It was hard to believe that they were both down to their final Pokemon in only 10 turns, but that's what ended up happening. Seamus could feel himself heat up with the tension of the match, almost feeling annoyed with how the aggravating spotlights shone on the battlefield. Heck, even the lights were purple. It made things feel that much warmer as he watched the Mismagius weave around the icy cold winds, flicking through the gorgeous lights as if she was made of smoke. Such a pretty Pokemon to own, he had to admit. Though the Driftblim was hardly as graceful, he found that it had its own charms during the battle. "Finally down to one each." He smiled, honestly glad that this was almost over. Thankfully Acetate had good enough defenses to make that Shadow Ball pretty weak, enduring it well despite the Mismagius's status boosts.
Not only that, but he was able to scarf down a few bites of his leftovers to take off the sting of the attack. For a wall like him, he was going to be sticking around for quite a while. It was a shame that Acetate was quite limited when it came to actual attacks, but the Blizzard was always a fun surprise for opponents that didn't expect it. Double battles like these were perfect for Acetate, considering the support he could give whatever ally decided to battle along with him. When it was switched to a single battle, he wasn't exactly Seamus's first choice.
"Keep up the Metal Sound. Back it up with an Ancientpower." Seamus pushed up his glasses as a nervous habit, knowing that the Ancientpower would do a nice bit of damage if they weakened Reap enough. <HIYAAAAH.> He screeched at the ghost, planning on startling her with his MANLY scream. To keep the pressure on the ghost, he made the earth rumble as he stomped down on it, making rocks rise up with a mystical force. Under the purple light, they almost looked like they were being lifted up with psychic powers. <It's only sedimentary, dear Watson.> He chuckled after using the attack, feeling witty for using such a terrible pun.

The fight wouldn't be easy and she very well could turn out to be the loser, but she still gave it her all in this battle nonetheless. Her attacks weren't having the nice click that she was used to against opponents, as the challenger was really taking a lot out of her in this battle. But she wasn't going to give up just yet.
"Alright Reap. Giving up is not an option! Win or lose! We have to give it our all!" She said and her Mismagius agreed. She suffered an incoming metal sound which reduced her special defense even more until the ancientpower came and struck her hard. The attack luckily wasn't super effective or anything against her, unlike how it would have been against the poor Drifblim but it still hurt nonetheless.
The -4 special defense did not help her case at all as she lost a lot of health and very quickly. But luckily for her, she still had a bit left to continue the battle, and hopefully pull off an upset. "Alright. It seems you brought mine to her limits. So lets make this count. Magical Leaf, lets do some serious damage!" Avarice said.
And Reap sent another rainbow colored collection of leaves at Acetate in hopes of pulling through against the Bastiodon once and for all.

It was funny how quickly Seamus turned the tides with his defensive wall, making him wonder if he would've had the same luck if he sent out Neon. Probably not, since Acetate was good at preventing confusion with his Taunt attack. Neon had the potential of knocking herself out if she didn't manage to take down Driftblim or Mismagius, which only made Seamus feel more confident in his choice. His Pokemon had been trained fairly well, gaining power and confidence in their abilities. <Ghosts...ugh.> Acetate shuddered in his spot, feeling so strange going up against a ghost that looked like it would take his soul. Why wouldn't she go down already?
Feeling the pressure of the weakened ghost, Acetate found himself growing more weary and nervous about the battle. What could she pull on him? What was going to happen? He wasn't sure, but he didn't want to risk it. Those rainbow leaves weren't the most frightening thing ever, but she made them look much worse than they really were. They slid around his shield like head and aimed at his backside, giving him a little more pain than he originally thought. Ugh, ghosts! They were tricksters, which always had him feeling nimble and alert due to the paranoia buzzing around in his mind.
It was time to try and finish the battle, and oblivious to his Bastiodon's internal fight, Seamus gave the command. "Finish her with Ancientpower." Blizzard seemed too inaccurate to finish the job, but an Ancientpower should work. Her defenses seemed pretty low, giving the scientist even more confidence as he stared at Reap in wonder. Would she go down? He couldn't be sure, but he could hope that Acetate had enough skill to execute the attack. With heavy footsteps, the Ancientpower was activated. Lifting heavy rocks into the air, Acetate lobbed them at the ghost much like before.

She quickly tried to float away from the attack, but… she wasn’t fast enough! She let out a cry as the attack hit her and floated on down to the ground near all the spikes and rocks. Small swirls in her eyes indicated that she had indeed… fainted… “ Darn it!” the female gym leader cried out as she stomped her foot. But a lost was a lost and that meant she had to give the trainer his rewards. “ I’ll admit that you’re quite the trainer,” she said as she held up her pokeball and returned Reap to her pokeball before walking over to Seamus and she pulled out a badge, tm and some PD to give to the trainer. “ Good luck on the rest of your journey, this TM will teach one of your pokemon Shadow Ball, make sure to use it well,” she winked lightly as she held out all the items for the trainer to grab. ::mismagius:: REAP (F) 41.5 levitate stonish - confuse ray - psybeam - pain split - payback - magical leaf - nasty plot - shadow ball creepy . silent . stalker HIT BY ANCIENT POWER FAINTED+1 to Acetate +.5 to kindle ROYAL BADGE 11,000 PD TM 30 - SHADOW BALL +4 LEVELS TO ALL POKEMON TAGS: modded <3 | NOTES: you’re welcome <3 [/style]
