As Neon was sprayed with another Water Gun, she found herself struggling to stay afloat with the heavy Gravity surrounding her. Instead of thinking like a normal, sane Pokemon that was tamed, she threw herself into the concrete once more. The confusion wasn't helping her any, but the water gun was definitely a bigger problem. Seeing there wasn't much he could do at the moment, Seamus flipped open his Pokedex to glance at this water type foe again. Chinchou seemed to have an ability called Volt Absorb, which he wasn't too keen on seeing it in action. Sure, he liked to experiment, but he did have work to do that involved getting farther in this region.
"Take the hit Xenon. Worthless." He sighed, rubbing his temples as the Pineco flinched at that remark. Kindle looked confused as he sat on his trainer's shoulder, but the Pineco knew he was being insulted. They all were. The Quick Claw hidden in his shell began to radiate with energy as he hopped up and down in a rage.
<What. What?! Don't teach that child such things! Last thing I need, we need, is another you running around!> The Pineco spat, glaring hard at his trainer as his defenses were lowered. Then an unexpected slam to his side sent him rocking back and forth, and he was just getting ticked off.
He first snapped at the Wooper with a Bug Bite, but then started to hop up and down like a child having a temper tantrum. He flipped out, fo shizzle, and this poor Wooper looked as if he was going to be taken for a little ride.

The young trainer smiled with a bit of glee as the Magnemite hurt himself in confusion. "Okay Sparky, use another Water Gun!" He did love that attack so much anyways! Sparky's twin lights glowed brightly as she puffed out her cheeks with water and then sprayed it all towards the grounded Magnemite. Meanwhile Wooper was twitching with frustration. Two attacks came at him. First he was chomped on by the strange pine cone and pounded by this frustrating frustration attack! He laid on the ground for a moment, trying to find the energy within himself to get up and fight the pain and poison. With a sigh he lifted himself up out of the dirt while a command was shouted from behind him. "SLAM ATTACK! HIYAH!" Splash got himself up and ran foreword, trying to slam his body into the Pineco. <HIYAH!> He echoed his trainer.

The Wooper and those Slam attacks were annoying, but Seamus had to keep reminding himself that the toxic was biding its time. It would eventually go down, but for now he had to keep stalling at it. The best way to do that, he figured, would be with a powerful Bide and then a protect. That was the plan at least, stall for the quick claw and hope it was enough. If not, then it would probably be a check mate if the kid was smart enough to play his cards right. He glanced back at the Magnemite, which seemed to be more coherent after another spray of chilling water. She looked a bit pained to take it, but she was fine. For now, at least.
"A Light Screen will help us in the long run...go ahead and use a Sonicboom on the Chinchou too." Man, he kind of wished he had a tooth pick or something to chew on right about now. The Magnemite did as she was told, spinning her magnets to generate a screen to cover both Xenon and herself, weakening all of those mean special attacks. The Pineco just endured a physical Slam, and sadly that wouldn't protect him at all. As Neon twitched and blew a speedy wind at the water type, Seamus waited for Xenon to get annoyed with him.
<...>
"..."
They both paused, and Seamus let out a sly grin. Xenon was definitely waiting for a command, and he wasn't getting one. It was annoying him, most likely. As the Pineco grumbled about his abuse, Seamus let loose the order. "Glad you practiced your biding. Now use it for real." The Pineco rolled his eyes at that, so lame right? He was probably waiting to use that line for a while, specifically to torture him. Ugh. The Pineco braced himself for the next attacks, sitting still like a dumb duck.

