Silva bowed politely to Kenna. His movement betrayed an agile and flexible body. He knew this would be his first battle with Slowpoke too...but he wasn't too worried. He knew Slowpokes followed their Own Tempo, so nothing he could do would distract him.
So, the moment Kenna spurred on her Pokémon to attack, Silva set the flute to his lips and brought forth a deep, charming melody. Buizel's tails perked and he leaped forward. >Oh joy, a dance!< He cried out, using his agility to speed forward and dash at Surskit with a Quick Attack! [[Buizel used Quick Attack! (Move can be used before the enemies!)]]
Though the moment Buizel fell back to the ground, the bubbles hit him, tossing him backwards. His skin gleamed with the water, and all in all, it was not very effective. [[Buizel was hit by bubble! It was not very effective!]]
And indeed, Slowpoke was all content on following his Own Tempo, moving in his own speed. He was at all unimpressed by the music, the battle, or the Meowth dashing at him, and took his time to Yawn at the opponent racing towards him. [[Slowpoke has Own Tempo. It cannot become confused!]] [[Slowpoke used Yawn on Meowth! If successful, Meowth will fall asleep on the next turn (after attacks, I believe?)]]
But then the Meowth's fangs sunk into him. At first, there was no reaction what so ever. A while passed. Then he groaned with a furrowed brow as the pain hit it's brains. He lazily tried to swat the Meowth away with a swing of his tail. [[Slowpoke used Tackle (with his tail, rather than body)]]
And all the while, Silva kept playing his flute, keeping up a steady rhythm that Buizel used to jump around at, trying to keep his opponent distracted.

Ah, so that was Silva’s style of battle? Kenna forced herself to focus on the Pokemon rather than the bard-like human across from her, though the contented smile on her face showed that the music was a pleasant addition to the match. This guy -- though Silva’s gender was still under debate -- was a skilled musician, and had fantastic reflexes. She approved, despite the fact that this meant her chance of victory was even lower.
”Keep firing those bubbles, Asteria!” Kenna called out to the bug-type. Before she could oblige, she was hit by the quick attack and flopped over backwards. Crawling to her feet, eyes narrowed in concentration, she aimed at the Buizel and fired, trying to follow his movements. She knew the attacks were not effective, but it was still good practice. This time, she was also prepared to dodge the next attack, her legs tense and ready for action.
Rio was a feline, and as such enjoyed her sleep as much as the next Pokemon. However, the battle had just begun. She was tempted to follow the Slowpoke’s lead and let out a yawn of her own, but she resisted the urge. Her teeth were still embedded in the Slowpoke’s flank, so she was unable to avoid the tail. Pushed away, she growled at her opponent. At Kenna’s command, she lunged forward -- avoiding the tail this time -- to deliver a scratch to the Slowpoke’s face.
::surskit:: Rio hit by Quick Attack. Used Bubble on Buizel.
::meowth:: Rio not effected by Yawn. Hit by Tackle. Used Growl and Scratch on Slowpoke.

::Slowpoke:: As if Slowpoke was even going to bother avoiding attacks. He just lay slumped on the ground, groaning about half a minute after the scratch tore open his face. >Ohw...you bit my side< He moaned. Geez, how daft could you get?! He moaned as he lay flat on the ground. He seemed lazier than ever, though his body was radiating an odd kind of energy. [[Slowpoke used Curse! It lowers his speed, but raises his defense and attack!]]
But eventually, he seemed in the right mood to battle. He frowned and got up on his legs. >And you scratched me.< He considered. His eyes rolled around a bit as he bumped himself forward, adding a certain odd power behind it that would strengthen this blow.
[[Slowpoke used Zen Headbutt! It has a 10% chance to make the enemy flinch!]]
For Buizel, this was a game. But one he was really good at. Silva and he were a good team, and Buizel kept a sharp ear on Silva's music. It made his movements even more unpredictable as he leaped up suddenly and twisted his body in a swift tornado, a flare of wind energy emitting from his body. Buizel was hit by another one of the bubbles, but the attack did not matter much to him.
[[Buizel was hit by Bubble. It was not very effective. Buizel used Sonic Boom!]]

The Slowpoke’s attack landed directly onto Rio’s stomach, pushing the feline backwards and knocking the wind from her lungs. Still, the Pokemon was not incredibly strong, even after the Curse. Rio fluffed up her fur and growled at the mixed-water-and-psychic type, keen on bringing its power back down. ”Rio, go for Bite again,” Kenna called out, and Rio nodded. The scratch attack was more natural for the cat, but as a dark-type move, Bite was super effective. She scurried forward and lunged towards the Slowpoke, prepared to sink her teeth into the creature’s neck.
Asteria let out a loud squeak when she was hit by the strange tornado, unable to jump aside in time due to the speed of the attack. Without any other moves in her arsenal, she fired out yet another stream of bubbles as soon as the Buizel was in her sight.
::meowth:: Rio hit by Zen Headbutt. Uses Growl and Bite.
::surskit:: Hit by Sonic Boom. Used Bubble.

