Blitz heard of Cheyenne Falls. He heard of the rare treasures that this region possessed, and also a weird abandoned cabin that no pokemon would ever visit. He heard of a lot of secrets to this region and wanted to figure them all out for himself. But first, he had to heal his pokemon before he came here. Thus, moving into the pokemon center, he quickly went to heal his team prior to arriving at the Falls. Although he didn't defeat the move tutor and get Waterfall, he had another way of getting to Cheyenne Falls. He had recently bought the HM Fly off of a trainer and used it on his Rufflet (don't ask how), on the back of his pokemon he was able to get up here and explore a little... "Finally... Cheyenne Falls!" Blitz said. Blitz is finally here!

::tauros:: ( Tauros ) Level 15 / Male Tackle, Tail Whip, Rage, Horn Attack, Scary Face, Pursuit Personality - Fueled by blind rage ( Bouffalant ) Level 16 / Male Pursuit, Leer, Rage, Fury Attack, Horn Attack Personality - Dumb as a rock Up ahead two great beasts were locked in combat, trying their hardest to best each other and prove who was the stronger of the two. The first, the Tauros, would attack with plenty of haste but didn't seem to be thinking too far into the future. He was expending all of his energy and not saving any for later. On the other had the Bouffalant was fighting in the most ridiculous sort of way, never taking advantage of an opening the Tauros gave him when the Tauros made a mistake. Neither seemed to be very intelligent, but both seemed to be strong willed and muscular poke'mon. The snorted and bellowed, making angry sounds as they headbutted each other and tried using their horns to best the other.

It gave Blitz some enjoyment when he saw the two dumb pokemon just ramming hard into each other, making a fool of themselves while they were at it, but he also saw the strength and size of the two and did not really want to bother them. The two did not look that strong, even though they were huge so they weren't of much interest to the trainer. He was here on a mission, to find treasures and not to pick fights with these pathetic pokemon. Blitz quickly chose to take the direction on the left upon seeing them block off the path north of his. In his mind he just thought about how stupid they were, and how stupid they looked fighting right now and chose not to waste any time with either of them. Had he wanted, he could have probably defeated both instantaneously, but he had no interest or motivation in doing such a thing. Instead he just went about his journey and ignored them, better that then pick a fight... Blitz ignored them and went left

The roars of both beasts faded away as Blitz wandered away from them. They hadn't noticed his arrival and so he wasn't missed when he walked away. They'd continue to fight until one knocked the other silly.
The first instance of treasure came a short time after he left the pair of horned poke'mon. In a nearby stream, an off shoot of the large waterfall, a huge red orb was sunken into the ground. Nothing but the round, shiny sphere could be seen. It was nothing like any item that was common within the poke'mon community. A well-educated and observant trainer would probably notice it was the red center of a Staryu who had buried itself into the sand and mud of the stream. An average trainer would be in for a surprise should he try to remove it from the ground.

Blitz wasn't the typical average trainer around Cheyenne... He was below average by many standards. Sure he had fire power and strength, but besides that he was rather mediocre as a pokemon trainer. He had a quick temper, he was a bit radical, and he made decisions very quickly without thinking of the consequences until they were too late. When he saw a red orb, he instantly thought it was a treasure and walked close, attempting to pick it up from the sky. He tried to grab it with both of his before attempting to pull, that probably wasn't the smartest idea seeing how a Staryu was just lying there... Possibly about to attack when it gets provoked. But Blitz wasn't thinking straight at the moment, he saw something and wanted to go and get it. Stupid Blitz =(. Blitz tries to pick up the "red orb" that is the Staryu's center

WOOPS! That was something that probably shouldn't have been touched, because the Staryu woke right up without knowing what was going on. He was half asleep, but this was simply overwhelming and he felt an intense survival instinct kicking in. His red gem was not something to be eaten, and he was prepared to protect it!
Popping out of the water, he sprayed a cold blast of water at his attacker. He didn't care who it was, as long as the thing backed off. He wasn't about to get eaten today! The cold blast would probably splash against Blitz's face with a nice amount of power. Hopefully he didn't get pushed back to fall into anything.