The Young Trainer saw Xenon simply laying still, biding it's time and not attacking which confused him a bit and also made him unprepared for the sonic boom that came and smacked Sparkle. The attack hurt but she was still fine for now, not as badly hurt as she could have been... Or would have been... >Sparky, Confuse Ray on that Pineco that is biding it's time. Lets mess with it a bit.<[ He said, chuckling as he could only imagine what a stupid confused Pineco would be like. "Now another Water Gun on the Magnemite!" He said and she quickly created enough voltage on her twin lights to send another small water stream at the Magnemite. The Light Screen hurt the effects of this attack, but hopefully the confusion will be their advantage. Splash on the other hand was quickly struck with another poison and it became clear that he was weakening, and weakening fast. "Okay Mud Shot! HI-YA!" He said and Splash quickly took a blob of mud and threw it at the Magnemite. "Yee-HAW!" The young trainer said, ecstatic after his two moves. ::Chinchou:: Summary: Hit by Sonic Boom. A dumb duck indeed. The Pineco was left with a confusion status during his long wait, but apparently he wasn't doing anything to warrant attacking himself this turn. Pure luck this time. Neon as well had awfully good hax, because she was coherent again. There was probably a good chance she'd snap out of her confusion soon, but that wasn't something to be determined yet.
"It looks like both of us like confusing others." Seamus noted, seeing that Neon didn't really have many strong non electrical attacks on her. She was more of an annoyer, and something that could deal a final blow if need be. Xenon had a similar role, but was a bit bulkier.
"Supersonic the Chinchou, give it some of its own medicine while we still have gravity." He ordered, noticing it was going to lift after this turn. Everyone was going to have a hard time dodging in this environment, which was probably bad for him as well. Neon started to make loud squeaky sounds at the electrical fish, trying to startle her into the same confusion she was in. "Sonicboom the Wooper." Anything to weaken the one with ground type moves.
Poor Neon took both a water bath and a mud bath in the same turn, but the light screen halved both of them. It was as if she was resistant to the water gun, and the mud bomb had done neutral damage yet got in her eye. Enough to lower her accuracy. She added in a sonicboom for the weakening Wooper, doing her best to let the Toxic finish him off.

"Good job guys!" He encouraged his poke'mon with the heartfelt statement. Sparky and Splash both seemed invigorated by the comment. Sparky's lights blinked and flickered when she was hit with the supersonic. She suddenly felt dizzy and basically plopped down into the dirt and mud on the ground, unable to keep herself upright. "Let's try and take out the Pineco while he'd biding guys! Go for it!" He cheered on. Although Sparky, trying her best to squirt a stream of water at the Pineco, ended up discharging a bunch of electricity and hurting herself. Splash, recovered from the sonicboom impact, was the only one of the two able to get an attack in. He wriggled his tail back and forth, back and forth, using tail whip on both poke'mon. He then ran foreword to slam his body into the Pineco as hard as he could. He wondered how ridiculous he trainer was feeling to try and take out the Pineco, it was a huge risk while he was biding like this.

The gravity wore off, and Seamus was able to stand a little straighter and breathe a bit easier. Neon hovered a bit higher, and Xenon didn't look as stressed from his own attack. Even better, Neon snapped out of her confusion for the time being. That only left a random time bomb with Xenon, who might not even attack this turn.
The Wooper looked tired, but Seamus wasn't convinced that it was going down very easily. They needed that bide to work, especially with the water type lowering their defenses. Poor Xenon, he was thwacked in the head with the slam, doing even more damage than before. The light screen couldn't even protect them, sadly enough. Even worse for the Pineco, he hit himself in his confusion. It only made the bide last even longer, but it didn't seem completely ruined. The only thing was that he missed the quick claw working again...but they could live.
"Hurt it with Sonicboom." The attack felt weird as it rolled off of his tongue. What a silly name. A sonic thing that boomed. It didn't even make a boom like sound. Neon's magnets whirled about as they unleashed another attack at the Wooper, concentrating on taking the little guy out.

"NO! SPLASH!" The boyish voice echoed with pain across the battle field. Rather than safely recall his Wooper he ran out to the blue poke'mon who had literally just collapsed in the mud following a sonicboom attack. He scooped Wooper up in his arms and knelt in the dirt, the mud all over his knees. He looked up to Sparky. "It's all up to you dear! Use Water Gun on the Magnemite." She nodded and rushed across the battle field, zooming with great speed towards the other part-electric type. From her lips came a steady, strong stream of water aimed directly for the Magnemite. She looked absolutely determined to avenge the Wooper who had just fallen.

