((Picture will be up whenever i get the time to draw one, or better yet, get someone who can actually draw to make me one))
Full Name: Gaunt Boy (Formerly Gerard Houricher)
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Appearance: (1154 characters, spaces included)
Gaunt is be no means a healthy looking boy, and he certainly lives up to his name. His body is almost reduced to bones as his 'friend' rarely lets him eat any more than what he needs to survive. His skin is eerily pale and has a very unhealthy glow to it. His formerly light brown hair is dark and greasy. It hangs into his face and covers his eyes, and is tied together in the back with a hairband that looks like it has been there for ages.
The boy dresses in tattered rags. A black T-shirt with so many rips it's a wonder it holds together at all, a pair of formerly red long shorts that have gotten an unhealthy brown colour with time. His feet are bare and has seemingly been for a long long time.
His face is just as gaunt as the rest of his body, with a hollow almost dead stare to his eyes and dark eye sockets, showing that he rarely sleeps as well. His nails are unkept and have only been 'cut' when they've broken off. Needless to say, this boy smells rather icky due to being so unkept as he is. As a final detail his 'friend' often hides on his body in his gasseous foirm, causing deep purple smoke to emanate from all over this boys body.
Background: (3768 characters, Spaces included)
Gerard was a happy little boy. He grew up in a rather large house, not a mansion, but a large house none the less. His father was a business man and earned pleanty of money, which ment Gerard got to spend his days at home with his mother playing and being home schooled from time to time.
It was a lovely life and his parents had high hopes for their little beautiful boy.
All this changed however when Gerard was 8 years old.
It was a rather stormy day, so Gerard and his mother were playing hide and seek inside, and his mother was it.
Feeling bold, Gerard chose to hide in the attic. The wind howled and it almost felt like it was trying to tear the house apart, but the Attic was most likely the last place his mother would come look.
In the beginning Gerard didn't mind the noise, after all it would help him stay concealed, but as time passed he began feeling more and more scared, the place was dark and mushy and he could feel just how violent the wind was. The young boy began crying. It was at this point he met his 'friend'.
It just so happened that a wild gastly had snuck into the house in order to evade the vicious storm that raged outside. The pokémon had approched the boy and comforted him, before asking if it could get some food to eat.
This was the start of a brief relationship between Gerard Houricher and a wild gastly named Duke.
Duke would stay in the attic, and Gerard would make every excuse he could to visit his new friend.
Duke had asked to be kept a secret from Gerard's parents, and the boy was happy to comply, it was nice to have something entirely for himself.
Unfortunately for the boy, this was not a well-intentioned pokémon and one day Duke suggested Gerard came up and slept on the attic with him. At first the boy was scared, but in the end he went up to the attic where Duke waited. Feeling safer in the company of the pokemon, Gerard went to sleep that warm summer night.
When Gerard woke up again it was dark everywhere and he was freezing. The boy didn't know, but 6 years had passed since he went to bed that night in the attic, and he was now hiding in dark cave, trying to shake off the villagers that were chasing him for stealing new clothes for his much older body. He had aged physically, but the boy, who had now forgotten his name and most of his past, was still mentally a little boy, and therefore his first reaction was to cry out for help.
His crying went on for quite a while until it stiffled into a silent sobbing. The boy fell asleep again, but this time he woke up the following day, still in rags and very hungry.
Somehow he managed to stumble out of the dark cave where he collapsed, only to be found by a kind elderly lady.
Here he was fed and bathed, and he was given new clothes. At this point it was discovered that the boy had a pokeball in his possession, a pokeball containing a fainted gastly.
This caused the boy to panic. He couldn't remember anything, but he knew that this gastly was his friend. He was reminded of being scared and how this gastly had saved him, it was his security blanket. The old Lady went with the gastly to the poké center where it was healed. Afterwards it was returned to the boy who promptly let it out of it's ball. Then he collapsed again and ran away from the old lady.
Duke had taken over once again, and this time he wanted to make sure he kept in control over his host.
The pokémon forced the boy's body to travel all sorts of places, trying to figure out how it was to get a Pokémon so that it could defend itself without losing control over the boy.
3 years passed and the pokémon stumbled across a poster saying that it could get a free Pokémon at the ranger station in the region of cheyenne, then it was just a matter of getting there.
Personality: (1329 characters, spaces included.)
The boy, in his possessed state, really hasn't got much of a personality. He's by all means a living puppet being controlled by his 'friend' Duke (see duke's personality). He never really talks (Duke speaks for him) and seems more dead than alive.
When he is not possessed however, he regains parts of his former self. His mind has been greatly damaged by the long long possession, and while his body has aged to a near mature stage, his unpossessed mind is still that of a scared 8 year old boy. He has njo recollections besides the fact that he remembers that Duke is his friend and basic knowledge such as how to read.
One of the boys first instincts is to cry whenever he comes out of his possessed state, simply because he has no idea where he is, why or who he is himself.
It's near impossible to calm the boy down, mostly because the feeling of fear is one of the few he has got left, all the others have withered away and are hiding somewhere deep within him. The boy will try his best to get his Gastly back should he snap out of possession.
Pokémon:
Name: Duke
Gender: Male
Ability: Levitate
Moves:
Lick/Hypnosis
Personality:
Duke is the mastermind behind this terrible Duo. He's unkind and manipulative, feeling that humans are simply tools to be used and that they are VERY disposable. Gerard is not the first human he has spirited away, but he is the logest lasting one, mostly because Duke learned how to keep his hosts alive.
While he is stubborn and relentless, Duke is in any way a Coward. He hides on his host as much as possible, and only in the most dire of situations will he come out to battle a possible enemy himself. One of the reasons for this, is the fact that should he faint, he will lose control overt the boy, which is always a bad thing.
Should it be discovered that Duke is possessing the boy, he will often mess as much as possible with people, especially to creep them out.
Info:
Gaunt is possessed for as long as Duke is conscious.
Duke is Gaunt's pre-starter. (I intend to go to the ranger station.)
