Full Name: Mary-Leigh Fame (real surname Scott)
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Appearance: (1037 characters, spaces included)
Mary stands 169cm (5'5'') and weighs 54kg (119lbs, 8.5Stone). She has a curvaceous body with slender limbs. She has long Blonde hair, usually styled up in her signature hairstyle with a thick short braid on either side of her face, and a large thick braid gathering the rest of her hair behind her head. She has big blue eyes, a feminine nose and a heart shaped face.
While it is usually the TV company that decides how she should be dressed, Mary does have a favorite headgear, namely one consisting of green ribbons combined with Tympole inspired hair decorations. Typically her stylist takes this into account and Mary is allowed to keep her signature hairpiece on.
One thing Mary's outfits usually have in common is that they allow a good deal of fan service in order to attract a larger male audience, though neither Mary, nor her stylist wants to dress her as a complete slut. (it would scare away the female audience anyways).
Mary makes sure her footwear is at least comfortable enough to wear all day throughout her travels.

Ever since she was little, Mary knew she wanted to be famous. First she wanted to be a model, then an actress, then she wanted to be president and finally she settled on singing.
Mary grew up in Nimbasa city, so naturally she was used to having a lot of people around. Unfortunately, none of these people seemed to notice her whenever she went on a walk with her mother.
Mary couldn't really understand why. Her mother always told her how pretty and special and unique she was so why weren't the other people swooning over her as well?
The child asked her mother one day, and she was told that the other people were simply too busy to notice her, but if she really wanted to, she could get singing lessons, that way more people would notice her, that much her mother promised.
Singing didn't come nearly as natural for Mary as it did many of the other girls her age. The way she couldn't just be as loud as possible and the fact that she had to focus on her breathing and sit down and listen while she was told what to do, all these things were difficult for Mary. Unlike most children her age, however, Mary did not quit.
Her teachers weren't even sure her voice would turn out to be anything special, too pitchy they thought, but they encouraged the girl regardless, Mary's mother said they were happy to have someone focused like her, and Mary liked the praise.
Eventually Mary hit puberty and her voice changed quite a bit. It became deeper and more Raspy, and as her teachers noticed they began teaching her how to exaggerate these traits in her singing. Their hopes vastly improved.
At this point however, Mary was getting impatient. She could entertain her family by singing, but she still wasn't anywhere near famous, and it bothered her, she felt stuck.
She shared these thoughts with her parents and while they couldn't promise anything, they decided that Mary might as well begin to audition for various things.
They got her an agent, but demanded Mary get a job to pay for half the fee of said agent.
Mary got a job babysitting, something she found quite amusing but also difficult depending on the child. It was for the best however, as she finally got an Agent, a man named Bob, and six months later she had been auditioned as the lead Female in a film about a Fisherman's son, trying to break away and start his own life. She was 14 at the time.
The film wasn't a major success, and Mary didn't quite get the fame she had hoped for. She decided that she would instead focus on her singing once again, and asked her Agent to do the same.
3 years passed with Mary doing various odd jobs as a singer at parties, but then the winds of change blew.
”Our next contestant is the 17 Mary-Leigh Scott from Nimbasa City. Mary will sing 'The Last of your Luvdiscs' by the Kanto Oceans, let's see how she does.”
Mary had entered a competition for Unova's best singer, and with her initial audition, she was instantly famous. The judges liked her looks and especially her seductive style of singing.
Mary was glad to finally be in the center of attention, and she did her best, surviving elimination after elimination. She was styled and trained, taken care of and people everywhere seemed to want her autograph.
Then came the final.
Mary did her best, she felt the spotlight on her, and her Power ballad had the audience cheering for her. Unfortunately for Mary however, her Rival was the one who was victorious. Displaying a bold skill combined with an unconventional song won the majority of Unova over and Mary got second place.
She didn't take it too hard however. She had gotten famous, and people knew who she was, now it was just a matter of finding the next big thing to work on.
Mary's next chance came when she turned 18, and a whole new world of possibilities opened up.
She auditioned for various things, including big screen movies and up-and-coming bands, but it seemed she was never 'quite what we're looking for'.
Then one day, her agent contacted her, she had gotten an offer for a reality show/documentary. Mary of course agreed to meet with the TV company.
As it turned out, there was a region called Cheyenne a lot of people in Unova hadn't heard of, and the company wanted to make a reality show, documenting Mary's travels through the region.
The company wanted to use Mary because she was a well known face in Unova, but not so big that she would demand outrageous fees for doing so, they also commented that she could probably attract a lot of viewers in the male demographic with her good looks and sweet personality.
Mary jumped on the deal, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. She would get in TV, she would get more fame, and she would be able to experience now and exciting things.
Preparations for the show 'Fame's Fables' began, and one of these preparations was that Mary changed her last name to Fame as per the contract.
Another such preparation got Mary all giddy with excitement. The TV Company had handed her a Pokémon egg, stating that she would need a Pokémon on her journey and that they had decided that it would be best if she knew it right from the start.
For a few weeks, Mary carried the egg everywhere, caring for it, snuggling it, and quite often, singing for it. Some of the time there was a TV crew there to film the special moments, it would be used later in the actual show.
Then the big day came, the egg hatched!
Out of the egg came a little male Emolga, all cute and fuzzy, and Mary was immediately sold, this Pokémon was the cutest thing she had ever seen.
The show was ready to start, but Mary had one last thing she wanted to change in the contract.
At that time the contract stated that the Pokémon would return to the company after the show ended, but Mary didn't want such a thing to happen. It took a little convincing, but after a week the company agreed that the Emolga would be Mary's, and that they would pay her less for doing the show, in order for her to pay for the Pokémon. Both sides were satisfied.
Mary and the crew went to Mistralton City in order to get to Cheyenne. In the city, Mary was approached by a strange man, offering to sell her a super powerful Pokemon, for only 500 podollarer. Mary agreed and acquired a Magikarp* from a salesman who immediately fled.
Then Mary boarded the plane, books on Pokémon training in hand, she was going to Cheyenne.
*This Magikarp is a transfer from a terminated character, and is not a pre-starter.
Personality: (1247 characters, spaces included.)
Mary is generally a happy and playful person. She's naturally curious and likes to explore and learn new things, and once she has set her mind to something, she will put every bit of her being into completing said task.
She can be simple minded and quite stubborn from time to time, preferring to finish a task completely before shifting her focus to the next thing.
When it comes to life, Mary is not very experienced as she has spend most of it searching for fame.
This is especially evident when it comes to Pokemon, as Mary has never even had a Pokémon before the company gave her her Emolga. This of course means that as a trainer she is quite inexperienced, but it isn't something she is embarrassed about.
Mary always brings several guides with her so that she can adapt and learn from different situations, and at this point she has her focus on becoming a great trainer and of course, creating an interesting show.
One aspect of Mary is of course her obsession with fame. She is quite the spotlight hog, and she has a natural talent for finding interesting people to bring along on her show, furthering her own fame that much more.
In short, Mary is fame obsessed and stubborn, but she is good at heart and ready to grow as a person.
Info:
Mary-Leigh currently have the following Pokémon in her possession:
Emolga – Pre-starter
Magikarp – Transferred from a terminated character of mine.
Furthermore I was promised that I could go to the ranger station and get a Pokémon despite having said Magikarp, something I hope is still true <_ <;
