Seamus couldn't help but feel that he was being invasive, especially with that reaction it was making to his comment. He knew he wasn't supposed to show weakness to anything wild, but he found himself backing up anyways knowing the potential of the Gurrdurr's all muscle body. It wasn't something he wanted to mess with, judging from the large metallic bar he carried over his head. The Bronzor appeared to correct the Pokemon on his mistake, but the Gurrdurr stubbornly continued to hammer away. Keeping an indecisive expression on his face as he stared at the situation, he wondered if it was worth helping out. The house looked like it was for the Bronzor, and if the worker was incapable of building it a shelter, then they were both going to be out here pointlessly for a while.
Rather conveniently, he had a Pokemon with the move Rock Smash. Said Pokemon happened to be uncontrollable and liked to go off on his own in an attempt to rebel against his authority, unless the situation happened to benefit him. That Kabuto provided many many problems for him, but honestly he figured that he was doing them a favor. "Rock Smash." Seamus whispered quietly as he backed away from the Gurrdurr, throwing a Primer Ball out before him as it nearly blended in with the nearby snow.
The Primer Ball recoiled off of the snow, releasing the Kabuto as the sphere smacked back into his hand. Rust hissed quietly to himself as he shivered from the cold, not liking it as his eyes started to dart around, curious as to what he was supposed to be smashing. That rock? That Gurrdurr? He had to take in what was going on for a moment before letting out a single chuckle at the Gurrdurr's lack of a brain. The perfect muscle man, wasn't he? <Shame you're all muscle.> He commented, right claw glowing as he aimed a swift Rock Smash at the obstacle, feeling good that he was able to smash something to show off today. Maybe he'd smash the Bronzor next, see if she would make any interesting sounds...

A WILD POKE'MON ! Could one poke'mon possibly become even more enraged than the Gurrdurr was right this moment? That was, as one would think about it, almost impossible. He had even more veins popping out, especially one out of his forehead. Yeah, this guy was pretty pissed off. But about what? The fact that the Kabuto just helped him, or the fact that he really couldn't make any coherent sense right now? Maybe it was because the Bronzor had the nerve to correct his tactics. Either way, this guy seemed legitimately mad about something, and it probably wasn't even about this. This was probably just some sort of outlet. >FJGKFDSJGFDK< No coherent sense was made, that day. The Bronzor back off, as she watched the Gurrdurr become angrier with the task at hand. Poke'mon tended to be pretty scary when enraged and, well, this guy was definitely to exception to this rule. He was definitely scaring her, quite unlike the poke'mon she had asked to help her build a shelter. The metal plate looked to the Kabuto, taking no notice of the human any longer. >C-Can you calm him down?< she asked, fear actually spiking her voice to go up a few more octaves than she was used to talk in. The Kabuto thought he wouldn't get much pleasure from breaking a rock in the fashion he did; as in, helping another Pokemon with a pointless task that he couldn't benefit from, but the Gurdurr's change in temperament amused him. Was the wittle fighting type's masculine pride hurt when it accepted a bit of help? The Kabuto chuckled in an odd, ominous fashion as he clicked his claws together in amusement. This was interesting, and it was fun to watch. Sadly he didn't realize how out-powered he was against Mr.big and muscular, but he knew when to be careful and when to strike. The Bronzor looked at him with concern, but he didn't mind her at all. <Calm it down? But why would I bother with that?> He laughed again, not caring anymore that he was plopped down in the snow and getting colder by the minute.
This was entertaining and hell, and he was going to stick around for the party. <Gurdurr, I'm judging you. I'm watching you build. I'm always watching.> He started to hiss like a total creeper, twitching every few seconds before bursting into a fit of crazed laughter. It was probably a good time to back off from Rust right now, yep. He was definitely not sane, and he never let loose any good vibes.
Seamus could only watch the three Pokemon with a nervous look, suddenly feeling like it would've been a good idea to actually hide. "Bronzor, you should get away from him..." He slowly advised, wondering if it would be a good idea to recall the Kabuto before any fights were started. If he did though, the Gurdurr would probably end up chasing him through the snowy mountains. Now that would kill him time wise and energy wise.

The Bronzor quickly saw this and took caution. She knew that he could turn on her any second and instantly she shielded herself with a nice safeguard. It helped her feel safe and protected, even though it wouldn't do much against someone like this...

