Black IceLevel 4 Inner Focus - Keen Eye Scratch||Leer||Taunt --- This was where it started for a lot of trainers. Lenora stood on the road for a little while, enjoying the brisk wind fluttering through her hair. Standing at slightly over six feet, her overcoat also fluttered behind her. The air was fresh and crisp unlike that of Verona. It was about time that she managed to get out of her city and make her own name. Sneasel examined her claws, using one set to sharpen the over, pausing long enough to check it from both sides before turning to her trainer. "So, Lenny! What's on the agenda today? Want me to bust some heads? Look for a trainer, then bust their head? Or maybe you want ta be diplomatic and such and talk a Pokmon inta joining us? We got so many options out here, ya know!"Nora paused, folding her arms. She was somewhat masculine the way she held herself, and even her voice was lower. It was only when she was under stress that she would start really sounding female. Her hazelnut eyes looked over the scene, trying to scan it for moving grass. "Ice... I would like you at least being able to lower the defenses of your opponent before we hit the first gym. From the rumors, we need you faster than your opponents if we want to stand a chance because they tend to be speed attackers. Because of this, having their defenses dropped will secure your ability to dig your claws into the competition." "An just suppose what team mate is gonna be on my level, eh? I got standards like you do, ya know!""Someone with an alternative to claws... then beat every up and comer around here before we reach Île Électrique. I want nobody left unchallenged." " 'Nobody left unchallenged' she says! ... Whoooo! I knew I stuck around ya's for a reason! Let's find us something worth our time!""Indeed. And... keep your human speech under wraps. It makes for a good surprise." Black Ice turned around to Nora and winked with a clawed hand placed over her smirked lips. Kicking her heels up, she stood up straight and led the way in front of Nora who followed quietly behind her. Keeping the things from her starter kit ready in the event of an emergency, they made their first pass on the route before heading to the city for the first time. Nora knew deep down that she would need at least three or four passes in between the city and the route to be even close to ready for the gym leader.

White puffy clouds hung low in the sky that day, blanketing the region in shadows. The first hints of green were scattered along route 1. Spring was in full force, and despite the light snow that just wouldn't go away, bug pokemon were making their return to the newly refreshed trees and bushes.
One such creature wriggled in plain sight, stretched out across the dirt path. It had been a long winter for the little wurmple and he was determined to catch some sun! Unfortunately the clouds were relentless, blocking out most of the warming rays. He made a small strangled noise in anger and repositioned himself in the dead center of the path. <SUUUUN COME OUT!> he shook a tiny fist at the sky just as a drop of rain splashed on his head. <Ow!>

Nora stopped in the road, trying to let the bug pass, not very interested in the bug. Black Ice crossed her arms at the bug, wondering whether to squish the bug or to recruit it. Nora motioned B.I. to her and the Sneasel made her way to her trainer. Both spoke in low voice to avoid suspicion that the Sneasel could speak human.
"What appears to be his problem?"
"Doesn't like the storm brewing, I think. Keep's complainin' about the sun."
"Hmmm... with a dour disposition like this, he will likely become a Dustox."
Having that look in her eye meant only one thing... she had a plan. Looking up at the gloomy skies, it was, indeed, spring. Holding out her hand, it wouldn't be long before the rain would start pouring down. Looking over to the Wurmple, she saw that shine of potential in her eyes. That creature could poison others if given the chance, but particularly as a Dustox, his knack for accuracy could hit faster opponents. In the long run, however, he would no longer be as effective as others. Still, to evolve him to his highest potential and then releasing him after the gym battle, they would gain a good ally in these parts.
If he said no, they would simply stomp him.
"I am willing to offer him my overcoat to hide from the rain. If his anger still presides, you have my permission to hit him with a snowball. He will rise quickly with how big he looks. Right on the cusp of evolution. Perhaps he would be interested in gaining a set of wings."
"You and your diplomacy, Lenny..."
Walking over to the Wurmple, Ice had a feeling this wouldn't pan out the way she thought it would. Speaking in native Pokmon language, she shoved her thumb claw behind her and hailed the Wurmple in the road.
[Pokemon] <"Hey, pal! My trainer over there is willing to let you use her overcoat if you want outta da rain. She sees how big you are and wants to talk to you about joining our team!">

