Jude Justice Lovelace
Basic Information
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Birth Date: December 28
Height: 6'11
Weight: 182 Ibs.
Looks
Physical Appearance: For his entire life, Jude was always short, stocky, and built very much like a Football player. However, as he soared into his teens, he began losing weight and gaining inches. Now tall, wiry, and incredible slender, the boy only has a bit of muscularity left in his upper arms and hard stomach. His legs are incredibly long, leading to large feet, and making up more than half of his height. His hands are large, and his wiry frame looks slightly fragile, but beneath his skin is a layer of muscle that still remains from his childhood.
Skin Tone: Jude's skin is dark, naturally so. It's obvious he spends most of his time outside, soaking in the sun, but also leads others to believe he had a tropical childhood. His dark skin makes him appear slightly foreign, but he prefers to keep it this color because he appears sickly when pale.
Facial Features: Jude is fairly handsome-- all of his features are straight, obviously untouched by brakes in the bone. His face is smooth, almost in a girlish way, with a long nose and thin lips always plastered in an intimidating straight line. A dark cover of stubble remains across his chin, cheeks, and leading up to his hair line and on his upper lip. It appears to be a 5 O'clock Shadow, but remains there at all times. His chin is long and prominent in comparison to the rest of his face, slanting to thin, gaunt cheekbones that make the underfed impression he gives off more prominent.
Eyes: His eyes are large and oval-shaped, and very, very dark. They appear to be black, but in direct light it is obvious that they are simply a deep, chocolate brown. They're not exactly expressive, always seeming to remain half-closed as all times. They're always shielded by a bored, glazed over expression, no matter how he feels at the time. His dark lashes are long and straight, often curling under and causing him pain by sticking his eyes. His eyebrows are thin and also black, brown in direct light, set a few centimeters above his eyes.
Teeth: Jude's teeth are very nearly perfect-- They're fine and straight from braces and obsessive dental care, and brightly white from repeated bleachings in his younger years.
Hair: His hair is also very dark, as is the rest of his appearance. It's such a dark brown that it is often mistaken for black, much like his eyes, but seen in some lights it's obvious it's simply an alluring chocolate. He takes very good care of his shaggy mop, so it glints healthily. It falls just above his chin, straight and long, often brushed into his emotionless eyes.
Voice: Jude's voice is slow and reassuring, low in tone at all times, making it obvious that he has no trouble keeping his cool. It's comforting velvet, and he speaks each syllable with care, pronouncing every word best as he can. It's very deep, which is a bit shocking for someone with a skinny frame like his. It's monotone, never rising or lowering in pitch whenever he speaks.
The Outfit
Top: The teenage boy wears a simply pale gray, button up shirt. It's long sleeved, but the sleeves are always rolled up to his elbows. It's buttoned to the first three buttons, left open a bit to show his chest, but not because he's arrogant or anything and wants to bring attention to himself. He just never gets to buttoning his shirts all the way. The collar is usually ruffled slightly, but never flipped up unless he's laying down. He doesn't like the way it feels on his neck when he's flat on his back or stomach.
Bottom: His jeans are worn low on his waste in a careless manner, baggy and a size too big for him. They nearly cover his shoes, folded up at the end of the pant leg. A loose, brown leather belt doesn't do it's job very well, but he wears it nonetheless.
Shoes: Black, lace less tennis-shoes have always graced the boy's large feet. He's bought new pairs of the same shoes as his feet have grown, and the ones he wears currently are fairly new, but encrusted with dirt.
Accessories: Hidden by his shaggy hair, Jude's earlobes are graced by small spacers, the upper part of the left one pierced with a small stud. He wears a thin, rope necklace with a small, dark cross that rests on the part of his chest revealed by the unbuttoned shirt.
Personality
Slightly manipulative, Jude has quite the way with words. He is one of the few people who can truly see others for what they are. With time, he could build an assumption of what a person is, and most of the time said assumption is more true than the other realizes. The young man is logical and calculated, living his life as a realist. Unfortunately, this gives him quite a dismal outlook on humans and the like. He's quick to jump to conclusions about people, rarely seeing the good, but instead over analyzing the bad. This is added on by the fact that at times he can be extremely paranoid of others, always thinking that perhaps they're simply a pretty package out to destroy him. Jude hasn't been in all that many relationships because of these negative traits.
Jude may not be that good with people, but one thing he purely loves is Pokémon. Since a young age, Jude has had an overwhelming emotional attachment to all Pokémon. He simply cares for them. To Jude, Pokémon are something much greater than his own species. Where humans make him sick, Pokémon are there to give him hope.
Most of the time, the man is quiet and reserved. He is extremely introverted, which at times drives people away. Really, it's just kind of hard to be around him in general. The main redeeming quality Jude has other than his physical appearance is his honest. Sincere to his very bones, Jude rarely lies. He's completely open with anyone about anything and everything.
Jude is lacking in most social niceties. He can come off as rude because of his bluntness, but in reality means no harm. People may make him sick from time to time, but he's really a gentleman. Or at least tries to be. His lack of manners kinds of prevent him from being labeled as such. His main social issue is women. Jude never really learned how to function around females. For him, there's so much distracting skin and parts and smells and it's all so strange, and he isn't exactly sure how to act or what to say, and is simply, well, awkward.
History
Jude was born and raised on the sunny shores of Cinnabar Island, in the Kanto Region. As a child, he was what one could easily call a loner. He preferred to swim alone in small coves and visit the haunted mansion that lay very near to his abode, since children his age were rare on the small island. He would befriend wild pokemon, speaking to them in whispers.
Among his family members, he earned the nickname Justie, which completely disgusted him. Few people knew this, and since he wasn't one to speak up for himself, the name stuck to him like glue until his teenage years, when his family left Cinnabar Island and headed to Vermillion City. He absolutely loathed the mainland, and became irritable and unpredictable, dissapearing for days at a time. He made no friends, and began to slip away -- emotionally -- from his family. He stopped speaking. He went through puberty at fourteen without uttering a word, and when he turned fifteen, he finally spoke, his words slurred and being, "Mother, may I cook you dinner?". Other than that, they were extremly deep in comparison to his normal voice. No one knows why he stopped speaking, but the secret is, he had simply given up.
He felt no need to speak.
So he just stopped.
And despite the fact that he had begun speaking again, he still hated Vermillion city. The truth was, he missed what was his true home-- Cinnabar Island.
Eventually, Jude started traveling. He became a trainer, and more or less dominated at it. He trained in almost every region, before finally saying goodbye to his lovely Pokémon and making his way to Cheyenne.
