[cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true]Funny how life works out, Phillip thought to himself. Just yesterday the young man had dreamt of this very moment. Him, standing on the road alone, about to take his first step onto Route 1. No one else would be with him. Not his parents, not his cousin-- no one. No one except his starter pokemon, of course. He and them would get along fabulously from the get-go, and they would take their first steps into a new life together. It was Phillip Victoria II against all of Cheyenne, and he wasn't about to lose.
Well, that was the fantasy, anyway. Unfortunately, the truth is that the universe really hates fanatsies. Dreams of any sort are never turn out how they were imagined because the universe cooked up a special little something just for people like Phillip to deal with. It was called reality. And the reality was that at the moment Phillip was standing alone on a road, about to take his first step onto Route 1. Except this wasn't the shining, pristine route that he'd dreamed of in his head. This route was a dingy woods with weeds growing about and discarded potion bottles lying everywhere (along with a few other bottles). It was also not very sunny out like he'd imagined it to be, either. At the moment it was actually quite cloudy and dark. The lack of sun was good for his skin but bad for the dramatic atmosphere he'd been hoping for when he took his first step.
His Pokémon wasn't standing beside him, either. No, Grani-- Phillip's newly aquired Venipede-- didn't feel like walking. He didn't feel like riding on his trainer's shoulder, or even his head, either. At the moment, Grani was firmly latched onto the front of Phillip's shirt. The centipede Pokémon had been quite clingy ever since he'd been released from his pokeball outside the lab, and Phillip just didn't have the heart to put him back. So there he was, on the road, alone, with a bug stuck to his chest. "Life really loves to throw curveballs, doesn't she?" He thought to himself. "Well, I guess the only thing to do is to bat them right back."
"Ready, Grani?" The youth asked the centipede. The bug let out a low churring sound and wiggled his antenna. Phillip assumed that was a yes and took his first step onto Route 1, and before long, they were well on their way to the first city.

A Paras was happily walking out of the bushes when a Bellsprout jumped out on top of the Paras, standing with each foot on a mushroom on its back. <THERE YOU ARE MY MINION. Did you think you could get away!?> the Bellsprout said, whipping the Paras on the back with vines. <You shall recieve 20 whips for every minute you made me search!> she said with a frustrated look on her face. The Paras flinched from the pain, and tried to get away. He looked up and saw a trainer, and got an idea. As he was afraid to verbally call out to the person due to the fact that the Bellsprout could hear, he shot pleading glances towards the trainer, only to close his eyes with every whipping. ::Bellsprout:: Level 6, Female [Chlorophyll] -Vine Whip- Thinks everyone is her slave. [cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true]Phillip couldn't understand pokemon, but he did know one thing. There was no way a Bellsprout could eat a Paras. So when a Paras waddled out of the bushes, only to be waylaid by a very loud Bellsprout, Phillip knew that this was no attack for survival. It seemed to him that the grass pokemon had just attacked an innocent bug and from the looks the Paras was giving him, he need help. And who was he to refuse?
"Ready for your first battle, Grani?" The youth looked down at the bug latched to his chest. The red centipede clicked his mandibles in response and suddenly dropped off his trainer. He then hit the ground facing the Bellsprout and Paras. Grani was more than ready to fight.
"Let's start out with a Poison Sting," Phillip ordered. "Make sure to aim high so you don't hit the Paras. Then use Defense Curl."
Grani clicked in response and did as commanded. Though in reality this was his first time battling, so obviously his attacks weren't so accurate the first go-around. He aimed high, but the spray of toxic needles was a bit broad, and they managed to sail towards not only the area they were supposed to, but the areas around the target as well. This may or may not have included the Paras. The Venipede didn't have time to worry about that, though. As soon as he'd fired off his Poison Sting, the bug curled up into a ball and let his hard, red shell boost his defense. | [atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true] Grani Gender: Male Level: 5 Abilities: Poison Point & Swarm Attacks: Defense Curl - Rollout - Poison Sting - Spikes Actions: Used Poison Sting and Defense Curl +1 Defense