-------- WILD WURMPLE !
The Wurmple found his usual routine interrupted as a Sneasel walked up to him, looking rather suspicious with his stance. Fine hairs that were scattered across his body froze up in fear at the offer, feeling as if he was about to be taken away into a van at the offer of candy. <H-How about no?> The Wurmple hesitantly denied the Sneasel's offer, feeling little trust for either of them. He felt as if at any moment, he could've been kidnapped by these strangers. <I refuse...> The Wurmple suddenly took a defensive stance, nearly choking over his own words.
<I hate the cold. It attracts pesty ice Pokemon like you.> He grumbled out with a bitter stare, furious that he was being convinced to join these creeps. If they thought this was going to be easy, then they had another thing coming. <I won't let you take MEEEE!> He shrieked, ready to snap because of the danger in this situation. His mother wisely told him to never trust strangers, and even now he heeded her warning with a frightened stare.
If he was going to be scared, he'd much rather fight back to defend himself. It was a shame that he had little battling experience, otherwise he would've known how to handle things. <I-I'll show you!> He cried, rushing in at the Sneasel with a Tackle attack. Of all things, he ended up closing his eyes through the entire attack. He could hardly look the Sneasel in the eyes, feeling as if one look would send him into an unthinkable hell.

Nora stood there and folded her arms. Taking note of the bug's lack of technique, perhaps this creature didn't feel like leaving the forest if he attacked Ice while shaking in fear. Nora gave a nod to Ice as she put up her claws. In her arrogance, she thought just putting up her dukes would negate the attack, but she actually stepped back from the attack.
She was not amused at all.
Waving her arm to the side to get the pain off of it, Ice stood her ground. Eventually she crossed her arms and glared at the Wurmple.
[Pokemon] <"Seriously?">
Seeing the two stingers on the Pokemon's back, she was cautious enough to stay away from the hind side of the Wurmple's body. Taking a defensive stance sideways to make it harder for the Wurmple to hit from the front, Ice put her injured arm behind her and put her better claws forward.
[Pokemon] <"Shouldn't have made me defend myself, pal!">
Narrowing her eyes, they glowed into a Leer attack. Because of how close the bug was after the tackle, the Leer was combo'd in with a proper scratch attack aimed for the closed eyes of the Wurmple. She was a Sneasel... no matter who she fought for, fair play was for suckers. It was why she hated even trying to be diplomatic for Lenny. None the less, she had a feeling that the close quarters fight would be in her favor since the worm wasn't all that fast. It would be business as usual.

The wurmple had kept his eyes shut and as such was caught completely off guard when the sneasel attacked. The leer didn't affect him as he didn't see it, but the scratch sure did! He tumbled backwards, his face and neck stinging painfully from the sneasel's sharp claws. <Owwwwwwwwwww!> he howled, curling tightly into a ball wishing he knew Harden already. He looked up quickly and spit out a string of sticky mess at Ice and then rolled over, ready to defend himself if she attacked again. Maybe that string shot would slow her down enough so that he could attack.
This was so not his day. IT was cold, this trainer was cold and this pokemon was a bloody ice type! Come on!!

((115 Speed VS 20 ... *Snicker*))
Black Ice raised her clawed hand over her face as the shot of goo fired on her. Overconfident, she didn't even try to dodge the attack. While the stuff stuck to her arms, she flicked the excess off and put her hands on her hips.
[Pokemon] <"Pal... Do you really think you can beat me? Is that all you can do? Just curl up inna ball and fire some silly string at me? When was tha last time ya ever stood up for yerself, huh? Lenny said she saw somethin' in ya! You ain't gonna make my trainer a liar, are ya's? ... Cause if ya do...">
While Black Ice was Taunting her opponent, there was an evil gleam in her eyes, ready to Leer the creature once the inevitable anger rush would happen.
<"... I'm gonna feed what leftovers I have of ya to a Pidgey so I can steal her eggs for dinner... Nobody makes my Lenny a liar.">
Nora merely watched, letting Ice handle the situation. This was how she handled her Pokémon. She shouted out tactics instead of moves. Plainly talking about moves gave away tactics which she could use against her opponent. Black Ice knew how to handle herself. If this creature had to be beaten to get the point across, she would use her bullying nature to bring out the worm's bad side. With hope, and the combination of him having a rotten day, she would bring out the fighting spirit of the somewhat cowardly creature and teach a thing or two about himself.
If nothing else, it would teach him not to attack when someone is at least offering a peace branch.
--- Actions: Taunt, Leer when he uses his next attack.

