Abi guided Ori towards the large tent that was the Ranger Station. It was here that she would perhaps find herself a new pokemon to train. Though whether they would get along with her and Ori was yet to be seen. He was still young, so he would love any new companion. But she was protective and downright picky.
Ori was nearly large enough to ride for long periods of time now, but she was still cautious about pushing her friend too hard, so today they were just walking peacefully together.
As they neared the entrance to the tent, Abi stood to the side, waiting for someone to come out. She didn't want to leave Ori on his own and she doubted whether he'd be allowed inside or not. So she stood, arms crossed, not unhappy, but feeling wary all the same.

'Cynthia' As Abi and her Ponyta waited outside, a mysterious girl who did not belong in the Cheyenne region quickly came out of the Ranger Tent, wearing only a tanktop with her bra strap hanging from her left shoulder. She definitely wasn't dressed with the weather today and her skin quickly began to get frost bites and goosebumps as she looked at Abi. Her hair was a mess and her sweats were a bit ripped, revealing pink underpants. Although she looked like a mess, she did not act like one at all. When she spotted Abi she turned and introduced herself to the trainer right away. "Hi. Name is Cynthia, and who may you be?" She asked Abi. Although she did not have the custom ranger gear, so could Abi really trust a girl like this? Who knows? [OOC]: No idea where I'm going with this plot. Mods you can add your own thing or change to a real ranger if you want lol

The first thing Abi noticed about this stranger was that they clearly didn't know how to dress for cold weather. She felt like rolling her eyes, and making a witty comment, but a nudge from Ori held her back. Yes, that was right, she was trying to be nicer. Dammit. Oh hell, you could see her pink underwear. Abi gritted her teeth, consciously restraining herself.
But the young trainer was taken aback by the courtesy with which the woman addressed her. She inclined her head, reminding herself not to judge anyone too hastily again, "Good afternoon Cynthia, my name is Abi Orichalcum. I'm here to see if I can find a team mate for my journey." She wasn't sure why Cynthia was here, but she saw know harm in giving her the reason she was.

Oh god what had happened here? She looked like either she'd been in one very tough battle or someone had tried seducing her, and had gone fairly far.
“Ah, here for a Pokemon, I see?” Cynthia pursed her lips and nodded. “I guess I can help with that. Okay, if you go inside that tent and turn to your left, you should see a bag on a hook. Take that and when you come back out I'll have your Pokemon.”

Abi nodded to Cynthia and thanked her. She turned to Ori, placing a hand on his soft muzzle and whispered, "I'll only be a minute, stay here ok?" With that she peered inside the tent cautiously and made her way over to the bag, retrieving it from the hook.
As she walked back out to Cynthia she had a look inside it curiously. A good supply of basic essentials. Very nice.

The only problem was, the rarity of the said pokemon was too high for Rangers to give out so unfortunately for Abi, she wasn't allowed to capture this one. Though, Cynthia did not know this so when she saw Abi's face she quickly beamed and presented the fainted Gible to the trainer.
"Congrats! I got you a Gible. I started with one too!" She said, with a big smile as she waited for Abi to try and capture the ultra rare pseudo legendary species. Only problem was, the entire ranger tent had some special hidden sensors which would go off if a ball is thrown at this ultra rare pokemon. Which in return would alert all the rangers to show up immediately. Poor Cynthia not knowing this, and not being an actual pokemon ranger.

Abi blinked, startled at the woman's prompt return, but pleased that she hadn't just abandoned her. However, when the trainer looked down at the pokemon Cynthia had brought her she bit her lip. It was a Gible. That was certainly a rare pokemon, though one that may cause her a bit of trouble considering it's draconic nature. It would be a valuable addition to her team. But just as she was about to reach for one of her new pokeballs, Ori nosed her short brown hair.
<You can't catch it. It's endangered I think. If she were a ranger she'd know that. Maybe we should ask someone else to help us?> he whispered uncertainly.
Abi frowned. Oh yeah.. hadn't she read that rarity list pinned to the fence on the way in? Dammit anyway.... She looked up at the beaming woman, "I'm very sorry," she said, "But I don't think I can catch this pokemon here, even though I would really like to. The rarity list restricts it... Perhaps we should find someone who works here?"
What else could she do? Ori would've trampled her silly had she tried to catch the little Gible.

Cynthia Oh no! Her cover was blown! How did she not know that little tidbit? Seriously? How?! How?! How did she not pick up on that right away?! Cynthia wondered to herself as she tried to save her job really quickly before it got ugly and came to blows. Abi was even starting to doubt her now, asking to find someone else instead of Cynthia. But she just wanted to be helpful, she was already stopped when in the process of making her walk of shame, now she would not even be able to help someone in need? This was too disappointing! She could not accept this and thus she quickly sent out her Garchomp to find the first pokemon she could for the trainer. "Don't worry, my Garchomp is great at finding things. You will have one in no time. And this time, it won't be restricted!" She said. Although honestly, Cynthia wasn't a ranger so she didn't really know the list. So could Abi really believe a word she said? But a trainer with a Garchomp... Probably not someone one wants to pick a fight with! ::Garchomp:: I'll find your pokemon!

Abi frowned, feelin a little suspicious of this strange woman, but she was starting to feel like she'd seen her before somewhere. In the street? no.. Tv? maybe... Was she famous? Abi shook her head, oh nevermind that, she was here to get a pokemon! She looked at Cynthia who looked very disappointed now. Despite herself, Abi felt an urge to comfort her. But then a Garchomp appeared from it's pokeball and she and Ori stepped back a little.
"Oh.." she said weakly, "Em ok..."
No point in arguing now, they'd come to far with this strange situation! At any rate, she could just ask a ranger for help if things went a little too haywire. Ori pawed the ground nervously as they waited for the garchomp to return with her pokemon.

"Looks like you got breakfast instead." Cynthia giggled, surprised to see something so small in his mouth. The Garchomp huffed and spat the bird out on the ground, leaving the Pidgey to twitch and groan on the floor. <I-I'm ok.> It wheezed, though it definitely looked as if it was in pain from the battle it had. It hardly was a battle to something as great as her Garchomp though, making him snort at the words before looking the other way. "A bit messed up and covered in slobber, but birds are fun." Cynthia hoped that Abi wasn't one of those picky trainers that wanted all of the rare ones. She took out one of her own Pokeballs and tapped the bird on the head, allowing it to get captured inside. Now that the formal stuff was done and out of the way, she held the sphere out with a wink towards Abi. "Girl, you have fun now. Route 1 is usually boring, but if there's fire and destruction anything can be fun." Good advice from a Pokemon Champion. She giggled merrily as she swayed from side to side, hoping there wasn't anything else she had to do. This was her first time being a ranger, so it was all pretty new to her. ::pidgey:: Level 3 Keen Eye - Tangled Feet Tackle||Pursuit Quirk: Optimist

Abi heard the garchomp before she saw him. She turned to see the large dragon returning with what appeared to be a mess of feathers in his mouth. But there was no blood from his kill, how odd. When the garchomp spat out the still live pidgey however, Abi blinked, stunned. She was impressed with the garchomps gentleness, but also frightened. Had he seen her wings? Had he brought her a pidgey on purpose? Did he know she was a pidgey morph? She fluttered her feathers, checking to make sure they were still safely hidden from view in her bag on her back.
Ori whinnied appreciatively when Cynthia handed over the pokeball containing Abi's new pokemon. He liked the idea of her having a bird companion. He knew that secretly she did too.
Abi nodded to Cynthia and her garchomp, "Thank you both very much", she said, still feeeling a little overwhelmed.