Paras looked up at Phillip with his large eyes. Inside of them was fear, but there was something else as well. Deep inside of him was a spark, a fire burning. He was a capable poke'mon; he was just caged up at the moment and too frightened of Bellsprout to do anything. He shuddered and curled up into the tightest ball he could on the ground, in the middle of everything. Bellsprout raged, turning around as the poisonous barbs dug into her skin. With an angry growl she lifted her viens into the air. They grew, extending up into the sky. With a vicious cry she swung them around above her head and then tried to slam them down on top of the Venipede, nearly missing the Paras on the battlefield.

[cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true] The Vine Whip wasn't unexpected, and certainly wasn't unaccounted for. Curled up in his ball, Grani had both a quadruple type advantage against this particular attack, as well as a high defense thanks to his shell. That being said, the Vine Whips had a considerable amount of force behind them, and even if they didn't hurt him much, he could still feel himself moving backwards a little from the sheer strength behind the attacks. The Venipede wasn't worried, though. Nothing was going to get between him and sweet victory. Especially not on his first battle. He needed to show Phillip that he was a capable fighter and that he was worthy of being the human's champion.
Phillip wasn't worried either. Shooting a quick glance over to the Paras, he saw the other bug curled up in fright and felt his heart melt a little. Poor little buggy. "That was great, Grani," He said, switching his attention back to the battle. "Now Defense Curl again and follow with Rollout!" A handy little strategy he'd picked up from his cousin. If Rollout was used right after Defense Curl the power was doubled.
Grani complied and curled up even tighter. Now confident that nothing could hurt him while in his air-tight defense, he started rolling towards the Bellsprout at top speed. <"Get outta the way, bug!"> He yelled to the Paras. His fight was not with the parasite pokemon. Not yet, anyway.

Paras started shake heavily, trying to force the Bellsprout off of himself. <Get off!> he said, eventually forcing the grass type to fall over. As he heard the trainer's comment, he scuttled backwards as quickly as he could to make enough room to not get hit. <Go away bother someone else.> he said to the Bellsprout harshly. Bellsprout gave a mixed look of surprise and disgust towards the Paras. Did her own slave talk back? <Don't you talk to your master like that! Don't you know-> her comment was cut short as she was sent hurdling by the slightly more powerful Rollout attack. She quickly got back up, staring daggers into the trainer and his pokemon. <This is between my slave and myself. Leave now!> she stated bluntly as she shot vines out once more towards the trainer's pokemon. ::Paras:: Level 4, Male [Effect Spore/Dry Skin] - Scratch- Young, Intelligent. [cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true] Grani scoffed from inside of his shell. This Bellsprout was the most pathetic creature he'd ever seen. Albeit, he hadn't seen a lot of creatures before, but this one was definitely the worst. Only weak and lazy pokemon had slaves. Real pokemon didn't need others to do work for them. Real pokemon also didn't need to force others to follow them, either. If you were strong, others would come to you. As the Vine Whips hit his shell they did even less damage than the one's before them thanks to the second Defense Curl and it only make the bug's confidence rise. He felt himself rolling faster and faster as he headed back towards the Bellsprout for a second hit.
Phillip watched his pokemon circle back around as he gained speed. Of course he knew that Rollout was a multiturn attack. He also knew that its power doubled after every turn it was used. So long as Grani was slowed down or stopped the attack would keep getting stronger. "Just keep rolling, Grani! Pick up speed and ram her a second time!" The youth called. He was relieved to see that the Paras was able to jump out of the way of the initial Rollout. For now the mushroom pokemon seemed to be out of harm's way.

