To the coordinators who have gotten the PM, please post the second round of appeals [< 500 words] here on December 24. If you can't make it at that time, PM it to Arionne and she'll make sure it shows up <3
You will be judge on only your post, so please try to have a relatively normal posting format. Not pictures and no music/video, please. Sprites for your pokemon/trainer is fine, but any information that is gotten from the sprites will not be taken into account. So if your pikachu has a hat and doesn't mention it in the post, the hat might as well not be there.
tldr;; simple post formatting please, no extra media apart from sprites
Remember -- Coordinator must be mentioned -- Less than 500 words -- Different Pokémon than the first round -- Word count at the end of the post, please -- List your moves at end of appeal, in order of appearance. -----[ Does not count in wordcount. ]
The first round was done, and there was a brief intermission. Trainers got ready for the next round, switching up their Pokémon and running through mental drills one last time. This round was much longer, allowing more time for the Pokémon to display its beauty. The backstage quieted down as the first trainer came up to perform, ready to dazzle the partygoers and welcome the holidays with a brilliant show.

“In a forest pitch dark Glowed the tiniest spark It burst into flame Like me Like me” The voice was there before the coordinator. And before him, came a little bird, like a colorful flare across the deck, suddenly turning a sharp 90 degrees before disappearing into the clouds.
::Chatot:: As everyone’s eyes followed the colorful Chatot, Silva came on stage. Fierce as tiger, with the voice of a bird of paradise. Dressed in flaring red, he strode to the center of the stage, demanding the attention of all.
“My name Isobel Married to myself My love Isobel Living by herself” He drove the drum he was holding on, and after those lines, fell silent, raising an arm up to the sky. The Chatot fell from the sky in a sharp dive, bringing with him a gulf of rain. Silva raised his head to the skies and went on singing
“In a heart full of dust Lives a creature called lust It surprises and scares Like me Like me” Suddenly he dropped the drums. Though the sounds were echoed on in an eerie high pitched second voice, that of the Chatot, who was now circling Silva.
“My name Isobel Married to myself My love Isobel Living by herself” After a moment more of standing still, the tiger moved. Danced. The dark red, now wet robes, seemed no encumbrance. Moving and singing both came natural to this creature, doing both at once as he spurred up the pacing, driving himself to the limit.
“When she does it she means to Moth delivers her message Unexplained on your collar Crawling in silence A simple excuse” The clouds had blocked out most light, and the rain was falling steadily on the stage. Chatot flew up above the stage and cried out. There was a flare of light as Chatot reflected the rain in all directions, causing a fascinating optical illusion.
“In a tower of steel Nature forges a deal To raise wonderful hell Like me Like me” Then, as Chatot’s song drove him on, Silva shed his red robes behind him, tossing them aside. Beneath them he wore nothing but ripped beige pants. Like reborn, he danced, like an elegant, innocent fairy. Light, tossing water off his skin. The climax was coming, and the words became stronger. Enraged. And higher in tone.
“My name Isobel Married to myself My love Isobel Living by herself” Chatot flew up into the dark clouds, disappearing completely in them.
“When she does it she means to Mothe delivers her message Unexplained on your collar Crawling in silence” Silva’s voice turned raw. Feral. And as he spoke the last line, the rain fell away, the clouds soon followed. Chatot outed a cry and came falling again from the sky, this time, the sun coming with him, basking Silva in sunlight. The singer fell to his knees, a hand reaching towards the sky as he ended the song in a strong last line. The swan song.
“A simple excuse”

Um. Um. Oh dear. Why was he even here? He had just finished his first appeals round for the rest of the passengers on the ship, and clutching a dark, navy blue Heavy Ball in his hands he trembled like a Sunkern trapped on Mt.Ryuu. He gulped as the spotlight shone on him, trumpets playing in the background as they announced his name with excitement. ”Thing. Display thyself.” He thought he sounded cool, but as he tossed the sphere into the air, it slipped out of his hands, clonking him in the head as a Sudowoodo appeared right next to him, red smoke flushing out of the Pokeball and nearly choking his trainer at the pitiful display.
