Liz yawned to herself as she slowed to a walk, drifting slowly along the path. It kept winding through the trees. On and on... As she reached a small clearing, she thought she saw a white speck in the distance. It flew closer and closer, a odd thing that looked like a flower with colorful leaf-like wings. Was it a pokemon? Oooh, pretty. O.o Liz watched the strange pokemon drift towards her, then begin buzzing in circles around her head. At first, Liz began turning in circles to watch it. Soon she began getting dizzy and forced herself to stop. "Woah," she muttered as everything continued to spin slowly around her. She clapped her hands on her cheeks, trying to snap out of it. The weird flower-like thing continued to revolve around her. What was it? Oh, right. She had a pokedex. Liz fished around in her pockets, tongue sticking out a bit. "Here we are! Now let's see what kind of pokemon you are!" She held up the pokedex to scan it. Masquerain, the eyeball pokemon. Its antennae have eye patterns on them. Its four wings enable it to hover and fly in any direction. So she had been wrong. The "wings" were its antennae, what she had thought were petals were the wings. "Ummm, do you want something?" She asked the Masquerain. Maybe it was bored?

But how to do that at all? If making the trainer didn't work, then she would have to try another means of getting into the bag. "I want to play a game with you! Lets play tag, and your it!" She giggled devillishly as she sprayed a water sport at the trainer fro her tiny mouth, before buzzing off into a tree above the trainers head, rustling in the bush. She was hoping that the trainer would have to put her bag down to find her, and that was when she would strike! Now all she had to do was wait for that moment to arise.

"Tag? Sure why n-Ptaha!!" A stream of water hit her in the face. "Ugh, you know you could've waited for me to close my eyes." she growled as she wiped the water off her face. Ugh, her favorite jacket was wet now. She yanked it off. Gosh, it was cold out! The water didn't help. Sighing, she walked over to a tree, set her bag down at its base and hung up her jacket. Unknowingly, she was doing exactly what the Masquerading wanted. Hugging her arms around herself, she glanced down at her pokeballs. Kitsune and Hishou could help dry off her jacket... Then again, the Vulpix could also burn it. "All right. Ready or not, here I come…?" She found a tree that looked easy to climb, and quickly scrambled into its branched. Good thing it was still winter, no leaves to get in the way. She climbed up to the topmost branches, which was easy since the tree was thick but short. She perched on a thick branch, surveying the area around her. Though it wasn't a tall tree, she at least got a decent view. But the masquerading was nowhere in sight. Sighing, she began her decent.

Her plan was working! And so the Masquerin was hiding in the bushes watching as the girl begun to climb the tree after she sat both her coat and bag down. Giggling quite quietly to herself before she quickly flew out of the bushes and rushed on over to the girl’s bag. She begun to dig in the bag, hoping to get done quick enough before the trainer would even notice! Now where oh where was the pokemon food that was in this bag of hers? She hoped to find it before the girl descended the tree. And voila! She did! But would she be able to grab it out in time? Or would the trainer catch her? Liz's feet hit the ground. She dusted her hands off on her jeans, not noticing the Masquerain for the time being. The next place she looked was- ironically- in the bushes where the Masquerain had been hiding only minutes before. Nothing. She began checking hollows in trees or in small caves built by roots. Jeez, did the weird pokemon fly away? The trainer turned around. Then she saw the pokemon. It was digging around in her bag, seeming to be looking for something. "Hey, what are you doing?" She asked, crossing the space between them. "Stealing isn't allowed! If you need something, just say so." she frowned at the pokemon, now aware that it had probably been tricking her.

Quickly, she grabbed whatever was closest to her in the bag and flew up into the air, flying over to tree before landing on a branch and looking down at the girl. > Hmph, as if I care what others think!< she laughed at the young trainer after she sat her item down on the branch. She hadn’t even looked to see what it was that she managed to grab… All she knew was that she was at least successful at getting it. > I’d like to see you try and get it back!< she laughed, it was like a game to her. As soon as Liz finished her scolding, she put her hands on her hips and glared at the masquerain the way a parent would to a misbehaving child. The pokemon froze at first, and the trainer thought for a moment it would see it had been wrong, apologize, and maybe even settle down to have lunch with Liz.in a flash it grabbed the pokemon food and flew into a tree. Liz glanced down, shocked. Then she saw the masquerain's mistake. Slowly, a smug grin spread across her face. "Heh," she smirked. "Sorry, but that's the wrong item." The item the masquerain has taken was a potion. As in man made- completely useless to a wild pokemon.
((Ooc Not really sure if this is powerplaying. But the post said she grabbed whatever was closest without looking at it. If this was a mistake, I'll edit it.))

