Name: Kazumi Binnie
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Appearance: Kazumi is a very petite girl, not one really to be called overly skinny, or overly fat, even though she does occasionally call her little podge on her stomach "fat". Ami was born with long, brown hair that she flips the bangs over a bit to the left side, not to hide her brown eyes, but to be by her eyes. She stands about five foot, six and wears a black, short sleeved, "Charmander" shirt and a pair of blue jeans with an open hole on the right knee. Ami wears six rainbow bead bracelets on her left arm that she's always wore to bring herself good luck. The bracelets match a silver, moon necklace held by a silver chain; with rainbow stud earrings and a metallic tongue ring. Ami rocks out in the purple socks and white sneakers with black and pink stars all over them with black shoe laces tied in a criss-cross overlapping motion and then tucked under the lip because Ami doesn't care to tie them. Besides her outfit and what she looks like from the blueprints of birth, Ami doesn't care to wear much makeup but, she does enjoy black eyeliner to bring out her eyes more and mascara just for fun, along with the glittery cherry flavored lip gloss.
Background: Every wondered what it would be like to not understand anything anymore? Gamblers, Kazumi's parents decided to run away, to gamble all of their money... and never come back. Kazumi was left alone, but faithfully, her Grandmother came into the picture and brought her into a new kind of world.. something slower.
Rainbows, candy, sugar free ice cream, and Poke'dolls were all Kazumi could ever see anymore. Sometimes, she would go outside, and catch a glimpse of a Pidgey or two flying away, only wishing she could do the same to this boring life. "You're Weird" they would tell her, only because in stead of playing basketball or soccer, she would sit in a tree and make rainbow bead bracelets. She knew nothing more but to love the rainbow and all the colors it held; who wouldn't love this?
Sixteen, an age of redemption, and age where Kazumi could finally do things on her own, besides her Grandmother was much too old to even stop her. Raves, parties, bright lights, glow sticks, fire and colors; Kazumi loved it all and mastered the technique of every dance move possible, to withstand the heat and the fast pace.
Pokemon, now that was something new. A year went by after Kazumi decided to learn how to rave and she decided to see what Pokémon really were. She read books, and compared some raving to how they battled; falling in love with the idea of having her own.
A Journey, something new nonetheless. Kazumi decided it was her turn to get out there, and show everyone she could do something else. "Grandmother! I'm Leaving"
Kazumi yelled goodbye, grabbing her black bag, swinging it on her shoulders and heading for the door. "okay Kazumi..."
Her Grandmother called back from the kitchen. Kazumi sighed and stopped at the door, looking out into the world. It was time for something new... that means you had to start new and Kazumi..wanted that more then ever. "Goodbye.."
She said quietly, before walking out the door.
Personality: Kazumi believes she is very odd, and likes to behave and or dress in a shocking manner. While being drawn to artistic and cutting edge industries she wants to be as independent from society as possible and likes to look weird; being self expressive. Most people think she is crazy, and desires autonomy or complete freedom. She frequently reinvents herself, and tends to be unpredictable; more random than controlled. Kazumi is more abstract than concrete because she grew up feeling that she had to stand out to be happy, to find pure bliss. She is attracted to the counter culture, and is dissatisfied with the ordinary and non dramatic while pursuing in the extraordinary and intense. Kazumi prefers weird friends and thinks they are a trend setter. She tried to live an experimental life only due to the fact she is driven by curiosity and tends to be reckless, and novelty seeking. Yes, Kazumi is quiet the wild child but, she can get very serious if she puts her mind to something. She can be a devoted, straight forward girl that would do almost about anything to be successful in whatever goal she puts herself to in a challenge heart.
Info: Kazumi carries a black backpack with a bead set for bracelets and glow sticks that snap into bracelets and necklaces in all colors.
Example of your literacy:
"You can't do this every time you perform, you know!"
That's what Anthony had said. What had he meant? Was it a hint? Of course it wasn't. Get a grip. But it could have been...
"I'll hope to see you soon." What did Alan mean by that? Was he just being polite? Or is there more to it than that...?
My mind was spinning all over the place. It had been three weeks. Three agonizing, painfully slow weeks. When were they going to ring? I needed to know. The suspense was killing me. What if I didn't get in? It was something I had worried about with every stage of the auditions. I mean, what do you exactly say when they tell you you haven't got in? Don't think like that. Think positive. Positive thoughts...
*Ring, ring* What the... *Ring, ring*
Oh my god, the phone! I quickly got up from my computer chair in my room and practically leaped out of the room. No ring. No! Whoever it was must have stopped ringing. "Katie May, it's for you!" my mum shouted up the stairs. Crap crap crap crap crap.
"Hello?" I said as I answered the phone. "Hi Katie May, it's Gwen,"
she said slowly. "Oh, hi," I replied. Nerves and excitement ran through my veins, causing my heart to speed up. This was it. The final two. Had I made it? Was I one step closer to achieving my dream? "...so I'll hope to see you then," Gwen said.
Wait a sec...I'd been so busy daydreaming I'd missed everything she'd said. "What?" I asked. "You're one of the final two," she repeated. My eyes widened in disbelief. Me, in the top 2? It couldn't be happening. It wasn't real. I couldn't believe my ears. They thought I was good enough! A massive smile spread across my face. I thanked Gwen before saying goodbye and putting the phone down. She'd be sending me more information in the post. But all the information I needed was that I was in. I'd made it.
Late up for school again. I practically ran round to Rebecca's after getting ready at top speed. "Guess what???" I burst out as soon as I saw her. "I'm in the final two!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "That's great,"
Rebecca beamed, giving me a hug. We walked quickly to school, talking for a bit about the movie, but not much. I didn't really want to tell her about the audition, and I could tell she wasn't too interested about hearing it. When I got into my form room it was a different matter though. Harriet and Alice noticed the great big smile on my face straight away. "You've got in haven't you?"
Harriet asked. I nodded ecstatically, before being nearly squeezed to death in their powerful hugs. "Well done!" they both grinned, congratulating me several more times. They were both so happy for me; I could tell. My true friends. "It's not as if you've actually got the part," Laura sneered. She was one of the "Preps". "Well no, but even if I don't get it, it's still a fantastic achievement, and it'll look fantastic on my CV,"
I replied. I was trying to sound calm, cool and collected. But as you could imagine, it was virtually impossible with such a bubble of happiness filling my whole body. And, no matter what she said, I was not about to let Laura burst it. "You're not going to get it, you idiot. They'll want someone pretty and actually good at acting. You're neither." she persisted. "Oh yeah? So why have I got this far then?" I retorted. She wasn't going to win. "Well.. I... they were just feeling sorry for you." "Ha! Do you really think a director would waste that much time and effort?" I'd won. There was no denying that. It didn't stop people from taking Laura's side though. They all thought I was being 'big headed'. So was I not entitled to be proud of my achievements? Apparently not.
Still, I didn't let them bother me. Who needed them anyway? I knew who my real friends were. And I was proud of everything I had achieved. I didn't need them. I had my Drama; that's all I needed.
