Snow. The white frost was everywhere. It coated trees and tombstones alike on this chilling night. Jacob stood amidst the stones in a state of remembrance. It was in this snow covered cemetery that Jacob's determination to join Team Death had originally burned bright, sinking into him more than ever.
But that was three years ago. Now his determination has left him feeling hopeless. Three whole years and if anything he was farther from being able to join than ever before.
He sighed heavily with his hands burried in his pockets. Perhaps the old saying was true, the more you chase something the farther away it seems. He snarled. He couldn't be thinking that way, he had come here to remotivate himself. After all, not all could be lost, right?
Two small canine pokemon played at his feet. The first was a young playful Growlithe. Her coat was shiny and clean, very well kept considering Jacob's travels. The gold-and-black furball was bouncing around Jacob's heels, distressed by a bullisome Poochyena who was playing perhaps a little too roughly.
This place was special to them as well. The Poochyena, Crow, had first met the other canine and Jacob here many years ago. He had began to grow fond of the fiery furball. It was at this cemetery, by this very tombstone, that Luthe, the Growlithe, and Crow had first fought.

Blitz was also here in this tombstone, not because he had any family member but rather because he found it to be a good place for him to get away from the city and everyone. It was his place to be silent and keep to himself, he was at peace here and he loved being here because it was a good solace from the real world and the rigors associated with it... He started to walk with his head down towards his very spot when, without looking, he ran into a boy who stood in the stones hoping to relive his past... It seemed. Blitz ran right into his and was pushed aside, when suddenly his TD badge dropped... This wasn't good, he would have to eliminate this boy before anything was asked. This boy could give away his secret and that was unacceptable. He would have to finish it off, so boss Syl would never find out. Blitz quickly grasped two pokeballs... One which was his Elekid, Zeus, and the other his Tangela Perseus. They were his go-to weapons and he expected to finish this boy off with them if the boy even gives him a nasty look. He was worried, the team death badge was right next to the red-orange hair boy. He slowly and creepily tried to make his way to the badge in order to pick it up before the boy noticed... But he was kind of far away. ::tdbadge:: Fell on floor near Jacob

Bump. Jacob stumbled slightly as Blitz brushed against him, bringing him back from his thoughts and into reality. Out of the curtousy that had been drilled into him from such a young age, the boy muttered a sorry to the passing person.
It was Crow that noticed the other male had dropped anything. He trotted away from his play with Luthe and sniffed the badge curiously. It smelled new, foriegn, and, of pokemon? Jacob must see this! The small black and grey wolf like pokemon stepped on his trainer's foot and let out a yipping bark.
Hmm? Jacob looked down at his pokemon with some curiousity. It was then that he noticed the purple oddly shaped object. What's this? He knelt down and picked it up, wiping some of the dirt that Crow accidently pushed onto it. His eyes grew wide with surprise, a Team Death badge??
Luthe and Crow had gathered at his heels, quite curious of Crow's findings. They were letting out tiny barks and trying to see, placing thier paws on Jacob's legs to make them taller. Great, they're going to soil another pair of pants. Jacob thought sourly, however he was far too interested in the badge to care and scold the two pups at this moment.
Who could this belong to...? Almost subconsciously Jacob looked up. Whether by accident or by intention he made eye contact with the person who had bumped him earlier. Jacob's solid brown eyes met that of a red pair. How odd...could this be his?
The stranger seemed quite...interesting to say the least. He had multi-unnatural hair colors and wore dark color clothing. I hope that is not Team Death's fashion. Otherwise they severly lack in the color department... Jacob sneered at his thoughts.
The person did not seem to be a bad person persay, Jacob just dislike the dark fashion sense. Jacob blinked realizing he was staring and judging. A bad habit, but one he wasn't planning on breaking any time soon. He ran his finger over the badge watching the stranger.
Given the fact he's staring back and holding two pokeballs...I would assume this is his badge. Which would mean he is part of Team Death. With his free hand, Jacob brushed back some lose strands of hair and weighed his options.

