The attack felt good for Toby. It was great to stretch his limbs and practice his battling skills. He blinked when the Seedot seemed to like it as well. It actually helped? There must have been something wrong with his brain. Oh well. The Lillipup was not going to deny him the requst. He back up a bit before running at him again.
Darko stared at the queer scene before him. He decided to just let it be for the moment. Toby had to know what was going on better than him. And the Seedot did not seem to mind the attack. Maybe he was helping him after all.

Now, the Seedot wasn't being all that sneaky with his Bide storing his energy, he was just doing what his instincts told him to do. As the next tackle hit him, and hit him pretty hard just like the last time, his vision cleared up once more. The Lugia of his Past life flashed in his eyes and he knew just what to do!
Suddenly the Seedot flashed a bright, blue light and all of the damage he had taken before was lashed back at the Lillipup! < Wow, so cool! Aren't I the best? > He laughed at his power, not realizing how potentially dangerous the attack could be. Toby's eyes widened when he saw the beginning of the attack. He was too stunned to move. Suddenly, he was hit with a strong force of energy. The attack sent him flying backwards. Darko reacted quickly and caught the Lillipup in his arms. He gazed down at his Pokemon in concern. He had not seen that coming either. "Are you ok?" he asked. By the Seedot's reaction, it did not seem the Pokemon knew what he had done. Darko stared at him warily. "Maybe you should leave."
Toby shook his head heard to clear the stars in his vision. He felt like he must have lost nearly have of his energy. What a powerful attack! Clearly, he had underestimated the little Seedot. That would not happen again. <I'm fine,> he said before leaping out of his trainers arms. He growled lowly as he approached the wild Pokemon again. <What game are you playing at?> Just in case the Seedot had something else planned, Toby fixed him with a menacing Leer.

[STYLE=border-bottom: 5px solid #FFC7FF;] [/style] SUDDENLY! The seedot was plunged into another memory telling him that he was the chosen one meant to lead all the pokemon on a grand journey that would transcend time. Within moments he was suddenly floating in the air and he was in a daze leaving him completely open for an attack. All requests and threats made by the trainer were suddenly moot and ignored now. No reason for him to partake in what couldn't bother him, but he had to keep in mind this was certainly a vision to be remembered. If he was knocked out of it, well, the wrath of the legendary within would outburst. Finally he saw a forest, and a strange elk jumping away as the leaves on it's horns swifted in one direction then another. Whatever this vision was, it was telling him something very profound. The seedot tried to take in the meaning, but if he was a Lugia in his past life, why was he cursed to this form? Such a disgusting little creature, and now he has admiring the grace of swashbuck as it ran away from his vision. Then he was brought back to reality only to disintegrate into a slight panic as his whole body shook with rage. Now he was using bide again to restore his lost dignity and return the damage done to him double time again. That was what bide did, stored the power, and then unleashed twice the power of energy that it had been hit with. So technically that last attack should have hurt immensely to the pokemon, but he made no mind to tell him. Playing at what? Sorry, I'm going to live my live freely and dance gracefully like a bird that I wish to be one day again! the seedot said to the other. Merely watching as the leer pierced through him, and it felt incredibly hostile too. ::seedot:: L5 (M) chlorophyll & early bird ( bide, harden ) gets 'visions' from his past life, in which he was apparently a Lugia. uses these visions to guide his life, without them he is frantic and lost. Toby growled at the Seedot. This answer was not satisfactory. How dare he speak like that? <You're crazy!> he barked. He jumped forward to bite the Pokemon. He knew he should be wary of being hit with Bide again, but he did not care. He just wanted to put this guy in his place. He would not give in. He would prove that he was better and stronger. If he went down, he would go down valiantly.
"Be careful," Darko warned. What was wrong with the Seedot? Why was it still there? Well, if it was going to attack his Pokemon, then he would let Toby attack back. He just hoped this would not somehow go terribly wrong.

Toby felt a sense of satisfaction when the Seedot went limp in his jaws. He quickly deposited him on the ground. He did not want to taste the creature any longer. He turned towards his trainer and gave him a warning glance. <Don't even think about catching him.> He did not want to have to deal with that loon on a daily basis. There were better Pokemon to catch anyway.
Darko stared at the fainted Seedot with a frown. He still did not fully understand what had just happened. It was clear that the two Pokemon did not get along. And the Seedot did seem a little... off. Maybe it was better not to catch him after all. Maybe some other trainer would be better at handling him than Darko. Darko did not know how well the Seedot would fit in with his team.
Having made a decision, he walked over to the Seedot, bent down, and gently picked him up. Then he brought him over to the grass and laid him near a tree. He would be better protected and out of the way of others using the path. As he walked back, his eyes went to his cocky pup. "I think you need to cool down a little," he said. He took out the Lillipup's Pokeball and returned him. Now that he knew his personality better, he would be able to figure out the best way to train him. He found himself itching to get to the city as he continued down the path.