<Displayed!> The Sudowoodo posed for the audience, staring blankly at their frowning faces. It was like staring at a colony of ants, especially when they were all so far away. The next commands were half choked out, while the rock tree nodded his head, a bit too cheerfully as he paraded about the stage, shaking his branches as if they were maracas.
”Helping Hand…spice it up with cough cough Copycat.” The Sudowoodo blissfully obeyed, twirling around as he danced for the public. Suddenly stopping, he then began to make cheerleader moves, chanting in a way that seemed to create a better move in Zapdos Hall.
Arms shaking as a bright orb grew in size on his top branches, the Sudowoodo couldn’t find anything to copy, and in his haste, shot it right at Don and started coughing. Each cough beautifully sent light blue drops of liquid onto the floor, a bit messier than Don’s, but it was the best he could do. Eyes tearing up from the failure of his appeal, Don, hidden under the crappy paper mask that was taped onto his face, quickly recalled his Pokémon and ran out of the hall with a quivering lip.

FOR HATA"Missus Caitlin!"
In a brilliant flash of light, the figure of a Castform was accentuated by the soft glow around her body, light dissipating gradually as the Castform floated gracefully with an air of elegance. She cooed softly, circling her blue haired trainer daintily, whereas he remained perfectly still, eyes closed. Caitlin paused as she stopped in front of Harper. Blue eyes flashed open, and Caitlin tossed her head backwards as she split her maw, revealing a flurry of white she had kept concealed.
It spewed upwards loosely, falling gracefully. Not once did the Castform snap out of the position, endlessly releasing barrage after barrage of Powder Snow attacks. In fact, both trainer and Pokémon had not moved from their spots, so much so that the sudden bursts of flames came from nowhere. Caitlin began to move in a circle, forming a large, spiralled stream of Ember attacks. Each pellet glowed a luminous orange, appearing as flecks of light flares, illuminating the dimly lit stage. But more importantly, the Powder Snow was melting. The heat radiating from the attack managed to reduce the frost to nothing more than water.
And then it rained.
Droplets fell from the air, and the Castform's genetic structure changed, as expected, morphing the greyish creature into a large raindrop on a cloud. Caitlin hummed merrily to herself, doing a merry little jig as she levitated. The drizzle seemed to add to the effect, the Castform splashing into puddles in an adorable manner, creating an array of splashes in a multitude of sizes, whereas Harper merely raised the umbrella he had been leaning on, keeping himself dry as he watched Caitlin giggling in glee. It all seemed most merry, but the Castform seemed unappeased, forcefully releasing a Water Gun in the middle of the stage.
As she had expected, the stage gave way to the jet of water, creaking as the water cumulated into what appeared to be a small pond. As the last of the rain fell, the Castform raised herself up again and returned to using Powder Snow, effectively turning into a Winter Wonderland yet again. The raindrop bubble around her dissipated, replaced with nothing more than her usual getup. Caitlin looked at her word proudly, knowing the end was drawing near.
Harper grinned, flicking his hair momentarily as he snapped his fingers at the Castform, watching as she charged at the pool of ice with a determined pout on her face. A stiff Tackle was all the Castform needed to shatter the frozen pond, sending shards of ice in all directions. The stage lit up, and every icy fragment caught the light with a brilliant gleam. Water splashed, and Caitlin found herself caught in Harper's hand, poised gracefully at the audience as the light dimmed out for the very last time.