The Kabuto laughed harder at the Gurdurr's reaction, amused that it had been so angry with that one comment. A rock was picked up and thrown at him, and it hurt. It was heavy and gross, making him shudder as his shell made a loud 'clank' on impact. The Kabuto stopped and gave the fighting type a serious look, as if he was trying to hold back his rage at that sudden offense. Attack. Kill. What was better? He growled as he realized how much that attack hurt, and how he should probably get his defenses up to help him plan for the future. <Incapable flesh waster.> He spat, digging his claws deeply into the ground to make himself stable as he stared ominously ahead at the Gurdurr.
He took note of the Bronzor backing off, but didn't pay her much mind. She was a witness, and witnesses weren't bad to have around. In fact, they were good for ego-boosting. He approved. Rust scowled as his substitute formed around him, making him much more tired than before upon usage. Whether the Gurdurr noticed that or not was unlikely, but it gave him more time to figure out what the fighting type was capable of.
"Bronzor, you might be needed depending on how this goes..." Seamus advised, suddenly taking an interest in her when he recalled her specific typing and the advantages it had over the fighting type. Then again, Rust was a problem of his own. It was about deciding which was the lesser of the two evils in this case. Preferably he wanted the psychic type to knock out the Gurdurr, or at least calm it down. That wasn't likely to occur though, seeing that temper.

GURDURR & BRONZOR APPEARED ! Gurdurr grinned triumphantly to himself when he saw that the Kabuto had been pummeled by the rock he hurled at it. Seeing that the shelled creature had done seemingly nothing, he assumed it was surrendering. Well, he took no prisoners in war! <Graaargh!> He roared as he Focused his Energy before running towards the creature, aiming a Dynamic Punch at him.
Meanwhile, the unsettled Bronzor looked at Seamus as he scrutinized her and suggested that he may need her help. <O-okay.> The creature replied, not really having an answer for that. But she wasn't so sure if she'd actually help.

Seamus gave the Bronzor a weak smile at her response, wondering about how much she understood about the situation. If it got so bad he could always send out another Pokemon, but he didn't want the Gurdurr to do any damage to Rust after the Kabuto fainted. A wild Pokemon in a rage could be rather frightening, considering the lack of control they typically had, and an unbalanced sense of right and wrong. They couldn't be trusted to make responsible decisions, which was why he was here, training his own team so he could go beyond that threat of incompetence. The Gurdurr came towards Rust again after a moment of focusing, and he realized what had just happened; Focus Energy. "Dodge it." He demanded, knowing that the Dynamic Punch looked awfully unstable even though it was something very powerful. The Kabuto had his Substitute shield up anyways and didn't see an issue with taking the hit, but grunted as he kicked up a wave of snow as he shifted to the right, giving the punch something to connect with that wasn't his own body. The Kabuto was practically trampled on though due to the awkwardness of the dodge, looking up at the Gurdurr as he was trapped between the Pokemon's feet.
An awkward spot for him to be in, but he was mature enough not to be embarrassed about it. The Kabuto let loose a low growl as he directed his mouth upwards at the Gurdurr's body, taking advantage of how close they were together. <Get off!> He demanded, not liking this feeling of being trapped by such a large creature as he blew out a steaming hot Scald at the fighting type.
'Scald was your choice? Well, I guess I'd move out of the way if someone spilled something hot on me too.' Seamus figured at the thought of coffee being spilled on his lap, having that happen before actually and recalling how swiftly he reacted and moved away. Hot water must've been unpleasant as well, and he frowned at the thought of being hit with such an attack. It was like, what, 5 cups of coffee right out of the machine? No way.

GURDURR & BRONZOR APPEARED ! Gurdurr roared with anger as his fist met with a cold dose of snow instead of the Kabuto's face, and he recoiled, grumbling from the icy feeling. He looked around, realizing that he didn't know where the shelled pokemon was when suddenly he heard the Kabuto's interjection, looking down between his legs just as the scald came right up to meet him. His tummy was roasted, and he let out a deep cry as he staggered backwards, wincing at the unnaturally high temperature. He was used to the cold of the mountain, so it was weird feeling this much heat against him. Luckily, though, he was not burnt.
<Stupid face!> The Gurdurr roared, scrunching his face in a scowl at the fossil 'mon. He wasn't about to give up, so he decided to bitchslap the thing. First he Bulked up, boosting his strength and defenses, before crunching his way towards Rust and lashing out with a Wake Up Slap.
Meanwhile, Bronzor watched from the sidelines, realizing that the trainer might actually need her help. Just to be safe, she executed an Iron Defense to strengthen herself for any possible attacks to fly her way in the Gurdurr's rage.

