The two Zigzagoon broke apart as they nearly ran into the trainer. The younger was flung sideways and skidded along the route, whereas the older ended up in a dusty heap before the trainer. <Woah,> the younger of the two said dizzily as he staggered back to his feet and stumbled back toward his companion. <Dude, that was--hey, who's this guy?> He tipped his head and stared at the Growlithe, frowning slightly as he did so. He didn't quite know what to think of the other Pokemon.
<Well maybe your trainer should have been watching where they were going,> the younger and more reckless of the pair suggested, unhappy with the idea that they were being snapped at for mere playing. He was having fun with his brother and he really wasn't going to stand for being ordered around or barked at by some stupid dog.
The older winced. <I'm sorry,> he said to Blaze. <He tends to be a little rash. We really didn't mean to get in your trainer's way.> He shot a meaningful glance toward his younger brother, trying to hint at him that a battle wasn't the first thing on his mind right now.

Blaze was unhappy with the younger of the two brothers. No manners, stupid, and foul mouthed. As the younger of the two talked back to him, suddenly blaming the problem on Ruby, he had hit a nerve and Blaze shot a mean look at him. When the older Zigzagoon spoke up though, apologizing for himself and his brother Blaze took a deep breath and exhaled. <And maybe I was a little rash and yelled a little too quickly. I’m sorry.> Blaze bowed his head to the older sibling in respect.
<Just next time make sure you don’t get yourself or others hurt. Especially yourselves or siblings, I doubt that’s the last thing you would want.>

The older sibling didn't want to jump down the Growlith's throat, but he clearly had something that he wanted to say. But he waited until the fire type had finished speaking his piece. The young one didn't want to hear what the fire type had to say. He was growling under his breath and digging his claws into the dirt. This was the last place his wanted to be. But unfortunately his wiser brother had decided to step on his brother's tail when he wasn't looking and was putting a lot of pressure on it... just a nice little reminder for his brother to behave himself. Finally the older one started speaking again. "You acted just as you should... protecting you trainer is a valiant gesture. You're like... like a knight!" He assured the dog that he had done nothing wrong, nothing the Zigzagoon wouldn't have done himself. The younger one snarled and suddenly turned, trying to bite his brother. The older one was not hit, but he did have to leap away so he wouldn't get bitten. The younger brother was released and in his anger, just to spite his brother, he vanished into the bushes with an angry growl.
Older brother sighed and plopped his butt down on the ground. "Oh dear... I wonder how long he'll last on his own..." He said, almost jokingly.

Blaze felt a little bad to make the younger as mad as her was. Maybe if he didn’t go off on him like he had, maybe there wouldn’t have been an argument and everyone would have been happy and on their ways. Blaze could also feel some tension in the older Zigzagoons voice but he seemed to have been biting his tongue for some time now. Maybe to make Blaze move on faster, or maybe to make him feel better about himself? Either way, he seemed to be hitting a nerve with both of the hyper pokemon.
As the younger brother began to get infuriated, he attempted to attack his sibling and dart off into the bushes as an escape. Now Blaze really felt bad. The best way to make up to the older brother at the moment was to help him find his sibling, and it was the best way for Blaze to feel a little better on making him run away. <I….I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to go off on either of you and I certainly did not mean to make him run off. I’m sorry, I was in a bad mood. I’ll help you find your brother if it means anything to you.> The Growlithe said to the older sibling with his head down slightly

The older brother seemed hesitant at first. <No, really, I don't want to be a burden to anyone,> he said. He hated feeling like he had to rely on others for help. His older brother had always been the dominant one, the one that took charge of situations and got things done (and, clearly, got them into trouble just as often). The elder brother had never really been faced with a situation where he'd had to ask for help. His younger sibling had never allowed him to ask for help.
A nervous laugh brushed past his lips. <But I... I would appreciate... if I were able to locate him...> He sounded sheepish as he ducked his head and looked away. Oh dear, this was more embarrassing than he'd thought it would be. Why had that silly pup gone and run off anyway? They would have been fine if he hadn't gotten so butthurt and fled into the bushes. <Brother, come back!> Zigzagoon tried experimentally, sounding almost hopeful.
<NO!>
The loud answering call came from somewhere far off and into the trees that surrounded the route. Zigzagoon doubted he could find his brother all on his own. Wincing, he turned back to the trainer and her Pokemon. <Erm, about getting your help...>

