Ooc://Err... Prior to this post Jacob hasn't revealed his motives for wanting to join. Since Blitz talked about his though Jacob shall =).
Bic:// Jacob shrugged laughing slightly at the irony of meeting a dark pokemon in a cemetery. "Figured a cemetery would be a good place to find dark and ghost pokemon. Honestly never thought I'd meet an interesting Grunt here."
Jacob was slightly surprised by the random emotional spill. It was almost nice though. If the Grunt was talking about his past, he either was absolutely careless about his life story or was beginning to trust Jacob a bit. "So to sum it up you joined for a family effect and revenge." Jacob nodded slightly considering this. Since he told me his story, I see no harm in telling him mine I guess.
"I guess you could say I want to join for power. Unlike you I knew my parents, in some ways I wish I didn't," His voice grew a little bitter with his memories, "I come from a family of wealth in a different region, but I was restricted from most of it. Little kids are such brats, I was treated as the rich snob even though I had less money to my name than the poorest people of the region. In short, people piss me off."
He took a breath calming himself down. "Just want the power so people can't mess with me." Grant it...till he achieved that power Team Death would probably mettle with him even more.

[OOC: I know. But what you told Blitz made him assume that this is the reason you want to join Team Death.]
Blitz heard the real reason Jacob wanted to join Team Death and he was pushed back a little. This kids story was not as he had imagined and he was also very different than Blitz, but also suffered as much as Blitz (if not more). He like Blitz wasn't accepted in his youth... And although he knew his parents, they weren't the nicest of people. Blitz always thought of parents as loving people, but Jacob's story proved him wrong.
He began to warm up more towards Jacob but then suddenly realized what he was doing... This could all have been a mind trick from Jacob to get Blitz's trust before he turned on him and got him in trouble. He could not allow Jacob to play with him mentally like that and did not wish to show his weakness in front of Jacob. To even out the playing field, he began to lie to Jacob to mess with the kid now.
<"I see that you keep calling me a grunt because I never told you my name. Well, my name is Kai if you want to know. And I see you calling me a grunt because you think that is my rank. Well you are mistaken. I have actually been in Team Death for a very long time, just haven't been out in the open much. This is a place I like to hang around to see all the faces I have killed in my previous life.">
He wanted to scare the boy a bit... Make him question what exactly he got himself into...

Jacob raised an eyebrow, staring at Blitz for a good long time. Slowly he began to grin, then chuckle. It wasn't long before Jacob was laughing so hard he nearly fell off the tombstone. When he finally gained his composure and straightened himself out, he went on to explain himself.
"I'm sorry, that just a rather feminine name for someone claiming to have 'killed'," Jacob had a cocky smirk painted on his face. "So Sea, I take it you're well into your two hundreds? Honestly you don't look a day over twenty." Jacob laughed again. He pointed with his thumb to a tomb that was dated 1829. Other tombstones around them had dates of the same century. Wait...Oh shit! Tell me I did not just laugh at a Team Death Grunt. Damn it.
Jacob's smile slowly slipped away from him. "Good joke, but I think I can tell when someone's lying. Next time have your lies seed from the truth, it makes them a little more believable. Oh and regulate your breathing when you lie, you have to act like you believe the lie." Jacob half smiled. Am I in the clear?
Jacob dug a little deeper in his pockets finding a small thumb tack. His grin grew a little wider and he relaxed himself. "I'm twenty-two. Started training pokemon when I was about seven." He twisted the needle of the thumb tack on his finger when he stated his 'age', a lie. It was a technique he discovered long ago; the pain helped his heart rate and breathing stay at normal levels when he lied.

Blitz was disappointed. He had not done his research previously and found himself losing a battle he didn't really see himself winning now... He wanted to find a way to get the upper hand but he honestly couldn't. He wasn't even 20 years old yet. There was no way he could have killed some of these people. He was caught in his lie and he knew that this is not one he could win.
Blitz completely lost his upper hand and really had no way of regaining it back. Then he heard the trainer talk about how he is 22 and that he started training pokemon since he was seven. Blitz did not know how to respond to this. The kid did not look like he was 22 at all, but he couldn't be so sure. Maybe the kid was teaching him how to lie, as he said it with such conviction that although it didn't look right... Blitz sort of believed him. But then he snapped back at Jacob in one last attempt to regain the upper hand. He had one last method. It was a losing battle but he wasn't the type to give up yet. He was going to give one more try beforehand.
<"You have been training pokemon since you were seven? So fifteen years? Doesn't look like it at all from out battle."> Blitz said before he stood up and began to walk past Jacob and go into another row of cemeteries and look at the statues. He spotted a specific one that was dated back to December of last year. It was of a kid named Cleon who died in the hands of Eleanor. He wasn't there to witness it but he could definitely use this now to his upper hand.
He waited there for the kid, Jacob, to walk by...

