Zane had been in the library for a while on one of their computers. He was looking up some of the myths and legends of Cheyenne, some were very interesting to read. He got off and headed to the books. Hermes happily followed his Trainer and jumped on one of the tables. <So, Boss, what's our next move, eh? Battle a few weaklings?> Zane rolled his eyes at the Zigzagoon. Although he was a quiet person he did like to relax and get out sometimes. "Shut it, Hermes." He said, and walked down one of the rooms full of books. Hermes scowled and followed him down, wondering why he was even out of his Pokeball.

The library. The only place she could use the computer anymore. Her cell phone didn't get the internet. It was a shame being a pokemon trainer meant forfeiting many gadgets and the comfort of your own home sometimes, but it was worth it in the long run. Besides, now she had company.
<So, what are we doing here anyway?> The girl looked down at the questioning look on her quilava's face. She didn't really understand what he said, but she could get the jist of it. "Computer, George. Computer." He nodded. He'd known her for long enough to know that she couldn't go very long without access to the internet. So the pair of them made their way to the computer desk. "You go explore, George. I'll find you when I need to." He nodded again, then ran off.
On his way into one of the next rooms over, he passed by a familiar looking trainer and Zigzagoon. <Don't I know you?> He asked, turning around. |

Zane was taking another book off the shelf when he heard a voice. He looked down at the fire Pokemon and thought for a second He knew that Pokemon from somewhere.
Hermes nodded and walked up. <Hey, I know you! We met in the park one day! Err, Lyra was it?> he asked. Zane looked around to see if anyone else was around, the Pokemon, he was sure he saw it somewhere before.

George nodded. <Well, my trainer's name is Lyra. I'm George. Ummm... I don't think I know your name.> He tilted his head to one side. <Um, um, um... Your name is... is... Hermes!> He remembered suddenly, grinning. <I remember now! And your trainer is...>
"Zane?" came a voice from the doorway. Lyra was leaning against the frame, looking down at her Pokemon. "Good find there, George." She grinned as well. She had gotten up from the computer to remind George not to let anyone get on his nerves, because the flames on his back could ignite at any time and burn the whole library down. "Long time no see. Well, not really." |

Hermes snickered and nodded. <Ya huh, king of theives! Who else than me, Hermes.> He sat on his hind legs and placed his paw on his chest. <That's me, the one and only Hermes.> Hermes' ego was starting to go overboard a bit, even Zane could tell this. Well, anyone could. Just because of his name he thought he was all that.
Zane chuckled at Hermes' reaction. He bent down and lightly poked his Zigzagoon, making him fall over to the side. "Work on your balance more, king of theives." He joked. Zane stood up again and faced Lyra. He thought for a moment, almost forgetting who she was. Lyra was the girl he had met in the park not too long ago. "Hello, Lyra." He said.

The girl subconsciously pulled her shirt up a bit, smiling as the Zigzagoon fell. "I see not much has changed," she said. "I'm surprised that Pokemon isn't floating up to the ceiling, he's so full of hot air." A passing attendant noticed the trainers, and requested she put her fire-type back in its ball. She frowned, but obliged, pulling George back in. Jeez, he wasn't going to burn the place down. Without a Pokemon at her side, she felt awkward and alone.
As if sensing her discomfort, one of her Pokeballs began to shake. "Uh-" She started to say, but it burst open before she could continue. A young Riolu shook his head as if awakening from a deep slumber. Lyra looked away. "Well anyway, before I was interrupted, I was going to show you something." She rooted around in her pockets for a moment, then came out with a tiny disc. "See this? It's a Thunderbolt TM. I was going to buy a Pikachu from the Pidgey Express before they went out of business and such, but they were all out. They sent me the disc anyway." She scowled. "Zigzagoon can learn Thunderbolt, or you can save it for later. I don't want it." |

Zane took the small disk out of Lyra's hand. "I'm sure Hermes would love to learn this." He said, almost dreading what he would do once he did learn it.
Hermes watched as a new Pokemon come out, a Riolu. He got back on his feet and shook his head. <Hello, bub. And what's your name?> He asked with a wide smirk.
Zane shook his head at the Zigzagoon. When would he ever learn? However, it balanced Zane to have someone joking and easy going with him. He glanced at Lyra and nodded. "Thanks for the TM, we'll put it to good use." He said, hoping the good use was not shocking people by 'mistake'.