All he had wanted to do was to find something for his dinner later on, but of course fate had to come in and kick him in the bug balls super hard. It made matters worse when that all of his hard work was comming towrds nothing as well, tears pricking at his eyes. "Your a big fat bully!" He screamed as he fired off another volley of string shots at Ice, taunted at the words fired at him.

Finally she started to dodge, snickering slightly to herself. Ice managed to dodge one shot and jumped over the second, but managed to get another blast on her leg.
<"You hit first, pal! I love bullying bullies! A simple no woulda saved ya a lot of problems! Say yer sorry!">
Nora started to notice that the worm was getting agitated and wasn't attacking, but firing blank String Shots. Her eyes started to reflect pity as she walked forward.
"Enough."
"WHA?"
Ice wasn't stupid enough to turn back to her trainer, and kept an eye on the Wurmple. She was, however, surprised enough to use human speech.
"He didn't attack you out of spite otherwise he'd be using his barbs against you... I believe he would prefer to remain here and not come with us. Even if we were to capture him, he would rebel against us. Give him the chance to walk away."
Ice kept her claws up as she walked backwards and away from the bug. Nora began to walk down the road past the bug, her cold demeanor not leaving her as she spoke.
"My apologies... please continue your day, Wurmple."
<"Attack me again and I'll put you down.">
(Action: Withdrawing, but will counter melee attack with a scratch)

Bowing his head in respect, the wurmple gave a small shiver as he heard what Ice said, before he started climbing the tree towards his right, glad to be able to get some warmth finally. Now that the wurmple had gone, if you were to carry on down the path, you would finally come to a junction of three paths. The path towards the left was shrowded by many trees, reulting in a dark shadow surronding it. The path in front was the same as the one you was walking along, whereas the one to your right was in fact clear of any trees, with pathces of grass everywhere. Now where would you go visit?

((Technically he shouldn't have been able to use String Shot after I taunted him... that's why I was provoking him to attack.))
Nora examined the three paths and rested a hand on her chin. Meanwhile Ice was rubbing the one arm that did get tackled, growling under her breath.
"Ya gotta quit this diplomacy crap, Lenny!"
"I will not. A Pokemon's attitude towards you is just as important as it's attacks. For it to be that afraid after being offered an act of kindness, it really had no desire to come with us."
"Psychology, psychology, psychology! Geeeez! What about my psychology? If you want it, take it! If it don't like it, scare it!"
Nora stopped for a moment, her emotion turning stern at her Pokémon as she looked Ice dead in the eye.
"Fright prevents action, and I need Pokémon to act. If they get angry at me, they act against me."
"Yeah, Yeah. So which way?"
As Nora contemplated the matter further, Black Ice flicked a few more shots of string from her body from the repeated attack. It was a little harder to get it off of her claws and from underneath the talons. Nora paused for a moment to kneel down besides Ice.
"Need some help?"
"Lenny, can you get dat piece under my feather?"
String shot was sticky as Nora took time to preen her Pokémon. She rolled the stuff into a little ball between her fingers to get the majority of the wad out of the sensitive area. After another minute or so, Black Ice was mostly free of the sticky stuff.
"Thanks, sis."
"You need to be a little less arrogant."
"Pffft! Like dat thing was gonna slow me down!"
"If he slowed you down enough to have the courage to use his poison stinger, you could have been in trouble. Now, let's decide where we are going."
Nora looked at the wooded areas. The third path was more likely to have a human opponent, but she didn't feel ready just yet. She only had one Pokémon.
"Let us take the middle. We need a solid partner for you. I'm sure we'll find something basic and reliable there."
So the two went down the middle path, hoping to find a good Pokémon which had a little more gusto and a potential desire to join a team.

