At long last she was finally in Electric City, although it did take a considerable amount of time longer than the trainer initially thought. By now the sky had turned black, sending day spiraling into night, and bellowed in anger. It was already sprinkling when she approached the city but now it was a full-fledged downpour. The weather was strangely fitting for her first day in, almost as if it was part of the city itself.
Nevertheless, now was not the time to muse over such things. Her pokemon, or rather what was left of them, were far from healthy which forced her to make a quick stop at the Pokecenter before continuing on. It took a few minutes to get them all back and soon Claribel was back out in the storm. The only problem she faced right off was the fact that she was without anything to shield her from the onslaught of rain. It was a bother seeing that her hair would be a tangled mess later on but she opted out for taking shelter inside one of the buildings. Instead she meandered through the streets of Ile Electrique occasionally peering down different streets as she passed by to better help herself get to know the area.

::diglett:: Female / Level 9 Attacks: Scratch / Sand-Attack / Growl / Astonish Personality: Prankster, Troublemaker, Not a fan of authority "Shhhh..shhhhhhh! Just pop up when you feel her walking over you!" A few voices were coming from the street below. They clearly had some sort of plan that was going to involve popping up from below the ground. Of course only someone who heard that plan would know it was going to happen. And on cue one of the Diglett popped above ground, trying to trip up the trainer. As she appeared she was giggling hysterically, laughing long before she knew if her trick worked or not. "Diglett!" She shouted out her own name. From below ground more diglett joined in the chanting, it was unknown how many more were down there. "Welcome to the Electric City!" She greeted the trainer with a wide smile.

The Diglett couldn't of had better timing. The moment she broke through the ground Claribel had little time to react, plummeting to the ground in a sloppy manner as she tried to regain her balance. She landed on her hands and knees beside the little ground-type who, despite the unfortunate series of events that led to the trainer receiving multiple minor, yet painful, scrapes along her palms, seemed rather joyful about everything. It annoyed Claribel almost to the point of stomping on it like those children games with the mallet and stuffed toy pokemon heads, but then again the burning ache of her palms were wearing down on her nerves.
"Stupid, idiotic..." she trailed off as she muttered a few light insults under her breath. She got to her feet, brushed herself off and proceeded to walk around the Diglett. She wanted to just walk off and leave it sitting there yet, at the same time, wanted to use her own pokemon to beat it back into the earth from whence it came. Grabbing her Taillow's pokeball, she let her out between her and Diglett. The bird was far from pleased once she realized she was just set out in the middle of a thunderstorm, seeing that lightning was one of the few things she absolutely hated about the world, and muttered a few curses of her own. Claribel decided to let the wild pokemon choose its fate.

Female / Level 9 Attacks: Scratch / Sand-Attack / Growl / Astonish Personality: Prankster, Troublemaker, Not a fan of authority sand attack on taillow She wasn't going to back down. That much would be clear in the few seconds after the Taillow appeared. She stuck her tongue out at the flying type and spun around once in her hole. "Hey! It's one of those poke'mon who lives inside of a ball!" She shouted out with a laugh. She dove below the surface and came up closer to the flying type, purposefully flinging sand at the Taillow. "Betcha miss being free! No one to tie you down or command you!" She wasn't as playful as before. Her disdain of trainers overrode her fun free-spirit attitude.

Diglett's words struck a nerve with Liat. She quickly puffed her feathers up in a sign of frustration rather than to make herself appear larger. <I'd rather be stuck in that trap than forever stuck in-> she started only to be smacked in the face with stinging sand, cutting her response short. The rain, although not as heavy as earlier, mixed with the sand to create a sticky mess that caked on Liat's feathers.
The bird flapped her wings to try to shake off all she could but in the end she could only free her feathers of a small portion. Infuriated, Liat wanted nothing else than to tear into the Diglett. From behind she could hear Claribel tell her to attack using the moves Focus Energy and Quick Attack. She truly despised her trainer, if solely for the fact that she would forever be under her control, yet went ahead with the attack. First she gathered her energy focusing on what needed to be done before launching herself at the ground pokemon. Whether her opponent saw this as a pure symbol of Liat's willingness to follow Claribel's orders or not, the Taillow was far from doing this just because she was told to. She was doing this for herself, although her intentions may have been invisible to all others.

