{desc=pyral}Full Name: Keiran Clow
Gender: Male
Age: 14 [Oct. 8th]
Appearance: Keiran is a rather scrawny boy due to spending more time in libraries than exercising or eating. He’s tall for his age, but not excessively- around five foot seven, which would be completely normal for an older teen. He has fluffy silver hair kept tamed by a thin silver headband he wears, though below this it still fluffs up no matter how carefully he brushes it. His facial features are soft and almost childlike, and his skin is bookworm-pale and lightly freckled. His eyes are a bright green in color, and often have a dreamy, unfocused look to them. He only ever wears loose, comfortable, fairly simple clothes, and prefers outfits that are green, yellow, black, and white. His favored shoes are sandals or sneakers, depending on the conditions. He walks with a slight limp.
Personality: Keiran is a very intelligent boy. In fact, he's extremely skilled at math, and analyzes numbers and breaks down real-life objects into equations the way some people draw things for fun. He's rather quiet, not going out of his way to start conversations, and is a bit awkward around people. He's friendly enough, though, and as he rarely mentions his love of math, he appears to be daydreaming to the outside observer. Keiran does like people, even if he has a hatred of incompetence, but he feels very few emotions, and as such, shows few. This scares him a bit, and he keeps trying to find a friend who will unlock the numbness in his heart.
[quiet natured]
Background: Keiran was born in Hoenn, but his family moved to Fall City in Fiore while he was very little. He grew up with both parents rather distant, though they did provide him with money for the few material objects he asked for. His mother was always off with her other female friends, leaving him at school or at the library all the time. His father, meanwhile, worked out of town more often than not. He became socially withdrawn and very book-smart as a result, being intelligent to begin with. As he grew older, he became rather independent as well, and even ended up cooking most of the dinners that anybody ate at his home- his mother showed some initiative in making him eat more than he was inclined to in an attempt to make him less scrawny. Even though he was advancing rapidly in school, though, there was a constant loneliness that Keiran was unable to shake; he was unable to comprehend it as well, with his mind so analytical and unused to dealing with emotion. He eventually became so depressed due to his inability to deal with this that he attempted to kill himself. Without a Pokemon or any Rangers, he went off into the Krokka Tunnel and wandered aimlessly into the deepest parts of the cave, having heard that it was incredibly dangerous. He managed to end up in a side branch of the tunnel that connected to a vast underground cave system. When he found an area where the rock seemed unstable and weak, he kicked the wall with all the strength he had (which was admittedly not much). This was enough to cave in the entire roof. He had miscalculated, though, and rather than being crushed near-instantly under tons of rock, he found himself pinned, his leg in a lot of pain, under some rubble, with a new sloping entrance into the cave from above. He could see the sky, and feel the open air, and he could easily shove all the rocks off of himself except the one trapping his leg. He only managed to stay conscious like this for a short time, having been walking two days already. While he was unconscious, some local Pokemon decided to poke around this new cave that had suddenly opened up in the middle of their home. Most of them didn't notice, or avoided, the human boy. However, a Glameow approached him to try and take some food from him, assuming that any traveling human would have some goodies on them. She was very surprised to find that the human had nothing on him but his clothes. Most wild Pokemon would have just shrugged and left, but she was intrigued, so she attempted to wake the boy up. Keiran finally responded to the cat's prodding, but was very dazed and still in pain, so he was pretty much incoherent and useless and passed out again within a couple minutes. Luckily for Keiran, this Glameow felt a bit sorry for the injured, trapped human kid, and when Keiran woke up a second time, with a clearer head, he found a wild Glameow watching him, a berry sitting in front of him. The shock of what had gone on had awakened some emotion in him, and he no longer wanted to die. So after accepting the berry and thanking the Glameow, he asked the feline if it could help free him. The Glameow didn't really want her new plaything to go away just yet, though. She knew she could offer a random strong Pokemon a prime berry from the upper branches of a tree to move or break the rock, but this was more fun. Disregarding the fact that Keiran was trapped, helpless, unable to move to find somewhere to go to the restroom or feed himself or treat his leg (which was still hurting him a lot), the Glameow just kept showing up with a berry or two for him for the next few days, meowing at him to see if she could get the human boy to understand him. While Keiran did begin to catch on, he was also getting weak from the constant pain in his leg and the insufficient food. Finally, the cat Pokemon had a Machop move the rock, and Keiran was free. But he was free with a broken leg, not enough strength to walk even if his leg had been alright, and the tunnel caved in and no idea how to go home. He only managed to get himself out of the cave onto the grass. The Glameow now realized that it was partially her fault that Keiran was in such bad shape, and decided to help him. This consisted of dragging Keiran over rough terrain for a good mile until they found a path. Once he was found, he was taken to the hospital for dehydration, a broken leg, and other things that tend to happen when stranded in the wilderness with your leg pinned under a big rock and one berry to eat every day. His parents were contacted (they had believed him to be dead), and aside from his leg, he recovered quickly. The Glameow continued to visit him, often climbing up on windowsills to see his "pet human". Keiran occupied his recovery time by playing along with the Glameow's attempts to teach him to understand cat. This went pretty well, all things considered, and he eventually named the cat Pokemon "Terezi". When the cast on his leg was finally removed, Keiran was a good deal more cheerful than he had been before the incident, due to having slowly come to appreciate the Glameow's company and now having a friend, and the only physical reminder was the fact that he now walked with a bit of a limp. His parents, though, had suddenly become much more protective of him and involved in his life, to the point where it was stifling. He did not appreciate being coddled, but it was hard for him to do anything about this. While his parents didn't entirely approve of his Glameow friend staying around, Terezi was really more a tame Pokemon than a wild one at this point, having developed a habit of sneaking into Keiran's room to sleep on the foot of his bed and following him everywhere. She had come to consider him an equal rather than a toy, once they could communicate on equal terms. Eventually, Keiran's parents decided to move to Hoenn, Terezi insisted on coming with him (telling him that he wasn't going to go have fun without her), and the boy saw his chance. Taking Terezi, a bag of clothes, and some food money, he purposely got on the wrong ship, bound for Cheyenne instead of Hoenn, so he could start off on a journey of his own.
Info: gods histories are hard and I keep reusing parts of them :/ At least most of this is new. Though now it's tl;dr. Male Glameow prestarter. Keiran can understand cat Pokemon without assistance- ONLY cats though.