FOR ICE/XERIANThere was a confident swagger to the boy's step as he strode into the center of the stage, pokéball in hand. Face hidden by the half-mask, he brought the ball to his lips, eyes closed as he concentrated. This was the big one. Luckily he had just the right pokémon for the challenge. The ball flew straight upwards into the air, as his eyes snapped open. “Aibell, take to the stage!” In a flash of pink mist and hearts, the tiny igglybuff burst from her pokéball, arms held wide as she gleefully welcomed the release, eyes sparkling in the light of the contest hall. Floating gently downwards, the shower of hearts glittering around her, she landed lightly on Lysander's shoulder, lifted her arms and caught her pokéball. “Charm!” Aibell dropped the ball into her coordinator's hand as she trotted down his arm and turned her attention on the audience. Wiggling her hands about in a cute manner, she trilled in a happy voice as small hearts blossomed from her. “Sing.” The hearts were quickly joined by a myriad of colourful musical notes as Aibell opened her mouth, singing an enticing lullaby that would usually be used to inflict sleep. “Sweet Kiss and then Pound!” Bringing her tiny hands to her mouth, Aibell blew a kiss to the audience which formed as a giant heart that hovered in the air before her. Mustering her strength, the tiny pink pokémon threw herself into the heart which shattered into many smaller hearts which sparked prettily in the artificial light overhead. “And end up a defense curl!” As the hearts slowly started dissipating in little pink poofs, Aibell curled into a ball, glowing a soft white as Lysander lifted her high into the air where several hearts popped against her, giving off a glittering effect that was somewhat dazzling in contrast to Lysander's white suit. To finish, the baby pokémon unfurled and sat neatly on his hand, winking. - - - - - - - - - - - summaryCharm Sing Sweet Kiss Pound Defense Curl 313 words

The second appeal allowed more time for Soren to prepare the setup. With the help of a few of his pokemon, a large ball was hung from the ceiling as he covered the ground with a little bit of crystal powder. Soren stood beneath the large sphere, his feet gently pushing the sandy dust around, feeling knots in his stomach.
Clad in white, wearing the mask that hid his face from the audience. The stage was large, much larger than the area he practiced in, and Elsu would have to adapt. The feathered mask covered up his worried and nervous expression, raising both hands above his head and releasing his Farfetch’d. The Pokémon flew upwards, wings extended and feathers preened to excellence.
His flying speed increased as Elsu dipped down, grasping some sand in his claws, before he flew upward toward the suspended ball. During his upward flight, the crystalline powder was gradually let go, falling in uneven patterns and sparkling in the lights of the stage. Once he reached the top of the stage, Elsu rapidly looped around it, the wind current setting the object in a circular motion. It was now time to paint the picture around the pillar of sand.
The Pokémon flew at a fast speed, his body starting to blur to the naked eye. Suddenly, two trails of silver appeared, circling the ball once before spiraling downwards, surrounding the sparkling sand and his trainer, who was standing in the middle of all this, directing the spins with a finger above his head. The motion also helped keep the crystals suspended in the air, especially as the silver trail became a purple that intertwined with the first, weaving its way upward until it formed a giant spiraling column of silver and purple, encircling Soren and the sparkling dust. The coordinator could feel his clothes whip around him as well from the wind, his blood also rushing as they were almost done.
Elsu climbed higher and higher until he was close to the suspended ball, still precariously spinning round and round. His beak started to glow as the Farfetch'd took aim at the moving object, making it burst upon contact and turning into a shower of confetti. At the same time, Soren threw some of the sparkling sand into the air to add more to the confetti, sparkles raining down on him and his Pokémon. The silvery flakes caught the light as they fell, covering the stage, as the pillar gently faded.
With the appeal over, Elsu circled down, every movement calculated to move the air in a way to slow the fall of confetti and sand, allowing them to dance just a while longer, before he landed on his trainer’s shoulder. Soren bowed, feeling the dust and cheap plastic strips fall onto his back. It was over, and he could only hope for the best.

Jack could feel beads of sweat forming on his brow from the heat of the spotlight as it was on him. The light was intensely bright, he could only squint past the eye holes of his mask as he tried to look for his sister in the audience. It wasn’t any use, the blinding glare from above was just too much for Jack to see the faces of those watching. Jack pushed his worry back down and took out Boya’s pokeball, giving it a kiss for good luck, then threw it into the air.
