Name: Talis Remora
Gender: Male
Age: 17, born on the 20th of December 1992
Appearance: At five foot seven inches, Talis is shorter than the average teenager, with a slightly underdeveloped physique leaving him a little underweight. A lightly tanned face harbors dark blue eyes, and is framed by thick chocolate brown hair that is always tousled for an eternally disheveled look.
His face is actually quite youthful in appearance, with almost no acne. This and his short physique leads to him seeming younger than he actually is.
In order to cover up his slender form, Talis opts for thick, warm clothes, such as an open brown jacket, unzipped to reveal a clean white t-shirt. He also wears baggy, navy blue jeans and sturdy white trainers. An advantage of this attire is that it not only makes him seem more thickset, but also protects him against the potential harsh environment of the world around him.
Background: Born to a loving mother and father, Talis' parents were nevertheless constantly busy, and did not always have time to take care of him and raise him as another set of parents might. His mother, a Pokemon Co-ordinator, and his father, a Trainer, were not content to settle down, and only occasionally visited Talis.
Because of this, Talis was always on the move, being looked after by various aunts, uncles, grandparents and distant relatives. He never knew real stability in his life, and so never became particularly close to anyone. He knew the basic manners that any child would be taught, but socializing and the like isn't something he'd be good at.
He also became rather unsure of what he wanted in life. With various types of pressure around him to become a lawyer, a businessman, among other jobs he didn't see himself wanting. It was when he began to see Trainers, Breeders and Co-ordinators arrive in his local town that he decided that he wanted to have something to do with Pokemon.
For a year he worked part time in a Pokemart in a town he stayed in, before working as a delivery boy to the local Pokemon Center.
After a year and a half, he decided he was ready to try to train his own Pokemon and go out into the world.
Personality: Quiet and untalkative due to his upbringing, Talis doesn't say anything that he doesn't have to. He doesn't have the confidence in himself or his own social skills to befriend others at the minute. He hopes his journey will change this for the better.
Dignified and diligent, Talis believes that if a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well, and will always strive to do his best with an almost perfectionist attitude.
Underneath the silent outer shell is someone of compassion and deep understanding, who doesn't mind risking himself for the good of other people or Pokemon. He believes there are no "bad" Pokemon, only Trainers who use them towards the wrong ends. He dislikes seeing Pokemon being used in harmful, abusive or uncaring ways, though due to his silence, he is unable to express this disgust and so has to be content with trying to stop it day by day rather than speaking out.
