Moving on. It felt good to breathe in a newer, fresher air as he stepped away from Electric City and into the area beyond. The Great Bridge, spanning over the lake to the lands past it. He'd never been this way before, not directly anyway. It had always been too dangerous to go without a team and even though his parents had Pokemon he was sure they'd have allowed accompany him if he'd wanted to explore during his earlier teenage years, he hadn't known anything about training Pokemon back then. He'd probably have landed them all in a mess. The thought almost made him smile as he unclipped Artemis' Pokeball from his belt and released the pink kitten from her confines.
<Mrr--hey, where's Eris?> She cut herself off in the middle of a meow and glanced around for her partner whom she was so used to sticking with. Joshua chuckled a little in amusement and patted his starter's Pokeball. "Asleep, most likely," he told her. "I thought we'd leave her alone for a little while and do some training. You don't mind, do you?" All in all, Josh was the one in charge, but he did like to make sure that he was on the same page with his Pokemon. He hated being controlling and overbearing. He saw them as friends as opposed to tools to be used for battling and perhaps that was why his personality had clashed with Eleanors.
Thankfully, however, Artemis cheered up. <Oh, okay. No I don't mind.> She didn't jump up on his shoulder or anything, but rather opted to keep pace beside him, staring around at all of the trainers that were hanging around and the fisherman doing what they did best. <Smells good,> she commented, eyes glimmering with a predatory light as she eyed a Magikarp nearby. Of course she would want to eat the fish--she was a cat Pokemon after all, he reminded himself. "I don't think so," he said sternly, "that Pokemon might belong to a trainer. Let's keep going." She huffed a little, but didn't argue as they continued to walk along the bridge. | [cs=2][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:280px; background-image: url(http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4152/5034955807_5dde17e3f0.jpg);] ::skitty:: Artemis | | 20.5 CUTE CHARMArtemis is walking with Joshua. |

*Jab* *Jab*, *Swipe* *Swipe*, *Kick* *Kick* It seemed that a certain white pokemon was incredibly active today as a few others just looked at him and yawned while he was swiping away. He had so much energy to him that it was a bit annoying for one particular pokemon that simply got annoyed just because the pokemon was swiping away. >Cut it out will ya? I'm trying to sleep here!< The Slakoth called out to his evolved form, Vigoroth, but the Vigoroth slowly ignored him and continued to swipe away. *Jab* *Jab*, *Swipe* *Swipe*, *Kick* *Kick* What an active pokemon there is... ::Vigoroth:: Male | Level 18 Attacks: Scratch, Focus Energy, Encore, Uproar Personality: Very active, always moving. ::Slakoth:: Male | Level 13 Attacks: Scratch, Yawn, Encore, Slack Off Personality: The complete opposite. Very lazy. A bit annoyed at the activity of the Vigoroth

As it turned out, Joshua could not get past the swiping Pokemon without possibly getting clawed accidentally by the jabbing motions it was making in the air. He blinked at it and stopped in his tracks, trying to decide whether this situation was funny or exasperating. It turned out to be a little bit of both--mainly because the irritated Slakoth provided the amusement--but he really hadn't planned on being held up, so it was a bit of a nuisance as well.
Joshua wasn't the type that would attack first and ask questions later, however. "Excuse me," he said patiently to the vigorous Pokemon, resisting the urge to roll his eyes as well. "You're blocking the path and I need to get past. Would you mind moving?" He honestly didn't have a back-up plan for what he would do if the Pokemon didn't get out of his way. He'd probably be forced into attacking, really.
Since the Slakoth was just lazing about anyway, he ignored it and shifted his weight to one side as he waited for a response. Artemis said nothing, flopping down on her hindquarters and licking a paw before drawing it over her face. The girls always took time to groom themselves when they could. Josh would never really understand it. | [cs=2][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:280px; background-image: url(http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4152/5034955807_5dde17e3f0.jpg);] Artemis | | 20.5 CUTE CHARMArtemis is lounging. |

::slakoth:: Male | Level 13 Attacks: Scratch, Yawn, Encore, Slack Off Personality: The complete opposite. Very lazy. A bit annoyed at the activity of the Vigoroth Initially Vigoroth was surprised by the trainer. He tried to claw at Joshua, but stopped short of actually hitting him once he realized that the trainer meant him no harm and only asked him to move out of the way. His eyes lit up and he was happy to comply! "Oh right... sorry! Slakoth let's go!" He scampered off of the trail happily and into the bushes. Only his head was poking out, watching the younger sloth poke'mon. Slakoth didn't want to move. He curled up into a ball in the middle of the path. And now that Vigoroth wasn't bothering him he actually seemed to be falling asleep... right there in the middle of everything! Vigoroth, from the bushes, was shaking a rather large branch and making the leavess rattle against each other. "Oh... come on! Get out of the boy's way!" Vigoroth urged Slakoth, actually coming back out of the bushes to grab Slakoth's arm and begin dragging him off of the path.