The worst thing that could possibly happen in the world happened right there. The person had picked up the Team Death badge and looked very interested at Blitz. Blitz only thought of the worst possible events that could possibly happen here. They ranged from getting locked up to having to deal with Syl. He did not want to deal with Syl. He had heard stories of the illustrious leader of Team Death, a person with a legendary purple pokemon that once took out four pokemon in just one blow. He did not want his team to deal with a monster like that. Or even Blaze, the enforcer who could burn down an entire gym with one of his fire pokemon... Blitz did not want to have to deal with him either... Not even Eleanor, a grunt like him, who once killed a man with her bare hands. He wanted to deal with none of these members... He started to get a little nervous and decided that it was time for him to add his legacy to the record books. He was going to forcibly take back his badge and eliminate any trace of this Jacob character. He quickly dropped both pokeballs onto the ground and from them popped Zeus and Perseus. He looked at them and shakingly commanded them to use their strongest attacks on the person, not his pokemon. <"Zeus, Thunder Shock. Perseus, Growth and Shock wave."> He was planning on having both electric attacks mix to further the impact of the attack. Zeus began to generate electric static from his body and Perseus began to grow as he began to generate electric static also... But his in the form of a blue electricity... There was enough time right now for Jacob to intervene... But he had to choose his words carefully before Blitz turned him into one of these stones. ::Tangela:: Used Growth. Ready to use Shock Wave at Jacob Better think of something quick before you get shocked...

The other trainer let a Elekid and Tangela out of the two pokeballs he had previously held. Interesting pokemon Jacob thought, oh no... He noticed the sparks starting to fly around the two pokemon.
"Woah woah woah, there's no need to attack," Jacob managed to keep calm. He kept his knees bent ready to try to leap out of the way of the attacks if need be. Jacob held his arms out in front of him trying to portray the need to stay calm and holding the small badge in front of him so that it was visible to the stranger but not able to be taken.
With the arrival of the two hostile looking pokemon, the two canine pokemon grew tense and stopped trying to look at the foriegn badge. They took a battle like position in front of their trainer, each growling slightly at the others. If it came down to a battle, they would not win for the great difference in experience. However, the two were fearless and more than willing to try.
"Is this yours?" Jacob asked caustiously. He took half a step back, clearly visible in the few inches of snow that coated the ground. He kept his hands up, keeping the badge in the other's sight.

Blitz was a little annoyed that this trainer had not yet handed back his badge and thus he decided to go through with his plan. He wasn't going to kill him, but he was going to show him why a kid should fear Team Death, not act calmly... And especially should not hold the badge in front of him and not allow the Team Death member to get it back. This kid was going to pay, but he was not a killer and thus decided to take it out on the kids Pokémon instead. He quickly said to his two Pokémon. <"Change of plans, attack the Pokémon instead."> And suddenly Zeus aimed his weak stream of lightning Crow, while Perseus aimed his at Luthe. He meant business and wanted to show this kid a lesson. [OOC: This is not a battle, no experience or anything. More of a way to shock/scare you so I get my badge back. The two attacks hit there targets with quite the effectiveness. Grant it, electricity wasn't the strongest attack against a fire or dark, but given the fact the two pups were considerably lower level than the stranger's pokemon it did a good amount of damage.
Jacob scowled. "I asked that you did not attack. I simply have a few questions regarding Team Death, then you can have your badge back and run along as anomousily as before as though this did not ever happen." Jacob's stare was cold and angered. People just did not listen did they?
"I'm not asking to try to take you down, I am far more interested in joining than defeating Team Death," His voice grew icy with annoyance. Before him the pups stood rather weakly, Luthe's gold and black fur no longer as shiny as earlier and Crow's dark fur, well darker and dirtier. Still they stood before the other trainer and his pokemon, ready to attack if the command to do so was given.
Jacob began to think over his options...it was clear that this person could easily wipe out the two canines. Most likely those two pokemon alone could wipe out most if not all his team. He bit his lip in annoyance. He dropped his hand that did not hold the badge to his side, letting the small purple metal sit in the palm of his other hand out almost oferringly.

