<I'm surprised you're still asleep.> The Noctowl muttered after finishing the Sky Attack and landing beside the Fearow. She looked unsure if she was supposed to continue the battle, but she had to keep remembering just how persistent this Fearow could be. What if he came back later to attack her when she wasn't looking, huh? Or her trainer...not that she minded that as much. She still wasn't used to the name he gave her, and she wasn't even going to consider it a permanent name. Her talons poked carefully at the Fearow to see if he would wake up, but that wasn't going to happen was it?
"...yeah, just beat the hell outta it." Susumu shrugged, wondering if a gameboy color would be more entertaining than this. He was getting some of this on camera since he did kind of like the Noctowl, but now it just felt mean. Mimizuku had no problem with this, having a strange enjoyment in beating a long time rival of hers as she tried to peck at his thick skull. Maybe that would give him some common sense!

*SNORE SNORE SNORE* The Fearow had some snoring voice when he was asleep. Unaware of the fact that he was being attacked again the Fearow did nothing as he was hit by Peck. Oh but what's this? The peck hit the Fearow on the head. Suddenly, he jumped up and yelled loudly. The peck had awoken him. Oh bad luck eh? Eh? Eh?
<Hey! That's rotten of you! Attacking me while I'm asleep!> He yelled at the Noctowl. Flapping his wings wildly he squawked and flew at the Noctowl. His beck pecking at the feathers. Though, it wasn't a Peck attack. He was using Pluck, actually trying to take feathers off the other bird Pokemon to cause damage. A odd attack but if the Noctowl had a berry on him the Fearow would gain its effect.

WELP. IT WASN'T ASLEEP ANYMORE. It went like caw caw and they were like oh noooo not the Fearow! Except seriously Mimizuku was surprised that the Fearow woke up right after the peck. She was getting too comfortable attacking a foe of the same level, and ended up getting more of her precious feathers plucked off of her. At least she had a lot of them, and in different layers to stay warm during the cold nights. <How dare you try to take my feathers off, you dirty louse!> The Noctowl exclaimed with a surprised hiss, flying away from the Fearow as she took to the skies once more.
"Get your reflect up! Stay strong, it's gotta be weakening somehow." Somehow, but he didn't know how much. They seemed to be evenly matched, except the Noctowl had superior defense when her Reflect was up. The Fearow got lucky getting her while it was down, but with a loud caw she quickly put it back up.
<I'll show you what a mad momma can do!> Mimizuku hissed, attempting to dive back down and tackle the stubborn father. He was going to learn his lesson yet again, and she had support this time around. Though she could totally do it without a trainer's help. Totally.

Oh crap he angered the Noctowl. She did not look happy...at all! Soon the Feaorw was slammed into by the other flying type. He was knocked out of the air and slammed into the bridge, hard. He groaned. Aching all over his body he struggled to get up. His energy was fading away quickly. Though he managed to get up and tried to attack again.
Getting into the air again he folded his wings to his side and flew towards the Noctowl. His beck cutting through the air and his eyes locked on the Noctowl. The wind wrapped around his body as he went in using Aerial Ace. <I'll show you what a...papa can do!> He cried with the only come back he could think of. Which was fail but hey, he tried.

It kind of looked like they got the Fearow on the run now. The Noctowl endured another hit thanks to the reflect and her constant growls, but Susumu was getting worried. She was still losing health, and he was going to need a potion or two if they were ever going to make it to the baby Hoothoot. Or, ya know, whatever she had. Maybe she adopted things, he had no idea.
"You can take it...but use another Growl." Susumu called up to Mimizuku, wondering if he should just shorten it to Mimi. Well so far he wasn't even calling her by name so far, he was just saying what came naturally to him. The Noctowl agreed, using another harsh cry at the Fearow to cut down his attack power.
<You think you're so bad, don't you? How cute.> Mimizuku said sarcastically, rolling her eyes at the Fearow as she thought about the pain from that last Aerial Ace. It hurt. She had good defenses and all, but she was still only a Pokemon. She then charged ahead with a Tackle attack at the maaad papa.

