It was a pretty chill day. A day that could be used to relax. Despite that, Tristan was at the trainer's lounge preparing for a battle. He knew that deep down he needed to train and with other people as well. "Uggh.....man, I really wish I didn't have to deal with other people....but what choice do I have.....may as well see what other trainers do with their pokemon." He figured that it would be hassle if he didn't talk with other trainers about breeding and training techniques. And with a flick of the wrist, he sent out a brand new pokemon on the team: a shiny gligar that flew around the area. "Alright....we'll see how this go....I'm your new trainer, Tristan...welcome to the team...." The gligar glided before looking at his trainer. He glided over, looking at the trainer's eyes. <If you think you can hold me back just because ya own me, YOU GOT ANOTHER THING COMING, TRAINER! YOU BETTER NOT HOLD ME BACK!> He shouted, whipping his tail at Tristan. Tristan rubbed his cheek in pain as he saw the gligar glide off into the ring again. "...never said I was gonna hold you back...." Great....an angry, explosive tempered pokemon. Just what he needed.... on standbyOOC: What kind of battle? 3 vs 3 or something? Your call.

(3 Vs. 3 is fine.) Aizhan walked in to the trainer's lounge to check out what other trainers are wanting to battle. He really wanted to get some training on against others, so that he could prepare for the gym leader a second time. After checking the list, he saw one that seemed right for his needs at the moment. "Tristan, huh?" he said to himself as he signed up for that battle and walked into the room. As he approached the arena area, he closed his eyes. "Let's go. Xochitl, let's start this battle good!" He said, tossing a pokeball down, releasing his Sigilyph out to the arena. "It's your match. You go first." he said while raising his arm as a gesture to go ahead. ::Sigilyph::

"Fair enough. Alright, Gligar. You ready?> He said to the newly obtained gligar at the ring. In response, the gligar pinched his claws a few times, attempting to generate a sort of fear factor. <You're not going to survive, this battle! HAHA! LEEEEEETS DO IT!!!> Despite his anger, the gligar was still willing to win this battle one way for another. That was good for Tristan, right? "Alright, Gligar. Charge at him with agility then use poison sting!" And that seemed to have transform the gligar's determination to anger. <Want to know what makes me a good gligar? IF I WERE A BAD GLIGAR, I WOULDN'T BE FLOATING HERE BATTLING YOU, NOW WOULD I?!> He shouted, the fierce temper making itself apparent. Nevertheless, he obeyed Tristan's command and rushed the sigilyph. Suddenly, with a quick turn and movement from agility, the gligar fired a barrage of poisoned missiles toward his opponent. used agility speed +1 used poison sting

Aizhan smiled. "Interesting. Let's show what we can do." he said as the poison sting attack hit Xochitl. Although she was hit by repeated needles, she managed to keep her position in the air quite stable. He raised an eyebrow at the Gligar before looking at its trainer. <I won't survive this battle? I have some tricks up my sleeve.> she said, slightly irritated by the Gligar's rudeness.
"Your pokemon is a bit...aggressive. Time to bring it down to size. Xochitl, use Hypnosis and Gust!" Aizhan told his Sigilyph, who quickly shot out hypnotic waves at the Gligar before starting to flap her wings hard, sending a blast of wind at the ground/flying type. <Rather than using your obnoxious words, use action.> she said, trying to shut the pokemon up, even just for a little bit.

Tristan scratched his head at the comment about his gligar, knowing full well that it was true. Sending out a newly obtained pokemon may have been a bad idea on his part, but he needed to train this pokemon one way or another into a good gliscor. However, with what he's seen, it may be better to hold off on the razor fang until after the gligar can control his anger. "Ya...I'm pretty aware." he said, holding up the razor fang for the opponent to see. "I figured I could see if he should deserve to evolve right now....heh, looks like he needs more training."That statement seemed more and more apparent as the battle went on. It seemed as though the gligar just blindly rushed into the attacks, not caring whether he hits or not. <Obnoxious words or not, I'LL SHOW YOU HOW STRONG I AM! DON'T WORRY, I'LL BE GEN-> And suddenly, the gligar jsut fell onto the ground, asleep and actually calm. "ugh......." Tristan said, watching as the gligar was blown away by a gust attack. Tristan just stood there, speechless wondering how a gligar like that just ran into a hypnosis, let alone a gust attack. Was this gligar that new to battle? More importantly, why was Tristan sharing the razor fang to his opponent? Why was he sharing his plan? Maybe he really wanted to learn how to be a better trainer and breeder? Why, he was already gaining experience by battling and whatnot. hit by hypnosis hit by gust speed +1 asleep derped up