A well educated and observant trainer would have known that the Staryu was simply protecting itself when it attacked Blitz with a gush of cold water. The force was so strong that it pushed him toward the edge of the waterfall, almost falling off to his death. A good trainer would have ignored it though as it was just a survival tactic... An average trainer would have overreacted for a second before calming down and realizing the situation and assessing it then. An average trainer would not have flipped out like that. A below average trainer would have instantly taken out a pokemon to save his butt. And Blitz was exactly that, below average. He quickly ran back from the falls, preventing himself from falling to his death and had his Luxio out for battle. Instantly reacting to the events. When Sphinx hit the field, he noticed that they were in a weird secluded spot with the most beautiful water fall. The scary thing was, the area was a bit slippery so in an instant he could have fallen to his death. >Woah the epic hero must watch out or his story will end here in a tragedy. He must watch out soon or else.< The Luxio began to speak about himself. But he was instantly stopped by Blitz. "Use Bite!" Blitz said and instantly the epic hero began to run at the Staryu with his mouth open to try to eat the red orb. >Sorry bud, the epic hero is being controlled by a pesky human. It's too early in the story for him to get away.< He said. ::Luxio:: Summary: Used Bite Name: Sphinx Level: 19 Gender: Male Ability 1: Rivalry & Intimidate Attack Set 1: Tackle, Spark, Bite Attack Set 2: Leer, Charge

The Staryu wasn't paying too much attention to what was going on after shoving his attacker backwards, but he settled back in the sand with a small headache. The attacker was still near him, wasn't he? The thought made the water type worried as he lay still in the sand, becoming difficult to recognize save for the bright red jewel that stood out in the center. Then the flash of a mechanical device rang out to him, and he was left wondering what was going on.
The position he was in didn't give him a full view of what was going on around him, but the moment he heard the voice of a Pokemon's growls and words, he nervously got back on his feet again. He didn't want to battle, but he didn't want to be pushed around either.
The Luxio chased after him with a Bite attack, chomping down on one of his arms and sinking some kind of dark power in him. His red jewel flashed with pain, but he was ready to shake the Luxio off. Suddenly he hopped into the air and began spinning, trying to make all of his points strike the lion's body as he turned around and around.

Unfortunately in the position that Sphinx was in, the rapid spin was not able to be avoided and he tried to hold on to the Staryu which made him suffer enough more damage from the attack, as he didn't want to let go and possibly slip off of the cave and down the water fall to his doom. Blitz's legs couldn't help but shake either in the cave, it was a bit dangerous seeing how one false move, or just one slippery slope and the two could go falling straight down to their demise. The Staryu was lucky, being a water type who could possibly survive such a blast. And Blitz totally wished he had Water Fall now as that would have helped also. Instead, he didn't and had to fend for his life, hold on tight. And that was what Sphinx did which made him suffer a larger blow. While holding on, he suffered every point of the Staryu and when it was done he almost took a step in the wrong direction and fell. >Woah... Epic hero doesn't like this. The tragedy looks to be coming soon... Watch out Sphinx! Watch out Sphinx! Watch out!< He kept saying over and over again. That was until he began to charge his body and give tiny sparks that were directed right at the Staryu that was so close to him. He did not want to stall this any longer as the further the battle went on, the closer he was to possibly dying. Hopefully this combination would finish the Staryu off quickly... ::Luxio:: Summary: Hit by Rapid Spin (Critical Hit). The red orb in the center of his body began to rapidly flash on and off while he was being struck with the electric attack. The brightness of his orb grew to a white-hot intensity until the water type was done suffering from the electric type attack and the orb faded back to it's usual dull red color. He looked tired... but it was hard to tell with the Star-Poke'mon. He really didn't exhibit his emotions all that well. He floated backwards a few feet, giving himself some extra distance before launching himself foreword like a rocket into a tackle attack. His ninja-star like body flew directly at the Luxio.