It was nice that the Wooper finally went down, but it probably would've been smarter to poison that annoying Chinchou. Oh well, Seamus shrugged. They probably would've tried to dodge it anyways, and that seemed like a waste of an attack. Neon was hit by the Water Gun, but because of the Light Screen, she might as well have been resistant to the move. She shrugged it off with an annoyed crackle, worried that she would get rust if this kept up.
Xenon was fed up with his bide lasting so long, and with a pained groan he released the attack onto the only remaining foe left on the field. It was a bit of a weak glow of energy, only enduring a slam with lowered defense and self confusion damage, but it should've hurt the Chinchou for what it was worth. Seamus was pleased with how things were going, because his Pokémon were clearly stronger this time around.
"Try and hit it with a Tackle." He advised Neon, wanting her to get up and personal with the Chinchou instead of long distance attacks. The Magnemite buzzed as she flew towards the water type with a body of steel, just trying to get some damage on it.

The two attacks suddenly slammed hard onto Sparky and his boyish attitude gave in after. He started to jump up and down and started to pout greatly. "No! No! No! I can't lose! I can't lose! No! No!" He said as he returned his fainted Chinchou. "No! You must have! I'll turn you in!" He screamed again, very upset at the turn of events. Turn him in? Was this kid serious? He wasn't sure what was going to happen to him, but it was a kid's word against a creepy 40 year old. He was thinking it was maybe best to sneak out of here for now, and with that he returned both Pokemon back into their spheres. They did good, he thought. He liked the attacks they had currently, and even if his Magnemite couldn't use her best attacks against ground types or electric types, there was still something she could do.
He was starting to think that he should challenge the Gym, but he honestly didn't know what he was up against. Was he supposed to do doubles or singles? How many Pokemon total did this Gym Leader have? He didn't know any of it, so he was going to have to ask around.
Before he could start asking random people, Kindle cooed as he pointed at the purple monkey, not understanding what he was saying, but finding him pretty silly looking. The Hoppip fluttered down in greeting with a big smile, wondering if the stranger would do anything interesting. Tell jokes? Juggle? Dance? His tail flicked in amusement as Seamus glanced at that curious trouble maker. It was an Aipom...? He heard the Professor had a monkey infestation, and maybe this one escaped.

He watched the Hoppip with a deep curiosity. He had often seen masses of these light pink poke'mon being blown along on the breeze over the bridge. But he had never seen one so close up. He reached around with his tail hand to lightly bump the Hoppip and see if he could bounce him on his tail because he was such a light weight poke'mon. Of course Aipom was careful to be gentle. He wasn't a fool and he certainly didn't want to injure the young poke'mon. Being serious and stern didn't mean that he was going to pound everything into the ground. Rashness was a sign of immaturity. Meanwhile his eyes wandered towards Seamus. Finally, a trainer that wasn't some loud ten year old, running around and screaming at the top of their lungs. He nodded at the trainer, acknowledging him and just how awesome he was.

Kindle blinked with a dumbfounded expression as the Aipom's hand shaped tail moved closer to him, scooping him up. Suddenly he was gently bounced into the air, and he started to smile. Hey, this was fun! Fun was fun fun fun! He added a little splash to it as well as his leaves began to spiral in circles like a helicopter. He was perfectly still in the air, since there wasn't too much of a breeze today. The last thing Seamus wanted to do was to chase after a Hoppip...especially because he would probably jump into a river for the thing, but that wasn't for anyone else to know.
<Hahaha!> Kindle laughed, feeling very blissful as he landed back on the Aipom's tail. The older Pokemon was definitely in his good book now, and he grinned at the monkey. He liked this game for sure, especially when Seamus's other Pokemon wouldn't play with him. The poor thing was fun deprived.
"You're a lot different from most Aipoms." Seamus acknowledged the nod with a surprised look, before nodding back. It seemed as if they both found something unusual but relaxing in the other, and Seamus even forgot that that pesky kid was going to call the authorities on him. "It's a good thing." He added, but it wasn't as if the Pokemon could understand him. Good lord, people couldn't hold decent conversations with Pokemon. Never.