It was obvious to see. He wasn't holding himself as high and each attempt at movement looked slightly pained. He had to put more effort into each wing flap. He leered at Noctowl as she rushed towards him in a tackle attack. The two great birds made contact with a loud smack and Fearow was pushed backwards by her body. He reached around, trying to use his wings to block behind her so she couldn't get away while he used his beak and claws to perform a fury attack on her. "Even if you beat me... you're no closer to finding those rotten children of yours. They're going to die out here because they have a horrible mother." He bitterly told her, trying to break her down and make her lose her concentration.

Mimizuku could feel the leer on her body after making her move against her old rival, flying a bit farther away to take a breather after all of this strenuous exercise. The reflect might have doubled her defenses, but she wasn't invincible against the Fearow. The battle between the two giant birds couldn't last too much longer, as both were showing signs of weakness. Both were stubborn however, being parents with children to fight and defend, and neither were willing to just give up. <What...?> She gasped in surprise at the Fearows claim, turning to look at him in shock as he charged up with his Fury Attack.
<How do you know I'm looking for them?! They're back in their nest, like they should be you fiend.> She hissed, now just ticked that the Fearow was making things up. Going as low as to make her worry about the safety of her babies, when they should've been fine...at least that's what she hoped. She managed to dodge two of the five strikes, but the first Fury Attack that connected had been critical against her underbelly. The other two stabbed at both of her wings, making her wince from the pain.
<Why you...> She growled at him, showing just how furious she was as she flew over his large, towering body. The Noctowl was preparing a strike from above, as she lowered upon him in mid-air, aiming a peck at his back. Susumu was just watching with an awed expression, never seeing birds just duke it out like this before. Kind of frightening, really. She'd probably need a potion after this.

If she became worried and began making mistakes... all the better for him! The angry Fearow was growing tired though and he wasn't sure what else he'd be able to survive. The experienced fighter didn't let his weaknesses show however, mental battling was as important as physical battling! He'd continue to act tough, never letting her know just how close he was to fainting. He clacked his long beak together a few times before he took up to the skies for an aerial ace attack. His wings began to glow slightly as he brought the energy of the sky into them. He circled around and began flying towards Noctowl for an impressive looking attack.

Hmm, Mimizuku could really use more attacks. It seemed pretty pointless to go in for another Sky Attack when the Fearow was getting this weak, despite that cocky nature of his. She glared at him, a longtime rival even though they typically insulted each other for fun. They never meant much harm by it, but he seemed to be taking in pleasure from getting under her feathers for once. Irked her a good deal, that was for sure. At least she had the pleasure to peck him where she wanted him, before flying off and leaving him to chase after her. She wasn't even close to giving up, especially with her reflect up and his attack so pitifully low.
<Weird like always, aren't you?> She grumbled, panting after making her last move. The Fearow was coming up with another Aerial Ace, and Susumu cried out for her to dodge it. The problem was, she couldn't figure out how to dodge it. First he was there, and then he was suddenly here, and nailed her in mid-air. She nearly landed on the ground from the blow, but caught herself and flew back up. <Ugh! I can't stand this!> Mimizuku complained, trying to tackle him out of the skies.
"Just uh, keep doing this." Susumu called awkwardly, stopping his cell phone from recording any more video of the battle. As cool as it was, it was repetitive with her basic moves. Sure, he could've went for Hypnosis or something, but it just didn't seem worth it.

+1 to Noctowl
The Fearow flew back a bit at the Noctowl's comment. <I-I am not weird!> He protested. Flapping his wings in protest. Oh no he wasn't weird at all...
The comment and the Tackle caught the Fearow off guard, being all ego like he was focusing on the female bird's comment that he didn't see her come at him. The Tackle knocked him right out of the air, sending him to the ground with a thud. Scratches and bruises were all over his body. He struggled to get to his feet, if he could, and stared at the Noctowl. <I...I'll get you back one day....!> He exclaimed before falling over. Hitting the ground the Fearow was done battling, and hopefully done bother you.