Slowpoke was far too ignorant to even bother to try and dodge the attack. The fangs sunk keep into his head. Slowpoke blinked, and there was a moment of silence. [[Slowpoke was hit by Bite. It is weakened greatly!]]
and another.
...
...
...
Then Slowpoke yawned. [[Slowpoke used Yawn!]]
...
...
Finally, Slowpoke seemed to realize he might be getting in serious trouble. Lazily, he tried to swat the enemy away with a tail-directed Tackle. [[Slowpoke used Tackle!]]
Their battle stood in sharp contrast with that of Buizel and Surskit, which were both dashing about the area, Buizel doing it with added grace, following Silva's constant music. His ears perked as the music changed and he seemed to receive orders from it. Which was only handy for him, as Kenna was left unaware for what Buizel and Silva were planning. He leaped up and outed a loud, fearsome growl that didn't quite match his size. [[Buizel was hit by Bubble!]] [[Buizel used Growl!]]
Then he dashed around Surskit, well aware that he was on the winning hand in this game. He leaped up and launched a second tornado of energy at Surskit! [[Buizel used Sonic Boom!]]

Rio continued holding onto the back of the Slowpoke's neck, her fangs quite content to gnaw on the psychic-type while it decided whether or not being attacked was a bad thing. At the creature's yawn, however, Rio found herself unable to control her natural instincts to sleep most of the day. A yawn crept out of her mouth, and she was forced to release her grasp on the Slowpoke.
Kenna, seeing that her Meowth was getting droopy, knew very well that she would drift off very soon. "Bite it again, try and knock it out before you fall asleep, Rio!" The feline looked at her trainer, her ear flicking in slight irritation. Fight? She was tired. Then she was hit by the Tackle. Wait. Battle. Right. Snapping back awake for a moment, the Meowth attempted to sink her fangs into the Slowpoke yet again, fighting slumber.
Shivering at the growl that came from the Buizel, Asteria was yet again unable to hop out of the way of the attack. With a squeak, she was hit, and rolled over. Getting up this time was quite difficult, though she somehow managed to crawl to her spindly legs. She was certainly hurt, but not so hurt as to not be able to shoot another stream of bubbles at the Buizel. Trying to keep up the speed, the spider-like Pokemon bounced after Buizel, bubbles flowing freely from her mouth.
::meowth:: Is tired. Hit by tackle. Used Bite.
::surskit:: Affected by Growl. Hit by Sonic Boom. Is very weak. Used Bubble.

::Slowpoke:: Slowpoke was yet again hurt by the bite. About now, he was starting to realize he didn't feel very good. Not at all. >Ugh...< He moaned, frowning before he decided it was time to sleep. Yes, that sounded right.
[[Slowpoke fainted! (though it's gonna take a while before he notices)]]
Silva stopped playing a moment as he realizes Slowpoke had fainted. Well indeed, Meowth had been smarter and sharper. He nodded to himself and withdrew Slowpoke. Now it was two against one. "Buizel, finish the Surskit!" He said before playing his flute as fast as he could.
Buizel nodded. >Gotcha, Silva!< He said as he leaped up and caused another tornado at Surskit. If this one hit, it would be the end of Surskit's battle adventure! [[Buizel used Sonic Boom!]]

Kenna cheered as the Slowpoke went down, knowing that it was useless to even bother trying to keep her Meowth awake at this point. The Pokemon, smiling in contentment as she saw the Slowpoke lose consciousness, curled up in a ball next to his larger, warm figure. It certainly was a good time to take a nap. Nice music in the background. The music stopped and the warmth went away, but no matter. Still so sleepy... it didn't matter...
Kenna turned her attention to Buizel and the Surskit. Asteria was going down very soon. Just as the thought crossed her mind, the poor creature squeaked upon impact, flew backwards, then remained down. Kenna returned the bug-type, patted the Pokeball with care, then turned to Rio. Hopefully she'd wake up before the Buizel turned its attentions on her. She bit her lip.
::meowth:: Is asleep~. <3
::surskit:: Fainted.