Emerging from the pokeball was a Wartortle in mid air and before he fell all the way down to earth, he was caught by his trainer. "Gotya." Jack whispered and set the Pokémon down on his feet. <I knew you would! Do it now?> Boya asked, glancing up at his trainer for encouragement. Jack glanced at the people watching and after a moment nodded. "Alright, start off with Bubble and Attract!" He announced, pointing forward.
Boya nodded crossed his hands over his shell where a human’s heart may have been, then opened them up, releasing a few pink hearts which he quickly blew bubbles around, trapping them inside. About seven of the bubble-hearts floated around the Wartortle, all threatening to float off and away into space.
Off to the side, Jack clapped his hands together joyfully and a small "yes" could be heard. He pulled it off! Good job Boya! But they weren’t done yet. "Now Ice Punch and Water Gun."
The water type gulped a little, having just tried this new part of his act. Oh well, here goes! One of his fists suddenly light up with ice and he swiped it across the air, freezing three of his bubble-hearts. They fell to the ground as the other five floated off higher. Opps, that wasn’t all of them like they had practiced! Should he try to get the rest of them? No, no, Jack said to go with what happens on stage. "Improvise" is what Jack told him to do. And that’s what Boya did!
He titled his head upward and released a steady flow of water above his head, while stepping forward and whipped up the three ice-bubble-hearts with his tail so that they were now all being juggled by his Water Gun.
After letting the ice balls bounce around on top of the attack for a moment, Boya tried to let them down and catch each one in a hand. He missed the first one, the bubble smashing on the ground and released the trapped heart inside. At least he caught the second one with both of his hands! As for the third ice bubble, Boya caught it in his teeth!
Glancing at the coward, he grinned past the object in his mouth and snapped his teeth down with a powerful Bite, crushing the ice-bubble-heart. Mini hearts and chips of ice floated around Boya as he and Jack took a bow.Words: 498 Attacks: Attract Bubble Ice Punch Water Gun Tail whip Bite

Adeleine entered the contest area, nervous about the entire thing. She hadn’t even known this pokemon had been with her since the beginning of her journey, yet she had managed to throw an appeal together before the contest started. She glanced over to the audience, brushing her hair from her face. All her friends were watching her, and she was supposed to be the wonderful entertainment. She smiled taking out her pokeball for her second appeal. This was it, her final chance to convince the judges she was the winner.
“The wonderful tail of malice. Malacoda, lock on!” Adeleine tried one of those fancy sounding catchphrases. On center stage was a poliwag. She waved her tail and tried to excite the crowd and make them cheer and roar. Adeleine was getting a bit more confident, raising her hand into the air. It was time to move onto the first phase of her appeal.
“First, Return!” The pokemon complied, blasting out a stream of hearts that bounced and floated all over the place. They make the entire arena grow a warm pink color. Adeleine had two more moves she was ready to use. She brought her hand down again, started to get more excited. The second phase was going to begin!
“Now, Coco, use Bubble!” Malacoda jumped into the air and spun rapidly, summoning bubbles that captured all the floating hearts. They started floating around in a circle, conglomerating into a heart shaped string of captured bubbles. Adeleine was ready for this, the final move. She had been issued a TM by the invitation. She reached into her bag, and threw some sort of strange berry at Malacoda.
“Coco! Natural Gift!” Malacoda knew this was the important move, the final nail in the coffin for this appeal! She focused the mysterious power that nature power had into the berry. The berry suddenly disappeared, and in its place, a warm energy replaced it. The energy itself was icy and cold, Nature Power had used the power of the Ganlon Berry that Adeleine received from her parents! It was an extremely rare berry, meaning the ball of energy had the equivalent strength of the legendary move Thunderbolt!
“Now, release!” Malacoda sliced the energy with a quick swipe of the tail, causing it to shoot outwards. Suddenly, the temperature dropped and ice spikes erupted from the ground in a mass panic. They found themselves towards the floating bubbles, instantly freezing them all. There was an explosion due to the imbalance of power, causing the room to briefly be shrouded in an enigmatic cloud of confusion.