That actually seemed to do the trick! The final move by Mimizuku's tiring body was enough to take down that fearsome Fearow. He fell with a loud thud on the ground, and Susumu ran up to him to make sure he was completely down. Seriously, what a giant bird! He kind of wanted to catch this one, so he took out a Pokeball. The only issue was that the Noctowl landed in between the pair, raising her wings with a defensive look towards her trainer. <Leave him, he has kids.> She warned, giving the blonde a serious look that said she was not kidding around.
Susumu flinched with the sphere still in his hand, and her eyes followed his hands every movement until it was finally back on his belt. He raised his hands up innocently, meaning he wasn't going to try any funny stuff. The matter between the birds confused him, but he wasn't going to question it. "Well, you got pretty injured. Just let me use this potion, then we can look again." He sighed with concern and worry, mostly for himself because this Noctowl was still fairly wild at heart. He approached her carefully, stroking her feathers as she flinched uncomfortably at the contact. She didn't like this kind of communication with humans, but as the Potion was sprayed, she could feel the healing effects.
She was just going to have to bear with it for now, because he had the tools to get her back to her nest without worry. Mimizuku looked at him oddly as he finished using up the potion, and snuck it into his bag so he could refill it later on. "Good to go." He nodded at her, a signal, and she suddenly flapped her wings right in front of him, making him cower from fright! Susumu wasn't used to birds, what weird Pokemon! She was soaring through the skies towards her home, and at a good speed too.
"Oh man! Wait! Come on, wait!" Susumu whined, grabbing his bag and chasing after the Noctowl on foot. It was a hard thing to do, but he kept looking up and she was still in his sight. They were going to have to make it through this somehow, even if she didn't like him.

What is this? Two Hoothoot missing? When the Noctowl and Shamu arrived in the nest of the baby Hoothoot, it seemed that two of them were missing. The rest were safe but a little startled by what happened just recently. Just a little below, a few wings flew off. One of them was from a Pidgey and another was from a Hoothoot. That would explain one of the babies, but what ever happened to the second one? Now what? Summary: 1. You arrived at the nest, all the hoothoot are startled. 2. Two hoothoot are missing. 3. In one direction you see the wings of a Pidgey and a Hoothoot... Where is the other one though?

There it was! Her nest was right there, with two of her little darlings looking grateful to see her! She fluttered into the nest with a relieved sigh, nuzzling them affectionately until she blinked. Wait a second, the other two were missing. She looked at them all and realized that it was the oldest two that were missing, and they happened to know how to fly. These little ones were a bit too weak to do that just yet, but she was worried. They didn't run off to play, did they? There was just this nagging suspicion as her eyes scanned the area with her Foresight.
Just where were they? Susumu ran up to the base of the tree, leaning up against it and panting like a dog. It was just so much running around these days, it felt like a marathon of some kind. He slid down to the ground, sweating and wondering if everything was ok up there.
<Not here! Not even close by!> Mimuzuku chattered nervously, hopping around the edge of the nest when she couldn't see anyone else in sight. She thought she heard the flapping of wings, but she couldn't leave her two little ones behind.
"What? Are some missing?" Susumu called out, sensing her panic and distress. She chirped back a loud, affirmative cry that was mostly to herself as she hugged her Hoothoots. Oh gosh, that wasn't good. "Ok, you stay here. Protect them. You should be fine. I'll take a look around." He already thought he heard the flapping of wings before they arrived, so he started to jog slowly in that direction. Ugh, he really wished his Noctowl didn't fly so fast...

