It was wonderful, it was huge and magnificent. It reminded him of the mansion his father owned right before he left to become a trainer. Sebastian's purple eyes sparkled, with his hair done up in the back with a small ponytail. He looked even more cute then ever in his purple suit with white frills around the collar. His gray pants went with it well, and the only reason he wore the outfit was to match Ivy's purple color in her fur. Sebastian was surrounded by girls, he complemented them each, making them blush and even want his number, even though he didn't have one. Ivy flicked her two edged tail at Sebastian finally, they needed to enter the arena. Sebastian smiled, this was his dream, to show off his looks to the crowd but as well as Ivy's beautiful fur, and her purple small bow that sat between her right ear. Sebastian clenched his hand into a fist, "Right, We'll do everything we can!" He yelled out pointing to the sky. The girls behind him yowling in excitement as he left to the back rooms and to the arena. Sebastian waved to the crowd and the cheering, with Ivy on his shoulder jumping on his head with a cute meow. Sebastian stroked her head, "Okay Ivy, lets show them, that we are the most beautiful pair in the entire world!" He whispered. Ivy purred with delight, jumping on the ground in front of them. Sebastian clenched his right hand together and pointed outwards. "Right my pretty Ivy, lets make your fur sparkle!" He yelled out. Ivy nodded and began her movements.
The purrloin moved her self in a weasel like way, jumping into the air and two golden platforms small in size appeared on either side of herself. She pulled her paws to one side, slashing the two golden platform in two. The two pieces broke into tiny crystals of sparking gold. Ivy jumped through the mist and landed perfectly on Sebastian's shoulder. Her nice purple fur was covered in golden sparkles, lighting up her fur and even more so making her blue eyes shine. She raised herself and smiled, showing sharp white fangs that reflected the sparkling of the glitter on her body and bow. <Let's get our party in the move> She said in a sweet voice and smiled with her mouth closed. Sebastian nodded, they were going to win for sure, no matter what it took.

Soren wasn't sure why he kept trying. Perhaps failure was just too hard to swallow, perhaps it was because he wanted to win this, he wanted to do things right. He had let himself go a bit, but cleaned his act a little once he heard about this contest. It was unnerving, knowing that Anthony who had seen him at his weakest, running away with his tail between his legs, would be watching him. It made his skin prick and his whole body more than just a little bit uncomfortable.
He decided to use Meris, for this battle. The wingull had been improving his flying a lot, learning the ocean currents and riding the neverending coastal winds. His feathers were well groomed and there was a shine on her beak from a bit of oil that Soren had rubbed on it. The coordinator wasn't a fan of cosmetics, but in Pokémon contest, it was important. It wasn't just about how his Pokémon flew.
Before the battle even started, the other Pokémon used this attack to create quite a wonderful effect. The pokemorph tried not to show his nervousness and told himself that this was going to benefit him. He now knew a bit more about that feline pokemon, and the audience will be less impressed if that move was used again.
Meris, perched on his shoulders, seemed a bit jittery, but willing to jump into action. Just a short battle, right? The bird extended his wings, showing an impressive wingspan and flew around the ring once before settling down on the starting platform.
Soren made eye contact with the trainer standing on the opposite side. He would let him have the first move.

Sebastian was already pumped as it was, if not for his obsession over bird Pokémon. He clenched his fist, he was going to win this it was a definite yes in his book. Sebastian pointed to the flying pokemon, "Lets go Ivy, show them what we are really like." Ivy meowed in agreement. Sebastian moved along with the cat, she mimicked his strange movements. "Use pay day and scratch but formation two this time" He pointed again. This was very exciting, although if his father was watching, he would probably be laughing at him. Sebastian was set on winning, he had his life set sure, but non of that made any sense unless he won something out of it.
Ivy smiled with the order that she was given. Shaking the glitter off of her fur, she started to gain up speed, moving left to right, then sending a golden coin after the bird in the air. Ivy jumped, flexing her muscles so she could get higher to jump off the golden coin as well. She did a front flip then attempted to use scratch right on the birds face. Her balance was perfect, even though, she wasn't sure what would happen next.