Adeleine clapped in finality, this was a wrap for the hard working duo. The light died down, and in the center of the stage a spectacle unfolded. There were intertwining bubbles with hearts encased in side of those. Together, they made a spiraling heart of ice that glittered. The ice was still fluttering down, a diamond dust party. Leaving the stage, Adeleine returned Malacoda and took a bow.

Jesse stood on the stage, ready for the biggest night of his life. His heart beat at an unbelievable pace, but he didn't let it show. Not for one second. He had to be elegant, and graceful. The Sentret atop his head seemed calm by comparison. In fact, she seemed to be asleep. Until Jesse slowly raised his hands and clapped, keeping his hands to the side of his head and standing straight. In time with the snap, Laura's eyes snapped open as she propped herself up on her tail, in the typical position of a Sentret, arms outstretched to greet her audience. Jesse clapped again, and Laura leaped from his head. Despite Jesse not being the tallest of guys, that fall would hurt a Sentret, and that was the shock factor Jesse was going for now. Another clap just before she reached the ground made Laura curl up, her body meeting the ground smoothly and rolling to a stop. Another clap had her leaping back into a standing position, smiling coyly with a wink before her body moved at a blinding speed, zooming across the stage in a triangle shape, leaving white light shimmering in a triangle shape, similar to the effect of a jumbo jet. At the sound of yet another clap, Laura darted into the middle of the triangle she had created, raising her hands to the ceiling and waiting. Slowly, green orbs rose from the white, and the white dissipated, making it seem as though the green orbs were forming from the white triangle. Another clap stimulated Laura to leap into the air, claws glowing a vibrant white as she spun, slicing into the orbs like a knife into fruit, causing an explosion of Aurora Borealisesque light to surround her as the orbs burst. A few orbs remained, and surged towards the crowd, the fear element once again used as the orbs threatened to take the health of the audience, but then another clap caused Laura to open her mouth, releasing purple needles of light which punctured the remaining orbs, leaving festive purple and green powder raining harmlessly down on the audience as Laura returned to her Trainer's side just in time for them to take a bow. The stage gave Amber chills, her first time doing something like this gave her the Butterfrees. She sulked down behind and sighed. Her black dress swayed back and forth, she even wore a small yellow bracelet to try and match her Pokémon. Stings matched Amber somewhat, having her black hair down with a yellow bracelet, the colors matched. Now, if only she could match her confidence. Stings was hovering over Amber’s head and buzzed with a tilted head. Amber patted her head as she was brought down. “Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea...” Amber said. Stings had a shocked look on her face, although she couldn’t understand her much she wanted to try and help her. <Look, we are going to do our very best at this, win or lose we’re going to make the best out of this!> She said, pointing her stingers out. Amber just blinked at Stings, for a second there she thought she heard words coming out of her mouth. Amber shook her head, nah, she was probably dreaming. Then, it was her turn on stage. She sighed and returned her to her Pokeball. “Well, Stings, let’s give it all we got!” She then walked from behind stage, she got up on stage ready for whatever was going to happen. She hoped it was in their favor too.
She was on stage with a smile, she threw Stings Pokeball in the air in a flash she was there on stage. She hovered by Amber’s shoulder and buzzed happily. “Start off with String Shot!” Amber called out. Stings shot some string and made five medium sized balls in the air, they were shot into the air high and then slowly started to come down. “Poison Sting!” Amber said smiling. Stings aimed her stingers out and shot each of the balls with a poison spike, turning them purple and glowing with a odd eerie glow. Though it didn’t seem like much they weren’t done yet. She then caught each of the balls and started jiggling them in a circle. She hovered through the air making the balls move in a perfect circle. “Now, throw them!” Amber yelled. Stings threw each up in the air in a straight line. “Finish it with Fury Attack!” And then Stings closed one eye to aim. She then flew up with her stingers out, they started glowing as she started with a Fury Attack, she jabbed each of the balls in a matter of seconds; making them explode. When they did they let out tons of purple strings over the stage, and on Stings and Amber. The purple string landed on Amber’s hair, making them look like she had high lines in her hair. Amber held out her arm for Stings to land on, Stings perfectly landed on Amber’s arm. She then bowed and walked off stage with a wide smile. It was a perfect way to show off the beauty of how a tough Pokémon could do something beautiful.