It would surely lead Blitz on a wild goose chase for a while before he realized it didn't work.
Surely the morph didn't expect Blaze to go hunt down a functioning item finder. Those things were quite rare nowadays, and if the man was just going to use it got his own selfish needs, why would Team Death support that? But a trip to the falls would surely last a couple of months, and until then, Blaze won't have to even think about it. Besides, he could just say that the item worked just fine when he sent it out, and that it broke during delivery.

Blitz quickly saw the red orb shine on and off before finally stabilizing, the weird thing was... Until then, he still had some hope that he saw a red gem and wanted it for himself. But now he finally realized it was the Staryu's orb the entire time. Weird... One would have assumed that he would have picked it up a long time ago, but apparently not. He had just finally realized what it was, and then started to feel bad for interrupting in the first place. Feel bad, not stop fighting though. Instantly he saw the Staryu charge at Sphinx with a tackle and it sent him going back a little ball, stopping himself on his hind leg before he fell down the Waterfall. >Woah! Close one! Epic hero, be careful. Take care of yourself!< He said to... himself... Before he began to give the Staryu a mean leer attack before running at it with a tackle. This was a necessary move for Sphinx as it also brought him further away from the Falls, and closer to the Staryu. He wanted to go that way, not the other way so this was good... Blitz on the other hand, noticed a Moltres up ahead and instantly had his assumptions of where it came from. Originally he thought it was a legendary just visiting and instantly grasped another pokeball in order to battle it. But when it simply flew by and dropped a parcel near him, he realized that it probably belonged to that executive... Blitz sighed and quickly made his way to the sand, picking up the parcel as he was there and opening it up to find an item finder. It started to blink in all directions which made Blitz incredibly excited. It seemed there were treasures everywhere! He just had to wait until his battle was over to find these treasures! "I knew this region was worth it!" He smiled after. Summary: Hit by Tackle. The Staryu was definitely weakening after enduring the seriously damaging combination of Charge and Spark, but he found it in himself to last a little longer. The leer was nothing to laugh at, but he tolerated it with an annoyed squirt of water up in the air. This 'epic hero' had better do something to impress him, or else he was going back to take a nap.
Then there it came, with the tackle colliding right into him and knocking him down like a bowling pin. He gasped as he struggled to get back up, clearly weakening from all of the damage, but he was determined to make another hit. He just had to, if he wanted to survive against whatever this foe was.
He inhaled as much air as he could, with the top horn on his head inflating with a sudden pressure. Then pointing it at the running hero, he sprayed a cold blast of water at the target. Hopefully this sudden bath would teach him a lesson. As the battle was going on, the item finder really was going off. There was something to the right, then something to the left, but hey, that's odd. There appeared to be something right where Blitz was standing.

Blitz waited for the water gun to come at the Luxio before he finally tried to time this as best as he could to defeat the Staryu. He knew that the starfish had to open some sort of portal for the water gun to come in, so this was his key to winning the battle. "Alright Sphinx, wait for it to get to wait... Wait for it... Wait for it... Now charge!" He said and Sphinx began to glow bright yellow as the water gun hit him directly and sent him going back. The attack pushed the epic hero back, but it also allowed him to see very clearly where the portal was that the Staryu used to shoot the water gun. And this was the clear shot that he needed... "Sparks that portal before it closes!" Blitz said and Sphinx let out all of his electric energy into the spark, hoping to get a critical hit in and faint the opponent while he was at it. Blitz on the other hand began to follow his item finder and it threw him in all directions. To the left there were many treasures, to the right there were many treasures... And even below him! He quickly put the defective piece back into his pocket before searching the sand below him, hoping for something... Anything at it. Dig and dig he went. ::Luxio:: (Weakening) Summary: Hit by Water Gun. The Staryu stood no chance against the charge and Spark combo, though one would’ve thought that he would at least see it coming. His legs trembled with the hot sand underneath the two pointy feet, but he wasn’t shaking out of fear. Instead he was tired, and he wanted this to end. It didn’t even feel worth fighting anymore, and very quickly he flopped down to the ground to play possum. Not that it worked, because the Luxio did not hold back in his strike.
The lazy Staryu was simply waiting to be taken out, not even willing to give in an extra effort to dodge or to make one last final strike. The Spark connected at once, at first a tackle but then all of that charged up energy poured right into him. It was painful. Extremely wild. It was enough to put him out like a light without any chance of waking up for a while. The poor water type was left unconscious in the sand, hopefully without anyone else disturbing him for a good amount of time.
Now what was going on with the item finder…there was actually something underneath the sand! It was an empty water bottle with a note tucked away inside. It wasn’t easy to pull out though; you would need to cut it open with scissors or a knife. Otherwise your fatty fingers would never be able to take it out.