The Zigzagoon seemed hesitant at first to ask for his help. Maybe he wanted to show he could do it on his own? Maybe he was just too shy to ask? Blaze just watched as he slowly changed his mind about the subject. <Oh no, you’re not going to be a burden. And besides, I’ve already caused so much trouble so the least I can do is help find your brother.>
<Brother come back!>
<NO!>
Blaze really seemed to have hit a nerve. He ducked his head as the younger brother responded madly with a bold “No” He had really done it this time. Blaze wanted to help find the brother, but even with that he wasn’t sure what he would say to the Zigzagoon or how to make it up to him. Quite frankly, he wasn’t sure what he would do after he found him. <You would like my help? Like I said, that’s no problem.> Blaze trotted towards the bush the Zigzagoon ran into, ready to run after him and find him quickly. If all went well, they would find the sibling soon, would make up and then be on their merry way. <Come on, are you ready to find him?>

Blaze tried to reassure him that he was no burden, but Zigzagoon wasn't too convinced. This Pokemon and its trainer probably wanted to keep going on down the route and he and his brother had gotten in their way and messed up their plan. But he really was worried about his young sibling, even though his brother had always been the more dominant and natural leader of the two. <Well I suppose...>
He shook his head a little in order to clear it. How stupid was he being right now? Blaze was offering to help him find his brother and he was refusing the help like a fool! What if he could never find the other Pokemon on his own? He'd be eaten by guilt for the rest of his life. So this time when the trained Pokemon continued to insist, Zigzagoon dipped his head a little and chuckled. <I guess I could use the help,> he admitted, trying to maintain some of his dignity as well.
The Growlithe started forward and then posed a question. <I suppose I'm ready, yeah,> the older and dorkier of two siblings agreed. He trotted after the Fire-type into the bushes, continuing on. It was then that he heard the sound of growling and fighting--oh dear! Was his brother in trouble. <Erm, I'll go see what's wrong,> the elder insisted with a wince. <I don't want to drag you into this!>

Zigagoon seemed to be uneasy still. Something was on his mind, but he seemed to had gotten past it after some time. He shook his head and that seemed to be it. Maybe he was just being shy, because as he ducked his head to accept his help it just seemed like he was shy. <Hahaha, don’t be hesitant, I’m not as you can see.> Blaze was trying to be open with him, a little more caring. Maybe he and the two brothers just got off on the wrong foot, and maybe he could make it up to the both of them, who knew.
As he neared the bush, Blaze heard something. Growling, maybe even fighting. Something was wrong and he could feel it but the older brother rushed past him.
I don’t want to drag you into this!
<So… What do I do?> Blaze thought to himself for a moment, before deciding to run after him. <I have a bad feeling about this.>
“Wait, Blaze, where are you going!?” Rebecca followed right behind him, clueless of the situation.