::caterpie:: F (L6) Shield Dust ( tackle & string shot ) tour guide, obsessed with the city but isn't strong enough to live there "Are you going to the city?" A voice from up in the tree called down to Darko. A smallish Caterpie crawled out on a branch, out to the very thinnest part. When she got there the branch curled down and she was basically on eye level with Darko. She was smiling brightly. "Can I come?" She begged the trainer. Everyday she saw trainers come by here, and no one ever said that they would take her into the city.

Darko stopped in surprise when the Caterpie popped out at him. He was not used to Pokemon suddenly coming out in his face. He thought must were scared of humans. What did this one want? Perhaps not many trainers interacted with it because it looked weak. He could have just walked away, but he decided to take out one of his own Pokemon to see if they could figure out what the Caterpie was saying. He pulled out his Nidoran's Pokeball and released her. "Hi Lily," he said with a smile. "Can you ask this guy what's going on?" He motioned towards the Caterpie.
Lily the Nidoran yawned. She blinked and looked at the Caterpie. He was a cute little guy! <Hello!> she greeted him cheerfully. <What's up?>

F (L6) Shield Dust ( tackle & string shot ) tour guide, obsessed with the city but isn't strong enough to live there "Oh." Caterpie mumbled when she realized that Darko was unable to understand what she was saying. Disappointed that she would miss another chance to get into the city she started to backwards wiggle up the branch. But delight spread over her face when the Nidoran appeared and she had someone to converse with. Quickly she spun some string around the branch and lowered herself to the ground, standing beside the small poison type poke'mon. "Oh, I want to go to the city! I've studied it for so long and I know all about it!" She explained to Lily, sighing heavily. "But I've never actually been there..." She admitted.

The Nidoran listened to the Caterpie attentively. She wanted to go into the city? That was all? Why had she not simply gone into the city by herself? Quickly looking over the little Pokemon, she could see the answer. The Caterpie was small. The city was probably a dangerous place for her. <That's where we're going,> Lily said. She smiled. <You could come with us.> Her smile faded when she realized a problem. <But I don't think we'll be coming back. I don't know how you would get home.>

I'd just weigh you down and make a mess... Unless... Do you think you could train me? >
Suddenly the bug's eyes lit up brightly, as she crawled over to the trainer's pant leg and started to tug on it. < Oh please oh please! You must know how to make me stronger! Darko smiled down at the Caterpie. "Hi," he said. "What is it?" She seemed excited about something. Did she want to go with them? She did not seem very strong. Maybe that was what she wanted help with. He glanced at his Nidoran for confirmation.
Lily titled her head to the side. Train? That sounded like something they could do. She had not done much herself. She had never seen the need. She had been too busy gushing over her latest love. <Do you want to battle?> she asked. <I'm not the strongest either. It could do us both some good.> She took a fighting stance and put a determined look on her face so that her trainer would get the message.

Finally a chance for her to show what she was made of and none of the city pokemon would be able to make fun of her for it anymore. Well, that was a plus side, but on the down side there were the usual casualties that came with such boasting. For one, if she lost, and wasn't able to gain any levels from it. Since she was just a wild pokemon, however, she was confident she could do this as the caterpie wiggled her butt a little. Then shot up into the air with the happiest face a bug could have as she went, YEAH! Darko looked from Lily to Caterpie. It seemed that they wanted to battle. From the Caterpie's excitement, that was what she wanted. Darko was happy to oblige. It would be good experience for his Nidoran. He nodded once. "You want to battle? Ok. Lily, use Tackle."
Lily smiled at the Caterpie. She liked how enthusiastic she was. This was going to be fun! <Alright!> she said happily. She listened to her trainer's command before running at the Caterpie for a Tackle.

Lily blinked in surprise when the Caterpie decided to attack t the same time as her. The Nidoran watched the Cateripie fly back. Her whiskers twitched in amusement when she wanted to try again. She glanced at Darko. <I've got this.> She only knew one offensive attack anyway. She did not need to be told what to do. She decided not to get out of the way of the Caterpie's attack even though she had plenty of time. She wanted to give the little Pokemon some experience at fighting. It looked like her spirit was really into it. Lily was hurt minorly by the attack. When it was over, she stepped back before running in for another tackle.

Lily was hit by the oncoming String Shot attack. She did not like the sticky, gooey substance. she tried to shake it off, but to no avail. She would have to battle with it. She located the Caterpie before running at her again for another Tackle, this time slower because of the String Shot.
"Keep it up," Darko said encouragingly. It was interesting watching the Caterpie. She had the will to fight and it seemed like she had a good strategy going on. Maybe she would make a good Pokemon.
