Noah looked into the forest's direction then back at Evan. He scratched his head; this guy might be right. A bug type pokémon might make a good addition to his team. The blond boy shrugged before answering the bug catcher. "I guess I might try to catch a bug type. Would you mind showing me the way?" The trainer quickly recalled his ghost type and shuffled the ball into his pocket. He won't use Beethoven for a while. It's too strong for this route's pokémon; it's just no fun this way.

Seeming excited by the prospect of leading the other male into an adventure, Evan grinned and beckoned Noah in a certain direction. "Come on! I know where all the great Bug-types are! He had to remind himself not to start running ahead, instead attempting to keep pace with Noah whilst still not leading him astray. He kept up chatter the entire time about how awesome bugs were and how he'd became a bug catcher and basically just detailing his Pokemon career in five minutes.
Not very interesting at all, sadly.
At least he closed his mouth when they reached a certain part of the route, Evan glancing around with a serious but excited expression. "There's always some bugs around here," he said confidently, looking around and peering behind bushes--probably not the best strategy for catching a bug, actually.
From nearby, a Nincada crouched down and stared warily toward the two trainers. He'd ran into that Evan boy before, not trusting the fact that the kid had tried to capture him. Nincada had always been on his own. His parents had been trainer-raised and he'd just been released to save space in the PC. Abandoned, really. So he made his own way and had very little trust for trainers.
Unfortunately, Evan spotted him. "Oh look, a bug!"

Noah followed the eager bug catcher, but when Even started talking about bugs and his 'adventures', the trainer regretted his choice. Noah tried to act like he was listening to the other boy's blabbering, but soon, he gave up and covered his ears with his hands. Fortunately, Evan shut his mouth when he noticed a Nincada on the road. It looked like it was slightly intimidated by the trainers so Noah decided to leave the poor bug type alone. He won't be able to use a pokémon that's afraid of humans. "Come on, Evan. This Nincada's scared of us, we should let it go."

Evan was totally ready to help Noah catch the bug, but for some reason Noah didn't seem interested in it. Now that was a shame, because he heard that if you trained one that it would double itself into two different Pokemon! Now that was something that should interest anyone that was sane! "If you say so." He knew where the cooler bugs were anyways.
"So there are a bunch of new bugs around here lately. One of them is really mean though, so I've been careful around them." He went on, leading Noah to a new place where the wood was damp and the moss was plentiful. It was a perfect place for bugs and plants alike.
In fact, as he was talking a small creature had appeared with a dead Rattata locked into its jaws. She had recently captured this meal, and she was not about to give it up. Eat berries like her mother told her? Never. She saw real carnivores eat, and she was going to live the same way they did. She hissed loudly at them, as if she would attack if they got any closer.

Noah raised an eyebrow; new bugs? What did this bug catcher mean by new bugs? Noah was about to ask Evan when it hit him. He mus be talking about the pokémons that came from Unova! The boy facepalmed himself; this was common sense! How come he forgot about it?! Noah shook his head; sometimes he questioned his own sanity.
While Noah was mentally scolding himself, one of his pokéballs started shaking and twitching on his belt. Dante, the boy's small Snivy, spotted the carnivorous Venipede and wanted to challenge it. Noah noticed the capturing device's strange behaviour so he released the agitated grass snake. "You're pretty eager to battle, right? Then use Twister on that centipede." The green reptile raised his stubby arms into the air and summoned a small, but violent tornado and sent it towards the bug type.

