Blake stands out in a crowd. He's pretty hard to miss, especially since his hair is pure white.
Not blond, not pale or fair or any other natural excuses. He had it bleached dramatically, and it was already pale blond to begin with, then dyed it. So now it's like a layer of snow is constantly covering his hair. It's a good thing his eyebrows are light, cause otherwise he'd look really weird. As far as length goes, it's short. His hair is almost... fluffy. It sticks out, like he dunked his head in water, shook himself around, and let it dry like that. Some people say he looks like an angry white cat. Which tend to tick him off, making him look like an absolutely livid white cat. Not a friendly pattern.
His eyes are hazel, and can turn blue in the light. This would probably look cool, had his eyes not been caught in a glare almost 24/7. His face isn't exactly thin, nor is it pudgy. He might even look handsome(though, like before, the way he always looks irritated kind of ruins that effect. Or maybe it enhances it, depending on who's looking).
He's fairly tall for his age, with a lean build. Though his skin is naturally a bit pale, he gives off an almost athletic appearance, with lean muscle on his arms and legs.
Clothing and accessories
Blake tends to dress simply. Dark jeans and a T-shirt, normally. When the weather gets cold, he'll wear a basic hoodie.
He keeps his pokeballs on a thin belt, and always wears a silver ring on his pinky finger. He also has a very simple tattoo: three vertical lines running down his right cheek. He claims all the men in his family get this mark.
Background:
Blake comes from a long line of Pokémon trainers. Becoming a Pokémon master is actually the goal of everyone in his family.
So far everyone in his family has failed.
At the age of ten, he received his first Pokémon and traveled throughout the Unova region. He went to each gym, won each badge, and faced the Elite Four.
That was where he failed.
After trying over and over, training his Pokémon tirelessly then battling to their limit, he still couldn't beat the Elite Four.
Angry and bitter, blaming his pokemon, he released all but one and started over in Johto. This time he didn't make it past the eighth gym.
Kanto, Hoenn, the Orange Islands. Everywhere he went, he kept getting worse and worse. And he got angrier at his Pokémon.
Finally, he threw the pokeball of his very first Pokémon into a river and let it be carried away by the rapids. He walked away with no regrets. Weak pokemon, he reasoned, are worthless. Pokémon were tools of battle, meer reflections of their trainer. If they didn't do their job, he'd simply dispose of them and find a new one.
Blake finally returned to his home in Unova and demanded a new Pokémon. After hearing what he had done, his family refused.
He wandered around for days, unable to catch more Pokémon. He went into a kind of depression, not really caring about what happened next. Though he didn't really know it then, he truly regretted abandoning his Pokémon. He walked back to the river where he had disposed of the pokeball.
In a small town near the river, he heard of a new region: Cheyenne. No one new him there. He'd take a ship to Cheyenne and start again.
This time he wouldn't fail.
Quick review: Blake was unable to fulfilled his dream of becoming a Pokémon master in any region. He eventually released all his Pokémon and threw his first one into a river(still in its pokeball). When his family refused to give him a new pokemon, he traveled to Cheyenne.
Personality:
Apparently, Blake has never heard of "treat people how you want to be treated." Unless he wanted to be treated like he was low class scum. He is easily irritated and short tempered. Thought he doesn't yell or scream, he finds ways to make his words extremely harsh. He will lie to and take advantage of others for personal gain, then tosses them aside without a word of thanks or apology.
And that's just how he treats other people.
To him, Pokémon are tools to be used in battle. Like a ladder that will guide him to his goals. If that ladder breaks or rusts, he'll throw it away and buy a new one(metaphorically speaking).
In literal terms, if he considers Pokémon to be weak, he'll release them without a thought for their safety. Or if they've served their purpose, but he doesn't need them anymore. Or if a stronger Pokémon comes by.
Without him knowing it, this is actually a mental defense. By doing this, he's pushing away the guilt and regret of throwing away his first companion.
"Bonding with Pokémon is a waste of time. It distracts Pokémon from their true purpose- to serve their trainers. If a Pokémon is not willing to do so, then they have only themselves to blame."
~Quoted from Blake Selliv~
Info:
He's a complete jerk who denies any soft hearted emotions he may have.