In the area a little bit north of where Shamu was running, a Pidgey held the Hoothoot in between his legs as he flew off. The Pidgey wasn't really trying to harm or eat the Hoothoot, rather it just to send a message to the mother saying that she was no longer the queen of the nest. And instead the queen of the nest was his leader, a Pidgeot who had not come out of hiding ever since the Noctowl beat his sorry butt. This angered this Pidgey and for that, he decided to teach the Noctowl a lesson by stealing one of her babies. From a distance, she began to see a yellow trainer running up to him, he sort of looked like a pikachu in some senses. This intimidated him as he was not expecting to fight a trainer, nor did he expect to fight the Noctowl for that matter. But he knew he had to send them away and send a message. Quickly he sent a gust toward Shamu in hopes of blowing him away. >Take that!< He exclaimed. ::Pidgey:: Level 16 | Male Attacks: Gust, Sand-attack, Tackle, Quick Attack Personality: He is a minion of the Pidgeot who was beaten up and embarrassed by the Noctowl. Seeing a Pidgey and Hoothoot not far off, he was able to get what was going on. The frightened Hoothoot was most likely Mimizuku's kid, and that Pidgey was bullying it somehow. He retaliated by taking Ken's Pokeball off of his belt, but the Gust attack blew him backwards. The sphere rolled right out of his hands, onto the soft grass, and he scrambled to pick it up before it was lost in any of the neighboring ponds. Holding onto it with a relieved sigh, he then turned to glare ominously at the Pidgey. "You know, I put up with quite a bit of crap because of you." He grumbled as a warning to the bird, thinking that it was weaker due to its size.
"Ken, kick that feathered butt." Susumu was staring intently at the Pidgey, and the Hoothoot that was hiding underneath its legs was definitely going to be an issue. "Don't hit the Hoothoot, just go with a Mega Punch." He decided, since the other attacks seemed risky. The Geodude was called upon the scene with a feisty grin, punching his two hands together with a confident look up at the sky. Two featherbrains, huh? He could take them both on!
<Just watch me.> He cried, seeing that the Pidgey was low enough on the ground for him to punch. He hopped as high as a heavy rock could and attempted to smack that bird in the face with a single fist. His eyes narrowed with concentration to make sure his aim wasn't off.

The rock hard punch connected with the Pidgey and suddenly he fell to the ground and dropped the Hoothoot in the process. Since they were so close to the ground, it did not do much damage to the poor bird type. But nevertheless, the Hoothoot began to let out a big cry after falling on the floor. >I just want my mommy! WAAAAHHHH!< He said which annoyed the Pidgey a bit, but not as much as getting punched by a Geodude. >Dude, what's your problem? This doesn't concern you!< He said, grabbing a handful of sand and pushing it towards the Geodude with his wings. Then he proceeded in picking up the Hoothoot again, who had cowering in the fetal position. Better stop him before he reaches the Hoothoot... With the Mega Punch landing the strike on the flying bird, Ken had managed to successfully separate the Pidgey from its prize. That darn Hoothoot fell a bit painfully to the ground from what he could see, but the chick was going to have to get over it. This Geodude clearly had better priorities than to care for such a dimwitted moron—ack! Sand Attack! Get it out of his eyes someone! Please help! He hopped back and forth in pain as his eyes watered up from the sand invasion. It was so sudden and made his eyes all sore, and blinking as he tried to move his hands away from them, he noticed how sore they were gonna keep being for the rest of this match. Agh!
”Hang on, Hoothoot. Come here.” Susumu whispered as he tried to approach the bird, but the Pidgey was approaching fast. ”Come on, your mom’s waiting for ya.” He dove after the bird in a near heroic slide—except he missed. He was only a few inches behind the bird, leaving the Pidgey to get the Hoothoot in its talons. But it wasn’t about to get away yet! Getting up and feeling the grass stains on his elbows and legs, he glared at Ken to get into action.
”Stop being a brat! Rock Polish and Rollout on the Pidgey!” He ordered with a small whimper of his own, but he’d be damned to admit that he was in any pain from that fall. The Geodude snapped up from the command and instantly began to roll around and around in a circle, giving him a glossy finish to his rocky body. With a determined glance up at the air, with the Pidgey still decently low, he started to roll at a speedy pace towards the flying type. Hopefully he would be fast enough to make the hit!