Although the Aipom was stern and very serious, he always appreciated an energetic pokemon as it reminded him of his past when he had that much energy also. He smiled gracefully and began to bounce the Hoppip some more as it seemed to enjoy it. He even began to manuever his tail around to have it touch each of the three "hands" so that it would feel like a roller coaster event, going from a high point to a low point and then back to a high point. He enjoyed being a good role model to a young pokemon and also enjoyed being the one who gave them something to smile about. He also felt a real connection to Seamus when he gave him a nod. It seemed this trainer was on the same page with him, serious and stern. They both had age and experience so this was a common ground for both of them. >So what brings you both here?< He asked in a very deep and manly voice. ::Aipom:: Summary: Still bouncing the Hoppip Gender: Male Level: 22 Attacks: Scratch, Tail Whip, Baton Pass, Sand-Attack, Astonish, Tickle, Fury Swipes, Swift Personality: Very serious and very stern

Kindle was enjoying the Aipom's company, for each time he was touched he was tapped a bit higher into the air. For such a fragile Pokemon, the Hoppip was taking it very well. He giggled as he was rolled around like he was on a Aipom made roller coaster, and started to try to do spins as he was lifted into the air. There were some strangers walking by and taking a look at the scene with interest, since Aipoms happened to be a bit uncommon around these parts.
He was a bit surprised hearing the Aipom speak, and started to crouch down on his knees (ow, his lower back!) to get a better look at the Pokemon. It had a cute look to him, despite that very low voice, and a serious/aged disposition. Perhaps it was a leader at one point, because from his experience in the zoos of Cheyenne, most monkeys were insane poo flingers.
Good thing this one wasn't. He wondered what it was saying though, because it wasn't talking to Kindle for sure. "I don't have much experience with Pokemon, so excuse that." Why was he being so formal? Was this Aipom commanding respect somehow?
"You know this place better than I do. Where do you think is the best place to find a fossil?" It was a general question. He heard rumors that you could find Kabuto around here, and even if he wanted to ask around about the Gym Leader, he didn't think the Aipom could help him much on that.

"You're looking for a Kabuto?" Aipom quickly asked in reply. The vague question alone wasn't enough to stop the surprises this monkey had. He watched Hoppip soar up in the air and spin around. Delicately he held his hand up to catch him on his large hand-tail while he was spinning so that he'd rotate on the small point like a little music box doll. The serious monkey didn't seem to mind bringing joy to this little creature by playing with him. It was actually a rather calm... fun. He continued to speak directly to the trainer, but was making eye contact with the Hoppip. "I haven't seen one recently... but everyone I've seen before has been in the muddy beaches near the bridge." It wasn't often that Kabuto was seen around here... but it wasn't unheard of either. Punks tended to scare off the creatures and no Kabuto stuck around here very long. "I'd suggest starting your search there... if you don't find one maybe at least you'll find a Dilbur who could help you look."