Jacob chuckled. He bought the lie? A dark smile passed over him. "You're good at math, yet wrong at the same time. Ten years; and I only reached this region three years ago," He called after Blitz. He slowly rose to his feet and followed, staying behind the stranger a few feet.
They stopped before a tombstone with this year's date. Aww, I think I hurt his pride. "I take it being with Team Death hasn't taught you to lie, or catch a lie, huh?" He half frowned, but tried to look encouraging. His gaze turned back to the tombstone. "You don't trust me. I would ask why, but I already know that answer. Also know it's pointless to try to change your mind."
Jacob took a deep breath and blew it out slowly. "I ought to be going about now anyways," He held out a pokeball, allowing Luthe to poke out of the red light. He knelt and petted the canine, whispering something in her sensitive ears.
Standing up to his full height of shortness five feet and six inches, he offered a small smile and a wave to the grunt. "See you around, Grunt Sea" He laughed slightly as he began to walk away. Luthe followed behind him, awkwardly trotting about so as to burn Jacob's tracks well more importantly Blitz's from the cemetery. A safety percaution, persay.
There is still time to stop Jacob. Try to stop him or let him walk away?

Blitz noticed the person walking away after thinking that he hit a soft subject when Blitz stood behind the tombstone. But this was not someone Blitz knew at all... Blitz simply watched him walk away and felt at peace for a bit, but then remembered that if this kid walked away... He could still be ratted out and he did not want to take that risk.
<"Where do you think you are going? Do not make me do to you what I did to this person"> Blitz quickly snapped at the boy, hoping he would hear it and turn around... scared and weak compared to Blitz. He then threw out two pokemon. One was Zeus who speedily used Quick Attack to get in front of Blitz. The other pokemon was Scylla who slithered to the side of Jacob and gave him a very dark leer. Scylla's stomach began to growl and she began to open up her mouth to show the boy that she could swallow him whole.
Blitz quickly stated what he had said again... <"Where do you think you are going?"> and he waited for Jacob to respond. He could not, and was not, going to trust this boy yet.

Without any command from her trainer, Luthe, still weak from the earlier attacks. positioned herself roughly in between the two enemy pokemon. <You will have to go through me first!> She snapped at the two, growling defensively.
"That's enough Luthe." He scolded the Growlithe aloud, but he had to give her credit. The she-pup had balls. He turned to face the Ekans, keeping an eye on the dirty golden wolf and Blitz. "As I told you, I'm not a fan of people. Right now, using your pokemon to overpower me, this is pissing me off. I was going to train my pokemon on account of the fact I have no further questions that could be answered by a grunt such as yourself."
Jacob paused for a minute considering what he had just said. He was in for a hell of an electric shock (and maybe a vicious bite) if this all turned out wrong. "Nothing you would be willing to tell me at least."

Blitz finally gave in and admitted that this kid had balls, he started to respect the kid a lot more for he had balls to stand up against a trainer much stronger than him and not back down. He was brave, Blitz will give him that. Stupid, but brave. Blitz reached into his pocket and slowly threw a pokeball at Danish. The pokeball was heavier than a regular empty one showing him that it did have a Pokémon in it... Blitz then returned his two Pokémon and began to walk a bit further before stopping and looking at the kid. He awaited for the kid's action after this. What will the kid do in a situation like this when the person just gave him a pokeball that definitely contained a Pokémon in it. Blitz did not leave so he obviously did not mean to just give the person a pokeball as he was still eying the kid... So what exactly did he mean by that? What was Jacob going to do next? Blitz tossed a pokeball at the kid ::pokeball:: What are you going to do next?