The increase in speed and hit from the super effective move was simply too much for the Pidgey who was a bit higher now in the air but still relatively close to the trainer and the Geodude. The smack hit him hard and he instantly dropped the Hoothoot again, this time falling from an even higher location, onto a patch of grass where it just stopped moving completely. It seemed this fall had knocked it unconscious, which was a bad thing because the pokemon then became hard to see in the fold of grass... Pidgey's keen eyes made it easier for him to spot it, but he was too preoccupied at the moment to worry about the Hoothoot. His job was just to bring it away from the Noctowl, if it is lost here then his job would be complete. He didn't have to pick it up or anything. Wincing from his pain, the Pidgey began to throw more sand at the Geodude as he tried to take flight again. But quickly fell shortly. It seemed the Geodude had damaged one of his wings, preventing him from flying at the moment. >Oh commander Pidgeot... Where are you when I need you most?< He asked. ::Pidgey:: Level 16 | Male Attacks: Gust, Sand-attack, Tackle, Quick Attack Personality: He is a minion of the Pidgeot who was beaten up and embarrassed by the Noctowl. Susumu grinned when the Pidgey was hit by the super effective rollout, freeing the Hoothoot from those demon talons. It was a good thing, because now the chick could fly away back to its nest. That was the plan at least, but the bird kept falling and falling. Gasping at what he might be witnessing, he started to run in the direction where the Hoothoot was falling, but it was too late. It had collided with the ground and wasn’t moving around in the tall grass. He clicked his tongue before ruffling his hand through his blonde hair, glaring at all of this freaking grass. ”Shit.” He spat, knowing the Noctowl would be ticked off if she knew about this.
He had no choice but to search for the chick himself. So he started to go on all fours, feeling the ground very carefully to see if he could touch the Hoothoot without stepping on it. It probably would’ve been a better idea to send out another Pokémon to help out the search party, but he didn’t realize that until a little bit of searching later. Well duh, he nearly hit himself. Who would be good for the job? He was thinking Masaaki, because the fox was awfully good at finding things. Himeko would’ve been good too, due to her levitate ability. ”Yo, Masaaki. Help me find a Hoothoot.” He ordered with a hushed whisper, letting the Vulpix out with a stern gaze.
<Hoothoot? Why would you care about one of those?> The fox asked upon being released, scratching behind his ear as he looked around the tall grass in confusion. Whoa, Susumu was on all fours. Was this a military battle? He stood up on his hind legs like a meerkat, looking at the battle between Ken and the Pidgey with surprise. Oh geez, what was this. This was just weird. The rock got a sand attack to the face, though he couldn’t tell exactly, and Ken started to wobble in his path. The rollout continued like normal, aimed at the Pidgey once more to try and score some more hits. He must’ve been desperate to be rolling around like a toy, the fox thought with a snicker.
”Come on, really. Help out.” Susumu glared at the fox, using his hand to force the Vulpix’s nose to the ground. Masaaki snorted in surprise, before walking through the grass. He could probably find some dumb bird in here; it couldn’t be that hard for his super sniffer to pick up on! With two looking for the one bird, their chances had to be better.
Plot: Find the missing Hoothoot - 1 is here - 1 is missing { Ken } (Speed +2)(Accuracy -2) Level 18.5, Male Sturdy|Rock Head |Magnitude|Defense Curl|Mud Sport|Mega Punch| |Stealth Rock|Rock Polish|Rollout|Fire Blast Personality: Sassy. Ken acts like a bit of a snob and a know-it-all, but gets extremely frustrated and immature when he is wrong. He'll even get into a hissy fit, as if that would correct the situation. Generally he is kind hearted and often means well, but his emotions get the best of him. Rollout + Watching remaining chicks + Looking for fainted Hoothoot

~ beginning to weaken Level 16 | Male Attacks: Gust, Sand-attack, Tackle, Quick Attack Personality: He is a minion of the Pidgeot who was beaten up and embarrassed by the Noctowl. He holds a grudge and for that, kidnapped one of her babies. Note: Can't fly at the moment... Hurt wing in Roll Out.
Hit by Roll Out (SE). used tackle.
Level 15 | Male Attacks: Tackle, Growl, Foresight, Hypnosis, Peck, Uproar Personality: Although at level 15, he is incredibly weak for his level. He was held captive and is incredibly scared at the moment. Also one of the babies of the Noctowl (duh)
squirming near Vulpix Intense battle was intense, but terribly one-sided. Pidgey still was unable to obtain flight. He hopped away from the Geodude desperately. "Oh come on dudes... I was just messing around with Hoothoot. I was going to return him..." He begged and pleaded when he was smacked with another rollout attack. He groaned and laid spread out in the dirt, squished like roadkill on the ground. With a determined grunt he lifted himself to his feet and began awkward walking-running along the ground to tackle the rock.
Baby Hoothoot was beginning to stir a bit, although he was still unconscious. His movements were enough to move the grass and could probably be noticed by either his mother or by the Vulpix.
