Full Name: Miranda Vermillion
Gender: Female
Age: 20 (19th May)
Profession: Archeologist/Scientist
Appearance:
Miranda possesses characteristic brown eyes that would shine and give comfort to people gazing at them. Although she is very young her eyes give an impression of an old and wise person. The young girl’s long black hair would go beyond her shoulders there they would curl at her back. Her round face and skin was pretty much flawless but her skin would look a little pale even though she goes out into sunlight very often.
She has a slender body which she cares about a lot and would willingly die if she was to get any fatter. Miranda trains twice every day, morning and evening by a park to keep her figure and would diet as well, vegetarian every weekend. She is considered small comparing to most women in her family but stands average to the common people. She usually wears yellow or red elegant clothes with a brown jacket but isn't limited to other things. Miranda also has a glove without fingers, the outlook gives her an elegant look but would also serve well in the field.
Background:
Miranda was born into a family of Pokemon League contestants, every member of her family competed in a Pokemon League at some point. Since the very beginning she was schooled on various types of Pokemon subjects so that one day she would too compete in the Pokemon League. She was only the 2nd child which meant more freedom and parents didn't force her to journey until much later. Though having potential nobody paid much attention to her choice of staying home and reading history and science books resulted in her late acceptance of her path as a trainer.
Since she wasn't getting much attention, the child ran wild at many scrap material sites everyday after school trying to construct gadgets failing many times. Gadgets were her favorite thing ever, making them gave her enough satisfaction that she even forgot about lack of attention. Years passed and her elder brother developed a tool that would help someone track Pokemon in a certain area which helped him catch the right Pokemon to win several badges, parents were proud and very bragging. Everywhere they went, they introduced the aspiring trainer and scientist making him the star of day, this made Miranda a little jealous.
Jealousy kicked her into trying exploring a nearby ruin to find some Pokemon for her first time, at the beginning she thought it was not hard because she accomplished so much with her gadgets while exploring the dumps for material but it was the wrong thought. Her gadgets gave her the wrong information every time making them useless. Her journey started at an age of 18 which is very late by standards although she caught up very quickly, soon she found out Pokemon training wasn't much different than constructing gadgets.
Soon after displaying some trainer abilities her parents became more interested in their daughter and gave her tips and sometimes even quests to do. Taking the spotlight, her brother didn't like at all, he spied on Miranda many times trying to thwart her learning attempts but somehow it always managed to backfire. Her brother didn't give up just yet so he would prepare a trap. Being a strong trainer her brother took a dangerous place and took Miranda with him. In the middle of a fight against Hitmolees, he would abandon her thinking that she would lose to them.
Yet again he was mistaken as luck shined on Miranda that day making her discover her real potential, she defeated all five Hitmonlee on her own with her Pichu earning big praise from her parents. She was no dummy, she figured out her brother left her intentionally during that mission and was very sad and so she decided it was time for her to go on a journey to a faraway land thought her goal is to find artifacts and help people and Pokemon with her gadgets.
Personality:
Having little attention from childhood made her into very sufficient and independent person who could do most things by herself. This trait also meant she was less likely to approaching people for advice or help resulting in a few friends. Yes she can be very friendly but only to a handful of true friends who would stick with her no matter what. To those that really know her she is very easygoing with her friends, her bravery is unrivaled as shown during several dangerous field trips they always went to.
Her ability with gadgets is amazing but when she focuses on them most people and Pokemon are blocked from even talking to her, she has little social experience in practice but also reads many books just to catch up. Miranda applies critical thinking into all things she is doing and analyzes situations very quickly. What she likes to do is finding artifacts and building gadgets to help her but not so much as to clean the mess up later, she is always blaming others for making a mess and usually tries to run away to avoid cleaning. Her favorite snack while exploring and making gadgets are flavor beans sweets but surprisingly she hates eating beans.
Rikesh:
He is an android built with Miranda's own innovative technology which runs with batteries that can be recharged by plugging it into an electric source or by an electric move. It looks like a panda with a straw hat and a bamboo stick. Rikesh can talk and think just like other people but he isn't programed to catch Pokemon. He mainly helps her with making gadgets and carrying anything that Miranda can't as she needs lots of material. It can also grow wings to fly around, very useful on expeditions. Rikesh is only 1 m tall and weights around 50 kg.
Pikachu:
Pikachu (male) is Miranda's loyal friend besides Rikesh and her first ever Pokemon. It evolved from Pichu a long time after they met in a scrap metal dump, it was trying to find some food in that whole mess. Luckily she had some snacks and so befriending it took only a short while. Soon both of them were running around trying to collect as many electronics as they could so that Miranda could build something. The first device she ever made was a tracking chip attached to a blue scarf which she gave Pichu. Its purpose was to let her know where Pichu went as it usually got lost in the junk but it didn't really work and gave her false information about the Pokemon's whereabouts. Only with great effort and time she perfected this device, it took her 2 years but it was also her first success.
After evolving into a Pikachu its personality didn't change much, it was almost always energetic and getting into a lot of trouble. and its curiosity didn't helped. They always ran into traps when exploring the local ruins, Pikachu found a secret door into the underground once giving both something to do every time they went inside it, most of the time when entering the cave beneath seemed different. Miranda had no idea what it meant and tried to search in some books but they didn't have the answers, in time she had to give up on searching in the books and concentrated more on exploring with Pikachu. Pikachu's attacks saved the day many times, they got lost at every turn but with her Pokemon beside, it didn't matter.
When they thought they stumbled on something good, something that would give her the answers to what this cave was about they hit a dead end. Strangely enough there always was a door leading straight outside, every time they went in again everything changed. At one time, they hit a dead end once again, disappointed she almost called it off when Pikachu accidentally shot a thundershock at a door when it sneezed which made it explode. After the smoke cleared out they were shocked that it wasn't a way out, instead it lead to a small chamber with a dusty thick book. When reading it, she managed to finally find the answer to a long question. It explained everything about mystery dungeons and how they work and also said there were many such dungeons around the world and each one has its own secrets. From that day forth, she wanted to go on a journey with Pikachu and find those dungeons.