Paras shook in fear. He had done it now. Bellsprout was going to whip him till he bled this time, no doubt about it. He had to run, had to hide! He didn't want to live the life of a slave any longer but it was all he had ever known. He cowered close to the ground, wondering what he was going to do next. Where could he go that Bellsprout couldn't find him? He scurried over to the trainer and cowered behind his legs. Maybe the nice trainer would protect him? <Get back here slave! I demand you fight to the death for your master!> The Bellsprout was enraged by the fact that her own slave had turned against her! Simply outraged! She would have to have a talk with her dealer as soon as this was over with. Her small body moved out of the way from the next rollout attack, unafraid of the bug type that was attacking her. She would show them all what was what! Her vines snaked out once more in an attack. Level 4, Male [Effect Spore/Dry Skin] - Scratch- Young, Intelligent. [cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true]Grani was caught off guard when the Bellsprout sidestepped out of the way. Being a beginner to battles, he didn't have the best control, and hadn't really considered what he would do if his opponent actually managed to dodge his attack. Startled and unnerved, the Venipede rolled full force into a tree and was jarred out of his curled-up form by the impact. As if things weren't bad enough, almost as soon as he uncurled, two harsh Vine Whips came and lashed the bug's underside mercilessly. The bottom parts of a Venipede's shell was supposed to be flexible enough to allow the pokemon to roll into a ball. In other words: it was thinner than the armor on his back.
The pokemon hissed in aggravation and curled back into a ball, in the hope that his hardened backside would offer better protection. The plus side was that he still had a dual advantage against the Vine Whip attacks, so they didn't do as much damage as they potentially could've. Still, he was starting to see just how difficult a true battle was, as well as how exhilarating.
Meanwhile, Phillip looked down as the Paras scuttled behind his legs in fright. The youth smiled and was about to offer reassuring words when all of a sudden he heard a "crash!". Phillip's attention immediately went back to the battle and he watched in panic as his pokemon was hit with a critical blow. "Crap! What now!?" He thought with worry. This was his first battle, and he'd be damned if he lost it. So far it looked like the Bellsprout was better at attacking from a distance with her vines. But Grani's only two offensive moves at the moment were Rollout and Poison Sting; one of which was a ranged attack, and another was difficult for Grani to control at his current level. "Think Phillip, think! Grani's depending on you!"
Finally, the trainer issued a command. "Grani, start rolling towards the Bellsprout!" He ordered. To his delight, Grani obeyed. The Venipede started rolling, faster and faster. Phillip watched his pokemon and concentrated on nothing but timing. Then, "Jump and use Poison Sting!"
Grani obeyed and launched himself into the air by uncurling in mid-spin and pushing off with his posterior. Now sailing through the air at a very close distance to his enemy, it looked as if he were on a collision course with the Bellsprout. The reason being was because he was on a collision course with the Bellsprout-- but not without a last-minute gift. Opening his jaws, the Venipede spat poison needles at point-blank range, practically right into the other pokemon's face. | [atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true] Grani Gender: Male Level: 5 Abilities: Poison Point & Swarm Attacks: Defense Curl - Rollout - Poison Sting - Spikes Actions: Hit by Vine Whip (Critical Hit); Used Defense Curl and Poison Sting +3 Defense; Starting to fatigue

Pokemon encounter ! The Paras felt warmth in his chest when the trainer smiled at him. How.. how could a trainer be so kind to just a wild pokemon, like him? Especially one that had acted so weak in the face of opposition. Looking past the trainer's legs, he saw that his pokemon was working hard to fight off the horrible slave driver. And here he was, cowering like a piece of dirt in the wind.
No - he wouldn't allow himself to be disgraced in such a way. The fire in his heart lighting in his eyes, the oppressed Paras scuttled towards the evil, horrible Bellsprout and lashed out with one of his claws to wound the plant that had ruined his life. A cry of pain emerged from the tyrannous plant just before he was hit by the Venipede's poison sting, which inflicted poison on her. In her weakened state, she had two options: run, or faint. She opted for the former and tried to limp away before her two opponents destroyed her. ::bellsprout:: POISONED Level 6, Female [Chlorophyll] -Vine Whip- Thinks everyone is her slave. [cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true]Phillip pumped his fist when he saw that not only did the attack hit, but the little Paras had chosen to fight as well! "Yeah! Way to go, you two!" He exclaimed in excitement. He watched as the Bellsprout tried limping away. As much as this Pokémon probably deserved it, he felt a little bad for attacking at this point. Clearly her trying to flee was an admission of defeat, and attacking a fleeing opponent just left a bad taste in his mouth. Still, this was Pokémon training, and if he wanted Grani to get strong, he had to man up and battle to win. Steeling himself, Phillip nodded to his starter. "Finish her, Grani."
Grani nodded and opened his jaws. He then spat poison needles at the female Bellsprout once again. Unlike his trainer, Grani had no reservations with attacking a defeated opponent. It felt good to be giving the finishing blow in a battle. His first battle. The thought of him doing it over and over again for perhaps years to come was exhilarating to say the least. | [atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true] Grani Gender: Male Level: 5 Abilities: Poison Point & Swarm Attacks: Defense Curl - Rollout - Poison Sting - Spikes Actions: Used Poison Sting +3 Defense; Starting to fatigue