[OOC: Isn't Route 2 a bridge...?]
Joshua's brows shot up in surprise and he stepped backward as the Pokemon swiped at him, not realising it was an accident and his hand going toward one of the Pokeballs clipped at his waist--just in case he was going to need it. But then the Vigoroth relaxed and thus Joshua did too, exhaling and allowing his his hand to drop back to his side. Thank goodness it wasn't going to attack him or anything. Josh could hold his own against a fight with your average person, or at least not go down in the first punch, but against a wild Pokemon? There were reasons you shouldn't go alone to a route, after all.
He was even more relieved when Vigoroth agreed to move, but the trainer's expression turned a little sour when he noticed that the Slakoth didn't want to move. Stupid laziness. He resisted the urge to get snippy, however, and decided that perhaps attempting patience and reasoning might be the best idea at first. There was no point in going on the attack with every single Pokemon that didn't give you your way immediately. These were wild Pokemon, after all. "Is there any way you will be persuaded to move?" he asked the Slakoth, seeing as it would be too much of an effort for the poor Vigoroth to have to haul the other Pokemon all the way out of Joshua's path. | [cs=2][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:280px; background-image: url(http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4152/5034955807_5dde17e3f0.jpg);] Artemis | | 20.5 CUTE CHARMArtemis is lounging. |

The Slakoth lifted his head up to glance in Joshua's direction, hearing the question but he could not even think about anything that would prompt him to move. The Vigoroth was going to have to carry him out of here himself. Did he feel like talking though? He was not particularly annoyed or motivated to explain himself, but he sighed after a pause in the conversation.
<Just kick my behind off the bridge.> That was clearly the best method he could provide. The Vigoroth was hopping from side to side, but even he stopped at the demand. Now that was awfully unusual, why would he say that? <Not into the water, right?> The Vigoroth asked to make sure, and the Slakoth looked at the Vigoroth as if he was a moron. No need for words there!
<I guess a person would be stronger than me. You kick him.> The Vigoroth suggested to Joshua, even though he would've loved to beat that slothy behind without getting in trouble. It wouldn't solve the problem if he could hardly budge the Slakoth with each kick, and believe him, this lazy Pokemon was quite the fatty.
ooc: Well route 2 has a very giant bridge, but there is also the land before the bridge and around the ponds/river that is under the bridge. It really depends on how you see the environment. x'D Some people just rp being on this giant winding bridge, so that's fine too!

Joshua slowly arched an eyebrow as the efforts to move the Slakoth off of the bridge proved unsuccessful. When it was suggested that they physically kick it off the bridge, however--by the very Pokemon himself!--the trainer hesitated. "I..." He blinked, really unsure of how to handle this. "Well I'd rather not have any harm come to you."
He wasn't totally a bad guy, really. He had his moments (and they were severe moments, this was true) but for the most part Joshua would attempt to be reasonable before he threw everything out the window and just did whatever he liked. That wasn't to say he wouldn't pull a cheap move if it benefited him--he'd done it before--but mindless violence felt almost like child's play. He was twenty years old, he wasn't even a teenager any more.
He would have tried to go around and all, but Josh was a little skittish about going too close to the edges of the bridge he was standing on. See, Joshua couldn't swim. Lots of problems surfaced if you fell into a fucking lake and you couldn't get yourself out of it. Like dying. "Uh... I suppose I could and and move you without kicking you..." He really didn't know how to handle this situation, and he glanced at the Vigoroth in almost apologetic exasperation. "Is he always this way?" Joshua wondered, sighing. | [cs=2][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:280px; background-image: url(http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4152/5034955807_5dde17e3f0.jpg);] Artemis | | 20.5 CUTE CHARMArtemis is lounging. |

The Vigoroth looked at Josh and quickly sighed. >Unfortunately... yes. You should see what he did with the other kids back then. He was so lazy that they had to go back to Electric City because he simply wouldn't move.< The white fur pokemon said to Joshua before he slowly started jumping around and hopping all over again. The Slakoth though simply shrugged it off as if it was nothing. >Seriously bro. No harm no foul. Just push me off if you want to get through. Seriously, I won't mind at all...< He said as he stood there, propped like a lazy and dead being. Wow were these pokemon complete opposites of each other. One was so hyperactive that it seemed like he was on steroids sugar 24/7 and the other looked so out of it as if he was hung over 24/7... How did they even meet each other being so different? ::Vigoroth:: Male | Level 18 Attacks: Scratch, Focus Energy, Encore, Uproar Personality: Very active, always moving. Not lazy at all Frustrated

The words of the Vigoroth were hardly encouraging to the trainer, Joshua resisting the urge to facepalm as he held back a sigh. Was there any way to get around this situation? It didn't look like it. He certainly wasn't going to knock the Slakoth into the water--hell, even if he was an asshole he wouldn't want to get close enough to the edge for such a feat to become possible. But he also didn't want to turn back or else stand here for hours waiting for the Pokémon to move.
Artemis was not so uncertain. Instead of saying anything, she scowled at the lazing Pokémon and rushed toward him. <I'll get him out of your way!> she hissed. "Artemis, don't--" But it was too late, and the protest died on his lips as the pink cat barrelled into the sloth Pokemon, trying to shove him out of the way. <Get out of the way! Move! Budge, damn it!> Artemis was totally ignoring her trainer at this point, shoving up against the chubby Slakoth and pushing with all her might.
This time around, Joshua actually died smack a palm across his forehead. "Oh dear," he muttered, shaking his head. "Arty, must you be so pushy?" There was no pun intended, really. "Let it alone, would you?" But he could tell right then and there that the kitten had absolutely no plans to 'let it alone', for she was still trying to budge her fellow Pokémon. | [cs=2][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:280px; background-image: url(http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4152/5034955807_5dde17e3f0.jpg);] Artemis | | 20.5 CUTE CHARMTried to Tackle Slakoth out the way! |

The Slakoth smiled when the Skitty came and smacked hard onto him. He slowly rolled off the bridge and fell into the water, taking a nice little dip while he was at it and clearing the space for the trainer to go by. >That's all you had to do!< He yelled once more as he began to slack off in the water and just enjoy himself. The world outside of his little circle didn't exist right now, the only thing that mattered was him being lazy and slacking off. The Vigoroth saw the Skitty attack his companion and he suddenly gasped also. He didn't expect the pokemon to actually go through with it but here he was... >Impressive. You sure are ballsy!< He said as he went back to jabbing and doing whatever he was doing before. ::Vigoroth:: Male | Level 18 Attacks: Scratch, Focus Energy, Encore, Uproar Personality: Very active, always moving.
