Nathan Crowley
MALE, SEVENTEEN, FROM LAVENDER TOWN
Background:
Nathan was born on a silent and chilly night on October 25 as the only child of a famous fire-type trainer and a gorgeous coordinator. The temperature at the night of Nathan's birth was freezing, so every resident of Lavender Town was locked up in their warm home. Because of the unusually cold weather the roads were frozen, so the ambulance couldn't come in time to take Nathan's mother to the hospital, his dad had to deliver the baby with instructions given to him from an obstetrist through his phone. Fortunately Nathan's father was able to do it successfully.
Nathan's life was peaceful until his father and mother suddenly disappeared in an accident. They decided to climb Mt. Moon and left the 4 years old Nathan at home with a neighbor. They disappeared that day and were never found again.
The young Nathan was taken in by an orphanage in Celadon and spent 6 years in the institution. At the age of 10 he was adopted by his paternal grandfather who he's never seen before. He was a nice, peace-loving old man who lived in the Cheyenne region.
The young boy's life was peaceful again, but nothing was the same as before. Due to the lack of parently love, he became reserved, mistrustful and uncommunicative. He avoided people and rarely talked with anyone except his grandpa. After a while he opened up to people thanks to his grandfather's hard effort, though he still had troubles trusting people.
Then everything went wrong...
One day Team Death invaded the small town he was living in with his grandparents. They wanted to get an ancient stone tablet which had information about the whereabouts of Kyurem, a legendary Pokémon from Unova. Since they didn't know who had the table or where was it found, they started destroying the whole town, brutally killing both Pokémon and humans alike.
Nathan's Grandpa locked the boy up in a big wardrobe and told him to stay quiet just before Team Death broke through their door. Nathan saw everything through the keyhole...
The Grunts found out that the tablet was in the possession of Nathan's grandpa. They ordered the elderly man to give the table to them. The old man silently detached two pokéballs from his belt and released two terrifying monsters.
The first one was a huge, black and gray, bipedal Pokémon which had large armor plating on their body and head. Its face and head was covered in gray armor with horns protruding from the foremost holes. It also had a black and strong tail.
The other one was a bipedal too. It had gray hide with parts covered by orange, rocky plates. It had two long drill-like horns on its head and a club-like tail. It also had rock-like blades coming out of its elbows.
It was an Aggron and a Rhyperior. The grunts hesitated for a moment. The two giants were gruesome. Their stares cold and emotionless, they towered over the intruders. Eventually the grunts sent out their Pokémon and ordered them to attack the two behemoths. The beasts sprung to action at the same time also.
Powerful moves were flying everywhere in every possible direction. The two giants broke the enemies necks, crushed their bones and bit them to death. Organs and limbs were flying everywhere. It wasn't a very nice sight. In the end the two behemoths were overwhelmed by the sheer number of the enemies and Nathan's grandfather was killed.
Team Death succeeded in stealing the table, but they've paid a terrible price. Most of their Pokémon were killed. Even most of the grunts got seriously wounded. The surviving members left the town and set the whole city on fire to kill the surviving citizens. Nathan managed to escape the burning hell with the help of his grandpa's Aggron and Rhyperior. They saved the young human and brought him into a deep forest away from the ablaze town. Unfortunately the two Pokémon passed away right after this.
Surprisingly, Nathan didn't wish to take revenge or anything. This event made him realize somethin though. He was weak. And he didn't like that so he decided to get stronger so he wouldn't so pathetic and empty.
Since Nathan didn't have any place to call home, he stayed in the forest for the time being. He had to learn how to live alone and how to coexist with the pokemons who inhabited the forest and which berries were edible or poisonous.
One day he stumbled upon an old and powerful Hitmonchan tha took a liking to the boy and started to train him. It was a hellish amd painful experience, but he somehow survived though he almost died a few times.
Personality:
Nathan hates crowds, feeling uncomfortable around a lot of people.
He's usually calm, but if you manage to make him angry, you'll regret it.
He's very smart, able to solve even the most complicated equations in a short amount of time. Despite his high intellect, he doesn't use his head often thanks to his lazyness. He's a little dense when it comes to logic and emotions.
He has chronic insomnia. Thanks to this he's always tired and exhausted.
Nathan has a very low self-esteem. He doesn't believe in himself at all. According to his grandpa, who was a psychiatrist, this is due to the lack of praises he was given when he was small since he lost his parents at an early age and nobody paid attention to him in the orphanage.
He doesn' like talking too much, because he thinks it's just a waste of air and time. Ironically, he tends to attract blabbermouths.
Usually, he acts like a jerk, insulting other people and telling them to get lost, but deep down he's a very nice guy.
Appearance:
Nathan can be considered tall for his age, standing 191 centimetres tall and still growing. Though, according to him he's short.
He weighs a little over 71 kilograms and his pretty skinny. This is due to the fact that he often doesn't get to eat. Even though he looks like a bony weakling, he's surprisingly strong thanks to the heavy exercises he does on a daily basis.
His skin is kind of pale, but it's not surprising since he spent most of his time inside the house.
His hair's a very dark shade of brown. He doesn't take care of his hair so it's always a mess. His bangs cover his eyes most of the time so he ends up bumping into things easily.
He suffers from heterochromia iridum, meaning he has differently colored eyes. The left one's gold and the right one's dark blue. He hates it when people stare his face since he hates being the center of attention. Usually, there are black bags under his eyes.
His looks are a little above average, but he doesn't really care.
He's got a nasty scar on his left ankle which he got from a rabid Growlithe when he was 10. It still aches sometimes.
He mostly wears dark-colored clothes. Red or blue T-shirts, black, baggy hoodies and black or duke blue baggy pants with lots of pockets. It covers most of his black skate shoes, causing him to trip sometimes.
(OOC: This is a pretty old character. I made him a long time ago. There might be mistakes with the grammar. It's not too good either... I was too lazy to improve it. Sorry.)