Buizel was dancing in joy and happiness. He'd won! He was feeling very good about himself, not even realizing that Meowth was there still.
Then he noticed the rolled up, sleeping cat. He walked over to him as Silva stopped playing. >Oi...why are you sleeping? Does this mean I won?< He asked at Meowth. Then he decided he had won and started bowing at Silva and Kenna. Oh wow, he was the most awesome Buizel that had ever lived.
[[Buizel is feeling really good about himself.]]

Kenna stared at the Buizel for a moment, not quite sure what to make of its silly dance. Then, as it stared at the feline, then started bowing, she giggled. Such an innocent creature, and quite adorable. She'd love to give it a hug, but that would have to wait. The battle wasn't over yet.
...
...
Supposedly. Rio certainly thought it was. And honestly? There was no telling how long the cat would sleep. It could be for a few more seconds, or hours. She was, after all, a cat.
Kenna looked at Silva and, grin still on her face, dipped her head. "Shall we call this your victory, then? Last man standing and all." Losing was not an issue, not in a playful match such as this. Plus, the idea of watching Rio get beat up while the cat was asleep did not appeal to Kenna. Stubborn though Kenna was, she knew when she was beaten; her Meowth was probably stronger than the Buizel, but not after the damage it had taken, and would continue to take while asleep.
::meowth:: Still snoozing~.

Silva blinked. "Yes...I suppose so." He admitted. It had been his luck that Slowpoke was so lazy it affected all around him. He'd have to treat Slowpoke to something nice later. THough he had no clue what Slowpokes liked.
He smiled and lowered to Buizel, his arms outstretched. Buizel dashed towards his owner (or in his words 'friend') and hugged him tightly. "Ack, Buizel, you're all wet!" Silva complained, though Buizel only rubbed himself deeper against Silva. He tumbled over on his rear and was left giggling with a wet otter in his neck.
When Buizel was finally content on drying himself, he calmed down. Silva got back up and walked over to Kenna to shake her hand. He had promised her something, and was intending to keep to it. "Well, I won, so you get a gift from me!" He said with a smile, taking of one of his bracelets and put it in the palm of her hand. It was a thin chain with a single stone hanging from it, in a beautiful night blue color.
"My sister makes these bracelets. We gypsies believe they bring good luck if given to friends. I mean, we can still be friends right?" He asked.

Kenna laughed at the Buizel’s behavior; it was really a playful creature. The girl was glad that it was not using her as a towel, though cuddling the friendly creature would have been nice. While Buizel was busying itself with Silva, Kenna went over to Rio and scooped the sleeping felind into her arms. The cat was out, and simply heaved a contented sigh as Kenna’s arms wrapped around her. She stood and accepted Silva’s hand as the male(?) walked over to her, shifting Rio to one side of her body.
Accepting the gift, Kenna held it up to her face, examining the stone with wide eyes. The dark blue was quite a contrast to the lighter tint of her eyes, and Kenna absolutely loved it. In all honesty, she’d forgotten about the promised gift, making the surprise all the more wonderful. ”It’s beautiful!” she said, slipping it onto her wrist. It was large, but with a quick knot it was made secure enough to stay on.
Still holding up her arm, Kenna met Silva’s gaze. ”Of course we can. I want to hear more of your music, after all. Just make sure you win that raffle, okay?” A shiny Pokemon, dancing along with the sweet tune coming from this young man’s flute was a beautiful image, after all. And Kenna was fond of Silva. She honestly did wish him the best of luck, though the same words could have easily slipped across her tongue to an enemy.

Buizel climbed up to Silva's shoulder and nodded approvingly at Kenna's new bracelet.
"Thanks! I'm going to train...become even better...and then Buizel and me will do a contest." He promised Kenna. He rubbed his nose. "I hope I win, but we can never know" He admitted. Then he said his goodbyes to Kenna. he was sure he'd meet her again. Then, she'd also be stronger. He took a moment to rub Rio over the head, then left, with Buizel waving at Kenna over Silva's shoulder.

Returning to the couch where she'd been sitting before Trey had entered the room, Kenna examined her new bracelet for a while after Silva had left. It was a simple gift, but weren't those the ones that mattered? Even Kenna could acknowledge that common thought.
After a few minutes with no new potential trainers poking their heads into her open doorway, Kenna drew out a sphere she had all but forgotten about. The one she had taken from the trading event, when the machines went berserk. She hadn't even chanced a look inside, yet! So, without further ado, she clicked the center circle of the Pokeball. For a moment, nothing happened -- damn electricity -- but after a few irritating seconds a Horsea appeared in a flash of pale red light.
The fish was, despite being out of water, quite graceful whilst on land. Kenna tilted her head, examining the critter. It sure was adorable, but she already had a water type. And Horsea was fairly rare... maybe she could get a decent price for it? With this thought in mind, she poked the small creature, which giggled.