ooc; i feel like this is short so excuse me :I outfit
<U-uh... My name is Max... Max Fightmaster...> The Riolu mumbled, slightly disturbed by the other Pokemon's expression. He was a naturally timid creature out of battle, and even in battle he tended to let others make his decisions for him. Max would be right at home with glasses perched on his nose.
"Alright, that was my good deed for the day." The girl grinned, turning around and putting her hands on her hips. "Now if I kick a puppy later, I don't have to feel bad." She turned back around, relaxing into her previous stance. "So how ya been, then? Seen any cool Pokemon?" |

Hermes snickered. <Max? Max Fightmaster??!> He rolled down on the ground laughing his guts out. <Oh oh oh, that's gold!> he said through his laughter. His cries echoed through the library and made a loud annoying sound.
Zane flinched at his Zigzagoon laughing and rolling on the floor. He quickly grabbed Hermes' Pokeball and returned the loud annoying Pokémon to his ball. He snarled quietly as he placed Hermes away. Cursing him quietly under his breath he regained his cool and almost missed Lyra's question. "Hmm? Oh, cool Pokémon?" he swapped Hermes' Pokeball with another and released the Pokémon inside.
Stood beside Zane's leg a Skorupi stood there. His stingers staying put as his back one swung slowly back and forth. Sashi looked up at Zane and then at Lyra. He titled his head slightly as he wasn't released anytime before this. "Sashi, I don't quite remember how I got him though. However, the Skorupi has been a good teammate." Zane replied. Sashi looked up at Zane and then at Max. He nodded his head and stayed put. The quiet type really, like his master. However, Zane seemed to be in a happy mood today.

The Zigzagoon was pulled back into his ball as he began rudely laughing at the Riolu's name. Blood rose to Max's cheeks, and his blush showed ever so slightly through his fur. He looked away, pretending not to be bothered. His trainer blinked. "Well that was... uh... special." She could only begin to imagine what Max had said to cause such a fit of laughter.
"Sashi, I don't quite remember how I got him though. However, the Skorupi has been a good teammate." Now he was talking about the Skorupi that replaced Hermes. The girl smiled down at the Pokemon. "Oh, that is cool! I'm kind of jealous. Although, maybe I shouldn't be, seeing all the Pokemon I have myself." She shrugged casually. It was a normal thing for her to be surrounded by rare Pokemon these days. She was used to it. "Well, I don't really have any new ones, other than Max down there. He was in my PC box the night I met you." Speaking of Pokemon, Max had turned to look back at the Skorupi.
<Erm... H-hello.> He timidly extended a paw. <Name's... Max.> |

Zane sighed. "I'm sorry about that. Hermes can be...well, himself I guess you'd say." He said, rubbing the back of his neck. Hermes could be so stupid at times, though he does make a great teammate Zane gets angry with him time to time. Zane however, wasn't normally acted like that. He only does that because he doesn't know anyone, he was always alone in things. He never knew anyone that good before, maybe if he did his personality would lighten up a bit. Sashi nodded and smiled. <Hello, Max. I am Sashi.> He said in a nice manner. He bowed his head a bit before walking over. He looked around. Books were all around him, how nice. He took one off the shelf and dropped it on the ground. He opened it and looked through it. It was a book of myths for Cheyenne, he was sure into it.

ALLEGRO, AGITATE THERE'S A RINGING IN MY EARS, PLEASE DON'T LET IT STOP;; ooc; outfit "I'm sorry about that. Hermes can be...well, himself I guess you'd say." The girl shrugged. "Nothing wrong with that. It's more than some people can say." After imparting that wisdom, she looked down at the Skorupi and her young Riolu. "So, any reason in particular you're here? Super top secret research? Or just watching out for cute nerd girls?" She raised an eyebrow, clearly joking.
Max followed Sashi, interested in what he was looking at. <Oh, I know that one! It's about that pack of Absol, isn't it?> He asked, intrigued. |

Sashi nodded. <It certainly is. The myths here are interesting to read. The pack of Absol are a very lone group it appears.> He said. He turned the page, showing the mountains and a Absol watching over the land. <Absol are lone Pokemon, are they not? Why would they live in a pack? A mystery surrounds this.> he said. Zane shoved the comment of 'looking for cute girls' off before shaking his head. "No, just here to learn about the myths of Cheyenne. Sashi here appears to like that stuff." he said. He wasn't sure if Lyra was joking or not, she was rather cute..Zane shook himself out of it quietly. He wasn't like that anyways. He looked down at Sashi instead to change the subject if he could. Sashi appeared to be the type who enjoys research but can also be a rough type if angered. It was a different personality compared to his other Pokemon.