Jacob caught the pokeball with ease. It felt strange, why was it a little heavy? Is he giving me a Pokémon? Jacob looked back at the stranger with a questioning glance. "What is this?" Jacob let his curiousity rule his urge to train.
Luthe was curious as well, but her distrust for this man's Pokémon outweighed such feelings. She slinked in front of Jacob in between the two trainers and flattened her ears to her head, baring her teeth. He better not be trying to hurt Jacob!
Jacob weighed the pokeball in his hands, giving him something physical to do. Why did he hand me this? Does he expect me to battle him with his Pokémon? Or is this some form of sabatoge...? What would his moti-..He doesn't trust me. Of course he could try to make me fail. Jacob glared in Blitz's direction, weary of what may have been to come.

Blitz looked at the kid and found himself having the upper hand now. <"You want to prove your worth to Team Death? Release that pokemon and return the pokeball to me. I want to see how you do against one of my pokemon. If you win, you might have a future here and you can keep the pokemon. If you lose, well you have no place in this team then."> Blitz said to the trainer as he put his hand in a motion as to capture the pokeball thrown back to him, anticipating the trainer to do as he wished because the trainer was so set on joining Team Death that he would not miss a chance like this to prove his worth. He waited there for the trainer to open the pokemon and toss the ball back to him. He was also curious to see Jacob's battling abilities. This was not particularly one of his stronger pokemon but he did assume that it'd be stronger than some of Jacob's pokemon. Especially since they looked so weak compared to his Perseus and Zeus when he battled Jacob before. What was Jacob going to do in this position now? Blitz is ordering you to battle the pokemon. If you win you can keep it

Jacob pondered the thought momentarily. "Battle you with one of your own pokemon?" A small smile erupted into a shadowed toothy grin which did not seem to fit the boy's soft features.
"That is quite an interesting proposal. You get a large benefit from it so I am sure you'll be pleased no matter the outcome of the battle." Jacob pulled Luthe's pokeball out and returned her with his free hand, ensuring her safety during this battle. "Alright then, I accept the offer."
The Grunt is quite an interesting one. Let's see what other pokemon he has been carrying around, Jacob thought as he let the pokeball roll of his hands, opening mid-air and releasing a bright red light that always excited Jacob. The red light began to take shape and form into a...

The pokemon that ended up coming out of the pokeball was the one Blitz had most recently captured. It was not a favorite of Blitz's as he only caught it because it hated the confinement of a pokeball. He wanted to make the pokemon pay since it was given an option to leave and it chose to stay and battle Blitz... Because of that, it needed to pay and Blitz made it pay. The pokemon that popped out of the pokeball was a Caterpie who began to look around, confused and scared. "Where am I? A Cemetery? Am I dead? What is going on?" He began to weep. But then he suddenly noticed the mean trainer who caught him. "You again?! What are you going to do to me?" Finally he noticed Jacob on the other side... "Oh a battle? Why are trainers always so mean? Making their pokemon battle over and over again. Even when they are tired."He looked at Jacob and began to shoot a string and sticky web of strings at him. "Take that you mean person!" He would have done the same to Blitz but he feared what Blitz would do to him... Blitz beat him with ease once already, he really did not want this to happen again... ::Caterpie:: Used String shot on Jacob

Jacob's somewhat okay mood went sour fast. A scowl crossed his face, deeply annoyed with the buggish Pokémon. He pulled out a pokeball and enlargened it. Today is not the day for black pants. Damn bug.
"So if I defeat this Caterpie, I might have a chance on getting in Team Death?" Jacob's smile curled with a dark touch. "Interesting. Alright then, I accept your offer."
He tossed the pokeball down and a red light quickly took the shape of Arsenic, who let out a cry of surprise having been summoned again so soon. The blue dragon glanced over at Jacob, tilting his head side to side. <Is something wrong?>
"Arsenic, it is time to show your value. Use Bite on the Caterpie." Jacob's eyes were pinned on the bug, his hands dug into the pockets annoyed with the dirt and such plastered on his pants from the gooey webs. Oh what a day. He growled quietly.
Arsenic did not entirely understand but nodded. <A battle. As you wish Jacob.> He leaned forward and charged awkwardly wobbling. When he came close enough to the Caterpie, he opened his jaw wide and lept to attack.

