PKMN TRAINER SHINJI
Shinji sighed, glancing up from his seated position on the floor. He was just itching for battle, for a chance to get some realistic training in for his Pokemon. Pascal was out of his ball, as Shinji felt he needed some bond time with the Ledyba, and he figured he would use him first against whatever challenger stepped to him.
"Easy, Pasc. You'll have an opponent eventually, buddy," he would whisper reassuringly to the red bug, giving it a gentle pet on the head. He wondered how long until someone appeared to face him.

Blitz came into the trainer lounge in hopes of a quick battle to give one of his Pokémon some very quick and easy experience... This Pokémon was his Tangela, Perseus. He had not been used in a while and Blitz felt insulted by that... He looked on and saw a five star Pokémon staring at him, <"This will be a fun match for Perseus."> Blitz said as he looked at Shinji. It would also be a good time for him to get the name of Team Death across... Blitz clipped one of his pokeballs and threw it to the ground. From it popped a green and viney Pokémon who looked at the five star Pokémon and then at the white hair trainer. "Pffftttt. Not interesting or unique at all." Perseus said as he positioned himself for the battle. <"You may go first."> Blitz said to Shinji and his Pascal. You have the first move... Lets you go first [OOC: Want to have a 3v3 only? Then I can also use Sam in a 3v3 battle too...] Tangela (13.5), Elekid (16.5), Wooper (11.5)

PKMN TRAINER SHINJI Shinji raised an eyebrow at his opponent, as not even a word was said to denote the challenge. He merely released his Pokémon and gave him the initial attack. Swiftly pushing himself to his feet, he would slide his hands into his pockets while pursing his lips into a smirk. This guy was obviously serious about battles, so he would be as well.
Looking to his five star bug, he would give the Ledyba a nod as a signal to get into action. Pascal didn't even need his trainer's signal to understand what he needed to do. With another nod as a reply, the bug flew up and hovered forward, tightening all six of its fists. <"I'll prove myself!"> he said to himself reassuringly. Shinji grinned a bit, happy that the little guy was more enthusiastic than when he got him.
"Don't regret it! Pasc, Safeguard! Then charge at it," he would order and the Ledyba would move into action. Crossing each pair of arms into a defensive manner, the bug's body would glow as it used its energy to fend off any statuses for awhile, in case his opponent had any status inducing moves. Then the bug would quickly shift all arms to their respective sides while lunging forward.
"Fly low the rise up with a Tackle!" ordered Shinji, and Pascal would obey. With a low altitude of flight that was borderline dangerous, his body centimeters from the ground, Pascal would aim up at the last moment to let its body deliver the brunt of the tackle.
(Pascal! ) lv.16.5 - Pascal used Safeguard!
- Pascal used Tackle!

Blitz noticed that the bug had began to glow and he was curious to what it meant... He checked his attackdex and found out the move was safeguard... The Attackdex said: "Safeguard, it prevents the foe from having status problems for five turns." Blitz nodded and was interested in what Shinji had just done... <"Safeguard eh? That is good for taking away my sleep powder I guess..."> But as he spoke the Ledyba showed his unquestionable speed and flew right under Tangela and ended up hitting him right in the head and knocked his jaw back a bit. Perseus began to bruise in his jaw and almost let out a tear before he was stopped by Blitz who looked at him as if he was a joke of a pokemon if he'd cry over that. <"Growth, Shock Wave."> Blitz said to Perseus who quickly began to grow much larger than before... Perseus stood bigger, more puffed up, and more powerful. Then with his increased strength his vines began to turn yellow and from it came a stream of blue electricity that came at the direction of Pascal. It was an unavoidable attack that came at Pascal in an attempt to knock the foe out with one powerful attack... Blitz smiled, as he did not believe Pascal could dodge or survive this attack. He was a bit too overconfident as he felt that Pascal was a weakling in comparison to his pokemon, without knowing Pascal was actually stronger... ::Tangela:: (+1 special attack) Hit by Tackle. Used Growth and Shock Wave.

