" Good one, Ares!" Jackson shouted, watching the Weedle squirm around. He expected the Weedle to give up now. It looked like Cyndaquil felt the same way. Neither of them were expecting the poison worm to get up and set off another attack that went all over the place. For instance, JD had to react quickly to avoid getting hit by one that was far off its mark. There were poisoned needles scattered all over, so he assumed his Pokemon had avoided the attack. His partner wasn't that lucky, though. Ares got hit by a Poison Sting, and this time was a lot worse than the last time. He whimpered again, but he wasn't done. No way. There was NO WAY that a little bug was going to beat him. Hearing the sound, Jackson quickly grabbed his Cyndaquil's Pokeball to return it, but Ares was already off. The red light missed his partner, who was charging at the Weedle, clearly angry and looking to win. The weedle looked on with desperation as she saw the frie type make its way to her with at quite a fast pace, especially with a very pissed off look on its face as he closed the gap between them. The tackle hit her hard, and it was so hard she was already unconcious as she was flying in the air. She hit the ground with a solid thump, where she just layed sprwaled out on the ground, not maving a single part of her body. The trainer now had a chance to capture the weedle, and to maybe train it into a beedrill if he wanted, but ultimately he didn't have to did he?

Jackson felt bad for the Weedle. Really, he did. The poor girl was just laying there without moving. He didn't want to check on it because it might wake up and start crawling on him, but he couldn't just leave it. And he did have to run back to Verona to get his Cyndaquil checked out. He could catch the Weedle and make sure it got better. Maybe he could even find someone out there that would be willing to trade him for something that wasn't a bug. JD quickly recalled Ares, who was now trembling to remain standing as the poison drained his energy, and felt around for an empty Pokeball. He found one and lobbed it at the Weedle, hoping it wouldn't put up too much of a fight. If it did, there was nothing he could do about it. He was only about a mile outside of the city, so as soon as the Weedle was either in the ball or crawling away, he was going to sprint back to the Pokemon center before coming back to Route one. Reluctantly trying to catch the Weedle

There wasn't a whole lot the fainted Weedle could do. She was passed out cold on the path. At least this way she wasn't going to become a snack for the next poke'mon to pass by here. The poke'ball dinged shut and stopped moving almost instantly, she didn't fight it because there wasn't anything left in her to fight with. And this is the shortest, derpiest post ever because I'm not planning on generating anything else since you have clearly stated in your last post you're planning on making a poke'mon center run. So yay. Weedle is caught. Nothing comes to bother you. RUN AND GET HEALED.

JD watched, disinterested, as the Pokeball stopped moving. A part of him was glad that he got to make sure the poor girl was okay, but mostly he had wished that it had been strong enough to get away.
So, he picked up the Pokeball that contained his brand new Weedle and turned in the direction that headed back to town. Jackson was ridiculously thankful that the mods will of the Pokemon gods decided that he was unbothered in his quick run back to town to get his Cyndaquil and the Weedle taken care of.
***
A couple of hours later, JD was back on his way. Ares was all healed up, and so was that bothersome Weedle. He couldn't find anyone that wanted one while he was in town, so he decided that he might as well keep it and train it up for the time being. Hopefully, it wouldn't take to long for the girl to become fully evolved. Surely there was someone out there who wanted a big, bad Beedrill on their team. Though why anyone would want a bug with them was beyond him.
So, JD walked down route one (this time with all of his Pokemon in their Pokeballs), past where he had met the Beartic and Cubchoo, hoping to be able to get the Weedle (whom, due to his lack of creativity was now named 'Bugsy') a bit stronger and more appealing.

This one was a little less creepy than the Weedle though. She wasn't any less annoying probably. Because, when she spotted the trainer walking down the path, she decided that she wanted to bother him. It pestered her that trainers walked up and down this way, wearing a path in the ground, catching poke'mon, and never seeming to care what they were doing! She narrowed her eyes and reached into the cold mud, slabbing a bunch on her fist she rubbed it under her eyes like war paint. And then she flew at JD- aiming to zip over his head. Her wings moved at such a rapid speed that they sent out supersonic waves at the trainer when she performed her fly by. She turned in the air and came back for a second pass on the trainer.

