Verona City was very "usual" today. As usual, the sky was blue with a few lofty clouds drifting by. As usual, the sun lazily beat down on the world below. As usual, a tint Vulpix was desperately trying to avoid being trampled- wait, what?!
Kitsune's eyes were wide with shock. She weaved through the crowd, leaping above and around hundreds of feet and legs. Occasionally, an irritated pedestrian would aim a kick at the fox Pokémon as she passed. She would dodge, and her attacker would instead kick his neighbor in the shin and quickly some sort of argument or brawl would break out on the sidewalk.
"Liz, Li- agh! Watch it, jerk," Kitsune barked as someone nearly stepped on her many tails. Panic began to set in as she realized her trainer was nowhere in sight. Suddenly, her ears pricked as she thought she heard a familiar voice. "Kitsune! Where are you?" "Miss Liz, I see her!" Now the high pitched squawk of Hishou came from above.
A Redheaded trainer appeared before Kitsune, safely scooping the Vulpix into her arms. "Hishou, I got her! she called. The male Taillow quickly lighted down on Liz's shoulder. "Stay close to me, Hishou, she murmured. The bird bobbed his head as Kitsune burrowed into Liz's dark green T-shirt.
Starting.g to become rather claustrophobic herself, Liz dodged into the nearest building: Verona Care. Sighing in relief, she sank into an empty booth, releasing Kitsune from her hold. Hishou simply fluttered off her shoulder and onto the seat's frame. Kitsune curled up in a furry bundle in Liz's lap.
Liz leaned back, groaning quietly. So this was a usual day in the city.