PKMN TRAINER SHINJI
Hearing the command for the Tangela to use Growth, Shinji would whip out his attackdex just to make sure he had heard right. It wouldn't be a surprise for him to find that it was a move that increased the special attacking ability of the user. "Pasc, Light Screen!" he would order out upon hearing the order for a Shock Wave to be sent out. The bug Pokémon had manage to get its protection up before the move hit, halving the damage it would have taken.
With a glance at the move Shock Wave in his attackdex, Shinji was relieved he hadn't just told Pascal to dodge. It said that the move was nigh impossible to dodge. While that posed a problem, at least light screen would keep it safe from taking severe damage from the move for awhile. "Comet Punch!" he would call out as the bug Pokémon swooped in to close the distance between its opponent. All six fists would be hurled out in an attempt to bombard the opponent with punches.
(Pascal! ) lv.16.5 - Pascal used Light Screen! (Special Attack damage received is halved.)
- Pascal was hit by Shock Wave! (Slightly weakened)

Blitz saw the Ledyba put up a nice Light Screen to shield the Shock Wave and he was impressed with this pokemon... It wasn't as worthless as he had originally thought, but it still will stand no match against Perseus, at least that was what Blitz assumed... Suddenly though, it flew right at Perseus and with it's six fists it punched the vine pokemon five times consecutively. One punch did not hurt, but all five put together did a number on Perseus who began to weaken. Blitz did not like where this battle was going, this pokemon had a great natural defense and had some good moves that helped it offensively too... He was not having a good battle so far, but was not going to give up just yet. With Perseus catching his breath, obviously weakened from the attack... He ordered Perseus to get through the Light Screen and go for it regardless... <"Screw the Light Screen. Show him what true power is! Growth and Shock Wave!"> Perseus had to take a moment to regain his breath after getting whacked five times, but when he did, he was able to increase his body and from it sent another blue electric wave at Pascal. It did not help that the light screen would reduce the attack, but he was sure that the super effective nature and the added power from Growth would be enough to bypass that problem... He just hoped he could beat Pascal before Pascal beats Perseus... Because it looked like a very fair fight so far. He was impressed with Shinji, much more impressed than he was with Jacob. This kid has what it takes to join Team Death, maybe. ::Tangela:: (Weakened) (+2 attack) Hit by Comet Punch (x5). Used Growth and Shock Wave on Pascal

PKMN TRAINER SHINJI
With the success of his maneuvers, Shinji still wouldn't lower his guard. He wouldn't assume anything of his opponent based on the current progress aside from his strategy type. Hearing the call for Growth, Shinji smirked. He knew what would come next. The shockwave move. He also knew the pokemon would be still while performing it. "Supersonic, Pasc!" he would order while his Ledyba flew closer and discharged the rings of hypersound.
Pasc would find himself once again struck by the electric move, but Shinji would have several factors to thank for his Ledyba's survivability of that and another shot. No same type attack boost, the move itself had a low base power, the pokemon using it was a lower level, and light screen halved the damage. Combined with a decent defense against special moves, there should have been plenty of confidence his pokemon could survive if Shock Wave was all his opponent had in his arsenal.
Not even waiting to see if the Supersonic succeeded in confusing the foe, Shinji would point forward. "I know it's a pain, but suck it up and strike again! Comet Punch once more!" he would order, Ledyba nodding while pushing past its pain. Its strong will to prove itself seemed to benefit it in this scenario, the pokemon attempting another onslaught of punches.

Blitz saw that the attack had succeeded again which was good as the enlarged body did his Pokémon some great justice. But when Pascal suddenly shot a supersonic wave at Perseus, he was too distracted to dodge and suddenly Blitz saw his Pokémon moving around in a dazed manner. <"This is not good..."> Blitz said as the five star Pokémon again charged at his Tangela and hit him with five consecutive comet punches... One of them was bad, but all five was terrible. Perseus began to bruise heavily, if a vine could even bruise, and he saw himself in a big disadvantage against Pascal. His mind definitely wasn't straight here which did not help at all... Blitz just had to hope it wouldn't affect him too much as he ordered for Perseus to do the same action. <"Perseus, go with Growth and Shock Wave."> The problem with it was Perseus wasn't really "focused" completely and instead of hearing Growth and Shock Wave... Perseus heard Go and "start a wave." This command made absolutely no sense to Perseus who just decided to interpret it himself and he took it to mean go and run into a wall for some unknown reason. Blitz saw this and he placed his hand over his head... <"Oh man, this is not going to be good..."> Blitz said as he saw his Pokémon suddenly run into a wall... Not good at all... And even worst off, when Perseus got up he could tell that the Pokémon was very banged up. Definitely not a good sign... (Almost Very Weak) (CONFUSED) (+2 special attack) Hit by Supersonic + Comet Punch (X5). Hit self in confusion [OOC: Do note that Shock Wave is super effective so it is multiplied by two times the damage. So base of 60 is actually 120 against you. And with special attack at +2 it is probably at around 250... Even if Light Screen lowers it, it is still a very strong move.]