Blitz heard the kid speak and was a little impressed... The kid had balls. He stood up against a person taller, and much tougher, than him. And he did not back down. This kid got potential... All he needed now were stronger Pokémon. The kid wasn't bad though, Luthe was shiny which meant that the kid either had a lot of money, luck, or the right connections. Blitz had been in this journey for almost two months and he has yet had himself a shiny Pokémon. He was impressed with that. The kid has poise and the kid has potential... He liked that. He looked Jacob dead in the eye and stuck out his hand to take his badge back. <"We can talk here, but first you must give me back my badge."> He gestured to Zeus and Perseus and the two got ready to attack again if Jacob did not do as he asked... <"Once I get the badge back. Then we can talk. Before then... You are still an enemy to me that I can not trust."> He snapped at the kid. He was surprised at how much he was saying to the kid, but he did needed his badge back as he did not want Syl knowing about his carelessness. And Perseus and Zeus were there, ready to attack if he did not get what he wanted. Ready to attack unless I get my badge back [OOC: At some point I should definitely see your Bagon, Cherubi, and Shiny Seedot. That way I can have more to report back to when I get to the base... Those are noteworthy pokemon.]

Jacob's eyes slanted in curiousity. It was almost like a game of cat and mouse, with one trainer having the edge over the other one moment and vice versa the next. Blitz was by far stronger when it came to pokemon, but Jacob was the one holding the badge.
"How do I know you won't take the badge then leave?" Jacob slowly knelt down, caustiously not to startle the other trainer or his pokemon into attacking again. His movements were deliberate and he was careful. He handed the badge to his Poochyena and pushed the canine forward gently.
Crow took the badge in his small mouth being very careful with it. The little wolf stepped forward about halfway between his trainer and the Team Death member. He dropped the badge on the ground and sat in the typical position for a pup of his inexperience. The other trainer would have to send a pokemon to retrieve the small badge. Crow barked once, loudly calling for the other pokemon to come forth.
Considering the boy's pokemon did not kill Crow and Luthe in one hit, they either weren't his strongest pokemon or he wasn't that high in the chain... Jacob offered a half friendly smile, trying to keep peace. "Perhaps we should start with introductions. I am Jacob, and I take it you're a grunt with Team Death. Do you have a name or is that a secret due to your profession?" Jacob's stare did not leave this other trainer; he did not bother to look at Crow. If Blitz wished, he could easily execute the two canines and their owner.
Ooc:// I think Blitz is going to have to ask to see his pokemon.

Blitz sent over Perseus to retrieve the badge, which Perseus did and returned it to Blitz. Now he felt safe and a lot less naked. He was glad to have his badge back once and for all... It was a scary thought seeing this kid have his badge for the time being. But now he had it back so he had a lot less to worry about. Hopefully Syl would not have to find out about it and everything can be okay.
Blitz then sighed and said in a quiet voice <"Jacob eh? I guess you aren't as dumb as you look."> But he did not tell Jacob his name as that was confidential business, instead he quickly changed the subject and made it about Jacob...
<"So you want to join Team Death? I hope you have better pokemon than the two you threw out there just now. The Growlithe is okay because it is shiny, but the Poochyena is pathetic."> He said with a little smirk. Technically he shouldn't be speaking as his pokemon weren't that much rarer, but they were stronger and that was the other important thing with Team Death... First was strength, then was rarity.
He then waited for the kid to respond... Hopefully he'd see something rare and maybe steal it for Team Death? Or actually have something to tell boss Syl.
[OOC: I won't actually steal your pokemon.]