[STYLE=border-bottom: 5px solid #FFC7FF;] [/style] The masquerain looked at the trainer as if she were crazy even as she still held the item earlier, but she eventually would give it back after dropping it by some unknown force. Oh yes, she was cackling as she ran away, but it seemed she couldn't fly too high with it. Considering she had to keep her mind relaxed if she wanted to get used to this. Yes, she had stolen a potion, that was good enough for her as she swerved in between trees and then turned back to just stop to laugh at the trainer again. Ahahaha, stupid trainer, falling for that trick! It always works she said, but realized she didn't have a berry. That means she'd have to go back as she flung the useless item back towards the trainer at full force via her wing as it flapped. Well, that was the intent, but whether or not it hit her. How about we play a different game? This one's called gullible and it's written on the sky! she said joyously to the trainer as she fluttered close enough again to just hover away from her. Luckily she wasn't holding anything now after tossing the item back. There was always a ploy behind her actions, and hopefully the trainer would be gullible enough to look at the sky. ::masquerain:: level 25 - female - masquerain ability gust | water sport | sweet scent | quick attack | bubble | ominous wind likes to annoy trainers | has a tendency to try and steal Pokémon food and berries | only cares about herself trying to take Pokémon food. Li, snatched her bag off the ground and chased after the masquerain, hoping to get the potion back. She had thought it would drop the item, since wild pokemon had no use fir such a thing. thunk! The potion dropped onto her head. "What the-?! Jeez!" she snatched the bottle off the ground and stuck it back in her bag. The eyeball pokemon suddenly swooped forward, hovering close to Liz. "Um, no. I'm not playing another 'game.'" she growled. For a moment she considered sensing out one of her own pokemon... but it looked like it was a much higher level than her own pokemon.

[STYLE=border-bottom: 5px solid #FFC7FF;] [/style] Well, this trainer was a party pooper but she really wanted that food as she stared hungrily at it. Suddenly she just stopped moving altogether, but a gust of wind suddenly blew her away with it as she had tried to fight the hurricane of wind that came out of nowhere. Up in the air, a strange bird-like pokemon had hovered overhead, but the shadow was cause of the sun as it moved away from the scene at hand, although the tail end of a beautifly could have been seen. Ah well, it seemed it was cleaning up messes that were being thrown all over the place, but what was this, mating season for all the bug pokemon? Either way, a sudden intrusion caused the whole forest to shudder as a weedle was suddenly thrown against a tree in a rather brutal fight. A beedrill suddenly flittered down to the ground as he basically raised his drills in a karate like manner, Hyah, take that young padawan, you will never learn if you don't try harder! he said to the weedle that seemed to have been knocked out. Suddenly the weedle shook it's head and then jumped up to fight her 'sensei' again. HAH! You think you have the upper hand, master? I don't think so, I have yet to reveal my full power...BEHOLD, MY MANLY CHEST! AHYAYAYAYAYAYA! the weedle said, making imitation noises of beating her chest and wiggling all of his legs a the same time. A very creepy sight as the beedrill laughed at the weedle. HAH! You call that an attack! Come at me! the beedrill boasted, of course the weedle was obviously no match at all. The beedrill was preparing his young padawan for the trials of life and teaching her the hard way. Surely there were easier ways as the weedle suddenly aimed a poison sting at the beedrill but he merely used his left drill to deflect it like a boss. No damage occurred, but the beedrill was certainly impressed. That ends our training for today, you have successfully used your first attack that actually hit me! Congratulations you have increased your rank to pest! the beedrill commented clapping his drills together. There was one distinct thing about this beedrill and it was wearing a black belt around it's abdomen, which was odd. On top of it's head it was wearing a white bandanna to indicate it's seriousness of this trade. The weedle merely jumped up and down as she merely was happy to hear praise from the beedrill. Thank you master, I mean sensei! she commented. Unaware they were in the presence of the trainer nearby. The weedle was wearing a yellow belt on her head instead of a white bandanna now as the yellow beedrill replaced the white one she had been wearing. <One day you too will be the rank of Swarm Pest and join the Swarm Pest club, and will take on hordes of enemies! Just keep up the good work,> the beedrill said to the weedle, and she was even more glorified by the comment as she wiggled her whole torso that could have been considered a swoon. ::masquerain:: level 25 - female - masquerain ability gust | water sport | sweet scent | quick attack | bubble | ominous wind likes to annoy trainers | has a tendency to try and steal Pokémon food and berries | only cares about herself trying to take Pokémon food. Liz stared at the Tweedledum and Beedrill. They hadn't seemed to notice her yet.. After the Masquerain suddenly flung the potion back at Liz, the eyeball pokemon zoomed away in an irritated flurry. Almost immediately, a Weedle being thrown into a tree replaces her. "The heck! she shouted, then clamped her hands over her mouth as a Beedrill landed, karate style. The Weedle, thankfully, was okay. She allowed herself to relax for a moment when he suddenly flung himself at the Beedrill! Idiot! she screamed in her head. That bee was more than five times his size! It blocked the Weedle's attack, but didn't seem interested in retaliating. Taking this chance, the red haired trainer hid behind a tree and focused all her energy into making herself as small as possibly. In her mind, she counted how many dangerous situations she'd been in.
Risk of Beartic attack Risk of being annoyed to death by Vullaby Risk of getting caught in a hailstorm Risk of being swarmed by nincada Risk of being stung by a Beedrill
Just an average day in the Cheyenne region.