PKMN TRAINER SHINJI
Managing to confuse the Tangela proved to be a wonderful development in Shinji's favor. The hazy movements of the Pokémon let the white-haired trainer know his tactic had succeeded, and his Ledyba's successful Comet Punch attack brought him a bit of relief. He was actually somewhat sure the first round of the match would be over soon. But he wouldn't count his blessings quite yet. Just because he had the advantage didn't make it alright to slack.
"Don't give it breathing space! Comet Punch once again!" yelled Shinji, amped that Pascal was doing so well in their first match together. The Pokémon nodded solemnly before charging at the confused Tangela and loosing another barrage of punches at it. Shinji wouldn't waste a movement, however. "Now use reflect!" he would call out, the Pokémon glowing once again to wrap itself in another barrier of light.
Once finished, he would stand hovering in position while awaiting his trainer's next command. Shinji merely clenched his fists, waiting for the opponent's next movement.
(Pascal! ) lv.16.5 [Almost Very Weak] - Pascal used Comet Punch!
- Pascal used Reflect!
( OOC: Alright, I actually used a stat calculator. The first hit at most would have done 14 HP, and the second hit 20 HP, assuming max special attack on Tangela for its level and Max Sp. Def for Ledyba at its level, the boosts factored in, light screen factored in. This means Pascal's at less than half his HP.)

Common... Comet Punch... Perseus saw this coming a mile away and so did Blitz. Blitz quickly nodded at Perseus to dodge and the vine pokemon wasted no time. He was confused but it seemed to not mess with his head too much this round as he was able to evade the punches by moving to the side and evading the five star pokemon that ran at it and tried to punch it. While he moved to the side, he quickly released another blue electricity... This time from point blank range on the five-star pokemon. Blitz had hoped this would take him out, he needed to knock this five star pokemon out of the match because it was seriously giving Perseus too much trouble. And with the big three defensive tactics... He was scared that it would not stop here. It would keep going and he just seriously did not want to deal with that. Not now, not ever. He hoped that this last one would do the trick, because after Perseus looked back to being confused and dazed, and he didn't think Perseus would last one more turn... ::Tangela:: (Almost Very Weak) (CONFUSED) (+2 special attack) Dodged Comet Punch. Used Shock Wave on Pascal [OOC: Okay, I was confused with your post before which was why I said that. Cause you mentioned something about type so I thought you forgot the super effective. Also when you get 12,000 PD I suggest you buy Light Clay for Pascal. It lengthens Reflect and Light Screen from 5 turns to 8 turns]

PKMN TRAINER SHINJI
Shinji raised an eyebrow as his opponent's Pokémon suddenly seemed to regain itself. Even though its movements were still hazy, it managed to dodge something as quick as a comet punch strike. "Fly up, Pasc!" he would call out while the Tangela was dodging, causing the Ledyba to break from its attacks and move away from the supposedly confused Pokémon. The tactic was simple. So far, the only offensive move he could see was Shockwave, which discharged on a horizontal plane all around the user. The natural way to avoid it would be to be above them.
"Hammer it!" yelled Shinji and the Ledyba would obey its trainer. Coming down above the Tangela, it would strike out with another round of Comet Punch hits. Shinji crossed his arms, wondering how a Pokémon seemed to fight better under the effects of confusion.

