We learn to make peace from our mothers, we learn to make war from our fathers. We learn to talk from our families, and we learn to listen from our neighbors. We grow from our surroundings- and as such it wasn't really all that strange to see Warren in the scene that he was in, as he had a stare down with the worker at a table who was bogarting the peanut butter cookies. The young man's mouth clinched angrily in a way his masked upper face could not properly depict- and he decided there was only one way to solve the cookie crisis.
“If I can jump into the air, do a flip, and land on my feet, you have to give me one cookie for every second I'm in the air.” The young man jumped slightly on the palms of his toes, and then did exactly that, though barely landing on his feet at all when he did the flip, his coat getting mangled. The cookie boggart walked off with the majority of the cookies quickly, but Warren couldn't stop him. He was wrapped up like a person would be from some good Scuttlebutt.
And his Beedrill tuxedo was mangled enough to make it likely it was going to take the young man a moment to untangle it. He grumbled to himself in a way all too reminiscent of a bee 'bzzzz'ing, or his starter pokemon charging it's lazers... also bzzing.
“Victory is mine...” he muttered as he continued to untangle the front of his Tuxedo Jacket-Vest from his knee.

Adeleine, books; Adeleine and books. Why was she reading at the table alone? Who knew. She didn't care for dancing, she just really wanted to curl up and read a good book. At least they served tea here; she sighed. She moved her mask slightly upwards and sipped some of the tea without completely tipping her hand. She tried to remain inconspicuous as possible. Oh well, she decided she'd at least sip some of the tea and nibble on the cookies she received from the concession stand. Man, they were delish. She was glad her hair was at least a bit obscured, most people would spot her instantly. For the most part, her Alice getup obscured her hair for the most part. She kind of looked a bit whimsical and ethereal with that golden mask, though; she looked like someone who would spirit you off. Alas, she stood out anyways. Most people dressed like pokemon, and she caught a man...backflipping out of the corner of her eye. Out of the ordinary? Yes? Interesting? Less so than her book. Alice in Wonderland...how quaint she had managed to bring her copy with her. Her mom used to read it to her all the time as a kid. "Down the rabbit hole I go...I suppose." She said with a sigh, closing her book and placing it back in her bag. She had to party some, at least. She wasn't one for parties, they were very crowded. This was less of a wild party and more of a formal attendance event, though she knew someone would be cheeky and ruin the entire thing. She caught herself being a bit pessimistic, oh well. She really needed to lighten up a bit. She sipped more of her tea, before rising from the table to go waltz around the area. Well, when they started playing music she liked she contemplated if she'd dance. Of course, she secretly loved dancing. It was a fun activity. Here he was, Warren. They'd met once, but she didn't know it was him. Considering this dress was completely out of her norm, he'd probably not know her either. Ah, he seemed a bit weird. Back-flipping at a formal event? Adeleine reflexively took on that motherly tone. "Dear, I wouldn't be back-flipping here. You could hurt someone." She chastised, not really aware of it. By this point, her pokemon turned her into a mom. She didn't feel like one, and she felt kind of silly chaperoning them. That's what she was, a chaperone to her pokemon. She wondered if she'd actually be a real director for them some day.

Aaron looked down his tux. It still had the ice blueish color. Good. He could not be to safe. The mask were properly attached. And his Mantyke were nowhere to be seen. Typical. He had to go around on his own. Probably just going around looking for something with water in it. He then noticed a person doing flips in the corner of his eye...or as far as he could see trough the holes in the mask. He then noticed a another person that walked over to the first. The first one were male, and he heard that the second one were a female. He walked over to them, making his mouth and eyes as neutral as he could, and started speaking with a calm voice.
The lady is right you know. You could hurt someone, and even yourself.
He knew he had to keep his name hidden and his face masked, so he could not introduce himself. That was, unless he made himself a nickname. He began thinking. What nickname would give off a good impression of what he were like?

Oh- it was one of those shonen grins. You know, the one that the protagonists have plastered across their grimy little faces when they think they said something clever or they defeated a tough enemy. It was wide and nearly a half moon upon the face of the dark haired young man from Staunchriver, which was quite the opposite of his actual emotional reaction. Inside his chest, some sort of passionate dragon was raging forward, be it anger from being chastised by this person he didn't even know, and chastised in such a way as if he was a child- or if it was something else, he was not sure.
The young man opened his mouth simply, the smile cut from his face like the tones of music when a record was ripped off it's player. “Estuvo no Twineedle, Senorita.~” he tweeted forward, playing the part he had decided he was today- a Beedrill masked bravo, right out of the pages of some Spanish Taurospoke book. The words “It was no Twineedle, Miss.” may have escaped Adelaine and Aaron's comprehension, but the young man did not look for recognition in her face. To Aaron, butting in? He had nothing to say. Ivory gloved hands hanged loosely, passively at his sides as he said those words, finishing the last of his tangled shirt off, and heading for his victory cookies. They were spoils of a battle hard fought, without the need of a fist- and he could have just pointed out if he didn't flip and scare the person off someone definitely would've been hurt as he'd have punched the person for the cookies.
He picked the cookies up with a napkin, and began to eat them slowly, enjoying the peanut butter cookies perhaps even more for his 'battle' for them. After a bite, he turned to the two who had reprimanded him. “You know- it's really rude to try to reprimand someone you don't even know, especially when you don't know the situation. I wasn't doing it to dance...” he nibbled upon the Cookie a bit more. “But thanks, I guess.” he said the words simply before finishing his first cookie.