The Aipom's words went right over his head. The Aipom probably forgot he couldn't actually understand him, but Seamus had hoped he would at least get written directions, or a finger point. Nope, not from this stone cold Aipom that was too boring to move a lot. At the most, the Aipom gave him a somewhat positive reaction. The Aipom saw a fossil like Pokemon somewhere, and from what he heard on a passing rumor, the only fossil Pokemon native to this area were Kabuto. He was very interested in adding one to his collection, but if they were simply that rare he would be content enough to get a glimpse of one. There were other ways of getting them after all.
<Dr...> Kindle stopped playing to look intently on the Aipom's lips, trying to sound out a word that stood out to him. He was somewhat able to get what the monkey was saying, even if he was about 2 months old. Baby Pokemon were just smarter than baby humans after all, but he was simply stuttering over the word he wanted to say. Oh well, he knew what his daddy wanted anyways! He flew over to his trainer and tugged on his sleeve, trying to lead him somewhere else. 'Come on, follow me!' Kindle thought with a pleading look, and Seamus looked a bit surprised. Was Kindle able to understand more of the language now? "Thank you for your help." He nodded at the Aipom, before being led by Kindle's strange sense of direction.

Kabuto Plot: Notes to Mod, please don't send out the Kabuto so fast... But can give traces here and there The Aipom waved goodbye as Seamus was led by Kindle down the muddy beaches near the bridge to find the so called Kabuto. They did not see a Kabuto in the area but they did find an empty hard shell lying around which looked very similar to the one that Kabuto usually wears. It seemed that a Kabuto was spotted here, but the question was how long was the Kabuto spotted here? In the distant, a non-important person spotted Seamus around the area and quickly saw his pokeballs and even Kindle and quickly asked him for help. "Help mister, my street has been in ruins due to blobs of mud that came out of nowhere. Can you please help us find the culprit?" He asked Seamus. It seemed the Pokémon who threw the mud had long left because the street had been turned upside down looking for it, but it had to still be around... First the empty shell, then blobs of mud (signaling the use of mud shot). Was it true? Was there a Kabuto somewhere nearby? Care to check out the nearby street?

Seeing an empty hard shell in the muddy beach, Seamus knelt down to examine it with a gentle hand. He slowly lifted it up, as if expecting some kind of creature to emerge from it and attack him, but there was nothing there. Kindle looked around at the beaches curiously, wondering what a Drillbur was and where they could find one, but that shell was catching his eye. If his daddy was interested in it, then wasn't it important? Seamus had the old dried up shell in his arms now, dusting off the sand to get a better look at it.
"Reminds me of a Kabuto...such an old Pokémon though. Why would they be around here?" He looked at the beach and frowned. This seemed like a relatively good area for Pokemon, but Kabuto specifically? He wasn't sure about that one. It would need a more humid environment, and at the top of his head, he couldn't think of any place in the city that would work out like that.
"Oh, you want to play with this?" He asked Kindle, who was staring at the shell intently. It looked like a hat! Or a cape! What was it though? Seamus handed it down to the Hoppip, and he was instantly weighed down by the item. It wasn't too heavy, but flying wasn't going to happen any time soon. He enjoyed the shade of the shell and gave his trainer a wave and laugh, showing it was useful.
Then a potential customer came up. Now that was interesting. "Possibly, I can. I'll bill you later if I can do it successfully." He grunted at the non-important person, knowing that he could probably find him around here. He lived on this street. "I know where you live now." He commented with an amused smile, motioning for Kindle to follow him. The Hoppip grinned, dragging the Kabuto shell that was on his head across the ground because he was too short to wear it completely.

"It's back!" Said a deep, gruff, and husky voice. A large, rotund man in a white uniform with a Pelipper nearby was shouting as he saw Kindle rolling down the street in his Kabuto swag. Pelipper was covered in mud and incredibly dirty looking. Seamann Norton pointed at the Hoppip and began shouting something incoherent. He stopped short when he realize that it was only a Kabuto shell and not an actual Kabuto. "Jesus son. I thought the creature had come back here looking for more trouble. " He said Seamus while still pointing at Kindle in his shell costume. "But it's just a little Hoppip. I guess he can't do that much damage!" He said with a look of relief on his face. The muddy Pelipper nearby grumbled, working hard to clean her feathers of the mud and grime. Prior to Seamus's arrival on the street she had gotten into a fight with the Kabuto in question, and they'd just chased him off. They didn't care where he'd gone.