Aizhan shrugged. "If you plan to evolve your pokemon, that's fine. Now isn't really the time to be talking about that though." he said, trying to be kind while focusing on the battle. The other trainer's intentions for the battle were okay, but it was slightly awkward that he just blurted it out in the middle of their fight. "Xochitl, use Miracle Eye. Then follow with another gust." he said to his floating pokemon. He was there for a match, not talking about raising or breeding. Xochitl let out a laugh. <Gentle? I don't think you can get more gentle than being fast asleep.> she said as her three eyes glowed blue. After she focused in on the sleeping Gligar, she flapped her wings again, sending bursts of air at the pokemon. <Take a battle a little more seriously.> she commented quietly as her opponent slept. Aizhan shook his head at the sleeping pokemon. "It ran right into the Hypnosis attack..." he thought as he took a deep breath. Obviously it was a new pokemon for the other trainer. Its arrogance made it fall for the status-inducing attack head on. "If he intends to evolve that pokemon right away...that may be a bigger problem for him than he can handle." he continued his thought. Although it was a new pokemon, Aizhan had no intentions on going easy. ::Sigilyph:: Used Miracle Eye and Gust.

Tristan heard what the other trainer meant and said, quickly withdrawing the razor fang into his pocket in surprise. What was he doing with that razor fang anyway? Was it an attempt to ask for help? Maybe he needed some advice? Either way, his opponent was right since now is not the time. "Uuugh....sorry, that was a hassle. Heh." In his head, he started to question whether the timing was a good idea, let alone the idea of sharing the secrets as of now. <Oooh...eeeeh, I'ma....I'ma good gligar.....eh, blarargarwarh....> said the gligar in an dream induced intoxication. It seemed as though he was enjoying the sleep, even if the gligar was flying about from the gust attack. When he landed, all he could do was lie there in a deep slumber. <oooough.....and that's what you get for touching that.>Tristan could only watch as the gligar dropped onto the ground from a gust attack. What was the move the sigilyph used again? Miracle Eye? Why would he use that on a gligar? "An impressive Sigilyph......Gligar, come on! Wake up.......this is becoming a hassle...." He said, watching as the gligar take more and more hits. Hopefully, this won't end up as a humiliating defeat... hit by miracle eye hit by gust speed +1 fast asleep

Aizhan laughed slightly. "No problem. If you want to talk about that outside of battle, I'm fine with that." he said, looking at his Sigilyph. "Now. Gust again!" he said, commanding his weird bird thing. As of right now, he really had a lack of attacking skills. He just prayed that sooner or later Xochitl would learn more moves, as all she really could do to defend herself was make the opponent sleep and slam them with winds. "Like your Gligar, she's fairly new to me, though I've used her before in a few battles." he said, trying to make the other trainer feel better. The only thing that Aizhan really noticed was how the trainer used the word 'hassle' a lot...did he think everything was an issue? Xochitl nodded at the command and flapped her wings hard once again, sending wind blasting towards the Gligar. She really started getting tired of using the same attack over and over. It just wasn't that exciting to her. <Using that attack is REALLY getting old. Quickly.> she commented, hopefully making her trainer hear it. ::Sigilyph:: Used Gust.