::psyduck:: Finally, the day had came and he was ready. He had his contest suit out and it was a lovely one indeed. It wasn't his nerdy suit, it was a tailor made black suit with a skinny black tie and white shirt. GOREGOUS! He looked to his Psyduck before returning her to the pokeball.
He walked out on stage, he could hear people cheering for him. “Matt! Matt! Matt!” Oh it was great. When he was where he would perform he looked around, a swimming pool with one platform in the center. Perfect! He tossed the sphere to the platform and released his Psyduck. “Hydrogen, shall we show them what they came for? Will we show them what they really want to see?”
The Psyduck did her signature Psy and winked as she glowed green. The refresh move really made her sparkle and shine. Literally, she shone a bright green hue! She then broke the refresh with scratch, making little globes of green to be flown everywhere. Matt's eyes lit up with excitement. This was what he wanted, it looked gorgeous. Little green spheres circling the stage and psyduck. Perfect space in between each one. It made her shine in his mind. She was a winner to him.
“Now use tail whip!”
Surprisingly the Psyduck jumped and smashed it's tail against the green spheres that it had created, causing them to shatter even more before disappearing into thin air. Thankfully, the energy from the blast kept the Psyduck moving as it was in the sky. Once the Psyduck had fifty percent of them smashed, she landed back on the stand and smiled.
“Wonderful.” Matt smiled as the Psyduck bowed a bit, trying to convince the audience that she had completed her performance, but she wasn't. She had yet begun!
“Show them who is boss Hydrogen.”
The Psyduck psy'd happily before raising it before doing the 'oh no you didn't' kind of movement. She began to swagger, telling the audience that she was wonderful and they were useless. She was the greatest and that her act. This was when she did a spin and jumped into the water. Matt smirked, trying to hide the severe happiness that was hidden within him. He wanted this to be a success. A success was what he was truly looking for. It would be his Christmas wish.
Suddenly, as if out of no where, the Psyduck rose the water, green once again from the refresh. But what was this? The water surrounding her was also green! She flew high into the sky and when she reached her limit she exploded the green water, specks of water going everywhere. To the audience, judges her trainer. It was a wonderful performance.
She landed back in the water and swam over to her trainer, hopping out of the water and waddling over to her trainer. “Was I good,” she asked him. He smiled and nodded. “You were amazing.” And they left.

This attempt had been so much longer and this would give Abram more of an opportunity to show off his vain pokemon known as, Vium. The Vespiquen was exactly as her named portrayed. Eagerly both of them appeared with a less than traditional entrance. The Vespiuqen started her routine with a Fury Cutter cutting the velvet drapes open. She acted like a top spinning her way into the spotlight. Abram followed her running after her and onto the stage, ”Routine Two!” he shouted out and stood there watching as his pokemon began her marvelous routine.
She started her real routine off with a Confuse Ray, the bug pokemon shot it straight into the sky, a beam of purple psychic energy. Vium then used Defend Order to coat herself in a vermillion glow and to protect her as she spun into the confuse ray and turned it into white particles. The best part came next, she then used a Silver Wind and flapped her buzzing wings combining the silver in the wind with the purple to create a vivd colorful aurora in the sky shimmering down onto the stage.
With her scenery set up she began her grand finale, she buzzed right above the stage’s ground and shot out a large barrage of Poison Sting straight into the air. Within seconds they all began to fall back onto the bug type. However, she had no urge to move, she began her counter attack by using her ghostly ominous wind. That wind was a little more unpredictable and surrounded the Vespiqueen collecting the needles and made the Vespiqueen look like a white blur. The bug pokemon slowly began to rise and as she arrived in the middle of the stage she shot out the needles, the poison/ghost and bug energy created small explosions of energy almost like fireworks.
The vespiquen stood there breathless but happy with her attempt to please the crowd.