Right before he decided to stop by the Kwikie Mart for some snacks, Seamus stopped by the Verona Trainer Lounge, curious to see how it was faring in these strange times. He sure looked out of place; dark leather jacket, dark black shoes, orange sunglasses, a suitcase, and his age. Still, anyone could be a trainer these days, and he happened to need the protection. It was rather empty, but he had been hoping to get a good glimpse of the area. Maybe he could even buy some things while he was here, because hell, he had the cash to burn. Nearby, the only sign of life besides the workers was a young woman alongside some strange creature. Blue...
Blue meant a water type, and he happened to be familiar with this rare specimen. A fine addition to his growing water type collection? Oh, well with that adorable face, he couldn't see how he could get by without it. The only problem was...that the owner was female. Perhaps he could bargain without looking at her? No, no. That was foolish. Maybe if he focused on the Horsea, that could be appropriate. He had to have it, regardless of the scary female that had it. "E-excuse me, miss? I couldn't help but see y-your lovely Horsea." He stuttered, clearly nervous and shy. He meant no harm though, despite his creepy looks. "Would you be interested in a trade? For cash, perhaps?" Seamus questioned, wondering if it was so dear to her that she would part with it. Tagged: Spade [/font]

Though she had been expecting someone to come up to her to request a battle, the thought of someone just coming up to her and asking to purchase her new Pokemon was not anticipated. Granted, the thought of trading it had certainly been crossing her mind; therefore, the prospect was not at all undesirable. That it was a creepy old man asking for a cute little Horsea? That was slightly different.
Regardless, Kenna put on a cute smile as she looked up at the figure towering overhead. Despite his appearance, he really did seem harmless at the moment; perhaps he had a weakness for the fairer sex? How cute. ”You want my Horsea?” she asked, tilting her head slightly as she looked between Seamus and her new water type. ”I dunno… I did just get it… but if you really wanted it I guess we could make a deal.” Her voice was hesitant, her lips pouting, as though she was seriously contemplating the matter. In truth, all she needed was a high offer and she’d be fit as a fiddle. Why not? This guy looked well-dressed enough to have money enough to please her.

At first the girl seemed to consider not giving him the Horsea, which nearly made his heart break. Such an adorable creature, belonging with such a sweet girl, well maybe he was being too rude about the whole situation. He would've just grunted and left it at that, but Kenna thought about it some more, and from the expression on her face, he figured she could be persuaded. Possibly. "Don't worry about that. I really admire water types." A light smile, trying to cover up the nervous laugh that was getting lodged in his throat. Seamus faked a cough, as if to show that he was preparing to say something serious. "I'd pay 20k for it. Considering how rare it is. It's not exactly strength I'm looking for, but if its at a higher level..." His eyes locked onto the Horsea's adorable ones, and he couldn't imagine how such a thing could be strong. It was...so cute. Tagged: Spade [/font]

Twenty thousand Pokedollars for this little critter? Inwardly, Kenna was thrilled. She was certain that if he was willing to offer such a large amount that he would go even higher, but the girl didn't want to risk losing his interest. That would just be a pity. Kenna looked back at her Horsea and bit her lip, contemplating the offer for a moment before finally nodding.
I guess that is okay," she said, smiling up at Seamus. Kenna stood up -- though it hardly made much of a difference thanks to her height -- and handed the tall man the Pokeball belonging to the Horsea. "Here you go!"

((Oh gosh >< I'm soo sorry I replied late)) Rane entered the Trainer Lounge, feeling a bit intimidated by the number of people inside. Everyone seemed to have strong Pokemon around. Rane wondered if she was out of her mind to be here, seeing that she was only a rookie. It'll be good practice for my Pokemon and me,she assured herself, hoping it'll be true. Looking around, she spotted a girl and a man standing only a few feet away. The girl looked nice, so Rane approached her with a shy greeting. "Uh, hi,"Rane began, trying not to look scared. "Do you think we could battle?"

Seamus nodded, pleased that the offer had been accepted so easily. He grasped the Pokeball in his hands, careful not to make contact with Kenna's skin in fear of breaking out into a ferocious blush. With the sphere in his hands, he recalled the Horsea into the sphere, watching almost sadly as those adorable eyes were taken in as well. As for the money... He took out his wallet with his free hand, not noticing as another girl walked into the scene. He fumbled through some wads of cash and managed to pull out the exact amount-- 20k. It was handed neatly to Kenna, again making sure not to actually make any contact. With a nervous sigh, he scuttled around Rane, a little desperate to hurry to his PC to return the small thing to a safer area.