Crow barked in anger at Blitz's comment. Take that back! He snarled and slowly shrunk back to Jacob's side. Still hurt, more by the other trainer's comment than by his pokemon's attacks, Crow stayed slouched in a position that expressed his hurt and also allowed him to be ready to attack if needed. It was Luthe's gentle tongue that calmed him slightly by licking him behind the ear.
Jacob noted how the other trainer had not yet given his name. No choice but to address him as Grunt now, Jacob thought, Should I risk showing him my pokemon...? There would be nothing to stop the Grunt from taking my pokemon...
I have no choice. I have been looking for Team Death for three years, I have to risk it. Jacob reached into his pockets, pulling out five pokeballs. There was a large flash of red light as Jacob dropped his pokemon as close to him as possible. Best to be safe and keep the pokemon as close as possible.
The first pokemon was Arsenic, a light blue dragon. The Bagon let out a small roar as it came forth from its pokeball. It noticed the opposing pokemon and immediately prepared for a fight, positioning himself for a battle. Secondly was Lucy. The shy Buneary saw the group of pokemon, both those of Jacob's and Blitz, and grew rather frightful. She clung to Jacob's leg mewing slightly and using him to shield herself.
Cherry, a small Cherubi, stood tall. He looked about. A battle? Immediately Cherry began considering the group's options. Alone, each of Jacob's pokemon looked far beyond capable of beating the opponent's pokemon. However, altogether...perhaps...
Fourthly, Charski a young Eletrike materalized around the other two canines. He disregarded the other two canines, finding the snowy ground to be more interesting. Lastly, an orange seedot materialized. Breeze, this shiny Seedot, was perhaps the calmest of the pokemon. Simply sitting in the chilling snow looking about for warmth.
Jacob blinked, slightly curious about the grunt's thoughts of his pokemon. His major concern was whether or not he would be able to protect his pokemon from being stolen. At least none of them were being rowdy and running rampant. For now at least...
Ooc:// Yeah I don't think I'm going to be discussing each pokemon in detail from this post onward XD

When Crow barked at Blitz and told him to take back his comments (Blitz can hear pokespeech) he simply gave Crow a dead on glare and with a little smirk on his face he said <"Make me."> Before he backed off a bit. He was glad that the small trainer had thrown down all of his pokemon, Blitz wasn't going to do the same as it wasn't a "share time" but he was glad to see what the trainer had.
The first pokemon that he saw was a Bagon. He had learned from the Headquarters of the rarity of a Bagon. He kept an interest in Arsenic simply because he knew Syl would love him if he could steal a pokemon as rare as Arsenic and return it to the headquarters... He gave it a close look before he started to scan the other pokemon.
The second pokemon was a Buneary... Not the best pokemon, and not really rare at all. He took a look at it before he simply went on to the next pokemon. The Buneary didn't even catch his attention twice, it wasn't worthy of his time at all.
The third pokemon was a small Cherubi. Well this one peaked his interest a bit. It wasn't rare but it was an uncommon pokemon. Maybe Syl or Blaze could have some use for it? He gave it a look and smiled a bit... But it wasn't a Bagon so he wasn't going to go crazy over it...
The forth pokemon was an Electrike. He didn't pay any attention at all to the pokemon, at first. But when he saw Zeus walking towards the pokemon, attracted by Electrike's electricity he became a bit more interested. Electrike wasn't really a rare pokemon, but it was a good pokemon to draw rarer electric pokemon... He would have to do more research on Electrike to find if it can do more than just draw electric pokemon to it... Maybe it can also draw electric moves to him, which would be awesome in a double battle. He quickly took out his pokeball to return his Elekid before it got too close to Jacob, he didn't like Electrike was drawing Zeus.
Then the last pokemon he saw was a shiny Seedot. Seedots were weak and very pathetic. He still remembered the Seedot he fought when he first started his journey. It teased him and threw rocks at him, until he beat it up and Perseus choked the oxygen out of the pokemon. It was the first encounter Perseus ever had to another pokemon... It has gotten much stronger since, but he would never forget that day. It was also where he met Nova, another Team Death member...
Blitz looked at Jacob again and this time he gave him a smile. <"You have some nice pokemon there. You have an ultra rare one and a few shinys. You have some promise kid... I'll keep an eye on you.">
He was genuinely interested in Jacob and then he returned Perseus and took a seat next to one of the burial spots. He gestured for Jacob to come sit next to him, without his pokemon. He was willing to talk to Jacob now after seeing some potential in this kid.
<"So what do you want to know?"> He asked Jacob as he gestured for the kid to sit down next to him. He felt very sociable today for some odd reason...

