Full Name: Ash Ketchum Gender: Male Age: 18, born on April 1st.
Appearance: Ash can always be found sporting his usual red and black attire, although the style has changed since his younger days as a trainer. Along with the usual red and white cap covering his short, black messy hair, he now wears a black tank top that covers his now lean and toned torso. Over this he wears his red and white jacket with a white pokeball etched into the back. On his hands he wears black fingerless gloves. His once baggy blue jeans are now fit and hang off of his waist just enough to show muscled lines running from his abs to his nether regions. Around his waist he sports his belt with pokeballs along it, and to complete the outfit he wears a set of black running shoes. His eyes are red, which tend to match the theme of his outfits.
Background: Ash started up simple. He never knew his father, but it wasn't a big deal for him as his mother was more than enough to raise him well. They spent their lives in Pallet Town, where her mother would clean the house with her Mr. Mime while Ash would hang out and help the local professor, Oak, with his Pokémon watching duties. He loved Pokémon from the beginning, and it was only natural that he took training up as his profession when he was old enough.
As he explored Kanto with his beloved started Pikachu at his side, Ash encountered many legendary Pokémon and made new friends along the way. He eventually challenged the Champoin of the Elite Four which happened to be his long-time rival, Gary Oak, and beat him to become the Kanto League Champion. After his victory, Ash moved on to Johto, where he proceeded to learn more about the new types of Pokémon there.
And now, after becoming quite the accomplished trainer over the past few years, Ash has decided to come to Cheyenne with the promise of new place, new faces, and new Pokémon to catch. The idea excites him like no other, and he is ready to take on a brand new challenge.
Personality: Unlike most people of great fame and power, Ash is typically a fun guy to hang around. He isn't snooty in the least, and that's probably why so many people flock to him automatically. He loves to meet new people and pokemon, and he loves to test his strength to others in friendly battles wherever he goes. For the most part he is an extremely happy-go-lucky guy with out any worry in the world; but if you try to hurt his friends or loved ones, you'll be on his grudge list until he can repay what you have done to him. Other than that, he's a truly loveable guy who has confidence, but doesn't reek of it.
Of course, being a teenager has been quite hard on the lad. Being so caught up in training and traveling, Ash hasn't had time to really develop in the romance section of his life. He's had a few companions on his travels, but no one ever stuck around to actually become something more to him. Everyone eventually left, except for his loyal pokemon. At hear, Ash is a truly romantic guy, and has a secret wish to find someone he could fall in love with. Along his journey he grew to find both males and female attractive, learning from his pokemon that gender didn't matter when it came to love and friendships. His emotions tend to run him at times, though he tries his best to control them in front of people. He hides his human lonliness by befriending more pokemon. At heart, all he truly wants is to be loved by someone.
Info: He's quite the accomplished and experienced trainer, so he knows quite a lot about type weaknesses and the like. But he's decided to start out this time without his beloved Pikachu to get the full experience in this new region with these new Pokémon.

oh lulz canon characters. NOW I KNOW YOU'RE STAYING TRUE TO ASH'S TV PERSONA, BUT BUT BUT...yeah you need to take a new twist on him. 8 years passed since all of the crap he went through, so you're going to have to reflect that somehow in your writing. Now that he hopefully hit puberty, you gotta give something from that.
It's a difficult age in a person's life. Sure he had that goal to be a Pokémon Master when he was age 10, but how has that changed? Can he really keep having that goal for 8 years?
I'm not asking for a traumatic past or anything of the like, but look into the personality a little more. He's more experienced as a person, and I'm sure he's bound to make mistakes. Just like everyone else. Have fun working on that! If you get stuck on this, feel free to ask questions. I'm sure the other mods would like to give advice if you asked. <3