Caterpie saw the slick hair of the Bagon pulled back. He looked so cool with his hair pulled back, something Caterpie had always wished he could do but could not. Bagon was totally looking like a Jersey Shore boy right now with, as if his hair was gelled and pulled back. Caterpie was impressed as with how strong the Bagon looked and he wished to be like that. "Do I have to start pumping iron to be like you? I want to be stronger also." He said when he suddenly noticed that the Bagon wasn't out to play with him or even chat with him, the Bagon was out for business and moved quickly to attack the Caterpie. "What is this bro? Why are you attacking me? I just wanted to be stronger like you... I just wanted to be more ripped, more tanned, and cleaner like you. Why would you attack me?" He said before he sprouted a web of string at the Bagon in a form of a kiss... The kiss shaped attack was meant to engulf the mouth of the Bagon and prevent him from attacking Caterpie. With that Caterpie then began to crawl closer to Arsenic and with one fast movement attempted to strike him down with his head. "Take that! I've been working out there. Can't you tell by how hard my head it? Take that!" Caterpie said. Blitz was a bit annoyed with the Caterpie, he was intending to take out Zeus to finish off the Caterpie right now because it just simply would not shut up... What was wrong with this little bug? ::Caterpie:: Used String Shot to dodge Bite. Used Tackle on Arsenic

The Bagon felt awkward getting a mouthful of sticky webs. He stumbled for a minute slightly surprised by the feeling and disgusting taste of the webs. Arsenic snapped his mouth shut, not having made impact with the Caterpie. He scowled, momentarily disappointed in himself. <God that tastes terrible. It's as though I just made out with that creep. First the weird compliments now this?>
With the Caterpie slinking closer to attack he did not have much time to think. His training kicked in and he had to dodge. Jacob's coordination training had Arsenic posied himself to attack, awaiting Jacob's command.
The almost smooth rolls the Bagon executed pleased Jacob greatly. Since the cobwebs had covered Arsenic's mouth, there would be no commanding him to use Bite. Arsenic is a good pokemon, there is no reason to make him swallow webs. "Rage." Jacob called out, "Strong enough to knock the webs out of him."
Arsenic smirked at his trainer's sense of humor. He felt the heat and anger boiling inside him. <One day I'll be able to make this fire...> He thought with a smile. For now though he would have to settle with his abilities. He charged forth to meet the Caterpie with his head low and ready to knock the bug out.

Caterpie saw the bug coming this time using his slick head to tackle him. "Not cool bro. Don't hit me with your gelled head." But it was too late, Caterpie was hit and pushed back. "Dude, I just wanted to share some broteins with you... Why are you going to hit me" Caterpie started to ask... He was seriously starting to get on Blitz's nerves a bit... Blitz regretted choosing Caterpie as the pokemon he was planning on giving to Jacob. Anything else would have been better than this nuisance... But Caterpie decided to charge at Arsenic and lowered his head to tackle him once more. "Lets see how you like my head against your head? I've been working out too!" He said as he lowered his head to ram into Arsenic. Blitz was, so far, disappointed with how Jacob was battling this weak pokemon... But also a little encouraged that he could think on his feet and make changes so quickly. He decided to mess with Jacob a little, taunt him and make him work harder... He started to take a bit of a liking to Jacob, and began to treat him almost as a little brother. <"If you want to join Team Death you have to do much better than that... I almost killed this Caterpie after two turns, and you have already said that I am weaker than most of Team Death. If you can not even surpass me, then according to your words you have no shot of being in Team Death. We don't accept people worst than "grunts" and since you keep calling me a grunt, you better prove that you are better if you want to be noticed.">He hoped this made Jacob feel bad for calling him a grunt... He didn't like that term... Grunt... so ugly, so nasty. ::Caterpie:: Hit by Rage. Used Tackle on Arsenic