WHAT COULD THIS BE? DRIPPING FROM MY CUT FINGER;; IS THIS WHAT WE REALLY HOPED FOR? ooc; outfit "No, just here to learn about the myths of Cheyenne. Sashi here appears to like that stuff." "Ah. That's... different. None of my Pokemon have really expressed an interest in that sort of thi-" She looked down, seeing movement out of the corner of her eye. Max was reading over Sashi's shoulder, clearly conversing with him. "Well, I stand corrected." She said softly, almost apologetically. The Riolu had always been the quiet type. He had shied away from her when she first got him, but he gradually warmed up to the other members of their team. To see him get along with another so quickly was very nearly shocking.
<Absol are lone Pokemon, are they not? Why would they live in a pack? A mystery surrounds this.> Max shrugged.<Maybe a long time ago something in that area drove them together.> It was just a suggestion, but it didn't seem too unlikely. <They lived in the mountains, didn't they?> |

Sashi nodded. <Yes, it appears so. Though, its quite the mystery. Why would Absol live in the mountains and in a group, it seems unlikely of that type.> he said, turning the page to find a picture of Absol on the mountain, watching over the land below. This stuff interested Sashi, his Serious nature shined brightly through his love for books and such. Zane found this helpful, Sashi also appeared to know quite a lot about Pokemon. He was like his personal Pokedex. But, as long as Zane could still use him in battle he really didn’t care about that other stuff.
Zane’s expressions softened a bit at the sight of Sashi getting along with another Pokemon. Though he seemed like cold heartless person he actually really loved his Pokemon. He just wasn’t sure how to ever express it. He never really knew what it was to ‘like’ or ‘love’ something, let alone a Pokemon. He thought maybe coming to Cheyenne would help him get used to that.

SHE CALLS ME FROM THE COLD;; JUST WHEN I WAS LOW, FEELING SHORT OF STABLE;; ooc; outfit The Riolu suddenly hopped up and down excitedly. <I know! I know!> He calmed down a bit before continuing, but flapped his arms around in a wild gesture. <We could... go explore there! That'd be so cool!> Despite being smart, Max could be a little... excitable and childish.
At her Pokemon's sudden frenzy, Lyra looked down. He began frantically signaling her, only stopping when he saw she was looking. Then he pointed at the picture of the mountain range on the page, and gave her a grin and a thumbs up. "I don't know, Max." She folded her arms. "Maybe, maybe not." He gave her a pleading look. |

Zane shrugged and shifted his feet. Either it was just him or it was becoming a tad bit awkward in here. Sashi didn’t take any notice and continued his chat with Max. <It would be nice to check out the mountains just to see where this so called pack of Absol lived.> Of course, though Sashi had been with Zane only for a few weeks he knew that he would refuse to even go somewhere like that. Then again, when it came to research, Sashi didn’t give up so easily. Closing the book that he had Sashi placed it on his back, intending to have Zane check it out for him so he could look at it some more. Then, going up to Zane’s feet he tugged on his leg.
Looking down at Sashi Zane tilted his head a bit. “What is it, Sashi?” He asked the Skorupi. <May we take a trip to the mountains?> He asked. Thinking for a moment, Zane wondered what was in the mountains. Sashi gave the book on his back to Zane, picking it up he flipped to the part that Sashi was looking at. Showing the mountains and Absol. Closing the book and holding onto it Zane closed his eyes and thought. It could be something to do, Sashi appeared to want it more than anything. Opening his eyes he nodded. "Fine, we'll go up there later." He said.

'CAUSE IF THE LORD IS GONNA FIND ME HE BETTER START LOOKING TODAY ooc; we can finish this up now of course outfit At Zane's agreement to go, Max became ecstatic. He began jumping up and down even more, flapping his arms eccentrically, making little squawking noises to get Lyra's attention. She put her hands on her hips. "Don't give yourself an asthma attack," she snarked. He began climbing her pantsleg, and she took a step back. He scaled her torso and ended up on her shoulder, poking her cheek. She grabbed his paw. "Okay, okay! I was going to say yes anyway," the girl grumped.
"Hey Zane, it looks like Max wants us to tag along then." The Riolu beamed at the darker-haired trainer. |
