Age by age has man turned to the world and said,
"From what has come before me, I was forged,
But I am new and greater than my Forebears."
And so each man walks the world in ruin, abandoned and untried.
Less than the whole of his being.

And so each man walks the world in ruin, abandoned and untried.

Full Name: Lucienne Mara Loussier
Nicknames: Blink, Luci, Mara
Gender: Female
Age: 14, July 13th
Appearance
And here came Blink, looming ominously above the waistline of any given crowd, standing at a formidable 4'6", and with about as slight a build as one could get. Her figure? One of slender, athletic grace, suble curves of a natural dancer sewn into the fabric of her being. But that body itself was otherwise unremarkable, despite being well taken care of and generally pleasing to look at. But why then did people call her Blink? Well, that one was simple. Upon seeing the style to which the rest of her presence adhered, one often couldn't help but blink a few times to make sure they were seeing her right.
Lucienne clearly seemed to prefer the elegant and extravagant, the most notable example of that preference being her hair; a long, golden waterfall that cascaded down her back, well past her waist and beyond, only finally ending below her knees. And despite how hard it would be to maintain such length in good condition, Lucienne's hair owed its immaculate shine to nearly religious grooming on her part. Nothing aside the bangs had ever been cut, and the bangs only trimmed to keep her hair from obscuring her vision, neatly framing the delicate features of her face in a mock pixy-cut.
Though her hair was doubtlessly her favorite personal feature, her eyes did come in a close second, shown by the way the only make-up she ever wore was a slight bit of eyeliner to accent their vibrant green nature, giving her long, lush lashes just the boost they needed to really stand out.
Lucienne's clothing choice was typically the same style as the rest of her, lacking any degree of simplicity whatsoever. How, one might ask? Simple; Lucienne had a thing for lolita dresses, that style of clothing being the main thing one would see dressing her figure. That was just the way she was brought up, living in the lap of luxury and elegance. Traveling life really didn't seem to suit her, but somehow she did seem to manage, even going so far as to forsake those beloved dresses of hers when on particularly arduous treks through rugged terrain for something a bit more practical. That practicality usually consisted of a plain black dress cut to just above her knees overlaid by a tan colored fur-lined jacket. A constant sight on her legs were a pair of black thigh-highs, dressed up with some sleek yet flexible black boots.
Accompanying her on her journey was a rugged black rolling suitcase, designed to resist the wear and tear of the world (while holding all the little luxuries she'd need), as well as a small purse worn on her right shoulder containing her funds, make-up, small accessories, and, of course, her Pokeballs.
Fun fact! Lucienne is left handed.
Personality
Lucienne was most commonly described as a snobbish, aristocratic person, largely due to the way she always acted in a dignified, lady-like manner. In the midst of a group of her peers, she was typically the quiet one, usually only appearing to be paying partial attention to whatever the group was doing or discussing. Hearing her contribute to most group discussions was a true rarity, though not due to any degree of shyness. Rather, Lucienne was quite the little introvert, more focused on what she thought and her own feelings than what anyone else had to say, though when she did pay attention speaking was still rare, due to how she felt mere observation was more than enough to answer most questions if one could muster the patience. The combination of these traits commonly caused people to view her as a cold, apathetic, and all-around uncaring person. And in most regards, they weren't wrong. But, that was all when Lucienne wasn't trying to be the charismatic little aristocrat she could be, though that was a mask she only put on when she felt a real need to impress someone, or needed to achieve some goal or purpose.
When in a foul mood, Lucienne proved to be a highly standoffish individual. Rather than possess the typical explosive temper most people had, Lucienne possessed more of an icy rage; a piercing glare coupled with what seemed to be a general hatred towards anything and everything in existence usually made it clear just when she was raging. Additionally, there was a noticeable lapse in her usual prim and proper nature, manifesting itself in the form of rude remarks and an increased aptitude to present people with 'Why You Suck' speeches. Not to say there weren't specific things that could send her into a berserking frenzy. There were actually several things on that list, though those temper-tantrums were short-lived at best, though they did almost always result in her holding a grudge against the person for a while, even if only a small one. Good moods swung the opposite way, with Lucienne adopting a curious, easy-going, and overall more pleasant personality that even bordered on friendliness. Typically though, her mood rested somewhere in the grey area between; an uncaring, passive, calm attitude some would call the 'mark of the silent observer'.
Lucienne's voice is best described as a light velvet - Soft and smooth - just quiet enough to require people to listen in order to hear. Matching the rest of her aristocratic behavior, she speaks in a very royal and cultured way, intelligence and refinement clear in every word and sound. However, her personality leaves little room for tact, and thus causes her to be quite straightforward, even to be point of being blunt to an obvious fault, often causing her to sound hostile despite speaking with peaceful intentions.
Unlike most Pokemon trainers, Lucienne doesn't actually like Pokemon. Quite the opposite in fact, she views them as dirty, smelly creatures that often aren't worth a second glance, unless that second glance is needed to make sure they don't get anywhere near her. A mark of being a spoilt, aristocratic little girl for sure. She, unlike most, didn't grow up around Pokemon, and thus had only her aversion to them to go by, aside from a slight curiosity and romanticism that comes with being a Pokemon trainer.
Though that didn't mean she liked the thought of being one for the Pokemon themselves, but rather for all the journeys and adventures one could have with them, the creatures themselves being a necessary evil. Why would she feel this way? Simply because of her near-obsessive love of fantastical adventures. Books. Lucienne was quite the avid little reader, and would much rather be curled up on a soft bed reading than she would be out in a forest actually living what she read about. And so naturally she always had several books with her on her journeys, often shirking training her Pokemon to instead sit under the shade of a tree and relax for a while.