So, the mods Pokemon gods were apparently no longer smiling down upon him. JD let out a small, unmanly whimper (which he'd deny until the day he died) when he saw the Ledyba fly overhead. He raised his hand to shoot it away and- Oh, what an interesting-looking cloud, he thought as he looked up to aim. And where did that thought even come from? He probably couldn't even say where he was right now. For some reason, he felt very confused. JD closed his eyes and rubbed his temples, trying to understand what was going on and why he was so confused. He opened his eyes and saw the Ledyba come at him again. Once again, he let out a rather unmanly whimper at it. " Jus' go 'way," JD whined to it, but his words were slightly slurred. He didn't want to have to fight another bug Pokemon. One of his would win, and then he'd have to catch it to make sure it would be okay, which meant he'd have two bug Pokemon that he'd be trying to pawn off on someone. Clearly, this Ledyba was just as confused as JD was. Maybe it hit itself with its own Supersonic? Something was off with it because it was trying to attack a Pokemon that wasn't even out. His Cyndaquil was securely in his Pokeball (at least he was fairly certain Ares was in his Pokeball), and the Ledyba was coming in Jackson's direction. Well, if the Ledyba was going to attack, he was going to fight back! " Ares, GO!" he said, throwing what he thought was his Cyndaquil's Pokeball. Only the annoying, belly-dancing worm came out. " You're not Ares. You're... what did I name you again? Bugget? No. Buggy? Mmm... Bugsy! That's it! You're Bugsy, and you're going to attack now," he called out to his Weedle. And was his Weedle belly-dancing right now? Nah, JD must still be feeling the effects of that supersonic attack he'd gotten hit with. The minute she was out of the Pokeball, Bugsy was belly-dancing her way across the field. Of course she was more than a bit offended that her trainer didn't even remember what she was named. Well, she'd show him. She was an awesome Pokemon and incredibly useful. So, she decided that she was going to use poison sting on the Ledyba since her trainer wasn't being helpful enough to tell her what to do. What was this? The Cyndaquil let out another pokemon? A pokemon owned another pokemon? Strange, she had never seen anything like that in her life, but if the Cyndaquil was not going to fight her this may work out in her favor since a Weedle probably didn’t have fire attacks. Okay let’s do this you Cyndaquil, I accept your challenge against your Weedle! The brave accepted any challenge that came their way, so this Ladyba wouldn’t back out just now! Obviously this Ledyba was confused though, maybe she needed glasses or something? Maybe she was just very stupid. Either way there was a big whole in this plot. Ledyba was hit with the poison sting which resulted her to flinch a little, but otherwise it was no big deal. What was even better was that she was not poison from the weak poison type attack which was good no matter the situation. But now it was her turn. Let’s see how you can take this, you! The Ledyba let out a high pitched screech, the same one that she had used on the trainer moments before in an attempt to confuse her opponent and with any luck inflict some damage. Next up was another tackle attack, this time on the poison type. Whether she got poison by the poison point or not made no difference to her, the brave always tried their best even if they might get hurt in the process, the brave would do anything to beat their opponents so that meant this would be the same! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ F -- L (7) swarm & early bird tackle / supersonic personality: despises authority, brave to the point of recklessness ~~~~~~~~ ~ Hit by Poison Sting ~ ~ Used Supersonic // Used Tackle ~

JD started to get with the program just as his Weedle was getting hit with the tackle. Sure, he had no problem admitting to the fact that he was creeped out by the little worm, but he didn't want to see it get hurt or anything. It was still his, and it was his job to protect it and make sure it grew up big and strong. " Shake it off, Bugsy," he called to her. And now was time for a quick strategy. " Try string shot to slow it down and follow it up with a Poison Sting attack," he instructed. That should work. Hopefully. And he hoped that the Ledyba (who was only slightly less creepy than his Weedle) would just leave them alone. Or he'd try to catch it on the next round, just so that he didn't have to actually see the creepy bug Pokemon. Bugsy was a little slow getting up from the hit. She remembered a loud screechy noise and then the hit. She was a bit confused from the supersonic attack, but the force of the tackle seemed to have woken her up a bit. She was still a little unsure about what her trainer wanted, but still managed to shoot off a string shot attack in the general direction of the Ledyba, but she couldn't quite remember what was supposed to happen next. Oh, well. Surely her trainer would repeat it sooner or later. --Confused-- Female | Level 6 Ability: Shield Dust Attacks: Poison Sting||String Shot Personality: Practices belly dancing - Determined - Better around males than females Hit by Supersonic Hit by TackleUsing String Shot