Blitz was too preoccupied with the water bottle to notice that the Staryu had fallen. He tried aimlessly to pull it out with his own two hands, although it was just simply way too heavy for him to pull. "Darn you treasure! How heavy can you be! You must be worth a lot!" He said, using his entire body to pull at it as he hoped it'd come out soon so he can get his first treasure of the Cheyenne Falls region. Sphinx simply walked over to Blitz after the battle was over. The epic hero looked at what his trainer was trying to pull out and decided to help. He started to dig the sand from the other side, hoping to loosen it up so his trainer could get his treasure. The problem was, would it help digging out more sand? Or does he still need a knife or a claw? Blitz was basically going to find out as he was too stupid to change plans. He had to pull, and pull with all his might. Blitz is pulling with all his might.

Big Adventures!
It looked as if the Luxio had helped Blitz enough to dig out the water bottle, but that didn't solve the problem of actually opening it. The top was missing the bottle cap, and it was much too narrow to slip his fingers into it. Ripping the plastic apart wasn't going to work, because you would only cut your own skin in the process (plus who rips open plastic bottles?). The bottle was going to need some human tools if you wanted to open it up. Or a Pokemon that can cut things would also work. If the bottle was successfully opened, a special message would be hidden inside:
To those that read my message,
Do you thi_k you are brav_ enough to try my game? If you giv_ up it would be a __ame. Firstly go _nder the __nd
Odd. The ink in the message appears to be smeared from water damage and old age, but most of it is still readable. The paper itself is rather old, with a yellowish tint and a feeling that it was extremely fragile when handled. If you wanted to try the writer's treasure hunt game, definitely keep the message with you. Who knows what kind of prizes he or she has.

"Successful!" Blitz said as he was able to pull the treasure out of the sand. The problem was... It ended up being only a water bottle which discouraged him as he realized how little of a treasure this actually was. But this also meant that the item finder does work, it just didn't always find something "worthwhile." Blitz quickly put the water bottle in his pocket, not worrying about that right now at the moment as he took out his item finder again to see what else Cheyenne Falls had to offer. The epic hero kept trying to poke at it while it was in Blitz's pocket. He wanted to see what was inside, so he kept poking at it... Until Blitz returned him to his pokeball for being such a nuisance. "Stupid pokemon. It's just an empty water bottle. There is nothing inside." Blitz said after the red orb sucked in his Sphinx. Too bad, guess he didn't see the paper at all... Blitz put water bottle in his pocket and then he re-took out the item finder.

BOOP BOOP BOOP BZZT BOOP The broken item finder was making strange noises. Sometimes it sounded like it was detecting something in the ground, and sometimes it sounded like it was about to blow up. It certainly wasn't consistent and it didn't seem to be leading Blitz anywhere but in a big circle. And then the screen went entirely black and the item finder began to get really hot.... but it was still making a beeping sound? Actually it was a nearby Magikarp in a small pond. She was trapped in the small pond, entirely separated from the big waterfall. She had something shiny stuck down in her mouth. It looked sorta blue.