The Gurdurr's potential was frightening, especially when Seamus felt fear in approaching it. Instead, he took a few steps back from the battle to let the Pokemon exposed to the fighting type's wrath take the heat instead of him. Seamus knew he was a coward, he knew it, but he was old. There was literally no way he could save himself against these types of powerhouses without the aid of a Pokemon. Rust wasn't the most reliable when he started picking fights, but the Pokemon was worth keeping on hand. He enjoyed having such a rare, strong Pokemon around even if the attack list left much to be desired.
The Substitute cracked instantly at the power of the attack, but Sheer Force didn't help boost it. The move was super effective though, and the Gurdurr was bulked up and strong. If the Kabuto didn't have that Substitute up, he definitely would've taken more damage from the attack. The rock type cringed as he scuttled away from the fighting type, now a safer distance away as he sent a leer at him for making him so vulnerable and exposed. That wasn't allowed, nope.
From out of the dark abyss of his shell, that not even his trainer was aware was underneath in fear of being attacked, green orbs flowed right out of him like a parasitic army. The Mega Drain wasn't one of his strongest attacks, and to be frank, Rust had the shittiest attack list ever, but the health that would be given back to him would help. "Not a bad plan..." Seamus commented with a doubtful face, not feeling very hopeful about Rust's strategy. His attacks simply lacked power wise, and that was that.

GURDURR & BRONZOR APPEARED ! Gurdurr didn't notice that the Kabuto felt sort of weird, like he was hitting a doll instead of the real thing. He didn't think much of it at all, continuing to pay attention to his foe's attacks. The leer caused him to shiver a little when suddenly a Mega Drain sapped away some of his health, causing an odd, sucking sensation on him. It felt pretty gross, throwing him into a rage.
He roared with ardor and shook his head, catching the Bronzor in his vision. What was she doing staring at him like that!? Pfft, she was in for some pain too. <Why you givin' me that look?> He growled in a deep voice. He ignored the Kabuto and trudged through the snow towards her, picking up a huge rock along the way and tossing it towards the frightened Bronzor, who got hit by it but didn't mind too much for some reason. Oh. Rock is weak against Steel and Psychic, yay.
Knowing she had to defend herself, the Bronzor looked fearfully at the Gurdurr and sent a Confusion towards him that caused him to roar with pain. Unfortunately, it didn't confuse him.

Suddenly the Gurdurr turned on the very Bronzor it was trying to help, making it a very terrible ally to have around when angry. It was a shame it was like this, and Seamus doubted that it was possible to ever tame. It was simply such a beast that was destined to roam these mountains until some stupid trainer tried to catch it; he wasn't that stupid. Let dumb beasts stay in dumb places, that was the rule. This mountain was cold, isolated and bitter, which made it rather fitting for such a brute. Then again, one could also say that it was fitting for Seamus as well. The Kabuto felt absolutely no pity for the Bronzor as she was struck, instead snickering to himself as a bit of health returned to him. It was refreshing to feel, but it wouldn't undo the damage from his Substitute. Was it worth putting another one up? He didn't think so, he wanted to act quickly.
Seamus did too; attack with haste! "Leer and Aqua Jet, help that Bronzor." By saying that, it certainly made them seem like the good guys. He really wasn't though, and Rust hardly ever was. The Kabuto rolled his eyes at the word 'help' but nodded, he was in this battle for himself, and that's how it was going to be. It was all about him and his subordinates. Not...the weak. That was disgusting to think about. He leered at the gigantic Pokemon, threatening him for the incoming attack that was sure to cool him off.
Water surrounded him completely, almost like a shield, as it propelled him forward with a swift tackle towards the Gurdurr's chin. Maybe that would distract the fighting type a bit, seeing as the Bronzor's Confusion attacks were working. Hell, they seemed to do more than what he was tying.

GURDURR & BRONZOR appeared ! Gurdurr turned his attention back to the Kabuto just as it was leering at him, lowering his defenses even more. Then he suddenly surfed towards him, knocking the dopey fighting type in the chin and causing the great beast to stagger backwards to catch his balance. Eyebrows furrowed as he realized that he was getting tired, especially when the Bronzor hardened herself again and pitched in with an Extrasensory on him. Agony reverberated through the Gurdurr's body from the attack, and his stance showed the sheer pain he was in, breathing unevenly as he glared at the two Pokémon teaming against him.
<Not. FAIR.> He roared as he trampled the snow towards Rust again, attempting another Wake Up Slap on the Kabuto.

