Though she may look stunning in her contest dress, her lavender colored eyes sparkling in the spotlight and her sleek body moving flawlessly before the crowds, once she's out of the public eye her true self shines though. Her true, messy wild and somewhat overly fun self. The second she's out of view off goes the dress and on go her 'comfy pants' as she calls them, in truth they're really just sweat pants that she wares with the first T-shirt she can dig out of her roughly packed bag. Yes, she has never been, and never will, truly tidy, or truly lady like, or truly what her parents expected of her. Though she does do a good job of acting like it when it comes to contest time. Background: Born wealthy, very wealthy and into a family that had no other children and never would, one would expect her to have become bratty or spoiled, but no, she has never really taken interest in money or material things, and she would have actually done very well in a simpler family, even so, she does enjoy being pampered every so often and can get rather squeamish around dirt, okay no she's just flat out afraid of it... Samantha was born in the Johto region, her parents were the owners of a rather well fairing shop in the area but they seemed to have absolutely nothing to do with it and devoted much of their time to their darling daughter, trying to turn her into the perfect example of a young lady, only to have every plan foiled by their free spirited offspring. Their daughter seemed to have no uncling to acting proper, that was until the two finally fell onto a last resort and sent her to her aunt and uncle in the Hoenn region. Not much time passed before the girl was introduced to the idea of Pokémon contests, she had always loved Pokémon but thought that forcing them into the brutish battles was just unfair to the poor darlings, so when she saw them putting on amazing shows, but fighting all the same, it captured her heart and she begged her family to give her a chance. Her first Pokémon was a lovely Meowth given to her by her parents as a gift, and she soon had it ready and willing to compete, but at the first contest it was clear, she had no chance of getting a proper win, all the judges saw when they looked at her was her family's name, and so judged her on that and she found that even though others were better, she would win a ribbon, she knew she had to find somewhere else to compete, and that's when she ran away... Personality: Samantha is rather strict on how people treat her, for one, she hates her name and much prefers being called Sam or Sammy, unless she is taking part in a contest, in which case she only likes being called by her entrance name, which is her full name, so, Samantha. She has a few delicate tastes in Pokemon, for one she hates any that are associated with dirt or filth or garbage or muk, especially muk...she will physically attack any Pokémon that threatens to filthy her and even though she hates to admit it she actually likes staying clean, which is totally opposite when it comes to being organized, she has a kind of a clean yet messy system going...she's complicated that way. When it comes to battling she has a few strict guidelines; she almost never allows her Pokémon to faint and will rather submit before they are forced to collapse, she only lets a Pokémon fight if it wants to, if not, she chooses something else, even if the type doesn't match and finally, she refuses to allow another Pokémon to be more 'dazzling' than her own. Other than those minor quirks she can actually be a very nice, very loving person, so in other words, when she's in a contest, STAY AWAY, when she's not, she's everyone's friend! Info: She would like to start with her Meowth The history of Bells The day came when a package arrived, it was three weeks since Sam had begged her parents for a Pokemon and now finally the package had come, it didn't take long for the young girl to realize it was the perfect sized box to hold a single, minimized pokeball and it took her over ten minutes to inspect the package, not daring to open it out of fear of what might await her inside. It was a small neatly wrapped, perfectly preserved box, pink wrapping paper covered it and a large white bow was perched on top, a tiny bell attacked to it. Samantha gently tugged on the bow and it fell loose instantly, gently she pulled apart the taped down edges of the wrapping, taking her time not to tare it, not to damage what might be inside. After what seemed half an hour the small brown box within was now visible, it had a easily opened lid, yet Samantha was still uneasy about actually opening it, what if she was wrong, what if it wasn't truly a Pokemon? Slowly she lifted the lid, she felt her head leap into her throat, her face seemed to glow red and her eyes went misty. There it was, a tiny red ball with a shiny white button, it seemed to be jiggling slightly as she breathed on it, perhaps the Pokemon inside was just as excited to meet her as she was. Taking the tiny ball out Samantha couldn't help but wonder, what was it? Did they send a large powerful beast to protect her? A watch dog to keep any dangers away? Or something evil looking, to scare her out of being with Pokemon altogether. The girl gulped as the thoughts ran through her mind, this was going to define the rest of her training life... She pressed the button, the ball puffed up at least three times larger and seemed to glow slightly, this was it, here it came. Samantha pointed the ball forward, holding her eyes clenched shut, she felt the ball push back on her hand slightly at a bright light shot out, sparking to the ground just in front of the girl. "Mweeeo" A little voice chimed, Samantha opened her eyes quickly, looking over the creature in front of her. A small beige feline creature sat before her, little green eyes sparkling as it looked over the girl with the same curiosity. "A...Meowth?" The girl seemed almost in shock, the creature before her was far from what she expected, this was a Pokemon known as a pet, not for fighting, a little cute Pokemon that didn't have any clear purpose, she expected her parents to send her some fighting machine to start with, something to defend herself, but this, this was... "Perfect..." Samantha said, her voice nearly cracking up. The small Pokemon looked on, tilting her head ever so slightly and taking a step toward the girl, it's ears and tail twitching slightly as she looked at the girl with concern. Samantha let a tiny smile sneak onto her lips and reached out a hand. As if the most natural thing possible the Meowth placed both of her paws on the girls hand, smiling brightly and shutting her eyes, pulling her eyes back slightly and pulling one of the cutest faces Samantha had ever seen. "Oh you'll do just fine." Samantha said, a light giggle coming out as she spoke, she turned slightly and picked up the bow and bell that had come with the box, she examined the silky white fabric for a while before holding it at both ends and reaching over to her new Pokemon. The Meowth paused a moment, then reached her head forward, opening her neck to the bow. The girl tied it on slowly then leaned back, watching the Pokemon carefully. It began looking down at the bell, or trying to at least. It was hanging down on her chest, the bow tied behind her head. She shook her head quickly, letting the bell chime loudly. "Meow Meow!" The Pokemon exclaimed joyfully, continuing to ring the bell, obviously very proud of her new accessory. "You really love that, don't you." Samantha couldn't help but laugh at her little Pokemon, it seemed so overly excited about the little metal object. "Well I guess I'll call you Bells then." The Meowth paused and looked at her new owner, her ear flicked quickly as she thought, then as it sank in she let out a loud joyous. "Meowow!" Jumping toward her owner and rubbing against her face, this meant that the girl wanted her, that she had a home now, both trainer and Pokemon seemed to be in bliss. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Word count: 1594 Comments: Hope it' not too bright~ Words thoughts Battle info: ~ none ~ |