He knew exactly where she was, but he sensed that she didn't want to make her presence known to him. Rather, she was hiding, and that meant she didn't really want to be noticed.
Strange. Didn't trainers usually want to battle to increase their strength and knowledge? Sure, Beedrill were a fairly intimidating sight for anyone who had even an atom of a brain. Their bright yellow bodies and jet black stripes were an obvious warning – don't come too close, or you might get stung. Perhaps that was why police officers fenced off a crime scene with flashy yellow tape and bold black letters?
In any case, the Beedrill wasn't too interested in fighting Liz, though he was a bit irate that she was failing so badly at hiding from him. Well, in his opinion, she was doing a poor job, though that didn't necessarily reflect on anyone else. With a sigh, he angled his triangular head towards the tree and called out, “I know you are there. Come on out and speak with me. I offer you no harm.”

Liz flinched when the Beedrill suddenly spoke out. He spoke oddly- in a formal way that greatly contrasted with the more casual ways of speaking nowadays. Hesitantly, she stepped out from behind the tree. Thinking back on it, that was a fairly pathetic hiding place. She turned to face the giant bee pokemon. Actually, he was kind of cool looking. The giant spikes on his forelegs were both terrifying and at the same time impressive. And the wings were really pretty looking, too. She squinted slightly, trying to see the fine details. Remembering that he was still fully capable of attacking, she jerked up and tried making eye contact to not seem rude. "Uhm, can I ask why you and the Weedle were fighting? I mean, you're so much bigger than her!" Her eyes were wide as she suddenly blurted those words out.

Liz's eyebrows lifted in surprise. That was rather sudden. She took a small step back, a bit nervous from the closeness of her and the Beedrill. "I wouldn't mind!" she said hurriedly. Actually, it could be useful to have another pokemon in her party- and this one seemed to have battle experience. "If that's ok with you, Weedle, I think you'd enjoy travelling with me and my pokemon. Kitsune and Hishou are good friends, and once Roxy gets used to you, she'll be a good companion." she smiled at the Weedle, now quite enthusiastic towards the Beedrills's idea. Maybe the poison-bug type would even have a battle with her pokemon. The Weedle seemed to be in the same level range as the rest of her party, too.

Liz grinned and nodded. She had quickly adjusted to the Beedrill's presence, now feeling completely at ease. "To make this a fair fight, I'm sending out Quil. Just warning you, she's a bit short tempered, so try to disregard anything she says." With those words and an apologetic smile, she released the Shinx. Quil looked down at the Weedle, scorn clear on her face. Don't tell me you want this worm to join the team. Come on, she doesn't even reach my knee. The Shinx lowered her head, glaring directly at the Weedle in a leer. Listen up, wormy. It doesn't matter if Liz brings you along, I'll always consider you as a pathetic pest!
Ironically, the Weedle's rank had been increased to pest only a few minutes ago.

The young weedle was determined to prove herself to her sensei no matter what, but when the angry shinx appeared she immediately grew frightened. The electric type hated her on sight and she felt so small in comparison to the large feline. But her sensei was bigger than she and they sparred regularly. Size did not matter! Or at least she hoped it didn't... The weedle winced from the leer attack, feeling scared, but she raised her head and aimed a string shot at the shinx, following it up quickly with a poison sting. The sticky threads wrapped around the Shinx's legs, quickly limiting her movement. Thinking quickly, the yellow fur along her legs and tail lit up. Suddenly, the Shinx was a tiny sun. Despite this, the Weedle's stinger dug into her flank. Luckily, Quil managed to jump back before the venom was fully injected.
As she jumped, the threads quickly snapped. Hmph, is that all? she hissed, ignoring the stinging pain left by the Weedle's attack. Using the momentum from her leap, she charged at the Weedle, aiming to tackle her.
Liz grinned as she watched. Silently, she cheered on both pokemon.