[To make it easier on anyone modding, we can just assume that the younger one won't attack xD]
Whether or not it had been a good idea to pursue the older Zigzagoon remained to be seen--the two would burst into a small clearing to come upon a most troubling scene. The younger Zigzagoon was crouched close to the ground with fur bristling and loud snarling issuing from him, cornered by what appeared to be a very irate bird.
<You could have killed them! KILLED!> The bird was quite literally shrieking, the older Zigzagoon wincing as the sound assaulted his sensitive ears. His younger brother didn't seem to be quite so intimidated. He certainly stayed crouched low, but even the awful cawing didn't stop him from replying, <I never killed nothing, your kids should've been watching where they were going!>
The problem appeared to be with the fact that his brother had unbalanced a nest in the branches overhead. It had luckily been snagged in some lower limbs and thus the baby Spearow had not plummeted to their deaths, but Momma Bird didn't seem to care that they had survived, only that there had been a chance of fatality.
<Hey, stop, he didn't mean to-->
Spearow had no patience for the older Zigzagoon's protests, diving toward the younger brother with another deafening shriek and pecking furiously at him. Pressed close to the ground and unsure of where to run, the Pokemon could not avoid the attack. His older brother snarled, but hesitated.
<She's too strong to face on our own! Should we team up and take her?> He was starting to feel a little more relieved that Blaze had decided to follow after all, but still guilty that he had dragged an outsider into his brother's mess.

Ruby was right behind Blaze as he jumped through the bushes. She saw the other Zigzagoon from before being attacked by a Spearow. Obviously it was in trouble. If Rebecca didn’t know any better, she thought that Blaze rushed back here to help the other brother and judging by how her Growlithe and the other Zigzagoon looked, she was probably right. The Spearow pecked at the younger Zigzagoon, but obviously could not put up a fight to protect himself. “Blaze, use roar and get that bird to run home crying!” Blaze had no problem with that. He jumped in front of the older Zigzagoon and let out a blood curdling roar. Coming from such a small pokemon, Rebecca was still surprised how loud the roar was. Just as he finished his attack, Blaze turned around. <I think we just might have to team up, if she doesn’t leave.> He had no problem trying to help either one of the two, and his fighting spirit showed in his voice. ~Used roar on Spearow in attempt to make it flee.

Level 4|Male Pick Up + Gluttony Tackle|Growl|Tail Whip Personality: Younger and more reckless, this Zigzagoon plays very rough and tends to get into trouble. The motherly Spearow flipped out at the roar. The Growlithe was frightening in ways the Zigzagoons could only dream of being! She flapped her wings recklessly, trying to get back up to her nest as rapidly as she could. She landed on her children and nestled herself over them protectively, wrapping her wings around them. Although she was still in sight and visible, for all intents and purposes she had fled the scene and likely would not both them again.
The younger brother looked ready to flee at the roar attack as well, until his older brother stepped on his tail again and dragged him on his butt closer to him. "I was worried!" The younger one snapped his jaws angrily, but the older one didn't fall for the same trick twice. He looked over at Ruby and Blaze. "Thank you."
The younger one wasn't appreciative. "I could of handled it myself..."

Thank you
Well, that was a good start to repairing relations between the two brothers. The older one was thanking him for helping his brother. However, as much as Blaze wished for the younger one to be happy, he was sadly disappointed. The younger brother simply brushed him off, saying he could have taken her on himself. Blaze gave a disappointed frown, he was obviously not happy about the results.

The older brother sensed the disappointed frown from the Growlithe, and he looked at his brother with a worried look. He was young, but they were still around the same age. He liked to call himself the most mature of the pair, and something felt off about this situation. They owed these guys something, though he wasn’t sure what they could give them. Trainers collected Pokemon, but he wasn’t so keen on leaving his brother behind in the dirt. Especially when their father happened to have some health problems, and he didn’t like to leave him alone for long.
<Hey, what’s that in your fur?> Something yellow and orange caught the older one’s eye in the younger’s shaggy fur, and he pawed it out of there. The little one was squirming uncomfortably, but he wasn’t putting up a fight to stop him. <It’s just something I picked up…it’s a habit.> He grumbled, looking nervously to the side. It appeared to be a potion of some kind, and it was full. Neither of them knew how to use it, so the older one saw it fit to give it to the human.
<Here, you can have this. I’ve seen people use them on Pokemon before, but they were a different color.> The older one took the liberty of clearing things up with a parting gift, before nosing his brother to leave with them. They were probably going to play closer to the den, where there would be less trouble.
