I admit, my life was a little spoiled. Things came easy for me. But now. Now it's difficult. It's a struggle. Every day takes too much effort, too much time, too much life.

Rochelle "Ro" Lyra Finch || Twenty-two years old || Female || Trainer
Appearance.
Rochelle stands at a measly four feet eleven inches. She weighs ninety-seven pounds, which is average for her height. Ro's hair is naturally a mousey brown. It reaches just underneath her shoulder blades, and is naturally slightly curly. She has some barely noticeable blonde highlights, and gains some orange ones as well when she's in the Sun for a long time. Rochelle's build is small, with no muscle whatsoever, despite the fact that she's been training since she was 14.
Rochelle's eyes are slightly large and brown, and she wears glasses. Contacts aren't exactly her thing. Her glasses are the sleek, cheap, black frames. However, on the right side, the initials RLF are painted in a golden color near her ear. Ro did this by hand, so if one were to look closely, they could see how her hand was shaking while she was trying to write in cursive.
In regards to clothing, she tries to keep it simple. T-shirts and jeans most of the time. One thing she always wears is a Scizor pin on whatever coat she's wearing at the time, or shirt if need be. Ro's never seen without it. She tries to appear professional, but it doesn't always work out. Her bag is a messenger bag that's surprisingly easy to carry around. It's a beige/off-white, with her initials on it as well.
Personality.
+ Intelligent
+ Intelligent
Having explored many places and learning along the way, Ro has a pretty big mind. She's better at science and philosophy compared to math, though she's not particularly bad at any subject.
+ Has a Good Sense of Justice
When pressured, Rochelle isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in. Especially it it involves Pokémon. When Team Rocket was around, she hated them. She couldn't really do anything about the criminals at that time. Now, she's prepared to pummel them if they ever actually come back.
+ Honest
Ro doesn't really know how to tell lies. She simply hasn't had the practice. Even if she did know, she doesn't like lying. Ro isn't good at telling if someone's lying or not either.
+/- Stubborn
Rochelle isn't easily persuaded in general. She prefers to think for herself and doesn't like suggestions. She tends to ignore people who suggest such ridiculous things as changing anything she has done.
+/- Calculating
Rochelle thinks over everything she does before doing it. Even what she has for lunch. She never wants to make a mistake, though she does anyway.
- Plain
"Style" isn't in Rochelle's vocabulary. She doesn't try that hard to get dressed up,but when things like black tie come up, though they rarely do, she doesn't bother scrounging through her things. She just buys a new dress if she can afford it. Otherwise, Ro randoml grabs a dress from the top of her small pile.
- Solitary/Lonely
Traveling for eight years doesn't exactly boost someone's socializing skills. Ro is generally surprised when someone bothers to talk to her, and she prefers to be on her own. She works by herself and travels by herself. It would take a bit of persuading to get her to do otherwise.
- Stiff
Socializing just isn't her thing. Rochelle tends to be a little formal when speaking, though this doesn't always apply to her Pokémon. It takes plenty of effort to get her to open up.
Interaction with Pokémon.
To cancel out Rochelle's negative socializing skills, she is quite fond of Pokemon, and they're fond of her in return. In all honesty, they're her closest friends, as she spends more time with Pokémon than she does with humans. With this being the case, Rochelle treats her Pokémon very well, which explains why they're so good to her as well.
Goals.
~Get a strong team, almost as strong as before.
~Battle the gyms for once.
History.
Born to Maria Miriam Finch and Louis Liam Leary, Rochelle Finch was a healthy baby. Now, why did she have the last name of Finch? Her father left her. It's as simple as that. Her mother acted as both her mother and father. It wasn't easy, but it worked until Rochelle was about thirteen. At that point, her father came back.
Ro had never known why Louis had left, but now he came back, begging for forgiveness. Maria didn't know what to think. At all. She rejected him at first, but he wouldn't let her go like that. So eventually, they got back together.
Rochelle didn't like it one bit. She didn't remember her father, but she knew that Louis had caused her mother a great deal of pain and suffering, which Ro didn't approve of.
When Rochelle was fourteen years old, her parents got married again.
Rochelle chose to keep her last name, it was less complicated and she didn't really approve of the marriage.
When her parents were on their honeymoon in the Almia region, they were killed by a group called Team Dim Sun. Ro had stayed home with her grandmother, who was supposed to watch her. But her grandmother was a bit old, and it was pretty much the other way around.
When the news came to her, Rochelle lost her mind. Her grandmother wouldn't be as to be her "guardian" for much longer, and where would Ro go?
That's when she decided to go on a journey. She traveled around Kanto by herself, and had a team of three: Scyther, Seel, and Growlithe. She didn't bother with gyms or contests, she just battled and tried to keep the tears back.
Rochelle arrived home at Safron City at the age of fifteen. She was bored beyond belief, and because of it, she had more time to reflect on things. Which certainly wasn't good for her.
To clear her mind of it once again, she traveled to the Johto region, and did the same traveling practices there. Seel became Dewgong, Scyther became Scizor, and Growlithe became Arcanine, her main form of transportation.
Rochelle and her team continued through the various regions, seeing the world.
Eventually, she reached the Unova region. She believed that was the end, and she didn't want to go to the ranger regions, specifically the Almia region.
Ro had heard bits and pieces about Cheyenne.
With rumors being enough, she decided to head over for another trip. But this time, she was leaving her partners behind. She wanted to start over. She was old enough now to have her own house and settle down, but that wasn't what she wanted. She wanted a new life.