Ah, so he was okay. Good, Adeleine didn't have to worry about calling the medical staff over. She sighed, this was already becoming a handful. She didn't really want to have to deal with any trouble. She figured her pokemon would be comfortable inside their pokeballs at this point, giving her a chance to unwind and read in peace. Granted, a dance wasn't the time to be reading.
"Clever, it's because you're dressed like a Beedrill?" She noted his getup, rather fancy if she had to muse to herself. He'd knock the other ladies dead, that's for sure. She waved her hand in dismissal, tempted to go back to her book. However, he said something that made her think for a moment
“You know- it's really rude to try to reprimand someone you don't even know, especially when you don't know the situation. I wasn't doing it to dance...”
Rude? She didn't think she was being rude. It was just to try and help him out. She thought back flipping in a formal party was bound to cause some problems. She shrugged, not even really sure what she was harping on this for.
"Ah, yes; that's quite alright." She didn't even know what to say, really. She wasn't even sure what she was going to do. The two men were...imposing to say the least. One had just walked over here, sensible at least she supposed.
"Ah, nice to meet you both." She said, wondering how she even got into this mess. Her motherly intuition got the better of her once again.

Aaron would have face palmed himself when he saw the outfit the other male had, but he did not because of two special reasons. One, he were at a formal party, and two, he were wearing a mask. He looked at the girl, remembering that he had just walked over, hoping for something to do. He smiled a little, bowing down as he grabbed her hand carefully, kissing it lightly as a greeting.
A pleasure to meet you
He then looked at the male, bowing down towards him in a formal manner.
And a pleasure to meet you too
He then got back up, waiting for their reactions. Right now he were memorizing the class of formal manners his parents had made him do. All they could talk about back then were do this, do that, learn to be formal, go and get a girl, nag nag nag. But that class had taught him how to act on a formal party like this, and what he had just done were, according to his teacher back then, the way you were supposed to greet people you just met on a formal party, no matter what age or height. Only thing he had to remember were kiss the girls hand as a greeting, and bow to the guy as a greeting. the other way around would have caused a lot of awkwardness.

Get in the Air Like an Aipom
Taiki carefully stepped into the ballroom in his dress. He was still getting used to the feel of wearing something like this. It was meant for the opposite gender but he just had to take this chance to have some fun dressing up! He was exhilarated to be able to do this! He would have already been here with Adeleine but he just had to make sure he looked perfect before he walked out into the open. He immediately noticed her and her distinct costume. He saw that there were other people here and immediately became a bit nervous...
"Uh-oh... I could get intro trouble. I might want to just follow Adeleine around the whole time or something," thought Taiki to himself. He used both of his index fingers and thumbs to hold a piece of his skirt in both hands and carefully walked over to her. He normally walked like this whenever he had baggy pants or jeans on or even shorts; always the lady! He saw that Adeleine was already getting some attention from some of the gentlemen that were around; how lucky! Taiki stopped in his tracks and turned around for a moment, looking distressed.
"Gah! What do I do? I-I'm too nervous to talk to someone... Think, Taiki! Think!" he thought. He was not very experienced with talking to other young men. He often became shy when guys spoke to him, though never with girls. It seemed scary to him for some reason...

Melyn had finally found the party, she thought after turning down the fifth corridor she was surely in some kind of maze and was doomed to run into a minitor any second. When she passed through grand doors into a ballroom type setting. She spotted people dancing and laughing, really carrying on and having a pleasant time. Her eyes swept a long banquet table with vast amount of every sort of food that belonged at a party such as this.
While she let her eyes have there fill of the food a figure caught her attention. He seemed to be eating some kind of biscuit or cookie. He was dressed in a beedrill tuxedo and even though Melyn couldn't see what he looked like because of his mask she knew she needed a closer look. Another glance had her seeing other people near by him, Melyn decided to play it safe for now in case this mystery man already had a lady friend. She decided to do a feminine but extremely coy move women were known for, known as a pass by.
Melyn adjusted her dress and took long graceful strides towards where the man was standing. Her head wad held high and Melyn really thought she would be able to make this look really natural, until she got about six feet from the man, not being used to wearing heels Melyn ended up stepping on the edge of her dress. She stumbled right in front of the man and then took two more steps. That wasn't too bad, maybe he didn't even notice. Melyn was about to turn around when she felt a breeze hit her chest. Suddenly her eyes went wide and Melyn threw her upper body towards the floor. She struggled to pull her dress back up but in a hunched over position it was difficult to do.
It's times like these I consider getting implants! At least I'd have something to hold dresses like these up!