Jacob squinted slightly in distrust. He quickly returned all of his pokemon, just to be on the safe side. With the pokemon in their pokeballs he felt more at ease. Now it is time to find out more about Team Death...
Jacob took the offer to sit near by, but kept his space, leaning against a tombstone next to the Tangela. "Guess we could start with the basics. What are the requirements of joining?" Jacob kept his hands burried in his pockets, making sure to keep his pokeballs in his palm.
Questions spiralled around his head. There were so many things he was curious of, but so many he could not ask. If this guy wouldn't even give his name, why would he tell him some of the more important questions such as who was the head of the group and how to contact them.

Blitz looked at him, surprised that Jacob had not seen the signpost in the Articuno Vision. <"Have you been to Articuno Vision? There was a signpost. You had to complete the task, showing smarts and perseverance to get a chance to join Team Death... That was how I joined."> He said to Jacob. He sat next to Jacob and began to question him...
Blitz was rather new to Team Death and he wasn't exactly sure why he joined. It was more of a spur of the moment thing... This kid though, had wanted to join for three years. He was interested in why Jacob wanted to be in the team. <"Why do you want to be in the team yourself?"> He asked Jacob. He wasn't going to go further into the secrets of the organization, as he really didn't want to give anything away that would piss off Syl. But he could give the basics to get someone interested in joining...

"Haven't gone past the first city honestly. Had some...delay, sort to speak." His gaze shifted up to the grey sky, trying to avoid the stranger's gaze. It made Jacob feel awkward, especially since the Grunt had the upperhand.
Silently Jacob was battling with his insecurities. Too weak to have gone past the first city. Why the hell did I say that? I look pitiful now. He clenched his jaw trying to not show any emotions other than strength.
<"Why do you want to be in the team yourself?">
Why did he want to be in the team? Jacob had to chuckle. There are so many answers to that question. Power perhaps? No I can't just say that. It's not the truth. Well not entirely at least... He began to wonder if his motives for wanting to join were right.
As a young kid he had been stepped on constantly. Hated on for his family's wealth, treated like a good for nothing spoiled brat. But that was not the case, oh no. His family had not let him have a dime of the money. Not in actual cash at least. All of his goods had been handed through restricted access by his parents, he had to have the second best so that they could have the very beest themselves.
Filthy people. That's all that seemed to be in this world. People out for their own benefits only. They had to be eliminated if not reduced, substantially. At least with Team Death he could get the power to do so. Or try at least. No. Blitz shall not know this.
"Well that is quite personal. I don't see why I should answer that given you haven't even told me your name." Jacob snarled looking bitterly at the taller man.

Blitz looked blankly at Jacob as he was not going to relent and give up his name. He knew this would be a trap and he instead just stared blankly at Jacob with his chilling crimson red eyes. He hoped he would break Jacob and make him crack, so that Blitz would know his motives for joining. He then realized that Jacob had said he had not yet passed route 1 which made him look a bit weak. But Blitz laughed at the answer because he himself had not passed route 1 either.
Chuckling, Blitz said <"Neither have I. I just haven't thought it was time for me to leave the route yet to go to the city..."> Before he continued to gaze at Jacob without answering Jacob's first question which he kept referring back to. Blitz's name must have meant a lot to Jacob, as he kept going back to it... Blitz just gave it some thought, if Jacob would ask again then he would either leave or just give him a fake name.
He came here originally for peace and quiet anyways, and he would not be able to get that if Jacob is around... But on the other hand, he really wanted to know why this kid had waited three years to join Team Death. He was still a conflicted soul who had not given over completely to the darkness... But yet, he felt he should give in to the darkness completely. He wanted to hear why Jacob wants to join the team, and has been so adamant about it for 3 years. And that was what kept him from getting up and just walking away.
That and the fact that he still could not trust the kid at all yet. And the kid saw his badge which was not a good sign. He honestly did not know what to do, as he did not think he'd ever trust the boy... Whatever, if worst comes to worst he would just put the boy to sleep without the boy knowing it, so Jacob would just think the entire ordeal was a dream...