LEDYBA APPEARED ! The Ledyba flew backwards after successfully tackling the worm, a slight smirk lingering on his face as the daredevil tried to anticipate the next attack. Suddenly, the String Shot erupted from the worm, and the reckless insect had the idea to try and grab the string to 'evade' it in a sense. Unfortunately this didn't work - it resulted in stickier paws and slowed speed, the typical effect. Annoyed that his swiftness was decreased by the attack, he glared at the worm before arrowing towards him for another Tackle.

Bugsy was still slightly too confused to move out of the way of the Ledyba's attack. However, getting hit by another tackle seemed to snap her out of her confusion. She was raring to go, and she did NOT appreciate getting tackled. So, without waiting for an order, she tried a string shot at the Ledyba, just to try to stop it from attacking her again. JD watched as Bugsy took things into her own control. He realized that his Weedle was sort of cool, but he didn't exactly want another bug Pokemon. It was bad enough that he had to find a trainer that wanted it and would care for it despite the fact it was a bug; a Ledyba would just make it so that he was freaked out by two of his own Pokemon. Still... he had originally set out to befriend all sorts of Pokemon, even if they were creepy, crawly bugs. And Bugsy wasn't all that bad for a bug. Not to mention the fact that the Ledyba was loads cuter than the Weedle (for a bug). So, maybe he could try to catch it. And, if the Ledyba didn't want to get caught, maybe she'd get the message to leave him alone. So. Yeah. That seemed like a plan. " Bugsy, try poison sting again," JD shouted out. He watched as his Weedle tried to attack and threw a Pokeball at the Ledyba afterwards. --No longer Confused-- Female | Level 6 Ability: Shield Dust Attacks: Poison Sting||String Shot Personality: Practices belly dancing - Determined - Better around males than females Hit by TackleUsing String shot, then Poison StingJackson is throwing a Pokeball after the attacks

There was clearly a lot of confusion going on earlier, especially on the Ledyba's part. She was a rather reckless Pokémon anyways, assuming that a human was Cyndaquil. Her own supersonic waves liked to mess with her sometimes, and they were still in effect as she continued to believe that JD was actually a Cyndaquil that owned a Weedle. Speaking of the Weedle, it was currently trying to use another String Shot on her to slow her down. Her wings were starting to get tangled in it, making her crash into the ground as she struggled to fight it off.
<Darn Weedle! Don't make me fly you places!> Bugs hated flying types, and she just happened to be related to some. Still having a not so epic battle with the String Shot, she was a perfect target for the Poison Sting. <H-Hey! Ow! Ow! This is why I don't like the WWW!> Wild Weak Weedles, a very dangerous and annoying group on the route that loved to tick off various Pokémon and trainers by swarming them.
Even worse? She ended up getting poisoned that time around, making her groan in annoyance as she felt a stinging pain from the status condition. She thought she could communicate her pain by 'blarghing' at the Weedle, so she gave it a shot. Supersonic style. <Blarghblarghblargh!> Not the most coherent attack, but it was bound to cause confusion if spammed enough. Shame the soaring Pokeball missed her, but if the trainer was brave enough to pick it up in the middle of their fight, it could be reused.