The Venipede had just finished getting her pray, but suddenly a large wind came from nowhere. Twigs and debris smacked into her, the Twister from the Snivy was a direct hit and she turned around. There was a Snivy standing before her, attacking her for no reason. Having an angry look on her face the Venipede dropped her pray and turned towards her next one. It was a free world, wasn't it? Was it a crime to eat other Pokémon? Spearow did it all the time and they never got punished. Yet when she did it she was caught, how unfair the world was. The Venipede didn't waste time. Curling up into a ball the Poison type raised her defense. Even though she couldn't the Snivy she knew where he was. Suddenly the Venipede began rolling, fast and furious the Bug began using Rollout on the Snivy. The ground beneath her was dug up and she raced towards him. Hopefully this attack would hit and then a continuous cycle would continue, making each hit more powerful than the last. Dante cracked a grin when the twister hit the bug type opponent; the grass snake was happy that he finally found a worthy opponent. The grass type completely forgot about the fact that he was weak against both bug and poison type moves. Surprisingly, the Venipede didn't use a poison type move; it started rolling towards the reptile instead, attempting to slam into him.
<Rollout, huh?> Dante knew this move; it was a rock type attack that gets more and more stronger with every successive hit. It was a pretty annoying attack, but fortunately, it had low accuracy. The Venipede looked like an unstoppable tank, trying to run over its weak and helpless prey. Dante tried to sidestep and dodge the Venipede's charge, but failed miserably. The poison type's hardened body crahed into the Snivy and sent it flying. The grass snake crashed into a tree and plummetted to the ground.
Noah glanced at his unmoving pokémon; it was lying on the ground, its body limp. The trainer shook his head and started walking towards Dante. He stopped in front of the snake and slowly picked it up. The reptile's big eyes were open and it had a sour expression on its face. "What's wrong, pal? You can't beat a simple bug? What a worthless pokémon."
Dante's eyes widened in rage; how dare this puny human call him worthless?! The Snivy kicked his trainer in the stomach and struggled free from the boy's hands. As soon as he landed on the ground, the muscles in his legs tensed and he shot himself forward, towards the poisonous bug type. Before tackling the red bug, Dante shot it an intimidating glare to lower its defense. Then, charging straight towards it, he tried to slam into the Venipede.

The Venipede rolled back over to her side of the field and uncurled herself from the Rollout. Apparently her move had hit, seeing as how the Snivy was getting up from the ground. Scoffing she turned her back to leave the battle. But voices made her turn her head back again. Suddenly the gaze from the Snivy was a bit intimidating, her defense going back down to the base stage as the Leer met her eyes.
Trying not to show it the Venipede stood her ground. She waited to see what his next move was. Then she heard something shocking, his Trainer just called him worthless. Oh well this was a interesting turn in events. <Worthless Pokemon huh?> She asked with a smirk. <If you can't beat me then apparently you are a worthless Pokemon.> The Venipede taunted a bit. Then, out of the blue, the Snivy jumped out of his trainer's arms and slammed into her with Tackle.
The force from the move was enough to make her grimace and dig her legs into the ground to keep her from flying. OK, maybe calling him worthless wasn't the smartest of ideas. But at least now she faced a challenge and not some little Pokemon. Once again she curled herself into a ball and rolled towards the Snivy. Oddly enough Venipedes were fast. Even though they were chubby and they looked slow they could easily prove you wrong. The fast bug rolled towards the Snivy in another Rollout.

Dante popped a vein when he heard the bug's insult. It's not enough that his own trainer calls him worthless - the Snivy knew the human only did that to help the grass type -, this pathetic, red abomination calls him worthless too! The small snake was furious beyond imagination; his only objective was to humiliate and crush the Venipede. While Dante was deep in thoughts, he didn't notice the centipede's Rollout attack; the attack collided with the pokémon once again. A bestial yell tore from the Snivy's throat as he charged forward, trying to crush into his opponent's head. But before he could reach the Venipede, a hand grabbed the reptile by its yellow, collar like leaves and pulled him back, stopping the enraged pokémon from attacking the bug type in his blind fury.
Noah was holding Dante ; the grass type was flailing with his arms and legs in the air, trying to free himslef from his trainer's grip. Unfortunately for Dante, the trainer was holding him by the yellow leaves portruding from his shoulders tightly, so the pokémon couldn't break free. The boy sighed, his pokémon losed its composure too quickly. If it doesn't learn how to stay calm in its battles, it'll experience many painful defeats. "Listen, idiot. Calm down first before you attack your opponent. If you tries to attack it while you're blinded by your rage, this battle will end pretty quickly." Noah placed the grass snake on the ground when it stopped struggling and sat down under a big tree. This ought to do the trick.
Dante took a depp breath and exhaled, trying to cool his head. When he managed to quiet down, he started his assault against the foe again. He gave the bug/poison type centiped another glare. He didn't need words to warn the insect; if it underestimates him, it'll loseagainst the snake. When the leer was finished, the starter whipped up another small tornado, drawing small rocks, dirt and sticks towards its center. Dante sent the raging Twister in the Venipede's direction. The dragon type attack destroyed everything that stood in its way; it tore small trees out of the ground, picked up bouldres and other objects, only to send them flying, etc. If this attack hits, the Venipede will feel it.