Warren was much more the life of the party at the moment than the former coma afflicted young man would ever muse. He had been almost reclusive as a child when it came to parties, yet at the pretty young lady in the Alice costume's compliment about the Beedrill pun, he simply flashed a quick rapier swipe of a smile.
Then he was back to nibbling at his peanut butter cookie, steely blue eyes carefully watching the girl and the icy blue tuxedo'd young man who had chosen to meet them. In his anonymity and their's, he felt a little amused at the girl's comment about it being nice to meet him, and the icy blue boy's reputation of it. In between nibbles and gulps of the cookie, he replied with simple tact- and a grin. “In as much as one could say.”, referencing of course the fact that they weren't -truly- meeting the others, they were meeting their personas.
His eyes didn't miss the entry of a pretty young lass in a purple gown and red gown- either. Flashing her(?) a gentleman's lovenote of a smile, before turning back towards his cookie, and towards the ground. Anonymous or not, he still had to go buy his feelings- and grinning at every pretty girl he saw was just improper. Towards the ground- and then to wander as a young lady in a pale yellow like gown walked passed him, following her move behind his beedrill mask, though careful to keep a neutral expression. He kept his persona on perfectly, until the girl was knocked backwards- and had was seemed to be a major wardrobe malfunction... was he really seeing what he thought? As blood rushed to his cheeks, there was not a cloth in all the world that would have made the reddening that came into the young man's face- it made his beedrill mask's lenses look positively pale.
“Are... you okay, miss?” Modesty and chilvalry could not be helped, he looked away, reaching towards his back for the mid-back cloak modeled after a Beedrill's wings, and tossing it towards the girl so she could cover herself as she fixed her dress.
He shoved his last cookie in his mouth, striding towards the dancefloor in silence.

Adeleine didn't turn her head from her book when the man kissed her hand, she didn't really know what to say. At least people here had some manners, she smiled behind her rabbit mask. Shame emotion seemed to be a bit void here, she could really use some fun right about now.
Hm, the other man was walking away? Towards the dance floor? The other person falling had completely escaped her attention as she was too lost in thought. Well, she pondered, was that an invitation? She put her book away, politely following him to the dance floor. She managed to swiftly catch up with him, trailing directly behind him.
"I suppose you're going to dance? Dancing alone isn't a good thing, I'll dance with you." Adeleine said, she didn't want him to have to be alone. She'd knew what being alone was like, and it wasn't a very fun experience. Then, it hit her. Where was Taiki?
She glanced over, there he was. He had managed to make it. She gave him a wordless glance, motioning over for him to come and dance. She didn't want him to be all by himself, that'd be horrid.

Get in the Air Like an Aipom
Taiki turned around to see himself get a smile from one of the gentlemen in the room. He immediately felt a tingle of excitement in his body; it wasn't common for most guys to notice him. Then again he was in a dress so they probably assumed he was a woman. He sighed.
"Perhaps thinking about it too much would be too straining. I guess I'll just go have fun with Adeleine for now," thought Taiki. He was a bit sad but decided not to linger on it. He carefully walked over to his friend and politely curtsied to her and the gentleman with her.
"Greetings. I hope I wasn't too late. I just had to make sure nothing was wrong with my dress and hair," said Taiki. He kept his eyes away from any others, feeling timid and a bit scared, too. He didn't know why he started feeling this way all of a sudden but tried to hide it with a smile. He left his left arm at his side while his right hand was rubbing it as if he just had his feelings hurt or something. He felt like a mess. "Eh... I'm not sure if I'm up for dancing to be honest..."

Aaron looked around as more people showed up. This included a girl that he got this feeling of age from. Maybe a couple of years older than him. And a...another girl? He got a strange feeling from her. Or maybe it even was a him? He blinked, remembering something.
i am really sorry, but i have to go. Hope we meet again
He said, turning around, walking off.
Ooc: since i dunno if i can get on the next week or so im leaving the thread. Have fun.

Gabe stepped into the room, drinking her alcohol-free punch through a straw as she looked around the ballroom. She'd actually been a little surprised when the bartender had, with a flourish suitable for a magician, produced the straw and she thanked him profusely. She took a small step to the side, so that she wouldn't end up in the way, and let her eyes sweep across the room once more. The fact that she'd left her shoes in her room on purpose made her grin underneath the fake-bill she had strapped to her face, but her merriment could still be seen in the mischievous twinkle in her blueish-gray eyes. Not only could she feel her feet thank her, but it also made it easier for her to manage a slightly more wagging walking-style. As if the bill and the color of her dress didn't tell people what she was supposed to be.