Female / Level 9 Attacks: Scratch / Sand-Attack / Growl / Astonish Personality: Prankster, Troublemaker, Not a fan of authority hit with quick attack (CH) used scratch She couldn't help but start laughing uncontrollably. Wonder how that sand tasted? However Karma was a total bitch and came around to bite her now two seconds later. Because she was laughing and not paying attention at all her face was suddenly acquainted with the body and beak of Liat. The Quick Attack was a critical hit and a huge bump was forming on the Diglett's head. Below ground the other Diglett were laughing and creating a chorus of giggles above ground. The one fighting narrowed her eyes and launched a scratch attack on the Taillow while it was near to the ground. Use your imagination for how Diglett would scratch anything. Maybe she had teeth or something. She was a tenacious little thing and would find a way.

Content with the harm she had done to her foe Liat hopped back over to her trainer's feet, awaiting the feeling of being sucked back into her prison. Now that she had her back turned, the bird pokemon had no time to prepare herself to dodge the attack. She could feel a sharp almost scraping-like feeling run down the length of her back. Whatever the Diglett used to scratch her with left her staring at the multiple feathers torn out that covered the ground around her feet. First was the Diglett's mocking jokes, now her precious feathers. Oh and the giggling! That obnoxious giggling just added on to the many annoyances Liat was facing.
"Now, Growl and Peck!" Claribel ordered. Whipping around, the taillow glared at the pokemon. She was far from happy about her current predicament yet couldn't help but find some happiness from thinking about Diglett writhing in pain brought on by Liat's beak and talons. The bird opened her beak to let a rather loud yet not too terrifying chirp escape before charging at the Mole pokemon with her beak, almost acting like a lance of sorts.

Female / Level 9 Attacks: Scratch / Sand-Attack / Growl / Astonish Personality: Prankster, Troublemaker, Not a fan of authority hit with growl & peck used scratch & growl She winced each time the Taillow's lance-like beak hit her on the head. She shrunk part of the way back into the ground and wallowed in pain there for a few moments. The other underground Diglett whispered something to her and they all seemed to push her back above the ground, literally shoving her towards the Taillow. She used growl, not directly at the Taillow but just in general... but if Liat happened to be paying attention and was affected by it... all the better for Diglett! She concluded with another mysterious scratch attack, a flurry of sand and dirt in the air obscuring the battle and preventing anyone from really seeing how she used scratch when she had no limbs to speak of.

For the brief few moments Diglett concealed herself underground, Liat believed this was over. However, upon hearing the horrendous noise it made followed by the same scraping feeling from earlier she knew it was far from over. And just when shew as about to rid her once perfect feathers from the irritating sand! All it did was weigh her down and prevented her from using her speed as an advantage.
Claribel was surprised by the persistence of the wild pokemon, almost to the point of wanting it on her team although its use would be far from satisfying. "Just use Quick Attack, Liat," she said. Her voice wasn't as hard and demanding as it normally was, hinting that she had worn it out to the point of completely losing it. Her Taillow could barely hear her voice underneath the noise of her violently tossing her feathers in annoyance. Nevertheless, she was able to hear the words "quick" and "attack" and went ahead with the move.

She commented, trying to duck back into her hole to hide from the quick attack. She wasn't quick enough. The Taillow buzzed the top of her round head, dragging her backwards a little bit and managing to bruise up one of her eyes. "Watch it!" She shouted, tears welling up in her eyes. With a look of fierce determination in her swollen eyes she blasted a beam of sand and dirt towards the Taillow, using another sand-attack in an attempt to ruin her accuracy.