Background
In a manor devoid of the influence of Pokemon Lucienne Mara Loussier was born. Living in the lap of luxury was her family's game, all made possible by her father's status as a wealthy business man. Rather than be raised on how to lead a simply life as friends with Pokemon, or how be filled with the romantic ideas of going on a grand adventure when she grew a bit older, Lucienne was instead taught formality and etiquette, the way of being a lady first and foremost. Of course, beauty and grooming was also part of her daily routine, but as her father always liked to say; "It isn't enough for a girl to have a pretty face. She must also possess a sharp wit and an insult to meet any occasion."
Lucienne never did once care about the fact that she led a rather sheltered life at home. Instead, the girl wrapped herself in her studies and novels, taking time to learn about the worldly aspects of life beyond Pokemon, and indulging in a good fantasy or two in her free time. Books, books, and more books. Private tutors weren't necessary for her, as her parents soon found out. She seemed more than willing to simply study on her own, which was honestly how she spent much of her time each day. While there were those few rare days where she instead chose to nap in the garden or dance under the watchful eye of the local instructor, by and large her time was spent alone in her room.
The only manner of social interaction the girl was often subject to was when her father had guests over, whether that be a small group or a lavish party. But, surprisingly enough, Lucienne proved to be quite the little social butterfly. Well, when she wanted to. She seemed to possess a natural charisma, but a lack of desire to actually use it, which often frustrated her father to no end. Introducing your exceptionally charming daughter to a business associate and have their meeting seem to go flawlessly only to find the girl had wandered off halfway through was quite irritating for him.
He never did actually do anything about it. Lucienne was mostly left to her own devices, those few times when he did call her for a rare father-daughter outing aside. And even then things rarely ever related to Pokemon. Why? Her father's teachings, of course. He'd preached to her since she was but a mere toddler that Pokemon were silly, dirty creatures that the common folk liked to raise as pets, and were certainly unbecoming for a lady like herself to be seen with. The reason for her father's views? Equally simple; He viewed Pokemon, and humanity's strange attraction to them, to be a blight upon the productiveness of mankind. "If people spent as much time contributing to society as they did with those animals, the world would be a much better place now."
But, his grip on his daughter was destined to falter, as he one day found a note on the kitchen table proclaiming that Lucienne had already packed and arranged to leave, and would be going on a Pokemon journey. Many asked why in the name of all that was decent would she do that, but her reasoning was about as plan (and stupid) as it could be. She wanted to live the adventure she'd read about those many, many times, at least for a little while. And while that sadly meant she would have to live with only her own limited allowance money, the girl seemed more than ready to strike out on her own, parents permitting or not.