ThankfulMistress Bellsprout thought for a moment she was safe, that she was quick enough to flee from the Venipede and get to safety. She could taste freedom. Well wasn't that ironic? The poisoned barbs slammed into her back and the poison tore through her system, knocking her to the ground and taking the energy from her body mercilessly. She coughed once and then blackness overtook her. Paras looked completely happy. He was overjoyed and relieved to still be standing while his master was fainted on the ground. With bright eyes he turned to the trainer and deeply bowed his head to him.
"I can't possibly thank you enough." The orange insect spoke softly. Although he was hard to hear and didn't speak more than a whisper, he sounded rather elegant and clearly had some brains within his buggy skull.

[cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true]Grani clicked with joy as he watched the Bellsprout fall to the ground. So this was what battling felt like. So this was what winning felt like. It was awesome.
His victory high was cut short when the Paras muttered something about being thankful. The red bug looked over at the other pokemon and narrowed his eyes. He could totally take this one too. Turning towards the Paras, he lowered his head and stomped his tiny feet before--
"Grani, don't be so aggressive," Phillip admonished. The trainer bent down and scooped up his starter before the bug had a chance to start another fight. It was one thing to beat that Bellsprout, but he wasn't about to allow his own pokemon to attack the one that they had just rescued. Phillip smiled down apologetically at the Paras. "Don't mind him. He's just excitable, that's all. Ah- HEY!" The youth yelped as he felt his pokemon start to nibble fiercely on the hand that was holding him. "Cut that out, Grani! I'm not dropping you, so quit!" Phillip growled with annoyance as he held the Venipede at arm's length. "Anyway, you're very welcome, little one," The young man said, switching his attention down to the Paras again. He may not have been able to understand poke-speak, but the bow was easy enough to interpret. "I'm just glad that you-- would you quit wiggling!?" He once again turned back to the pokemon in his grip, who was now wiggling back and forth. Phillip couldn't tell if he was trying to escape or was just throwing a fit. | [atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true] Grani Gender: Male Level: 6 Abilities: Poison Point & Swarm Attacks: Defense Curl - Rollout - Poison Sting - Spikes Actions: Is being a pain

The display of aggression from the Pokémon that had just assisted him frightened the Paras, and he backed up with a whimper and swallowed his fear. Was Grani going to attack him too? Suddenly Phillip – the trainer – plucked the bug from the ground and help it as it writhed in his grasp, trying to escape. Paras observed as the Venipede started chomping on Phillip’s hand, then wriggling.
A giggle escaped the Paras, and he instantly regretted it. The Venipede was sure to beat him to a pulp if he thought the Paras was making fun of him. Fumbling desperately for an excuse, the dual type edged away, his eyes wide. He waved, and then tried to bolt, racing for the trees, though the trainer could stop him if he tried...

[cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true]"Oh, hey!" Phillip called out in alarm as he watched the Paras make a bolt for the trees. It was obvious that Grani scared the poor little fella, which just made the trainer feel embarrassed. "Um, sorry!" The youth yelled in apology. Soon the bug Pokémon was out of sight. Phillip looked at his starter crossly and gave the Venipede a small shake. "No look what you've done, you little troublemaker, you. How the heck am I supposed to catch more Pokémon if you keep scaring them off or beating the tar out of them?" He shook the bug again to emphasize his point, but it only earned him another bite on the hand. The problem was that this time the Pokémon seemed to mean it.
"YOWCH!" Phillip yelped. This time he did let go of the Venipede, just when Grani had decided that he didn't want to let go now. So now Phillip was stuck staring at a foot-long bug hanging off his hand by its bear-trap jaws. To say that it hurt was an understatement. To say that he didn't deserve it, though, would be a lie.
The trainer harrumphed and sat his ass down as he continued to stare at the bug currently omnoming on his hand. "Okay, so I can't say that I didn't deserve this," He groaned. Grani wiggled his body to tell Phillip to continue. The trainer just sighed and said, "Yes, yes-- I'm sorry I yelled at you and shook you around. Now would you please release my hand? I only have two, you know."
The bug Pokémon thought this was a rather silly point to make, seeing as he himself didn't have any hands, but he let it go. At the same time, he also let his trainer's hand go, and fell to the ground with a thump. From his position on the ground he gave himself a moment to admire his handiwork (pun not intended).
Phillip observed it also, but more in slight shock than anything. "I'm bleeding. I'm bleeding. You drew blood!" The trainer turned in hand over to check the full extent of the bite. "There are even little teeth marks! I didn't even know you had teeth!" To his chagrin, Grani simply waved his antennae in what appeared to be satisfaction. "You're a little terror, you know that?" The trainer sighed. He then reached into his backpack a fished out a roll of bandages. He considered himself lucky that no venom was injected. If it had been then he would've known immediately due to the intense burning pain felt when Venipede venom enters the blood stream. "What am I going to do with you?" He pondered while wrapping his hand. "I'm serious about needing to catch pokemon, you know. As much as I wished they did, they're not just going to drop into my lap."
It was with the universe's extreme wisdom and love of irony that an Abra suddenly warped onto Phillip's lap. The trainer yelped in surprise and his hand shot out to steady him on the ground, when it slipped on a pokeball that had fallen out of his pack. The capsule then shot out and hit the Abra on the side of the head before sucking it in and capturing it. The youth just sat there for a while, unsure of what exactly just happened. Finally, he threw his hands up in defeat. "I give up! I just give up. Congratulations Arceus, you win. I mean, who needs to work for a Pokémon when, apparently, there are hordes of them just falling out of the sky!" | [atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true] Grani Gender: Male Level: 6 Abilities: Poison Point & Swarm Attacks: Defense Curl - Rollout - Poison Sting - Spikes Actions:Being a literal pain

It seemed as though to make the poor Trainer’s day even more shitty and confusing, it started thundering down with rain. Pokémon started to hide, though Water types seemed to appear now, relishing in their natural environment. A brief amused chuckle of thunder echoed across the skies, which seemed to seal the weather change...
From the foliage, a Minccino dashed out with his fur flat against his head, his tail streaming out behind him. With rain blinding the normal type, he didn’t see Philip until it was too late and cannoned softly into the man’s side with a squeak of alarm. When it finally got off the ground, it was covered in mud, and though it looked very angry, it said nothing and started shivering.
“S- Sorry, mister,” he excused himself, curling his tail around himself for warmth. “A- Arceus made it rain for some reason, a- and I think my nest will flood. It has my k- kid in it. Can y- you help me p- please?”

[cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true]As if his day wasn't bad enough, the skies suddenly decided to open up and dump a torrent of rain on his head. Phillip grumbled as his bangs started sticking to his face. Legendary pokemon really like messing with beginning trainers, didn't they? As thunder roared in the distance, he swore that he could hear Zapdos laughing at him. Or Thundurus, or whoever was in charge of storms nowadays. He swore that religion was much less confusing when he was a kid.
While he was debating which legendary pokemon to shake his fist at, Phillip felt something hit him in the side. The youth turned to see a muddy and shivering Minccino. "Wow, a Unovan pokemon," Phillip beamed. The pokemon squeaked something, but the boy never could understand pokemon. Rumaging in his coat pocket, he fished out his pokedex, which was now thoroughly wet.
"Minccino, the Chinchilla Pokémon. Minccino loves shiny things and will use its tail as a brush to clean any objects that are dirty."
"You must hate being all muddy then," Phillip noted. In an attempt to clean the pokemon a bit, he extended his jacket sleeve to try and wipe off some mud, only to have Grani grab the sleeve and start pulling it. The bug pokemon started clicking, while Phillip just got annoyed again. "Seriously? Arceus-- you are SUCH an attention whore!"
Just when the Minccino's plea for help seemed to be lost, a white light burst from a pokemon near Phillip's lap. It materialized into the newly-caught Abra, who faced the Minncino and said calmly, <"Just lead the way. Don't worry, I'll make sure he follows."> | [atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true] Grani Gender: Male Level: 6 Abilities: Poison Point & Swarm Attacks: Defense Curl - Rollout - Poison Sting - Spikes Actions: Being an attention whore

The Minccino wasn’t too pleased when the Trainer started cleaning him off. No, he needed to get back to his den! He wriggled restlessly when the Trainer attempted to clean some of the mud from his fur and he backed up, shivering low to the ground when Grani started to demand attention. Wow, just wait until that thing evolved to it’s final form...
But when the Abra appeared from the Pokéball, apparently having heard the predicament, he felt a pang of relief. Good, he had someone’s attention! The Minccino smiled gratefully at the Abra and darted off past the Trainer, heading back to his nest. He didn’t seem to mind being muddy as much as others would, but that might just be from the desire to protect his nest...

[cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true]The Abra watched as the Minccino darted off before getting to his feet. It was pretty rare to see an Abra wide awake, but at the moment he certainly was. Perhaps getting hit in the head with a pokeball had something to do with it. Regardless, the newly-caught pokemon decided to take charge of the situation. For starters, he turned around to face his new trainer and unclipped the first pokeball on his belt. He then chucked the thing at Grani, who was currently latched to Phillip's face (how or why is currently unknown). In a flash of red, the pokemon was recalled. A slightly crude method of recall, but it worked for now.
Phillip, for one, had no idea what was going on. On moment he was being, what he could only describe as "aggressively-hugged" by a bug pokemon on the face. The next there was a bright red light and Grani was nowhere to be seen. All that was present was the new Abra he'd caught by some miracle. Even the Minccino was nowhere to be seen. "Hey, where'd that other pokemon go?" He asked. The Abra simply pointed to a spot in the bushes and started running in the same direction. "Whoa, wait!" The trainer yelped in surprise. He quickly got to his feet and shouldered his backpack, then ran after his pokemon. Obviously Abra knew where he was going, so he guessed that the only thing to do would be to follow him. | [atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true] Grani Gender: Male Level: 6 Abilities: Poison Point & Swarm Attacks: Defense Curl - Rollout - Poison Sting - Spikes Actions: Was recalled

Pokemon encounter ! The Minccino felt his heart leaping in his chest as he considered the possible situations he could be running back to. First, his house could be already ruined by now. Second, some other Pokémon could be taking shelter in it. Heck, for all he knew it could be on fire. They'd find out when they got there.
And it didn't take long for them to find it. The rodent knew his home well; it was overshadowed by a large rock that acted as a roof. The hole that was his home was wide at the edges, leading into a cozy sized room.
By now, the room was almost completely flooded. The Minccino fretted about, utterly upset that his home was in this awful state. He, like any other Minccino, preferred when everything was nice and tidy. But now everything in his burrow was probably swamped in mud. <Whatdowedo!? Ooh, I'm going to have sweep so much when this is over.. My berries are all going to rot..> He began gumming on his own paws nervously, too frantic to think about how he could fix the situation.