The coordinator watched his opponent carefully, trying to read his movements and to predict his attacks. The pay day came out and confused him a bit. The attack hadn't been shot far enough to reach Meris, but he had to admit it did catch everyone's eye with its shine. The purrloin then attacked, using the pay day to propel herself far enough to reach the unsuspecting wingull. The claws hit him in the chest, ruffling his feathers though not quite drawing blood yet.
Soren took a deep breath and called out "Rain!", his voice as confident as he could muster while knowing everyone was watching, staring, judging. Meris heard the command and started to fly up, high above the field, showing off the crisp blue markings on his feathers. The dive down was sudden, the wingull simply spinning around before snapping his wings close to his body and dropping headfirst like a stone. He used a supersonic, the waves of energy concentrating closer and closer to each other as he picked up speed until it was a concentrated disc of energy. A water gun followed the attack, aimed not at the purrloin, but at the supersonic wave, causing the attack to deflect and come down like rain. It would not do as much damage as the initial attack, but the range would be greatly increased. And when the spotlight hit the air just right, the mist created by the reflected water would create rainbows dancing through the sky.

Ivy landed on her paws, easily as any cat would. Then suddenly, her fur was soaked with water. She didn't mind, she hated swimming, but a little rain was something she actually enjoyed. It seemed to show of the bird quite nicely, and it did drag her down a bit. She couldn't stop now though, if she didn't try she would be letting down not only Sebastian but the beauty and grace of a feline as work with her pride. Shaking her fur try with a flick of her tail, it seemed to glitter, the poof added to that as she gave a quick lick and smiled at the bird. He was a worthy opponent, but she was going to win for sure. Ivy looked over at Sebastian, damage didn't matter, unless it showed something to show off from.
Sebastian watched as the mist fell onto Ivy and people seemed to stare at the bird and the rainbows across the sky. Even though his cat's fur shining like the reflection of moon as she shook and made her fur more gallant and soft. She looked at him with a smile for guidance. A fluttering feeling filled his stomach, but he kept a straight face and clamped his fist. "Amazing, but we can do better, lion attack!" Sebastian ordered. His blood was pumped up, he had never wanted to win in anything and after going through so much the first day he had set out as a trainer, he wanted to win something instead of it being given to him. He watched as Ivy twisted her slender body into action.
Ivy looked at the bird in the air, with only dirt on the arena, it would be hard to get him. If she attempted the lion attack which was to use strategy as well, he was still high above the ground. Perhaps she could fall short on purpose, just in case she looked dumb anyhow. The purrloin rumbled her lips, turned her head high towards the bird. She growled at him with a swift soft voice, drifting through the air like a ghost, it appealed like a song as she moved forward and pressed her haunches to jump high in the air in an attempt of another scratch. As she used it, not knowing if she was short of not, she did two front flips and landed on her feet, flipping her back with a charming smile to the crowd. <That's how it's done> She whispered to herself.

The cat definitely had the sass and the attitude to be a show cat. She knew how to work the crowd and how to pose in order to attract attention. It was in their vain nature, and Soren envied it a bit. Meris still wasn't confident enough to display himself like the purrloin did.
The cat's limbs stretched taut as she pounced, growling and flipping into the air. Meris wanted to fly higher up as he saw the attacker come toward him but the growl seemed mesmerize him a bit and he got caught in the attack. It was just a graze but it distracted him enough to have a look of panic flash across his face. To get his pokemon to focus once again, Soren let out a a whistle, a short high-pitched trill that attracted the wingull's attention. "Soak!" he called out, keeping his commands simple. He still wanted to work in his last challenge, but this would not be the turn to use it. Instead, he would see to disadvantaging the other player.
Meris flew lower, swooping down to the dirt arena before letting out a water gun. His aim was a bit random, aiming more to wet the dirt than to truly hit the Purrloin. Mindful and hoping that he wouldn't get hit, Meris sprayed the ground close to Ivy, the dirt forming small pools of water which then mixed into dirt. He hoped to also hit his opponent, or to at least splash her a bit, but Soren reminded himself that this was a contest and the bigger picture was more important. This was about looking good, or at least, looking better than the other pokemon. Dirt in the kitten's fur would definitely ruffle a few feathers.