The annoying voice of the Diglett was wearing her down each time it spoke up. The bird just wished it, along with its friends, would just shut up already. In the middle of her brief angry thoughts, the ground type pelted her with more sand, and just when she was nearly free of the sand from earlier! It wore her down causing her to become less able to aim. Such a bother this Diglett was!
Claribel's voice rang out once more, barely audible over the last rumble of thunder the clouds held inside, "Peck again!" She hated to have to yell in the middle of the city and draw needless attention to herself. Luckily it didn't seem like too many people were out and about, though it was just storming. She looked away from the empty streets and back at the two pokemon battling it out just in time to see Liat rush forward, beak ready for impact.

That should teach that stupid bird for messing with her in the first place. Although, the sand should keep the bird from attacking her in the first place or at least missing and hitting herself. (with luck) The Diglett was of course not paying any attention to what was happening though, talking to herself and trying to think of all the bad things that could happen to the bird- when out of no where, she was hit with a peck. It pushed the Diglett back into the ground. After a few moments, she popped back up, only for anime-like swirls to take place of her eyes. Looks like she has fainted...

Finally it seemed the battle was over. With the final blow dealt by Liat's sharp beak, the Diglett popped back up unconscious. The bird gave a short nod and puffed herself up out of pride in her victory. Although she didn't have any time to silently celebrate as Claribel returned her quickly and without any notice. At least she could curse her as well as the whole world out from the safety of the disgusting pokeball.
The trainer went ahead without giving any thought about catching the wild pokemon. With the rain still coming down, but without the bright flashes of lightning, she hoped she wouldn't have to wait too long to come across another pokemon.

::lillipup:: Level 13 / Female Attacks / leer, tackle, odor sleuth, bite, helping hand Personality / carefree, playful, childish A small brownish dog was playing in the deepening puddles. She was jumping around and flopping down into the wet puddle. She clearly had no problems with the rain falling down around her, on her, and she didn't mind that she was getting muddier and muddier each time she leapt into the puddle. She didn't notice the female trainer coming down the street, and would continue to jump around and play, possibly splashing mud onto the trainer. Of course you could also try to get her attention and not get hit with mud, or just walk around and way; ignoring her completely. She certainly wouldn't care.

It wasn't hard to spot the Lillipup as it was with Diglett. It wasn't lurking below her feet waiting to trip her. Instead it bounced around in the mud puddle, getting filthier by the second. It was a cute little pokemon although it wouldn't really fit in with the rest of her team, even if its evolved forms could be of some use if any at all. The Lillipup just came off as a pokemon a young child would be caught playing with, not someone like Claribel. That, however, didn't mean she was just going to leave it be.
She pulled out a shiny pokeball, obviously one that hasn't been used to the point of it losing its luster, and tossed it in front of her. The nidoran she had recently hatched emerged in the characteristic glittering light. He shook his head and swiveled his over sized ears, listening to the unknown sounds of the city. He spotted the Lillipup not far away and begun to bounce over to it before he suddenly froze to listen to his trainer's voice. "Focus Energy, no physical attacks for now," she said to him.
Although he listened to her, Dorian had no idea what he was doing. He was just a newborn after all and this was his first battle. The only thing he thought was going to happen was a friendly game of tag or another fun little playtime game, not an actual battle.

<Haha, you want to play too?> The Lillipup asked when she saw the baby Nidoran walk up to her, standing there with this focused look. She wagged her tail and jumped from side in the mud grinning with those short but sharp teeth barred at the poison type. She was able to note the cold looking trainer standing right behind him, and she kind of understood what was going on.
<Oh, is this battle time? Ok kid, you came to the right kid. First you gotta crouch down like this.> She crept lower to the ground, moving a bit closer to the Nidoran with a sneaky look. Her tail was wagging furiously the entire time; her playfulness was entirely intoxicating.
<Now once you're ready, low to the ground, hard to hit...then the crowd cheers!> She jumped into the air, using a very useless Helping Hand on herself. She barked and spun around in circles as some of the rain rinsed off the mud on her body.

