Name: Kikou Hitogokoro Gender: female Date of birth: May 17, fifteen years old
Appearance:
Kikou is a small, slender girl who looks quite graceful and small, with small facial features, like her nose and mouth. Her eyes, however, are bright blue sapphires that brighten and dim depending on her mood. Her eyes show all of her emotions, and it may be the most dominant feature, that, and her height. For a fifteen-year-old, she is quite short, and stands at only five feet three inches. Her blonde hair is cut short to her a bit past her ears, but not yet actually reaching her neck. Her bangs are put to the side, usually clipped or put into a hat. She loves big sun hats and frilly dresses. When it's summer, she likes to spend time outside frolicking among the fields around her home during warm weather. Even during rainy days she likes to be outside, but instead in a raincoat with her umbrella. If it's lightly sprinkling, she wouldn't mind getting sprayed, but when it pours, she'd wear her raincoat and have her umbrella. Her favorite types of clothes to wear are light in color, and don't weigh her down. Her light skin matches well with lighter colors, though sometimes she mixes light and dark outfits. Her usual outfit usually is short shorts, with a top of light and dark.
History: Kikou's mother and father were both rangers of Johto at a time in their lives, and that was when the two met. After getting married, the two retired from their lives as rangers, but never forgot their love of Pokémon. They lived a happy life in the Goldenrod City of Johto, but then Kikou's mother became ill, since she had always been slightly sickly. The couple then decided to move to an area more in tune with nature, hoping that the fresh air would help Kikou's mother.
The new place they lived in was close to nature. Forests surrounded them, mountains rose, and lakes were clear and almost mirror like. The house was quite small itself, and was almost a cottage sitting on hillside. The whole place looked like it came right out of a fairy tale. It was always full of Pokemon, and many would pass through the area, aware that Kikou's parents would never hurt them. Kikou's mother would do as much as she could around the house, while Kikou's father would farm on a plot of land nearby the house. When Kikou was born, she was surrounded by nature and Pokémon. Kikou learned to always respect life, and to love and care for all Pokémon and nature. She was an only child, and her parents always worried that she was lonely. Being out in nature had its down-sides, since there weren't many neighbors, and you had to go a far distance in order to go to the cities for school or shopping.
Kikou never made many friends, since usually she couldn't go to parties or to people's houses, being busy at home with helping her father take care of her mother and with the garden. Here mother was usually sick in bed, and came out near the afternoon, when she felt better. She couldn't do much around the house except for cooking every so once in a while. However, both Kikou and her father could see that she was slowly getting better, so she was happy to see it. Kikou never minded helping around the house with her father, and learned to cook and clean for her family. She became quite kind to anyone, and even when she was lonely, she had Pokémon as her friends.
Kikou's favorite moments living amongst nature was the summer. The mountains she lived in were usually quiet, and during winter, it became cold, but in summer, the place bustled with people and life. There was always a festival held in her are by the city nearby. It was a big festival that everyone looked forward to, and that was usually the time when Kikou could meet people that were her age. It happened every year, and whenever it happened, she was extremely excited to go. The mountain people would set up some booths of their own, selling things to people or providing games with prizes. Kikou's own family made a business making their own jam made of Pecha berries, and it was one of the best jams. Kikou learned to make it from a secret recipe passed down from her mother to her.
Later on in life, Kikou's family then moved to Cheyenne, in order to have a chance to do something new in life. When Kikou was of age, her parents supported her to go on a journey herself, since they remembered their adventures as rangers.
Interactions with Pokemon: Kikou has been around Pokémon all her life, since she lived in the mountains of Johto, where nature is all around, Pokémon tend to come to her house a lot. Or she sees them when she goes out hiking in the forest. Some are found hurt in her garden, and she takes them in and cares for them until they're better, then letting them go. To her it's always the saddest to see a Pokémon she spent a lot of time with go, but she understands their want to be free, and she doesn't impede on it. Her favorite types of Pokémon are grass-types, though she doesn't ignore any Pokémon that comes her way.
Personality:
- shy
Kikou is a quiet girl who at first doesn't like to talk to new people she meets. She talks quietly and looks down at the ground occasionally when meeting someone new. This makes her kind of blend into the crowd, and she goes by unnoticed, but when she gets used to someone, she'll show her true self.
