Full Name: Christa LeAnn Michaels
Gender: Female
Age: 17, July 13th
Appearance: Christa has shoulder length sea blue green hair, longer towards the front of her face and slightly shorter as it goes around. Most of the time it just hangs limp like she’s straightened it to much, but when she doesn’t dry it does poof up just a little bit to give her hair a more proper framed look. Her eyes are a darker forest green color, but sometimes she wears colored contacts to make them crimson so she looks at least a little bit like a Gengar. Her skin is a soft tanned color, not too pale, but not looking like she’s been in a tanning bed for five hours.
Seeing as Gengar’s are her favorite Pokémon ever, she does what she can to resemble one without dying her hair or anything like that. In general she will wear a purple or dark gray tank top with a jean jacket over it. This jean jacket is short so the bottom of it comes to about her upper stomach area. Along with that she wears either flowing white, purple, or dark gray pants made of soft cotton with tennis shoes or flip flops matching whatever color pants and shirt she is wearing that day.
Christa generally wears two silver hoop earrings in each ear with a matching necklace that’s a simple sterling silver treble clef. On her right wrist she wears two bracelets carved out of bone. She carries a white shoulder bag that she doodled all over with various darker shade Sharpies with pictures of the Ghastly line among various quotes or bits of randomness.
Background: Christa was raised in a large family. Large. Aside from her parents, she lived on a ranch with her 5 other siblings and the various Pokémon that lived there. Her parents, Raules and Linda, didn’t discriminate what Pokémon they raised and happily took in any sort of Pokémon they were offered or found somewhere that needed a home. Christa was the second oldest of the family. Her elder brother, Mitchell, is 25 and has been gone on his journey since he was 17. 17 being their parents ruling age about going on a journey. His starting Pokémon was Growlithe, but his most prized Pokémon is his Gengar. And of course the moment he came home on a visit and Christa laid her eyes on him, she was instantly in love. She had never been sure just what he favorite Pokémon was, but the moment she saw Gengar she knew for sure what kind of Pokémon she wanted and wanted to specialize in.
Now just like her liking of him, Gengar took a strong liking to her as well and treated her very much like his own daughter. Becoming very over protective of her. Whenever they would visit he was sure to seek her out and visit her first, while she would follow him around everywhere he went, asking him questions and such even if she couldn’t understand him at the time. As the years passed she grew to be able to understand him and the rest of the Ghastly line rather well, other Pokémon not so much. It also helped he used telepathy to speak to her the majority of the time so that was pretty much covered.
During one visit when she was 15, Gengar presented her with a very special present. One of his own sons. He knew that she would take good care of him and that he would be happy with her just as his father was. When Christa was thinking of something to call him, she happened ask Gengar what he thought was a good name, Gengar’s son actually responded to his fathers title. And so it began that the little Gastly’s name became ‘Gengar’. However, Christa still leaves it open for him to change it he ever wishes to. And so, it began.
At first little Gengar was hesitant to be away from his father and his mother, a lovely Haunter, to be near Christa, but seeing as she rarely ever left Daddy Gengar’s side when he wasn’t busy he began to understand that she was a friend. Soon he began to venture away from his family to go with her on her chores, or to school despite being told not to. As time passed, Little Gengar grew closer and closer to Christa and they became inseparable, at least, until it was finally time for Mitchell to leave, taking Daddy Gengar and the Haunter away. Christa told Little Gengar he could go with his family and that she would wait for him to come back, like she always did for his father, and when he returned she would welcome him with open arms and a big hug. Little Gengar floated there for a long while in silence before he went to her shoulder and softly settled beside her neck, snuggling his tiny self into her throat as best he could. Christa was ecstatic that he stayed with her and while she would miss his father like she always did, now she had a true friend that would never leave her.
As the next two years passed, Gengar aged mentally rather well and when he spoke to her he sounded like he was in his mid thirties, early forties, but was still quite weak seeing as he never really battled. Just followed her around really wherever she went. Soon after Christa’s 17th birthday, they decided to leave home and travel across the region to see just what else the world had to offer. And perhaps add more possible Gengar to their group.
Personality: Christa isn’t a very open person to anyone other then Gengar, whom she can speak to about anything. While Gengar has a slight sadistic tendency to scare the fire out of her on a regular basis, she loves him a great deal and wouldn’t give him up for anyone. Christa loves her parents and her sibling, but never really overly opened up to them aside from Mitchell who was her favorite sibling ever.
She doesn’t talk too much, but not too little and has an unfortunate tendency to snap at some one even if she isn’t even angry. It just comes out that way. Although it is often seen and heard, Christa regularly tells Gengar to shut up or something along those lines because he’s having a stupid moment or has embarrassed her in some way, she never means any real harm in it.
While she’s on the somewhat slow side when it comes to becoming actual friends with someone, so long as she hasn’t been insulted or feels belittled which usually won’t happen, Christa will try her best to get along with anyone new she meets.
Info: Christa has a strong liking to any sort of teas or any kind of food that has steak in it. Her favorite candy is sour gummy worms and cannot stand chocolate. While her partner is eager to explore whatever he can, she usually hesitates and lets him go first in whatever it is their doing. She enjoys quite music, ones that won’t blast out her ear drums or stuff like that. In her spare time she enjoys drawing pictures of Gengar or any Pokémon really. But usually doesn’t color them or do any major shading cause she’s afraid she’ll ruin it. Gengar is her close friend and her first Pokémon. He knows Lick and Hypnosis and is at level 3.
Example of your literacy: “I was just saying-”
“I don’t care.”
“But Chris…”
“Just shut up. And don’t call me Chris.”
“But….but…”
Keeping back her groan, the teen paused in her stride and looked to the little ball of gas hovering close to her shoulder. It was all she could do not to melt at the look he was giving her. His little fangs nibbling at his lower lip, eyes even wider then normal and glistening with would-be tears. Hardly thirty seconds went by before she sighed, shaking her head slightly. “Alright, fine. I forgive you. But we don’t ever speak of this again, understood?”
At her words the Gastly perked up considerably and did a flip in the air, bobbing his body in his version of a nod. “But of course!” With that done he darted to her shoulder and snuggled into the crook of her neck, closing his eyes as he made a sound that was something like a purr and yet,….not. Darn his cuteness.
“By the way, are you going to be this small forever?”
“Are you going to be afraid of Jynx forever?”
“YOU SPOKE OF IT!!!”