Ivy heard the simple commands, even though she was more then welcome to concentrate on her well being. I was hard enough, she needed to rape things up. She expected to get hit square in the face by the water gun, but instead it splashed into the ground inches away from her side. Making a wave of mud cover her fur, she didn't have time to re act. Letting it cover her, she let out a bit of a hiss, her fur ruined, her bow soaked. She shook her fur, pulling the bow off and showing bits and pieces of her fluffed fur with brown against them. She sat, licking her paw for a quick moment and straightening her fur line. Streaks of mud made themselves clear, it could have been pleasant, it could have not, but she would have to show just a little mud wasn't going to stop a grand finale. Ivy looked back at Sebastian for a quick moment, flicking her ears.
Sebastian clenched his fists and his teeth at the sight of the mud over his pokemon. It didn't boost their moral when they had just been doing so well, this would be their last shot and she only had three moves in which she had used a lot of her combinations already. Sebastian looked at the bird, he had gotten close to the ground right, the mud was still there too. Plus slapping her paw against the puddle wasn't even a move, Sebastian smiled. He pointed to the puddle making wave movements with his hands, pulling off his hat he looked at her. "Shower it up now Ivy" he bowed a bit before placing his hat back on his head. They had to win, for sure, this move would wrap it up.
Ivy listen watching her trainer carefully, then smiled to the crowd. She stood and splatter the mud into the air everywhere, like a shower it fell back down. Ivy didn't waste time for the rain to finish, she used pay day two golden plats made them self in the air, where she jumped from one to another. When she was high enough she jumped and used scratch on the pay days scattering their golden glow against the rain, having sparkling rain, she landed in the middle, having the shower end, in a magnificence of the show, she had made something out of a mistake. She turned to the bird, standing tall and proud, as if to say beat that.
Sebastian pumped a fist in the air, the shower of golden brown rain made him want to huggle Ivy a lot, like a little child, that was their last move, sure the bird had one more but he had his sight set on the win. Ivy had not only made something out of a mistake, they had improved a lot. "This is the end" Sebastian lowered his voice, excitement rising, although perhaps he was tempting fate too much.

The attack had worked beautifully, soiling the appearance of the feline. It would surely deduct a few points and bring the balance to his favour. The pokemon was readying for the final attack, and Soren also told Meris to get ready. Both knew what they wanted to do and they had one last change to show everyone what they were all about.
Soren recognized what Ivy was doing. The move was similar to her entrance, showing off the gold in the pay day. He had to admit that it was impressive, but the second time around he wasn't sure it would work as nicely. He had worked hard to practice these different techniques and hopefully it will pay off.
As the feline worked on her golden rain, Soren commanded a 'twister!' and Meris started to fly large circles, around the rain of golden sparkles, making them spin around and stay afloat in the air. The bird pokemon then flew up, knownig that this was the last one, the grand finale. The wingull felt nervous but, out of the corner of his eyes, saw that his trainer seemed confident enough, his eyes following his every movement. He was going to succeed -- they had practiced this before!
Once high enough, the pokemon dove down, similar to how he used Rain. Concentrating, he used Supersonic, letting out a quick burst of sound. The waves travelled through the air, the golden dust accentuating the attack, as it came down. flowed down, merging with each other until it was a concentrated ring, displacing the glow. The ripples It wasn't that accurate, but if it did his his target, hopefully the concentrated burst would deal some damage instead of confusing its target.
Whether or not it hit, this was the end. This was the final move, and the wingull did one last victory lap, barely beating his wings as he glided across the room and back onto the floor, folding his wings in almost clumsily when his feet finally touched the ground.
Soren could hardly breathe. The whole contest was over already, with these three short appeals. He certainly hoped he had impressed the judges and put on a great show. He bowed respectfully to the crowd, thanking them for watching and cheering them on. He had done all he could, so there was only judging left.