- kind
Kikou is extremely caring of everyone she meets, and even though she's shy, she wants to do her best to help someone in need. She doesn't stop herself from helping others, and even goes to do things that are secret acts, without taking credit for herself.
- optimistic
Kikou will always think there is a light at the end of a tunnel. She doesn't lose hope when she's backed up against the corner, and always believes. In fact, she thinks that to believe will make it come true.
Kikou is a sweet girl who always tries to help others in need, and totally dotes on any Pokémon. She likes to try and find the good in everyone, since she believes everyone has a good side to them. Her kindness may make her easy to walk over, but she is tough enough to know where the line is between her actually doing something of her free will, or someone just using her. She's kind of clueless at times, and is slow to understand secondary meanings that are in statements. She likes to learn new things, so she has a strange habit of staring long at something she wants to learn, making some people think she's strange. She's usually very polite and willing to help anyone, even being motherly in a way.
Pre-starter information: The first Pokémon that Kikou ever met was a Hoppip. They both met when Kikou was only seven, and it was found injured in her garden, where many other Pokémon have been found in the past. Kikou took the Hoppip inside the house, and took care of it until it got better. The two did not truly get along at first, the Hoppip being quite timid and burying itself under the blankets given to it when Kikou or anyone else came near. Kikou was patient to the little creature, and just sat next to the make-shift bed that Hoppip was in. As each day passed by, the Hoppip did not seem to want to be in contact with anyone and each night, Kikou would talk softly to it, to get the Hoppip to get used to her voice and her presence. Days went by, and Kikou worried, because it didn't seem to want to eat the food given, which held the medicine to make it feel better. One night, when Kikou had fallen asleep next to the Hoppip's bed, it came out and began to eat the food. It accidentally brushed against Kikou's arm, and she opened her eyes to see the little Hoppip eating. She was extremely happy, but instead of jumping up with joy, she just gently petted the Hoppip then went back to sleep.
The next morning, Kikou found the Hoppip had eaten all of the food, and was now curled up on top of her head. Kikou began to giggle, and it woke up the Hoppip. With a perky little jump, it nuzzled Kikou's face and became less shy than before. The two became fast friends, and the Hoppip followed the girl around, though had trouble controlling its flight when a strong breeze came. Weeks went by, and the Hoppip was getting better at a fast rate; soon it would be healthy enough to be set free. Kikou almost feared the day, because then it would be time to let Hoppip go. She had even given the Hoppip a nickname, "Pippy" and felt a closer bond to it than any other Pokémon she had helped before in the past.
The time the two had together ended so quickly to Kikou that she almost whined out loud that it was too short, but she knew that it was time to let Hoppip go. When Kikou brought Hoppip out into the garden, she put it onto the ground and told it to take flight. The Hoppip didn't want to leave, and just flew back up to rest on her head over and over, no matter how many times Kikou took Pippy off and told it to go. The little Hoppip would not leave, and stubbornly sat on her head. Kikou then asked if Hoppip wanted to stay, and it gave a small jump of happiness, nodding yes. The two have been inseparable since then, and do many things together. The Hoppip can be seen following Kikou around all the time, and they look out for each other, being forever loyal to one another.
Goals in Cheyenne: - Kikou wants to become the best trainer she can be
- it's a secret, but she dreams of falling in love
- she wants to meet as many new Pokémon as possible

Your character is super cute! I'm a little worried that her "shy" quality isn't seen as a bad thing, and that she might be too perfect of a character. I feel like she needs something extra to balance her out, but I think you'll be able to add to her app later after rping her a little.
Since this is your first time here, take a look at the Pokemon Pound to adopt a Pokémon! You can also get some Rare Candies in the July Promo, and it's definitely worth it. Please take it while you can!
If you go to Route 1:
::hoppip:: Level 4 Chlorophyll - Leaf Guard Splash||Synthesis
+ Starter Pack
If you go to the Ranger Station:
::hoppip:: Level 1 Chlorophyll - Leaf Guard Splash||Synthesis
+ 1 Random Pokemon, which is kind of like hard mode since Hoppip can't attack but the other Pokemon can.
