Name: Nanna Layne Ragnar
Nickname: Nanny
Gender: Girl
Birthday [Age]: January 13th [17]
Appearance: Winter ll Normal ll Formal
Nanna is a rather tall and thin young woman hailing from the north of the Cheyenne Region Her skin is very fair with a rosier skin tone where veins are closest to the skin. Her face is round with a wide pointed nose and large pale blue eyes. Her hair is a white blonde color, thin, and straight going down to her shoulders on the left side and mid neck on the right side. Standing at 5’9” she’s all legs, but despite this she is still well proportioned. Despite her otherwise healthy physique she is physically weak and has low strength and stamina from being sick as a child. She always tries to get others to carry things for her or do things that are otherwise too strenuous. She does enjoy riding her bike and sledding when there’s snow on the ground if she feels up to it. She burns easily in the sun so she tends to stay indoors during midday.
Her clothes are normally diluted colors ranging in the blues to red oranges. She always has a leather collar around her neck and brown beads in her hair. Normal attire for her is a long blue and white tank top tunic with a loose red orange sweater overtop, and dark blue leggings with wicker sandals. She sometimes wears a knitted overskirt over her tunic and under the sweater to add another layer. Her winter outfit consist of an orange shirt under a dark blue parka, jeans, and tan snow boots.
History: Nanna was born one snowy afternoon to a middle class family in a small town in the northern area of Cheyenne. Her parents were simple folk with everyday jobs that put food on the table for Nanna and her older brother by five years. Pokémon where in their daily lives with each member of the house (besides Nanna) having at least one Pokémon partner. Being the baby of the family she was coddled and spoiled by everyone and was never told no making her a very mischievous and stubborn child. She would go sledding and ride her bike with her friends every day and rarely spent any time indoors. She loved playing with her family’s Pokémon and couldn’t wait to go on her own Pokémon journey. Her world changed though, near her tenth birthday one summer day. She and one of her friends were out hiking when they suddenly came across the path of a rather agitated Arbok. Her friend used her Pokémon to try and scare off the snake pokemon, but not before it shot out a poison sting attack with a few of the poisonous barbs striking Nanna. The two girls struggled to get back to the town, but unfortunately Nanna blacked out before they reached the town gates.
She doesn’t remember much of the rest of the day, but when she woke up she found her family and a doctor looming over her. Her family brought her to the local hospital and she found out that she had been seriously poisoned from the attack. Nanna was given doses of a special antidote and she spent two weeks in the hospital, all the while being in solitary confinement in her room. She did though, enjoy the company of the nurses that stopped by to chat, read her books, and overall make her stay at the hospital more comfortable. Once she showed improvement she was able to use a wheelchair to roam through the hospital halls and converse with other patients. After two weeks the doctors deemed her well enough to return home and her mother picked her up that evening. While she was no longer sick the stay at the hospital took a lot out of the young girl and she was no longer the spunky ball of energy she used to be. Although she did enjoy outdoor activities she didn’t have the same pep she used to have and could not stay outside for long before feeling week and having to return to the house. Work she was once able to do easily now made her short of breath and dizzy, and so she found it easier to ask others to help her rather than doing it herself. But she wasn’t content on staying home and laying around all day.
Due to her stay at the hospital and over protective family her dream of going on her own journey as a trainer was delayed, and now that she was seventeen Nanna was itching to leave. Her parents didn’t like the idea of her leaving, but knew that they couldn’t keep her locked away. Being in a fairy remote village there was no Pokémon lab with which to obtain a pokemon, so instead her older brother gave her a Rhyhorn he recently caught. She named the Rhyhorn Gorebash and began to train with her new pokemon, learning how it fought and what moves it could use. Her family gave her many supplies they bought from the local pokemart and a good amount of cash so she could buy whatever she needed on her journey before sending her off into the unknown world.
Interactions with Pokemon: Nanna absolutely HATES poison types, because of them she was sick, had to delay her journey, and is now permanently weak. The one poison type she can’t stand is Arbok, which was the species of Pokémon that poisoned her. She will not get near any poison type, no matter if they're pure or dual typed. This is why she absolutely LOVEs rock and ground types. They have a resistance to it and grounds have an advantage over it. Plus they make her feel more physically powerful. That doesn’t mean her team would be all ground or rock, she likes variety and will throw in some other types just to keep a type advantages over whoever she battles. She loves offensive moves as well as some defensive. She would never poison another trainer’s Pokémon (seeing as she’d never have a poison type on her team or use poison moves) and when other trainers poison her Pokémon she gets extremely angry and throws a fit. She always carries plenty of antidote though! Nanna has just started out on her journey, but she has trained with her Rhyhorn Gorebash before leaving on her journey. The two are already a true team and are ready to smash the competition into oblivion!
Personality:
Pre-starter information:
Gorebash ll Rhyhorn ll Male
Gorebash is Nanna's rock, quite literally. Given to her by her brother she already had a strong bond with the Pokémon even before overtaking ownership. It did not however, have the somewhat menacing name when it was given to her, that was Nanna's idea. She found it a suitable and intimidating name for her "protector". He is the current (and only) powerhouse of her team and she nearly always keeps him out of his pokeball incase she comes across any poison types.
While Nanna is whimsical and silly Gorebash is more down to earth and serious, and seriously protective of his trainer to the point he'll run down anything that threatens her. While he is level headed he is quick to fight and will sometimes attack unprovoked because he feels like it. He lets the lightweight girl hitch a ride on his back whenever she gets tired of walking and smashes anything in their way. While he was previously owned by Nanna's brother he was never used in any battles until now, so he is still at a weak level.
Goals in Cheyenne: To beat the gym leaders and elite four and blablabla....oh and exact personal revenge on the Arbok that poisoned her as a child by beating the snot out of it and defeat every.single.poison type trainer.ever (kind of a long shot but you have to have dreams)

Personality:
- Lazy
Being given everything on a silver platter since her childhood, and her parents enabling it ever since her incident has left her a very, very lazy young lady. She likes to sleep and eat, and not physically exert herself, she can find others to do that for her. She does things on her own time and nobody else's which gets on a lot of peoples nerves. - Charmer
Nanna has become quite the charmer with a silver tongue, after all someone has to do the heavy lifting, and it isn’t going to be her. Despite her friendly and childish demeanor she is an ice queen when it comes to romance. Her ways of getting daily man candy to act as her muscle coupled with her high standards makes it hard for her to find a partner let alone hold one down. - Impulsive
Nanna goes day by day on pure impulse, the only thing she does plan ahead on is when she tries to find easily persuaded individuals to help her, and during important battles. She goes with the flow and rarely looks back on her decisions. - Slightly Dense
She's not dumb, but it does take her a while to get the punchlines of jokes. She could stand silent for hours on end before loudly exclaiming she gets it and begins to laugh awkwardly. She also has a hard time figuring out if someone is lying or not since she's normally very trusting (and again doesn't think things through much). - Silly
Nanna is known to do random things at random times for no apparent reason. She's whimsical and fabulous and strange things always seem to occur. Is it the curse of the old witch hag? Only Nanna knows (maybe) - Loyal
If you somehow manage to become her friend and survive through all the strange occurrences that happen around this strange, strange girl, then you are very lucky! (maybe?) She will forever be loyal to you and is always one to keep promises and protect those she cares about, and who care about her. She might be a bit bull-headed and lazy, but she really means well and has a caring heart under all that lovable sunburnt skin.
