to be used as a sort of caption contest/mystery picture type event, possibly in place of one of them for some months? idk, whatever. whenever it is used is not important :3 Although it would be cool if it started in the middle of the month, because nothing does then xD

So how does poke'mon bingo work?
Entrants have the first week to make a 5x5 bingo card with each space being a poke'mon (and the center a free space/ditto). It would be really easy to set up a 5x5 table and have it be a copy-able code, with blanks.
And then after the first week, once a day, whoever is running the contest randomly generates a poke'mon and you can mark that square off on your card. The first person to both get Bingo ( diagonal, row, or column ) and post in the thread saying Bingo gets first prize. Then everyone who participates gets a fun prize.

Now since there's 600+ pkmn now, each time it is run could be themed so that the contest doesn't run too long
So one time it's Gen. 1 poke'mon. Then a legendary round. Then maybe normal types, etc.

I wouldn't mind running it either if everyone ends up being busy. 0u0? I always get at least a little bit of time on the computer every day, so it wouldn't be hard for me to remember/do it... -//u//-

I think that maybe with 600+ Pokémon it'd be hard to actually win sometime. Maybe with each bingo contest make it within a certain Generation.

Like one Bingo Contest the Pokémon are all from Gen 1
Second would be from Gen 4

It narrows down the Pokémon so it's not a large pool of Pokémon. I just think the 600+ Pokémon would make it hard to win and it would go on for a while.

Edit: I just saw the theme thing. I swear I pay attention.

LOL This is so cute. I also got a kick out of the ditto being in the middle. These are the kinds of games that admins and gmods typically run, so I'm a little hesitant about having a mod run it if they were making up their own prizes. It wouldn't hurt having another monthly event to make up for the scavenger hunt/Syl quizzes. The once a day thing could be hard to keep up with, so maybe it wouldn't hurt to have a mod host the event. I don't know yet. I'm hesitant about adding onto anyone's work load. This could be good for the remainder of summer, before everyone's schedules change again when school starts.

Though yeah, we could probably work something out in staff to make it work. The suggestion is a good one, and it would fill in a few blanks. I haven't even considered replacing the old events.

Well, while the admins and gmods decide if they want it, why not start a version in the games section? Then you'll have a chance to see how long rounds actually take, that kind of thing! That way you'll for sure know how well it'll work / have a better idea of what types of themes work well and crap~