The turn had finally come... The safeguard that Pascal was under had waned incredibly which meant it was not going to last another turn... This did Blitz and Perseus a great favor as it meant that Perseus now had an option of what he could do. The ability of Pascal to avoid status changes had finally disappeared and this gave his pokemon a big advantage in this case. Especially seeing how the effects of his move would be in a turn where Safeguard was no longer active... And Light Screen was also waning which gave him even more to look forward to and be hopeful about... What didn't help though, was the swiftness and speed of Pascal who instantly swung three punches at Perseus from the back. Hitting the vine pokemon super hard as he fell to the ground... But he wasn't exactly out of it just yet. The three punches were good but not as strong as the original five. Another punch would have definitely ended it for Pascal but three was enough to give him one more fighting chance... The ground also did Perseus a great justice as it seemed to have made him snap out of his confused state. He was finally right in his mind again and he took this opportunity to show Pascal just how right he was. Sparks began to light up from his body as he sent the attack straight up at Pascal to make him feel the burn of the Shock Wave. And he also began to send very tiny powders all over the air while he was at it to lull the pokemon to sleep if the shock did not knock it out yet. Perseus was very tired and did not have the energy to get up, but he hoped that Shock Wave would do the job and not make him have to get up... ::Tangela:: (Very Very Weak) (+2 special attack) Hit by Comet Punch (X3). Used Shock Wave and Sleep Powder [OOC: Note that after my post, Safeguard would have disappeared as you started the 5th turn and I concluded it... So my attack takes place on the sixth turn]

PKMN TRAINER SHINJI "Do a barrel roll, Pasc!" called out Shinji upon seeing the Tangela falling to its back. He would have assumed it fainted had its eyes not been open. Sensing his trainer's urgency, Pascal would roll away from the grass Pokémon to escape Shock Wave's range and, jointly, Sleep Powders range. Both were surprised to see it still had enough strength to let out another attack.
Looping around, the Ledyba would dive down and throw its body at the top of the curly pokemon's head. This was because Pascal himself recognized the pokemon's inability to see that far back. Shinji raised an eyebrow, wondering if Pokémon had natural fighting instincts as a result of the influence of trainers. "Good job, Pasc!"

[OOC: You have no more dodges for the rest of the match as you used up all three] Perseus and Blitz were disappointed to see that Pascal had rolled and dodged both of his attacks. And when Pascal came down and hit Perseus, it was safe to say that Perseus had fainted and it was also safe to say that Blitz returned him to his pokeball. Blitz was sad and disappointed to see that Perseus had fainted against this Pascal, <"I guess he was stronger than I initially gave him credit for."> Blitz said to himself as he put away Perseus' pokeball and instead took out Zeus' pokeball next. <"You will have to do next."> He said as he dropped Zeus' ball to the ground. Out of it came the electric type that looked at the field and decided that it was time to show off his repertoire against the five star bug. <"Zeus, use Ice Punch."> He quickly said to his Elekid which Zeus quickly did as he was told and charged up his chilling fist at the Ledyba in an attempt to knock it out of the battle and end it's night once and for all... ::Tangela:: (FAINTED) Hit by Tackle. Fainted. +2 exp for Pascal, +1 exp for Perseus

PKMN TRAINER SHINJI
( OOC: So you say :p )
Overjoyed from victory and feeling his strength increased, Pascal would find his body glowing as his form shifted from that of a Ledyba to... A Ledian! Pascal had actually evolved. Shinji smiled, fist pumping in cheer at his technically new pokemon. "Think you can last a bit longer, Pasc? Use Mach Punch!" he called out, the Ledyba feeling happy with its victory. The Pokemon went in for a swift strike. However, he would find himself preemptively hit with the Ice Punch. The attack proved super effective, and the Ledian would fall to its knees before completely passing out.
"You fought hard, Pasc...," muttered Shinji, returning the poor creature to its Pokeball. Shinji would ponder for a moment, as the Elekid seemed strong. Raising another pokeball, he would kiss it before letting loose his next choice, Callisto! The Nidoran scraped the ground twice with its left foot to denote its eagerness giving its trainer a nod.
"Cal, Leer then Double Kick!" commanded Shinji. The pokemon would smirk, its eyes glowing red as it glared down its opponent before rushing in, stopping on its front legs and pivoting on them to swing its two feet into the body of its opponent.