Clearly, JD didn't want the Ledyba if he had been that far off when he threw the Pokeball. He just wanted the bug to realize that it should probably leave if it didn't want to end up having a trainer. But, no. The stupid Ledyba was still there, and now it was seriously hurt. His Weedle had poisoned her. He couldn't just leave it alone. He had to make sure that she was going to be okay, and he couldn't do that unless he caught her. The young man didn't want to risk hurting the Ledyba more by trying to attack. Besides, the supersonic attack appeared to have confused Bugsy, judging by the fact she looked like she was about to attack him with a poison sting. This is why he hated bugs. Recalling his confused Weedle, JD felt bad. He knew that he had to at least try to catch her to get her to the Pokemon Center in the next city, but he also knew he wouldn't be a good trainer for it. Even if she was exponentially better than his Weedle, bug Pokemon still creeped him out. But, even if it didn't work out between them, he could find a good trainer for it. Or release it back into the wild once he was sure she would be okay. That sounded like a plan to him. JD grabbed an empty Pokeball from his pack and tossed it at the poisoned Ledyba. Maybe it was stronger than he thought and would be able to get away? Or maybe that was just wishful thinking.? Throwing Pokeball OOC: I totally forgot you couldn't attack and throw Pokeballs. My bad.

It sucked her in and fell hard to the ground where it partially sunk into some wet mud-snow mix. It was twitching back and forth fiercely as Ledyba tried to escape its confines. And moments later the red light reappeared as she broke out of the poke'ball. She buzzed angrily away from it and circled around above. Without skipping a beat she aimed another tackle attack for weedle... except she was gone? Fine. She flew towards the trainer instead, ready to ram her body into him. It seemed like a fair payback after he stuffed her into that cramped poke'ball. She expected nothing less from a trainer.

Jackson watched, torn, as the Ledyba struggled to get out of the Pokeball. On the one hand, he really did want to make sure it was going to be okay. On the other hand, it was a bug Pokemon, which was... blech.
JD was sort of relived when the Ledyba got out. That meant he wasn't going to have to find a good trainer for it. He sigh of relief died on his lips when he realized that the bug was coming at him. He dove the ground to avoid the tackle and covered his head with his arms, letting out a few soft whimpers. This was why he hated bugs.
"Okay, fine!" he shouted at it from where he was laying on the ground. "You're okay. I got it. You don't need to be taken care. So, will you please just LEAVE ME ALONE," he bellowed, ready to swat at it should it make another pass at him.

Heck, he was even lying on the floor! In her mind she imagined applause for her victory.
<As a noble victor, I will take pity on you!> She replied to him with a haughty grin before flapping away, probably off to brag about her latest escapade to her friends.

Now, Jackson may be very anti-bug, but he couldn't sit by and watch the poor thing get eaten right in front of him. He'd thought that by escaping the Pokeball, the Ledyba had been strong enough to go back to wherever it came from. That Tailow, though... He wasn't about to just sit back and watch the bird Pokemon eat the bug one. It was just wrong. Sure, he hated bugs, but he didn't think that anyone deserved that. Within seconds of the Tailow's appearance, JD was on his feet. " Ares, Fluffy! GO!" he said, throwing both of their Pokeballs. " Go get that Ledyba free. Ares use Tackle. And Fluffy: once the Ledyba's loose, keep that Tailow away from it!" Now he really didn't have a choice. If he didn't catch that poor Ledyba, it'd be eaten, if not by this Tailow then another one. While his Pokemon attacked, JD scrambled to find the Pokeball that had missed completely - and therefore apparently did not break like they normally do - ready to throw it when he had an opening. LEDYBA & TAILLOW APPEARED ! Ledyba remained unconscious even in the clutches of the famished Taillow, unable to discern that her life was in danger. Said Taillow was opening her beak, about to bite off the head of the insect before she was suddenly Tackled off the branch, squawking with surprise as she lost her footing and fell. Fortunately, she managed to catch herself in midair and flap her wings to stop the fall. <Hey! That's my prey! I caught it fair and square!> She cawed at the Cyndaquil who had so boldly attacked her. The bird was known to be vicious around these parts, and she had no qualms about wreaking vengeance on her oppressors. She focused her newfound anger before arrowing towards Cyndaquil for a Peck.
Meanwhile, the Ledyba had fallen off the branch in the scuffle and landed rather unceremoniously on the snowy ground around the base of the tree. When he woke up, he'd experience some bad pain in his head and back, but he hadn't suffered any permanent damage from the fall.