As the Snivy sent objects flying at the Venipede, she quickly moved to the side to dodge the incoming blasts before she started to insult Dante all over again. >That's the best you got? Oh wow... I actually feel sorry for you!< She said as she sent an array of poisonous arrows at the Snivy, hoping to poison him while she was at it. >Seriously, you are worst than worthless. You definitely can not beat me, nor can you even keep up with me so you are definitely worst than worthless. You are garbage.< She said as she just continued to taunt her foe. >You are a downgrade from bologna... You are so worthless, even your trainer has to yell at you< She said to the Snivy before simply laughing at the worthlessness of the pokemon. ::Venipede:: Level 7|Female Poison Point|Swarm Defense Curl|Rollout|Poison Sting Personality: Vicious, wild, unpredictable. The Snivy scoffed; what a pathetic fool. Does this braindead bug think its lame insults will have any effect on him? Dante burst into laughter. He couldn't believe he got angry at the Venipede before; it was just a stupid and arrogant little girl. She wasn't worth the trouble. Suddenly, a poisonous dart whizzed past the reptile's head and soon, a dozen of other darts followed it. The grass snake tried to dodge the arrows, but there were too many; some of them managed to connect with the starter's body. Luckily, he didn't get poisoned, but Dante knew that if the Venipede continues to use this move, the poison might affect him.
<Good work, honey, but this isn't enough to kill me. Oh and about the insulting. I don't think a degenerate like you are supposed to call others worthless. Let me ask you one thing. Have you ever beaten anyone before?> The Snivy didn't wait for the centipede's answer; he leered at the opponent before charging forward, attempting to tackle the bug type.

The Venipede scowled at the Snivy's remark. Nodding her head at the dead Rattata off in the bushes she hissed. <Does that answer your question? That Rattata was no match for me, and neither are you. Your Trainer is right, you are a worthless Pokemon.> The Venipede shot back. If he could hand out the insults so could she. Not letting anything he said get to her the Venipede awaited his attacks.
The Leer didn't make her cringe one bit, just made her blink. Though her defense lowered she was not scared one bit. The Tackle hit her, she stood her ground though. Digging her feet into the ground to keep herself from flying off. Shaking her head and herself to brush off the attack the Venipede scoffed. <Is that all?> She asked.
Opening her mouth she shot a barrage of poison spikes at the Snivy. Making sure she sent enough hopefully her luck would kick in and the Snivy would be poisoned. The type match up was bad, Grass didn't do much. However, he knew moves besides Grass. No matter, the battle was hers. No way he could turn this around, right? For protection she quickly curled up into a ball after her attack to get her defense normal again.

The Snivy snarled at the Venipede, baring his teeth. <Don't you dare call me worthless again, bitch! I'm fed up with arrogant scum like you who only picks fights with people weaker than themselves!> Dante glared daggers at the poisonous bug type; there's no way in hell he'll lose to such a ill-natured woman like this. He'll beat her up until she apologizes to him and begs for mercy.
When the centipede repeated its previous attack, Dante summoned another Twister, blocking the arrows and sending the tornado towards the opponent. Dante cracked a sinister grin; the torturing begins now.