Oh man, Rust was in for it now when the Gurdurr charged after him again with another Wake Up Slap. He cringed as he was picked up, bracing himself as he was smacked painfully into the ground, cracking his shell as he hissed and swore from the pain he had to endure. This...this was hell. He was sure of it. <I don't play fair.> The Kabuto commented with a glare towards the fighting type, weakly standing himself back up as he coughed, shaking his claws to let the snow drop off of him. He was cold and he wished that he felt numb, but he didn't. It wasn't even that cold to where he was at the point that it could be numbed away.
Seamus found himself rubbing his gloved hands together then tightening the scarf around his neck, trying to adjust it so it would cover more of his face. It was cold. It was bitter. He didn't like either of the two adjectives, but he was going to have to deal with it. He planned on spending little time around here, but if he had to train then he had to train. The Kabuto was in crappy condition, which he predicted due to the Gurdurr's powers. Then the Bronzor came in unexpectedly and severely weakened the fighting type, actually impressing him as he let loose a small smile. "Very good, Bronzor." His voice was stiff, but he meant it genuinely. The help was appreciated, at least by him.
<Ha...yes. Good.> The Kabuto said bitterly, feeling as if the glory of the battle was being robbed from him. He gave the Bronzor a perplexed look as he snorted, deciding to ignore her. She was helping his goals, at the very least. "Mud Shot, try to finish it off." If that didn't work, then the Bronzor could do it for Rust. It wouldn't be an issue. The Kabuto sprayed out cold, slippery mud at the Gurdurr with a hiss. The pain he had suffered was endurable, but he wasn't sure how much else he could endure.

GURDURR & BRONZOR appeared ! Gurdurr grinned weakly when his fist made contact with the Kabuto, landing a bad wound on the creature. Finally, some satisfaction from this battle! <'Cause you're stupid.> The hulking beast replied, laughing in a deep, ugly voice at his insult.
Bronzor, meanwhile, turned to face Seamus and smiled wanly at him. She didn't feel like she did much, but at least she was helping. She felt bad to attack the beast though, considering that he had been working on a house for her. The bitter voice of the Kabuto scared her a little, but she nodded at him too, not wanting to confront the fossil. She could feel some odd vibes from him.
Gurdurr stared at Kabuto with empty eyes, too stupid to try to dodge the ball of mud that splattered him in the face. A roar of agony left him as he staggered backward, overcome by the pain. But he was still standing after it, leaving it up to the Bronzor to finish him off. She took the chance, aiming a Gyro Ball at him. It was slow enough to finish him off, and he met the snow with a great thud that shook the ground a little. Looking up at the trainer, the Bronzor waited to see what he'd do. She was still sort of wary of him.

By there powers combined, Rust and the Bronzor had defeated the Gurdurr as if Captain Planet had entered and had an epic battle. Except there was no feeling of team work between the two, and Rust felt no need to protect the Bronzor or help her any further. Instead he cared for himself; it was how he was raised, and it was how he learned to live. You didn't get far without the help of your own team, which he knew, so you had to manipulative them in order to get on top. The Kabuto slowly crawled his way towards Seamus with a submissive look, though ultimately un-loving and distant as he waited to be tended to. "That's one way to handle it..." It was a shame about the Bronzor's home though, if only the Gurdurr hadn't been so violent in the first place. He sighed and took out a mix of healing items for the Kabuto, realizing how severe the injuries had been that time.
"One moment...you're fine, right Bronzor?" He glanced up at the steel type with curious eyes, but she looked fine. One Rock Throw wouldn't have hurt something like a steel type to much, he assumed. He opened a packet of energy powder and wrinkled his nose at the scent, making him want to sneeze as he crouched down and started to spray the potion inside of it, making it an odd liquid mix. It was a trick he knew. Anyways, the combination was used on Rust, and he visibly looked better. More hateful and spiteful since it stung, but he was better.
<Useless house now...> The Kabuto commented after a brief moment of silence, letting the Gurdurr be as he stared at the structure that the fighting type left behind. It looked weak and pitiful, something that would never manage to become any kind of shelter. <You should just take someone else's.> He advised the Bronzor, thinking that possibly she was strong enough to try that.