-------- WILD METAPOD AND KAKUNA APPEARED !
<Your useless sister destroyed my nest. Not only that, but the slut had the nerve to spread around those STDS! I'm pissed off!>
<Back off my sister, she didn't do anything. You're just...you're just upset because you...can't get any!>
Two bugs were duking it out in the middle of the path, having the most epic battle of the century. They stared each other down as they continued to utilize their favorite Harden attack, planning on boosting their defenses to the highest level before going in for the strike. It was hard to say what even started this conflict in the first place, but it probably had something to do with the Metapod's sister. Both Pokémon became lost in their argument with one another, spewing out as many hateful comments as they could in a short period of time. <You're baloney!> The Metapod spat, calling lies on the Kakuna's terrible words. All he knew was that his sister was being dissed by this stranger, and he wasn't about to tolerate it!
<I'm a bug, you dumb piece of crap.> The Kakuna snarled, feeling a little satisfaction at the Metapod's stunned reaction. <I-I know...it's a phrase! Gosh! Stop treating me as if I'm stupid!> The Metapod retorted, not even bothering to back down from the Kakuna's constant slander. Things appeared to be picking up as they kept raising their voices to one another, not backing down from the challenge in the slightest.
Maybe they'd end up actually attacking each other at one point or another, but for now this was as far as it was going to get. It was up to the trainer to decide if these bug swarms were worth looking into, since they seemed to be too into their moment to really pay any attention to her.

Black Ice whistled to herself crossing her arms at the two. She inched closer to Nora and whispered her take on the situation.
"Sounds like that Kakuna is insulting that Metapod's sister and they're about ta duke it out. Wanna wait until they finish or try "diplomacy" again?"
"That Metapod at full evolution would be a very handy partner. Side with him, since he's at the shallower end to win with that poison sting attack from Kakuna. Try to talk first, though I doubt either one of them is in a talking mood."
"Nyeheheh..."
With that, Black Ice approached the two bugs with her hands behind her head in a relaxed pose. Tapping her foot, she addressed the two bugs with a smirk.
<"Hey, hey, hey... as a female, I don't appreciate hearing those kind of words. Sure she might have wronged ya, but come ON! If I knew you were calling me stuff like that, I woulda trashed your place too. You need to learn to chill out, bro.">
She walked over to the Metapod's side and crossed her arms, waiting for the rebuttal... or a Poison Sting. If he was talking about his ex like that, he was likely one to also hit a woman and ask questions later... which might spur the Metapod to hit back.

::kakuna:: Level 7 - Male Shed Skin Tackle||String Shot||Harden||Poison Sting Stubborn - Holds a grudge - Sexist (Defense +1; speed -1) It was quite a funny site to see actually, looking at two non-moving bugs arguing it out; the metapod protecting his dear, slutty sister compared to the kakuna who was attemtping to rip apart everything the metapod was saying. They were so involved into teh argument that in fact they thought that Black Ice was in fact the so called sister being talked about. "SIS! GET BACK IN THE HOUSE NOW! I SAID I WOULD DEAL WITH THIS IN PEACE!" The metapod shouted out as he continued to glare at the kakuna with pure hatred, before firing a string shot at the kakuna, covering him in the sticky web instantly. Now the kakuna has seen the sneasel in fact come oever, so he was going to milk it big time. "Of course tell your sister to go back to the house! Why don't you tell her to come back to mine? Oh wait, I know why! Because I don't have one!" The kakuna fumed, before firing his own string shot at the metapod as well. Oh dear, what a sticky situation.

Black Ice threw the Taunt out at the Kakuna, hoping to lock away his ability to raise his defenses. Nora just crossed her arms and observed.
<"An by the way... I'm not your sister! Just some passer by seeing someone be a total douche to his ex's brother. Not only that, but blocking the road for my trainer an me. You're the one starting this mess by bein' a hot-head, Kaky... Unless you want a few extra dents in your hide, back off.">

"How dare you impersonate my sister like that you monster! Thats an insult to me, and my sister as well!" He shouted, before charging at the sneasel with a tackle attack, incensed with rage to stop for any reasoning. The kakuna meanwhile just let of a small laugh at the sneasel's attempts to try and put him down. He had heard it all beofre, mostly from the metapod's sister really, so it didn't affect him in any way. "Really, is tat the best you've got? Honestly darling, go back into the kitchen and do something useful, like making me a sandwich." The kakuna snorted, before firing another string shot at the ice type.

