd it go?!< He looked around. He could have sworn he'd seen a Nidoran here. >Where'd you hide it, you foolish girl?< He said, thumbing his head against her leg.
And then, a man came running after Bulbasaur. He looked in his mid-thirties, with dark clothing and a light brown skin. Readjusting thick rimmed glasses on his nose, he stopped in front of Audrey. "I'm sorry, I hope he hasn't caused you any trouble? He's rather obsessed with Poison type pokemon. Actually, I am too, so it's my fault..." He admitted with a shy smile.

She looked up just in time to see a Bulbasaur standing in front of her. He seemed confused for some reason. Was he looking for something? Did he get separated from his trainer? She had no idea what its deal was with her but as it started bumping his head against her leg, she decided she had better move on figuring she was just in its favorite spot in the park.
Just as she started to reach for her bag, Audrey caught sight of someone running towards her. Confused almost to the point where she couldn't gather her thoughts, she gave a brief laugh. "Oh, he is yours?" she asked him. "For a second, I thought I was going to have to help him find his trainer." She stood up, moving out of the Bulbasaur's way, and went to place the nidoran's ball back in her bag. "Poison type? I've never heard of a pokemon sharing an obsession with their owner," she said. "Perhaps he spotted my nidoran. I just had him out, but not for long."

::Bulbasaur:: Bulbasaur was content with going on cussing and insulting everyone and everything in sight. What a ridiculous park. And Leon was so slow. Oh, he was feeling happy with himself being moody. "Whoever said Bulbasaur were gentle creatures must have not met this specimen. He's a disaster." Leon sighed. Bulbasaur turned around and glared at him. "A Nidoran you say? A male one?" His eyes lighted up behind his glasses. "Could I see him?" He inquired merrily. He waited a moment before adding "You see, I have a Nidoran too. A female one." He took a pokeball from his belt and brought forth the Pokémon it held. She appeared from the pokeball, gently blinking and looking around, fascinated by the park around her. >Oh hello there.< She told Bulbasaur friendly. >Fat.< He grumbled at her.

"At least it makes him stand out from the rest, even if it's not in the best of ways," she replied. Audrey wished she would have known what the Bulbasaur was saying, but she found it hard to decipher what was being said by pokemon other than her own. She was left with taking wild guesses which were far from correct most of the time. "Oh, yeah," she said as she released him again. "Actually, I really didn't know I had him until just a few seconds ago." The male nidoran looked more confused than ever now though he had a good reason to be. He had no idea where he was, who these people were, and why they couldn't decided on whether to keep in him the pokeball or let him out. ::nidoranm::
"A female..." she said. Even though her mother's Nidoqueen was already evolved by the time she was born, Audrey couldn't help but feel like she held a bond with the female nidoran. Of course, she would probably feel this way with any female nidoran she came across. She bent over and placed her hands on her knees. "Did you give her a nickname yet?" she asked him. Just seeing the little pokemon brought her back to fighting back tears, though she did her best to hide her homesick feelings.

The Nidoran smiled friendly at the male Nidoran. It was clear she was a sweet, motherly type. Gentle eyes and a relaxed nature. Perhaps not to easiest to train in fighting, but surely she would one day be a great mother. Leon shook his head. "No...I have examined her and did my research." He didn't seem very enthusiastic about this Nidoran of his. He lowered down to the male Nidoran and made a sketch of him and his horn. His spirits lighted up instantly. "Oh wow, his poisonous horn is so much bigger...the poison much more potent." He muttered. Bulbasaur stood beside his owner and joined loudmouthed. >Yes yes. And did I tell you /I/ was the one who found him?<Leon looked up at the girl, who looked a little uneasy. Oh dear, was it his presence? Something he had done or said? He glared at Bulbasaur a moment. He had that effect on people. "It's my Nidoran, isn't it?" He offered. "If you want, maybe we can trade? I know I'd like a male better...much more potent poison..." He added, ending in a mutter.

"I see," Audrey replied. Even though she wasn't one for nicknaming pokemon, she found it amusing to hear the different names people came up with. "So, are you like a pokemon researcher? Or is that just a hobby of yours?" she asked. She backed off a little from her nidoran as the guy began to sketch the pokemon. Much like she occasionally tried to make dolls mimicking pokemon she encountered, it seemed like he chose to draw pokemon.
"Trade?" she repeated in an questioning manner. She thought people only traded their pokemon to their trusted friends or collegues, not to total strangers. Although, she was completely up for taking the female. She didn't have a bond with her male and the female immediately won her over. How could she possibly pass up this oppotunity? "You know, I think the male would fit you perfectly," she said while handing him the nidoran's pokeball.
Audrey gave Leon : ::nidoranm:: Level : 7 Gender : Male Ability : Poison Point, Rivalry Attacks : Leer, Peck, Focus Energy, Facade Personality : Nidoran is much like Spiritomb in the sense that he is relaxed. He is considered the babysitter of the group, seeing that his patience is hard to break down. Although, he can be lazy at times making it hard to actually put your trust into him during fights. go ahead and change this if you want

Leon adjusted his glasses and looked modest. "No, not as such. I'm a professor in Poison and Pollution." He explained. "All manner of such things. Recently, I've decided to start a field study on Poison type Pokémon." He explained. "Oh, the name is Leon by the way." He said, holding out his hand to shake hers. He seemed a bit old to be doing a Pokémon journey. He had to be at least thirty. And he indeed seemed to be the laboratory type more than a field expert. And then, as Audrey gave Leon the male Nidoran's pokeball, he returned her the female's ball. "Thats a fine transaction!" He decided. Leon gave Audrey: Level: 7 Gender: Female Abilities: Poison Point, Rivalry Attacks: Growl, Scratch, Tail Whip, Shadow Claw Personality: Lax. Very motherly and sweet. She can be over-caring and fusses over everyones well being. Can be defending when confronted with people trying to harm her 'darlings'. (Feel free to change) [[Leon and Audrey made a successful trade!]]

"And I'm Audrey," she replied, shaking his hand in return. "I hear that poison pokemon are great to train, or so my parents say. They weren't specifically poison type trainers, but their most trusted pokemon were." She didn't think twice about her decision to give away her nidoran. Although she couldn't help but feel a bit apprehensive as he took the ball from her. What if he ran off leaving her empty handed? Sure, she was thinking of the worst possible scenario but she didn't know a thing about this guy so she had a reason for her doubts in his trustworthiness.
However, her initial fear soon evaporated as she found herself cupping the female's ball. Was she really in possession of one of the pokemon, or at least pre-evolutions of one, who found their way into her fondest memories? "Maybe if we ever run into each other again, we can show each other how far we came with our new pokemon," she said.