Shit. Dante knew if the Venipede's powered-up Rollout hits him he'll be in serious trouble. He had to dodge it. The Snivy wrapped one of his vine whips around a tall tree's thick branch and pulled himself out of the poisonous bug type's attack's way. The reptile gave the Venipede an evil smirk before disappearing between the leaves. Since he was a grass type and also green in coloration, Dante managed to blend in with his surroundings perfectly. The only thing left to do was to wait for the insect's attention to waver. The grass snake cackled; he couldn't wait to torment this arrogant centipede.
In ther meantime, Noah was still resting under a large tree, enjoying the quiet atmosphere around him. The trainer opened one of his eyes and started looking for Evan. When he spotted the bug catcher, he motioned to the other boy, inviting the bug fanatic to join him under the tree. "Hey, Evan! Why don't you come over here? I'm starting to get bored. The Venipede was getting annoyed with all of the conversation and was rather glad when the Snivy got upset and hid in the grass. She could hardly see him, but it meant that her rollout was done and over with. With a skid, she stopped to stare at her surroundings with a low purr. Now this was lovely. It was time to have a little fun and see if she hit anything!
She started to spray a Poison Sting into the grass, going through some of the blades with ease. It was a random guess, but her accuracy wasn't low. The Snivy was just harder to spot, that was all.
Meanwhile Evan was more than glad to play some poker, even though he wanted the Venipede for himself. He plopped himself down with curious eyes. "I'm not so good at poker. How about War? Do you have the cards?" He asked, cause he sure didn't have any on them.

Dante arched a brow. Why was the Venipede shooting her poisonous arrows into the tall grass? Is she crazy? He's hiding in the tree crown, not in the grass! She saw it when he disappeared on tree, right? The grass snake shrugged; it doesn't mayyer if the opponent gone mad or not, he'll just have to beat her.
The reptile was deep in thoughts, not knowing what to do. If he attacks with Tackle, he'll have to abandon his perfect hiding place. The same goes for Vine Whip too. The only attack he can use is Twister. The grass type started swaying his tail back and forth and a large tornado appeared. It headed towards the Venipede, trying to pick it up and tear it apart.
Noah scratched his head. "Yes, I do. Gimme a moment." The blond trainer placed his bagpack on his lap and started searching for something in it. After a while, he pulled a deck of french playing card. He placed it in front of Evan. "Would you shuffle the cards?"

Evan shrugged and took the deck and shuffled it. Hey, he needed something to do while he was watching the battle.
The Venipede heard gusts coming her way and quickly turned her head. The twister was coming right at her. Rolling out of the way the Venipede narrowly dodged the Twister attack. Due to this the bug now knew where the Snivy was. The direction where the Twister came she quickly turned. Of course that might not have been the exact place he was so she was taking a gamble.
<I have you now!> She said. A smile was on her face, but not one that was friendly. It was evil. She had her prey in sight now and she wasn't letting him get away. He was hers now, all hers. It was time to take him down sooner or later. Shooting another row of spikes she sent another Poison sting his way. The Snivy might have hid from her for the time being but now he was hers. The Venipede snickered when she saw the conflicted look on the Snivy's face and stopped with her assault, watching him run and flee with amusement. The trainer didn't even give a damn, did he? She was glad about that at least, perhaps she'd be able to drag the Snivy off somewhere so she could save his body for later. It would most likely be very delicious, especially if she wanted to be healthier.
The Snivy started to attack back, looking weak as he used a leer on her, and she shook it off. So he looked tough, so what? Her guard was lowered slightly as he used a Tackle against her, activating her poison point ability. With all of the times he ran into her body with tackle, and the chance of her poison sting causing poison, this Snivy had to be poisoned soon.
<Sucker.> She muttered to herself as she curled back up again, boosting her defenses to a normal status. It was then that she started up another rollout against the Snivy, not holding back at all.