Tristan watched as the trainer commanded his Sigilyph with no problem while watching his gligar get hit by a second gust attack. "I suppose we'll figure something out....your sigilyph seems to be obedient....hopefully my gligar will be obedient in that.....come on! Wake up you angry little idiot and use an attack! Otherwise you'll be a bad gligar or gliscor!" That last comment seemed to have done it, as the gligar woke up and was gliding once again. <AS I've said before, if I were a bad gligar, I WOULDN'T BE HERE KICKING ASS, NOW WOULD I?!> He shouted at his trainer, pinching him in the nose. Tristan shouted in pain and stepped back, rubbing his nose. "Goddamit.....don't think you'll evolve early, not until you control that damn temper."<Ah whatever, go suck a gym sock or something.> the gligar said before looking at his opponent. <Like I said before, I'll be gentle!> HE said, using agility once more and rushing for a head on brick break. It may not be the best attack, especially in this situation, but the gligar was too blinded with anger and battle ready to care. hit by gust woke up used agility speed +2 used brick break

Aizhan saw the Gligar hit his trainer and shook his head. "Yep. Really needs some breaking in." he said with a shrug. "As long as you talk to it rudely, it's going to go nowhere. Just a friendly tip." he added, as he watched Xochitl get hit on the head. It didn't do much, but it still hurt her. Maybe I'll help with training the Gligar by hitting it when it acts angry... he thought and gave a slight smirk. "Go ahead and give another gust. This one, don't make it too powerful, but give a little more force than usual." he commanded his Sigilyph. <That's...odd, but alright.> she commented, as she flapped her wings a bit strongly, sending a slightly stronger gust of wind towards the Gligar. She still thought it was odd that her trainer asked for such a specific command. <Gentle and being weak are two different things. If you want to battle, do it normally.> she said, slightly aggrivated. She wasn't going to put up with the Gligar's attitude much longer, if she could help it. ::Sigilyph:: Hit by Brick Break. Used Gust.

I'm a great gligar who can handle his own. I know I can be a great gliscor and YOU can't stop me fro-> Before he could finish, he was suddenly blown away, hitting the wall from a stronger than usual gust attack. That was discouraging, as the Gligar flew back up and looked at his opponent. <Ya kno, thar is a fine art to battlin'. DOING SOMETHING LIKE THAT ISN'T HELPFUL!> He shouted again, flying head first for a poison sting attack. Everything was blocked out from his mind. All he wanted was to beat down this insolent Sigilyph, using a barrage of pins and poison claws at the thing.
Tristan watched as the gligar grew even angrier, and perhaps even...desperate? What was going on with this fly scorpion? "Come on Gligar, get a hold of yourself! Don't just go on and attack head on!"

(OoC: Flying type attacks do normal damage to Ground types.) Xochitl just floated there, not phased by Gligar's outburst. <And what would you know about the 'fine art of battling' ? All you've done is rush in like a moron.> she retorted with a laugh. Her opponent seems to be mostly all bark and no bite. While laughing, she got hit with the poisonous needles. She dropped to the floor quickly, but as she rose, she seemed to be glowing lightly. Aizhan looked around calmly before taking a deep breath. "I know this is weird, but I'm not going to bother battling seriously. Instead, I'm gonna help you get your Gligar in check. It's attitude is really irking me." he said with a slightly clenched fist at his side. He really was annoyed by the Gligar's obnoxious attitude. "Xochitl, use Gust again. If he seems to be too snappy, make it powerful." he commanded his Sigilyph. Xochitl nodded and sent another blast on wind towards the Gligar, but not as hard as the previous one. <No problem.> she quietly responded. Now that she finally heard her trainer's plan, she knew how to go along with it. <You heard my trainer. I am supposed to get you to behave for your own trainer.> she commented. She didn't care for battling normally at that moment, anyway. ::Sigilyph:: Hit by Poison Sting. Miracle Skin activated. Not poisoned. Used Gust.

It did not matter how much damage he took from the gust. He did not consider how effective it was against a sigilyph. His anger has blinded him to the point of unawareness. <Like you can get me to listen to anyone! You make me angry and you need to be punished! Are you calling me a failure?!>
Tristan heard the opposing trainer's words, glaring at him now. That last comment about not battling seriously has gotten to him. "You're not going to battle me seriously? What are you saying? That I need help on something I can do on my own?" He felt as though he was mocked by this trainer. Perhaps the trainer was right, perhaps he was wrong. Nonetheless, he did not need help if it does not involve a serious battle. "I'll show you. GLIGAR, SNAP OUT OF IT! YOU LISTEN TO ME!" |