Blitz was content to have taken out one pokemon, but in it's place came another who quickly started on the offensive with a leer that hit Zeus and a double kick that knocked the wind out of the electric type. Both legs hit and it caused Zeus to get pushed back a bit, harmed by the attack but not overly damaged. Zeus' static electricity began to activate after being hit and he hoped to have sent enough of a static pulse back to the Nidoran to stunt it and paralyze it. Zeus decided it was time to return the favor and he nodded to Sam who nodded back to him. <"Zeus, use Leer and hit him from a distance."> Blitz would say. He hoped that Zeus knew this meant Thundershock as that was the only attack he had that could hit from a distance, not knowing that Zeus had learned a new attack already... The attack that Zeus ended up using though, was not Thundershock but rather another can't miss attack... This one being Swift. Zeus sent five very bright stars at the direction of Callisto in an attempt to hit it hard and knock it out. These weren't overly powerful but he hoped it would do it's trick. Then as the stars came at Callisto, Zeus also gave him a sharp glare which he hoped would intimidate the Pokémon and cause him to lower his defense. (Not yet weakened) (-1 defense) Hit by Leer and Double Kick. Used Leer and Swift on Callisto [OOC: Ledian faints: +1 exp for Ledian, +0.5 for Tangela for helping out, +1 for Elekid] Tangela (15), Elekid (17.5), Wooper (11.5)

PKMN TRAINER SHINJI Callisto would be surprised by the stars, finding itself unable to dodge the flurry. However, it would find the move too weak to weaken it substantially. "Callisto, use leer then strike!" yelled Shinji, the Pokémon allowing its eyes to glow again as it attempted to lower its opponent's defense. He had yet to take notice to the Pokémon had received a surge of electricity. While he could be considered paralyzed by the electricity, it had yet to seize him. The Pokémon then charged in, stopping short and this time attempting to use double kick by stomping at the Elekid. However, upon finishing its attack, it would slip as it brought its feet back to the ground, turning over as it found itself unable to move.

[OOC: Did Swift and Leer hit or no?] This time Zeus was ready when he saw Callisto come in with the Double Kick. He was hit by the eyes of Callisto but when the Nidoran tried to kick him with his legs, he moved out of the way of that attack and dodged it. Blitz smiled and said to the naive trainer... <"The same attack won't work twice against Zeus.">... Zeus then prepared himself and shot another stream of white light at the Nidoran. The light shined bright as it came at the purple thing, and it came very fast at the pokemon... Almost in an unavoidable speed. Blitz just smiled while this was happening... <"Lets see what you will now?"> He said. ::Elekid:: (Not yet weakening) (-2 defense) Hit by Leer. Dodged Double Kick (2/3). Used Swift on Callisto

(OOC: Yeah. xD )
"Be steadfast, buddy!" yelled Shinji, as the Nidoran had no choice. Upon being bombarded by the swift attack, it would find itself rolling over from the force. Glaring at its opponent, the Nidoran would stagger to its feet. "C'mon buddy, Leer and Double Kick!" he yelled, the Nidoran's eyes glowing once again before it charged at its opponent once again, managing to fight past the electricity in its body. However, upon reaching the Elekid, it would fall to its knees and it found itself unable to finish the attack.

Zeus was hit by a leer and then saw the purple pokemon coming at him this time with another double kick and he started to get worried. He wasn't prepared to dodge this one and he felt his guard was being lowered too much that when this attack hit, it was going to hurt like crazy... But suddenly the electricity in Nidoran's body had finally caught up with him. He could not finish the attack and instead fell to the ground, paralyzed. Zeus simply laughed... "Don't play with electricity if you aren't ready to get shocked." He laughed before he looked Callisto right in the eyes with his leer and then sharpened his fist to end the pokemon's day. He turned his fist blue and swung it right in between Callisto's eyes... Hoping to knock the pokemon out with one quick and powerful Ice Punch so that it could not attack again. ::Elekid:: (Not yet weakening) (-3 defense) Hit by Leer. Used Leer and Ice Punch on Callisto