Jacob glared bitterly at Blitz. I hate that he is right. Stupid taunting. And what the hell is with this Caterpie? Why are we slacking? Jacob locked his elbows, his hands burried deep into his pockets. Perhaps I ought to have used Luthe. Her Ember would've been a quick fix. Hell be damn lucky if a few flames caught on to the Grunt.
Arsenic had made the impact with the Caterpie and quickly gained his distance. His little claws reached up and was scraping the annoying cob webs from his mouth. Yuck. This crap is so damn sticky. Almost as if on cue, he met Jacob's gaze with a surprise. They could use the webs to their advantage, but they had to act fast for the Caterpie was closing in.
Jacob tried to ignore the taunts and focus on the battle at hand. Arsenic would have to execute the next move perfectly if he were to win quickly. "Jump, hold, Bite." He barked, trying not to let the irritation slip into his voice.
Arsenic nodded, waiting the approaching Caterpie's attack. It was the third time he had ever had to perform a move set like this, making his timing a little off and his moves not nearly as elegant as in the past with the rolls. The Caterpie was a yard away now.
Jump, the small blue dragon Pokémon thought as he jumped. He landed on the Caterpie's rear and spun around awkwardly. Cling! He grabbed on to the Caterpie roughly, his hands sticky with the webs he had just wiped off. Arsenic's hold was fairly strong due to the webs. With a victorious grin Arsenic opened his mouth to bite down on the Caterpie's neck.

[OOC: Personally I have no problem with it. That is good strategising. To other mods, maybe it'd be godmodding but not me.] Caterpie was disappointed when he had missed a second tackle and he seemed to have run himself right into the trap of Arsenic and was captured in his own web. "Ah come on bro! Why are you going to trap me with my own attack? Not cool. Not browesome at all." Caterpie said before the Bagon had silenced him with a bite attack. He tried to squeak but he could mutter no sound. He began to go blank for a minute but had not yet fallen to the ground. Blitz stood there impressed with Arsenic and Jacob. He wasn't as disappointing as Blitz had originally thought he'd be. And he took criticism well. He started to get more and more respect for Jacob which could only help Jacob's case to join Team Death. Caterpie stood there, not moving but not falling to the ground. It also did not fall to the ground, instead it just held it's position there with his eyes turned white. It had not yet fainted but it seemed to have flinched from the impact of the attack... Small drops of blood fell from his neck though as Caterpie had weakened from the attack... ::Caterpie:: (Weakened) Hit by String Shot and Bite. Flinched [OOC: I just realized since this is still a member to member battle, if you win you get a Caterpie that will be level 6, while your Bagon would be level 8.5. "Finish it," Jacob called. His figure visibly relaxed. He regained his almost perfect posture and let his long hair fall over his eyes. A typical battle like this normally wouldn't have caused him to get so nervous. Must have just been the audience... He reasoned.
Arsenic was quite happy to hear the command. He wiped the webs off his claws and pinned the Caterpie down by its neck. He climb off the nuisance and too it up in his mouth by its stomach. Slowly he sunk his teeth in till he couldn't stand the taste of the bug anymore. Arsenic brutually tossed the bug pokemon at Blitz's feet with enough force to make a thud upon impact with the ground.
"You can keep the Caterpie," Jacob smirked and offered a little shrug, "I am not a fan of its attitude."

[OOC: I'll take it but that post was definitely godmodding... It's fine as I wasn't expecting to win this at all. But to warn you, that last post was super godmodding. You can not control the Caterpie or make it so your attack hit automatically. Especially since I have only used 1 dodge. Also not too impressive, if this was a real initiation test since you used all three dodges so early. Just a few things, but I'll take it for now] Caterpie had Arsenic sink his teeth into him and he finally stopped talking and stopped moving. He fell to the floor, exhausted and completely wiped out and drained from this battle. It was clearly over now... Blitz knew it, and so did Jacob and the Caterpie. He gave the kid a little more credit. <"You weren't half bad. Still not Team Death material but you are getting there.">He took back the Caterpie and returned it back to it's pokeball. So Jacob... That is your name... I'll keep that in mind for the future. He was impressed with Jacob but did not find him worthy to report back to the boss just yet. Maybe if he gets a bit stronger then he'll report Jacob to the boss. But for now, he is just another scrub interested in joining a group for power. But not yet powerful enough to assist the group in anyway. Blitz stood in the cemetery, not caring if Jacob left or not. He was done with the kid now unless Jacob had more to add... Like maybe a Bagon to his collection. But besides that, he was done. ::Caterpie:: Fainted. +1 level for Caterpie, +0.5 for Bagon (Because you are 3 levels higher)
