Full Name:
April Myles
Gender:
Female
Age:
16 {April 30}
Appearance:
April is pretty much the perfect example of a bookworm. She has light brown hair that reaches about mid-back, and rich brown eyes to match. Her hair is normally straight, and she always has her bangs brushed to the side. Actually, they're hardly even bangs anymore, having grown past her chin. She constantly wears a pair of circular wire-rimmed specs, as she doesn't feel comfortable with contacts.
As far as height goes, she's about average for her age. Her skin tone is light. She doesn't really have any special traits in her appearance, excluding her pinkies which are bent inward at the top knuckle.
Background:
April, despite her shy personality, is the first of her family to become a pokemon trainer. Her family owned a popular chain of restraunts, and many chose to continue the family business. April had actually gone through training when she was young, making her quite and efficient cook, but when she reached 13, she realized that running a restraunt wasn't her dream.
Sometime in her 12th spring, she had found an abandoned pokemon egg. At first she waited to see if the parents would come. They never did. After a week of waiting, she finally took the egg to her house to incubate it. A month later, it hatched into an Abra. Soon she found herself busy with raising the Abra, and learning about pokemon. As her family had little to no experience with pokemon, April had to start from scratch.
A year later, shortly after her 13th birthday, she set off to become a trainer in the Hoenn region. She discovered she had a skill for communicating with pokemon. She loved her pokemon, and they loved her. However, this also meant that she grew to hate battling. Seeing pokemon fighting and injuring each other was something she couldn't stand. No matter how many times she tried, she couldn't even hope to reach the Elite Four.
Slowly, she made her way through each of the regions, trying time and time again to make it past the gyms. When she was traveling through the Unova region, tragedy struck.
Team Plasma stole her pokemon. She searched for months, but could never find them. Heartbroken, she finally gave up. After turning 16, April became determined to battle her way to the elite four, for the sake of her stolen Abra if nothing else. As she searched for a new region, she discovered Cheyenne.
Personality:
Two words could define April: Shy and Quiet. She is very secluded from other people and rarely speaks to them. Instead she spends her free time reading or caring for her pokemon. She is extremely smart, but not many know that since she never has a chance to express her skills.
Human interaction aside, April has a very deep and natural connection with pokemon. She cares deeply for nature and appreciates the world's beauty(Woah, getting a bit corny there). Although she can communicate with her pokemon with ease, she has little confidence in battle, worried she may cause them to get hurt, and tends to have her pokemon take the lead.