((Eh, if Taunt connected, Kakuna shouldn't use String Shot... aaaand Ice couldn't have had any idea he doesn't like correction, sooo... if it's a two-on-one, I assume I get two actions against each?))
<Wha? Whoh pal! Sorry! Okay? My mistake!>
At least this bug wasn't a whiny bitch like the last one, and his head was harder as a Metapod. Managing to sidestep the attack with her speed, Ice tried to reason with Metapod by playing his little game.
<C... could ya blame me? I saw how that guy treated her and I wanted protection! I didn't mean no insult by it! I... I was scared! I wanted to get even with him for how he treats girls! I can't do this all by myself!>
With that the String Shot fired on her and her feet were once again stuck. Thinking about using the attack to her advantage, she clenched her fist and shook it.
<Look... You told her that you would finish this in peace, right? You do what you say you were gonna do. I have to protect myself against this dick because he likes attacking women. Can you imagine what he had to do to your sister to make her angry enough to destroy his house? Did you notice any wounds on her at all?>
With that, she charged forward. Even with sticky feet, she was much faster than either bug. Looking the bug dead in the eye, she attempted a Leer before busting both of her claws out to try and put a few dents in the bastard's shell. Silently she hoped the suggestion she made would make the Metapod's imagination run wild and also attack the Kakuna.
Nora palmed two of the Pokeballs in her pocket as she surveyed the scene. If she could play her cards right, she could bag both of these bugs and trade one while keeping the other.

Oops, Sorry xD I got mistaken with Taunt for something else, so I'll re-start the counter over again. But on the subject on being corrected, the metapod thought Ice was his sister. In a very strange way in his mind, even though he was at wrong he's still blaming you .__. But even though its 2 v 1, you can only still do the normal 1 non-damaging move + a damaging move. And even though your not allowed to dodge, and then use leer and scratch I'll let it slip Sorry for any confusion Level 7 - Male Shed Skin Tackle||String Shot||Harden Stubborn - Foolish - Hates being corrected (Defense +1; speed -1) Used...Nothing Level 7 - Male Shed Skin Tackle||String Shot||Harden||Poison Sting Stubborn - Holds a grudge - Sexist (speed -1) Hit by Leer and Scratch! Health is GreenUsed Tackle[1/3] The metapod was shocked that the sneasel had managed to dodge its attack so easily, almost as if it was expecting that too happen! But he was even more shocked when he heard that all it wanted to do in fact was help him out against the sexist bloody kakuna with the slurs against his sister. He honestly had no idea what to say, and was simply left dumbfounded with a gaping mouth, trying to speak with no success seeing as he couldn't find anything to say. The kakuna on the other hand simply snorted when he saw the sneasel give him a death stare, even though it did send some shivers down the back of his neck. "I see no sandwich woman. I'm hungry, and the game is starting soon. I don't want to miss that as well." The kakuna shouted out, before he was struck by the scratch. Well then, if she wanted to play tough, then he was going to play tough as well! Seeing as the ice type was close by, he laucnhed himself at her, hoping to tackle her to the ground for the moment.

(( Thought it was two actions per opponent. My bad! )) It would be a long and hard fight with this thing and it was up to getting the sympathy of the Metapod to win this battle over. When she was tackled to the ground, it made for an even bigger argument of the Kakuna's character towards the Metapod's sister as Ice got pinned down. <Will ya get a load of this bastard?! You think he won't come looking for your sister to do somethin' like this? NYAAAAA!>She was being held down by the legs, letting her open claws be able to get a good hit. Being able to stare the Kakuna in the eyes, she was bound and determined to drop this guy down a notch. Ironicly, she did her best to stay at the front of his body at this point blank position, making it harder for him to fire off his Poison Sting. Trying to get a leer in, she wrestled with the Kakuna, trying to bust her claws across his head. Though her attack was far greater, she was a being of speed and not strength. Nora then started to palm the potion in her pocket should things start to turn sour for Ice.