BRONZOR appeared ! Bronzor watched cautiously as the trainer sprayed a mixture of powder and potion on his pokemon. <I'm fine.> She replied calmly, blinking at the pair. At the Kabuto's mention, she glanced over at the incomplete house with a frown. <Yeah, especially since I paid him in berries.> She added, sniffing with disappointment.
<I don't want to steal.> She replied to the Kabuto, looking grim at the thought. If she wanted to, she could've stolen someone's house by now, but she chose to be nice about it. Shivering from the bitter cold entering into her system, she exhaled a gas from her orifices. <I don't have a place to live...> She said sadly, looking at Seamus now in hopes that he would try to capture her. She heard PCs were nice and warm, so even if he didn't include her in his party, she'd be happy.

The Kabuto thought it was odd that the Bronzor bothered to pay him in the first place when it came to such a terrible job, but he decided not to comment about it. She wasn't going to steal from someone else either, though she complained about not having a house. How useless; how could she call herself a Pokemon if she couldn't be independent and live without a human? It reeked of hints of wanting to be owned by a human, and he found it disgusting. Pokemon that tried to escape from the hardships of life like that disturbed him, as if they were trying to find a cheat sheet to life. <I'm surprised you haven't died with that kind of attitude. So weak its sickening to listen to.> Rust commented slyly while beside Seamus, taking in the healing items well as he felt somehow rejuvenated from his fight.
"I don't like your tone." Seamus commented sternly, refusing to look at the Kabuto as he settled the empty potion bottle and packet back into his bag, to be thrown away later of course. Rust flinched at the demanding voice and kept quiet for a bit, holding his tongue as he glared ominously at the Bronzor. He had no feelings for her, she was dead to him.
Maybe it was time to leave, but the Bronzor looked so sad. So displeased with the situation. How was he supposed to help? Apparently from what he could see, she somehow had the concept of organized labor with the Gurdurr as her man power. He was well aware that most Pokemon didn't like to be captured, but she had a lonely look about her that made him think that it wasn't just his imagination. "You can follow us if you want, we won't mind." He offered, though Rust certainly made the offer unappealing with the way he kept trying to put everyone down.

BRONZOR appeared ! The Bronzor heard the Kabuto's sickened remark and flinched at the coldness in his tone, realizing only then just how pathetic she must've sounded complaining about the lack of a house. But it wasn't her fault that it was hard to live in the mountains! She had been born here, and she never knew any other home. Nevertheless she took offense to the Kabuto's stinging words, looking down sadly at the snow. She was certain that the trainer shared the same sentiments, so she made to float away until she suddenly heard him offer her a free ride.
<Really, you would?> Hope showed on her face as she looked up at Seamus, grateful that he was showing her some hospitality unlike other trainers who would've probably attacked her for experience. Not expecting him to say no, she floated right up next to him, metallic heart warming up at the kind offer. She felt kind of pathetic for hinting at her lack of a home, but she had a freeloading instinct already. Why decline something that was offered to you?
Off somewhere to Seamus' right was a forested area where a tree rustled as if something had crashed into it. Off to the left, there were several caves imprinted into the side of the mountain. There were probably things living in there. How succulent.

Seamus grinned a bit when the Bronzor accepted his offer so easily, rather liking the attention of a kinder Pokemon like this. Rust was hard to handle, but he would listen if you acted like you were the boss. He was well aware of the power struggle he was in with this Pokemon, and in a mere 2 levels he would evolve and become bigger. More worrying. More of a problem. He didn't want to think about it right now, and instead wanted to try and grind respect into the Kabuto while it was still small. It had to work to some degree, at least he hoped so.
<Ugh.> Rust scoffed at how easily she accepted the offer, but he had to see her as an ally now. He glared at her, actually expecting her to be thankful for his help against the battle with the Gurdurr. He smashed that rock in an attempt to 'help' the worker, then he went nuts. Clearly he was in the right, and the Bronzor was disillusioned about the situation. She owed him, she did. She shouldn't be asking for any more help if she couldn't pay them back.
They wandered a bit further as planned, coming across a delicious area that led to many caves. Maybe it was a short cut, and it would've been warmer with no wind blowing around at their faces. However, the tree was more immediate and it made Seamus curious. He wandered closer to it to see what the commotion was about, while Rust lingered behind with increasing interest in the caves.

DONPHAN & TEDDIURSA (swarm) APPEARED ! The tree rustled once again as Seamus wandered closer to investigate. Upon approaching, one would notice that a large sized elephant was ramming into the tree over and over again, roaring a laugh as she did. Up in the tree, a young looking Teddiursa was cowering in a high branch, clearly not enjoying this sort of treatment.
<Help! Somebody!> The young bear cried out, clinging to the branch as the Donphan rolled into it once more. The huge pachyderm seemed to smile with glee at the bear's shouts, not relenting in this bullying.