Jacob took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, laughing. "This is far to tense for me. Why are you here anyways?" Jacob looked at the stranger for the first time since the two sat.
Jacob nudged his head towards the Tangela. "Was that your first pokemon?" The Tangela was an interesting starter Jacob supposed. He smiled at the pokemon, remembering when he got his starter, Arsenic the Bagon. One damn lucky Ranger Station trip.
Jacob dug in his pocket slightly, pulling out a small pouch of pokemon treats. "Do you mind?" Jacob asked, suggesting to feed the Tangela. "It's nothing harmful, I know Team Death's specialty isn't trust but try to trust me on this one at least."

Blitz was hesitant to allow Perseus to take the food but Perseus himself heard his stomach growl and quickly ran up himself to take a bite of the food from Jacobs hand. There was nothing Blitz could do to stop it, it was down and he just hoped that Perseus wasn't poisoned from it. Perseus knew that Blitz cared about him deep down so he decided to play a trick on him.
"Oh no! Poison. Ahh... *Fainted*" Perseus was a bit of a drama queen... But it did do it's job. Blitz got up really quickly and clutched one of his pokeballs, the one that contained Zeus. He just thought to himself <"You will pay for this! You bastard!"> But then Perseus got up and just laughed...
Blitz was embarrassed so he decided to take a seat again. He then remembered Jacob's questions and decided to answer some of them.
<"Yes this was my first pokemon, I called him Perseus. I got him in the Ranger Station. I honestly did not know if I'd like him or not but he got along well with me from the start, I had no idea that would happen. He was also with me when I discovered that I had the ability to understand, and speak to pokemon.">
He then directed his attention to the second question... But he didn't give the response that Jacob was looking for. <"Why are you here? Cemeteries aren't places for kids to have fun. What are you doing here?">
He snapped at Jacob very quickly as he felt he was losing his advantage and quickly tried to regain it...

Jacob laughed whole heartedly as the Tangela acted overdramatically, pretending to faint at an unknown toxin. But when Blitz overreacted to it, Jacob simply raised an eyebrow, smiling almost challengingly as Blitz threatened revenge. The look on his face when Perseus stood up was priceless, making Jacob chuckle even more.
"Hey calm down Grunt, it's not a big deal. Perseus is quite a joker." Jacob put away the pokefood. "Arsenic, my Bagon, was my starter."
<"Why are you here? Cemeteries aren't places for kids to have fun. What are you doing here?">
"Just remembering," Jacob kicked up some snow with his shoe and closed his eyes with a dark smile, "Three years ago I had come here to get a Mightyena. Ended up getting Crow, the Poochyena you saw earlier. It was the first time I battled with Luthe, my Growlithe, and..." His voice kinda trailed off and his eyes fogged over slightly. "And it was here I decided I want to join Team Death."
"In short, I came to visit, perhaps renew my motivation for joining."

Blitz heard the reason why Jacob wanted to join Team Death and he thought it was a pretty good reason. It made a lot of sense, although it felt a bit cheesy. <"So that was the first time you met Crow? Must have been odd meeting a pokemon in a cemetery.">
He then decided to give Jacob something about himself... Not much but it was something as a start. <"I knew never my parents and back where I came from, I had no friends or acquaintances. I have spent my entire life alone. I thought maybe Team Death would change that...">
But then he thought about it for a second... He was a bit sad after saying that because Team Death hasn't really changed his life, he is still alone. But now he has gotten more used to it.
<"Well what really got me to join Team Death was revenge. I was fighting a Teddiursa once when suddenly a large behemoth came and attacked me. Ever since then I swore to get revenge on it. And I felt Team Death would help me accomplish that.">
He waited for Jacob's response to those replies