Dorian nodded as he listened to the normal type and his ears twitched in excitement at each word she said. He still wasn't too sure about this whole battle thing but judging the Lillipup's reaction to it, it couldn't be that bad. He crouched down, mimicking her demonstration, and looked at her questionably. The nidoran had forgotten what came next but was stopped from asking by Claribel's voice.
"Now leer and poison tail," she said. Dorian thought for a moment and brought himself off the ground and into a sitting position. <Leer, leer, leeer,> he thought. He wasn't sure what that meant but it did sound like peer. That meant something like staring, right? He wasn't entirely sure but decided to give it a shot anyways.
He resumed the position and looked at the Lillipup intently. He held his gaze for a few moments before he softened it and moved on to the next attack. <Poison tail?> the young pokemon asked himself. He was aware of the fact that his tail was pretty much useless to do any harm. The poison pin pokemon chose to substitute his tail with the multiple spines on his back. That would work, right? He jumped up, propelling himself towards his foe, angling his body so the spikes that were now prepped with poison should be able to make contact with the Lillipup, if they made any contact at all.

Level 13 / Female Abilities / Pickup, Vital Spirit Attacks / leer, tackle, odor sleuth, bite, helping hand Personality / carefree, playful, childish Used Leer and Bite on Nidoran
<Oh, oh! Are we playing a new game? Huh? HUH?> The small dog shrieked when the Nidoran started staring at her. She didn't know it was leer and that the attack lowered her defense. No, she didn't care about that. This guy came up with a new game! That's fantastic!! < Are we having a staring contest? I'm warning you, I'm gonna beat you!>
The Lillipup's eyes widened as she started stare into the poison type's eyes and, unbeknownst to her, the normal type used leer too. The puppy was panting heavily, her whole body shaking with excitement. She was wagging her so fastly, it was almost impossible for the human eye to follow.
Suddenly, the Nidoran jumped towards the terrier, crashing the spikes on his back into the Lillipup's face. <Hey, that's cheating! It's unfair to attack!> The mutt barked at the poison pin pokémon. He was obviously cheating! She'll show this guy how to play fairly!
The puppy sprang forward, her teeth bared and tried to bite the Nidoran. She won't let this cheater get away with some minor damages. She'll mop the floor with him!

Dorian felt the Lillipup's small, sharp teeth pierce his skin sending pain throughout his body. Once free of her grip, he bounced back to Claribel's feet with a slight limp and away from the dog. He didn't like this whole battling thing and couldn't see why he had to do it in the first place. Then again this was his first time ever battling which left him at a disadvantage against more seasoned pokemon.
Claribel felt little compassion for her pokemon. She wasn't about to baby it just because it experienced something unfavorable. She believed things like that ruined pokemon in the long run. Dorian would just have to suck it up and keep going whether he wanted to or not. "Okay, now use Double Kick," she ordered, gently nudging the nidoran with her foot.
The poison pokemon turned around to face the Lillipup again. Hesitantly he ran forward, still a little sore from the bite injury. Thankfully the move wasn't too hard to figure out. Once he was within range, Dorian jumped up, twisted his body around, and lashed out at his foe with his back feet.

Level 13 / Female Abilities / Pickup, Vital Spirit Attacks / leer, tackle, odor sleuth, bite, helping hand Personality / carefree, playful, childish POISONED hit with double kick - SE used leer & tackle
The small dog recoiled from her previous bite attack with her tongue rolling out of her mouth and her gums swelling up. Evidently she'd struck the wrong part of the Nidoran, and a small dose of poison entered her body through her mouth. It ran rampant through her body and began the deadly process of stealing her energy away. She was also unable to get her swollen tongue back into her mouth. "uhpf ohpf..." She mumbled, trying to turn and get out of the way of the double kick. But both kicks landed, one on the back of her head and the other on her side. This game wasn't terribly fun. She glared at the trainer, but also leered at the Nidoran. SOOOO not fun. With her feelings out in the open she ran foreword for a tackle attack, she didn't feel up for another bite attack with her mouth all swollen.
