Right. It was enough to make anyone scream and run in fear. Or, erm, almost anyone. Disregarding entirely that it was a dark and thoroughly moonless night, and that he could scarcely see his own hand in front of his face, Joshua wandered in without a care in the world. He almost bashed his face off the gate walking in, but it didn't take much effort to pick the lock with his pocketknife and swing it open. It made the stereotypical, terrifying creak, but to the ominous feeling, Joshua was oblivious.
Did he have a reason for coming here? Well, yes and no. He was merely here for a walk, but it wasn't that he didn't have loved ones in the place. His grandmother had been buried in the graveyard, upon her death years back. But the two had never been very close, and so he merely brushed his hand against the weathered stone, no tears shed, no emotions pulled. He did not believe in a heaven, but the boy did believe in an afterlife. His beliefs were odd ones indeed. "I hope that you're happy," he told the stone quietly, wondering what she would have said to him. "Never knew you well enough, but you never did anything to wrong me, so..."
With that note, he nodded to himself and moved on through the rows of mismatched stones and statues. He was already here, so why not take a bit of a walk? His Pokemon were all asleep in their balls, and so he was entirely alone in the cemetery. He was debating the idea of turning back when he spotted a building nearby. "Hmm..."
Approaching it, the structure appeared to be a residence of some sort, albeit a battered one, likely belonging to the keeper of the graveyard. It seemed as if the soul who dwelt here, dwelt alone. Disregarding the idea that it was currently occupied (there seemed to be no one in the bed when he peered through the window what a creeper) as the lights were shut off, he stepped up onto the weathered wooden porch and boldly tried the knob.
Locked.
Damn it. Pulling out the knife again, he attempted to pick it as he had the gate. This lock was a stubborn one, however, as it required a small key, and he had no smaller object which he could insert into the keyhole.

<Hey. Hey you. Get the HECK away from Père's place.> A little voice piped out up of nowhere, though it oddly sounded as if it was coming from the floor. A quick glance of the dusty area would've shown nothing but a raggy carpet by the front door, some cracked pots and pans, some weird little helmet by the door, and a rocking chair. It wasn't the most interesting of places, but...
<Yeah, that's right. You can't get it. And you never will. Think you're so sly, don'tcha?> The voice continued, sounding arrogant and cocky. Though really, all it was was a bit prideful of the master of the area. Maybe it wasn't in Joshua's best interest to continue?
Note: Mods don't mod here. But this is an NPC so that's why I'm using it. [/center]

He spun around rapidly, gripping the knife as tight as humanely possible just in case he'd need to use it.
No one there.
Alright, now even Josh was beginning to notice just how sinister and grim the cemetery looked at night. Congratulations, disembodied voice, you've managed to get a reaction. He calmed down and relaxed a little on the surface, but his heart was hammering against his chest, and his slate-colored eyes had widened slightly. "Who was that?" he demanded roughly, relieved that his voice, at least, didn't betray him. It was flat, save for the color of irritation that flooded it. If it was anything to reflect how he felt, it might have trembled a little.
Now, if he could see the mystery opponent, he'd feel a lot less afraid. But he'd always feared the unknown. He didn't deal well with things he couldn't see. Glancing around, he saw only the normal porch items, and some odd helmet thing. Nothing out of the ordinary, right? Certainly no people.
Whatever the case, the voice had certainly distracted him from his desire to break in. Congrats...?

<Good you stopped. Ya jerk. You listen to your elders.> The voice sounded more peaceful this time, but then one of the items began to rattle. Could it be...a ghost? Actually, it was the weird knight's helmet that was all rusted in the corner. The strange item actually scuttled across the porch, nearly colliding into Joshua's feet. However, he sensed the human's presence and flipped open the lid, revealing the face within the helmet. So...what was this thing? <I think its best you return to the cemetery. This house is no place for trespassers.> The Chobomaki warned, glaring right up at Joshua's knees. Well, his head was pretty high up, and his body was rather heavy.[/sup]

"Woah!" Joshua exclaimed in surprise, jumping back before it clattered into him. However, it seemed to have noted his presence, anyways, seeing as it had stopped right in front of where he'd been seconds previous. But there was still the question of what the hell it was, because in his entire life, nevermind just as a trainer, he'd never seen a walking (scuttling?) talking helmet.
It appeared, however, to be a Pokemon. He blinked at it, obviously astonished into a lack of speech. The thing told him, in a sense, to get lost, and Joshua instinctively took a step backward off the porch. Not knowing what sort of Pokemon this was meant not knowing how strong it was, and his team were most definitely not fit for a battle.
"Uh, yeah. I'll do that."
Eager to get as far away as possible from the creepy, weird helmet-thing, Joshua backed the rest of the way off the porch and headed slowly toward a different part of the cemetery. He wasn't the panicky type that could be goaded into running away, but that thing had been freaking creepy.

Dougie honestly didn't know why he was there. He didn't have any family in the cemetery and couldn't think of anyone else who he knew that might lay dead there. Hands deep within the confines of his pocket he whipped his blond and black hair out of his eyes and glanced to the sky. Cloudy and it seemed cold enough to the 21 year old that it might snow. Fuck that luck.
Giving an involuntary shiver he lowered his head back to looking down the path and continued kicking small rocks that lay on the path. Brown eyes lingered on some of the graves and too be honest, Dougie was a little put off. This place was rather depressing now that he thought about it. Why did he even enter? Oh right, because the gate was open and he was curious as to why. The times said that the place was closed didn't it?
Now he was no good Semaritian but if he found someone trespassing maybe they could be a good future recruit for TD? Might as well keep a look out for new members even if he was only a grunt right?
Pausing when he saw a figure in the distance, he squinted his brown eyes only to grin. It was Josh. Oh Josh, Josh, Josh. Already a TD member and one hell of a battler to be honest. They had a pretty good run through the power plant before they were over ran. Good times? They didn't really talk much but maybe it'll do.
Approaching casually he waved, though he wasn't sure the other male saw it, and called out, "Hey Josh."
